Was charged 16£ for a whole Cod fillet, that was tast less bone dry thing and fries that were supposed to be "large" , but actually not much and not nearly fresh... They serve the food hot-hot ,so if you are hungry and eat it straight away - you wouldn't feel the taste of it... Upon cooling down it's only good for the dogs...The only accepted cash and charge likeaf; there were 3 people staffing the shop, but still wasn't clean - clean...Not happy of ANY aspect of it!

It pains me to leave this bad review but when I say the chips were bad. I mean they were BAD. Hard as rock. There is no way the shop should have served these up and sold them to customers

Over here on holidays from Australia. Have tried lots of different chicken kebabs all over England and in Australia - and this was hands down "the best we have EVER had". We sat in to eat - the guys were so friendly, the food looked great when it was presented, we got the 2 small bowls of chilli and garlic/cucumber sauce and not a single piece of food was left. Would highly recommend and will definitely be going there again before we leave to go home!

Five stars isn't enough... After my train got cancelled and being faced with an hour extra before I'd get my dinner, I tried my luck with getting some food. Eddie was on it like a car bonnet, and in under 20mins I had a fantastic Chicken and lamb donner with all the trimmings in my hand. The food was excellent and the helpful service was absolutely spot on.

Our family of five just had a meal at Eddie's and absolutely loved the staff as well as the food. The restaurant smells of great food, and we were impressed that the staff washed hands before serving us. Eddie the owner made us feel at home with his smile and chat. He spoiled us with extras we didnt pay for- delicious salad plate and turkish tea. We are not local, and now on the way home, happy that we found this place, and we will definetely be going back.

Thank god,at last I've found an excellent place to eat when I'm at work.Rock and chips with mushy peas and tartare sauce was cooked fresh.I ate in the restaurant and the very friendly gentleman there made me feel very welcome....Eddie himself cooked my fish and chips perfectly for me and what a lovely welcoming good man he is.Thankyou Eddie and the boys. Tastiest fish and chips in North London.

It’s pretty hard for a chip shop to mess up a simple portion of chips…..but my order was burnt, cooked in stale oil and inedible. Very disappointing

i would rather shxt in my hands and clap then order from this place just look at there reviews before ordering walk to the top of the rd and there is probably one of the best chip shops in waltham forest called fish & chicken

This fast food is real, it really exists and is not just a light that you see from the street but a real restaurant where the big guy from Cyprus will take care of you correctly. Avoid pepper sauce if you want to live for the next week. Kisses.

The fish and chips here was absolutely delicious! The cod was very crispy and the tartare sauce here was homemade by the owner. Would definitely come here again when I come down to Chingford. The owner here has alot of pride in what he does and the worker there too (I believe his name is Mustafa) served us well with good customer service. Would recommend to anyone who wants to have authentic fish and chips 👍

The service is very hit and miss. New and different workers all the time who don't seem to listen, the prices vary which is weird. Random people going behind the counter all the time, not sure they even work there.

I have to honestly say this is one of the best places I've eaten....not just for the delicious homemade food, but for the customer service!!! Eddie & his cousin are soooooo friendly, inviting & their 1st priority is to ensure their customers are happy. Really lovely guys. All the staff are wonderful. The food tastes healthy and is not smothered in grease like a lot of kebab shops. They use high quality ingredients, and everything is cooked with love to perfection.I live on the other side of London to them, but have already been twice in 1 week! I already feel like these guys are friends, as they make you feel so welcome & they catered to my sons allergies. Highly recommend a visit!

place looks good that's the only 1 star it's getting. food was way over priced. got a pie and chips. chips was dry and cold. pie wasn't at correct temperature. I politely asked how much was my bill got told a tenner would do. so gave the ten note and left quietly for home to the disappointment which I only live 3 4 mins walking distance. had a couple it's of the chips and and small bite of pie then threw it away. never again will I. sorry Eddie

Terrible food, took 1hr & 40mintues to get here. Had phoned up twice to see where it was. Then it got sent to the wrong address. Apparently I then got a new order with fresh food as complained it would be cold. Spoke to the manager and was assured it would be new fresh food. The Food had clearly been reheated not fresh at all. Chips were soggy, tasted horrible. The meat was dry, cold, hard, chewy and disgusting. Very dissatisfied with this service. Very overly priced for such poor food. Would not recommend at all.

