Eden Kitchen/Cantina/Café in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Always good food here. The service is on the slower side as they'll "do it dreckly". During busier times, it's been rather hard to achieve hot food, speedy service and the ability to gain all the utensils you need for a meal. As someone with a locals pass, I've been here several times this year and it's truly pot luck with the service here. The self service cleanup situation is wonderful, but for those who want table service and to be waited on, that is not what the ethos is about. You gotta do things yourself. As for the pricing, yes whilst some of it may be "overpriced", I would hasten to argue that if you don't want to pay too much to begin with, don't bother coming in. Lovely experiences here as ever.

Three cheese pasta had no salt at all and the pasta was cooked through way beyond, could be served in a retirement home.

Massively busy meaning you queue for ages. Food is appalling quality, anaemic potatoes that quickly turn into a sloppy unappealing mush. £3.50 for a sausage roll too. What a rip off

Had the classic burger and it was literally delicious. It was the perfect temperature too so no burnt tongue while still melting the cheese. Service was pretty quick though a little confusing to navigate as the signs aren't entirely visible for where to go unless you go the wrong way first. Atmosphere was only low ish as there were so many people and it was pretty loud (kind of expected though)

The food was cold, very expensive, tasteless

Had a nice shawarma wrap, but you are doing your ingredients a dis-service you have the best quality pitas but they were cold... Cook them to order or just keep them warm.

NACHOS WITH NO CHEESE!!!!! Bought some really over price crisps with some vegetables on top, £8. Took them back and asked for cheese and the girl said that there was stuff on top, but they don't come with cheese 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣 Pure jokes The lad severing next to her said, "to be fair I would be expecting cheese too if I ordered nachos" I would have respected her more if she said, well its Nach-Yo cheese!! I could have had the same meal if i bought half a bad of Doritos and scraped some vegetable left overs of someone's plate!! If anyone from the kitchen reads this, please look up the definition of nachos on any search engine. And if any potential customers read this, don't of the CRISPS AND VEGTABLE SOUP, oh I mean nachos!! 😏 🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣

If it were half the price you could overlook the quality and service

I was super happy with my vegetarian salad. So many different fresh vegetables! I was expecting unhealthy fast food and was pleasantly surprised by the quality and variety of dishes

It’s what you expect from a cafe at a major tourist attraction. It’s overpriced and poor quality. The Cornish Pasty was a bit dry and it was also cold.

Food expensive and very large queues, could not buy hot food and sandwiches from same station. Had to pay £2.50 deposit per cup

Do you know your plants they are here, the kids will love it plenty to do and see a good day out.

Had mixed bean chilli, it was a big portion of fresh chilli with big portion of rice

it's a self-service place with.multiple different serving points. Pretty basic but OK.

This Kitchen and dining experience is nightmare trust me. Poor service, taking advantage of tired and hungry people. Hungry ming only wants food don't care taste. Poor number of staff. I think catering services should be changed. Take your own food and sit in the sitting area. This canteen spoil whole hard work of eden project.

Picking your nose and scratching, then putting your hands on customers' silverware is not ok. Only one person had gloves in the serving area . Hygiene is not a joke. Lest not talk about prices as well. I can understand 8 £ for a salad. But 4£ for 2 slices of bread, are you joking ? Overall, scenery is amazing but not a pleasant place to dine in.

Que time far too long for service provided. Over an hour wait to get served at any of the vendors be it sandwich bar or hot food. Under staffed at a peak time, Staff had no urgency about them. Mostly young inexperienced in desperate need of training in hospitality. If this was any other restaurant anywhere else you’d simply walk out. Sort it out Eden

Good food and drinks and ice cream. All at a reasonable price, unlike a lot of places where your a captive audience

Good selection of food for everyone and reasonably priced £3.50 for large pasties £12 -£20 for sit-down lunches coffees teas and cold drinks available.

Absolutely horrendous que was so long it took around 30/40 mins to get to front, food choices very limited, and food whilst it looked nice actually tasted disgusting, the hot dogs the sausages where are dark red colour and tasted yuk my children wouldn't eat them so went to waste, the macaroni cheese was powdery and not any nicer, I had chimicurri chicken so should have chilli and some flavour, but was so bland and down know how the chicken is cooked but skin is all soggy and not appetising at all so in all 80% of food went into the bin! Complete waste of £50 and we all went hungry

A good selection of cold drinks, good coffee (?), if only they train their staff to make a good cup. Very limited selection of food. You are basically trapped what Cornwall have to offer which is frozen pasties baked continuously. If you ever wish to have eggs or salmon or avocado… keep dreaming.

Long queue but vegetable curry was very tasty. Rather small portion as we were both hungry after 20 minutes of queuing

The dining experience is abysmal. If you compare previous reviews from 9 months ago to mine, you will see the toppings on the meat pizza have disappeared. Look at the fridge that was in the customer facing dining hall. It was dirty, falling apart and the drinks were not cold. Two pizzas, two cold drinks, one hot drink and some potato bites cost us over £36. I would strongly suggest that you pack your own good quality nutritious lunch and drinks. Eden project is obviously a tourist trap but they can be more subtle about it and serve up food worth eating. The balcony above the kitchen also allows people to lean over the cooking area so any hair coming off them, dirt etc falls right down into the kitchen which has no canopy over it. The place is poorly managed shambles. There was no sign of any management at the food hall. They ran out of dips for the whole time we were there, we had to ask for knives to eat with. Absolute disgrace. The Eden project need to reinvest profits into their facility which is now an attraction over 20 years old and is losing its wow factor

Pretty disappointing, some half stale food, forgotten orders and warm beer. The staff seem understandably fairly unenthusiastic to be here.

taste of food was disappointed. mac & cheese was split. pizza was ok but taste like a using tomato ketchup. not a home made sauce.

Great location but terrible service. Very limited menu almost sold out by 1pm, and while a cheese sandwich is a cheese sandwich with only cheese inside (a scrap of salad or tomato would be good), it shouldn't take ten minutes to queue for and have made.

Pizza was good. A limited menu has replaced what used to be a fantastic canteen style choice of amazing food.

Too expensive and limited choice. Food is a choice between wraps and pizzas and only a couple of flavours of each. Food is ordered outside and then collected inside via a buzzer. Plenty of soft drink options. Or food order was ready in 15 minutes.. But can to £50 for 4 of us. The quality was OK but was too expensive for what it is. Tip: there is a drinking water refill tap on the rear wall in the seating area

Insanely small portions and coffees. They did refund one of the meals in the end after mentioning it and the batista even said he knew they were overpriced and laughed awkwardly.

Nice restaurant to go to for meal located between rainforest biome and the medeteranian biome, nice experience heighly recommended.,،،،,👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

Most overpriced and bland pizza I’ve ever tasted. What a rip off.

Hilariously overprized. I payed 4.90 (40p extra for oatmilk) for a small iced Americano. Last time I had these prizes I visited St. Tropez and I would've gotten a large Cappuccino.

In the current situation a restricted menu is in place however the burritos were tasty. Lovely local ice cream as well.

Not what I thought but very good

Overpriced cream tea - poor scones, dry and crumbly (recently defrosted?). Dirty tables in an almost empty cafe. Disappointing.

Had some burritos, wasn't very nice and very very very expensive. The cafe was nice and clean tho, staff was friendly hence why not 1 star.

Kept clean and tidy. order drinks and pay for drinks at one window and collect at next one, staff are clearly working to keep everyone safe.

Pathetic pizza. Order chorizo and got this. Made with salami and barely any toppings.

I had a pizza but the little buzzer to let me know it was ready didn't work so it was still hot but the toppings had stuck to the box where it was cut. The base was a bit burnt in places too.

Love the food and great prices. Especially if you use an ecocup.

The food was served on dirty wooden plates. Hart of the food from the menu was gone 2 hours before closing time at 4ish.

The food was just okay, nothing special but at premium prices. I will take my own food next time I visit because after paying a pretty pricey entrance fee to the project, it makes it an expensive day out.

Cooked food great, not much to choose if you just want something small

Large open cafe in the heart of the Eden complex, good variety of styles and food catering to all tastes. Plenty of beverage choice and easy access to lifts and facilities. Prices seemed okay and the group I was with seemed happy. The position was perfect for a break during the visit or even towards end. Transport available if mobility an issue,also novel.

A large open plan restaurant at the central part of the Eden project domes - three of us ate there with our baby and had a great time. Tasty food with a home cooked edge. We then disappeared into the eden project bellies full, never to be seen again

Lovely place for a coffee and food, you can sit outside as well and enjoy atmosphere of Eden project. We run quite regularly Eden parkrun every Saturday and occasionally sit down here for a treat after completing the run. Recently we found a nice spot inside with a view into the Mediterranean biome. Scones and cinnamon bun were delicious.

Decent food, bit like a canteen, busy and noisy but O.K. while visiting Eden project.

The cafe is in a great location, right between the rainforest and Mediterranean biomes, and is split in to two separate sides. We decided on the World section, which consisted of different burrito style wraps as well as a few other items, such as cassava fries. The food was fairly tasty however pretty expensive for what it was, the meal in the attached picture was around £17.