Amazing food and service! Eddie's team were so friendly and nothing was a problem. Went there with work at lunchtime and they really made us feel welcome! Food was very tasty and I would recommend it to anyone. Plus, they treated us to free Sutlac (Turkish rice pudding) which was delicious! Thanks again, we will be back!

I turned up to Eddie’s fish bar to be greeted with big smiles and happy faces from the staff and owner. Honestly it was my first time trying Eddie’s fish bar and it’s honestly taken my breath away the food was divine and the Turkish Cypriot sheftali kebab, this was my first time trying this at Eddie’s and may I just say this could probably be the best I’ve had. It was so fresh and lovely and was so reasonably priced. I will definitely be back! To be continued guys.. and a big up his son who cooked me the lovely meal I had. I’ve red reviews online and cannot emphasise how much I was doubting this place but Take me word guys this place is far from some of the bad reviews I have read. YOU MUST TRY THIS PLACE! Overall Experience 10/10

Me and a friend of mine were working in the area decided to get some lunch spent £33.00 on food which we both had 2 bites of and ended up binning the rest say no more. On making the food the owner was very passionate about his business over-egging in the pudding and it showed in the food as well. Never again would prefer staying hungry TBH

Awful, I just order two Shish kebab was look disgusting and smell I’m sure it wasn’t fresh meat , the man was wrapping the food , wiped sweat form his forehead by hand and then preparing my food and then again when he wanted to put the food in bag he lick his finger to open plastic bag trust me I didn’t touch the food even straight away bin

By far THE WORST chips I've ever had. They don't use the standard Marie Pipers potatoes, they use some other cheaper potato which absorbs so much oil. Try the nearby Fish & Chicken on Chingford Mount or Golden Palace, they use the proper potatoes and oil, which produces a better product. The donner kebab here, small is £7 which is more expensive than most other kebab shops. And the meat tastes like cheap greasy wastage from the butchers, not prime quality meat like that of award winning kebab shops in London, why am I comparing to them ? Because this place charges the same as them like they're in the same league.

The food was cold and soggy. The batter sausage wasn’t cooked properly. The lamb shish don’t get me started on thattttt the pitta bread was cold and doughy there was only 4 pieces of lamb robbed me £8 and it was overall horrible the chips tasted weird like they haven’t changed the oil and just looked discoloured. I’d never order from there again.

I placed an order on Just Eat from Eddies and suprisingly the food arrived 30 minutes early which put a question in my mind. The Lamb Doner was cold and too salty I could not eat it. The salad that came with it was not fresh. The Chicken Shish was overcooked and very dry my daughter threw it away. The cod and chips was overcooked and did not have a fishy taste at all. The chips were soggy. Very upset right now. Me my partner and my daughter have not had any dinner after losing £41.10 on rubbish food I am furious. I called the restaurant and I was dismissed by the rude chef I am never going to order from here AGAIN and I will never go through Just Eat ever again. I will be making sure I let my friends and family who live locally so they can share this around too so they do not get treated the way me and my family have.

This place treats you like a King, we love Eddie, so warm and friendly , very genuine his staff are great, they are all doing a great job. The food ...Lord, it is so good I travel all the way from Highbury to eat his delicious whole Chicken , big chips, salad and a bottle of drink...for 15 quid. And the chips are proper chip shop chips. Cooked in good oil, taste as it should be. His fish....fresh, like you catched it yourself and cooked nicely....really juicy, and crispy, we enjoyed it. The Chicken and chips deal, feeds about 4 people.....as a family, we try and eat there as much as possible, when we are not cooking ourselves. Highbury is far to go, but it really is that good we travel to get a takeaway from Eddie's, other places local to us just not as good, I haven't eatern in, we always get a takeaway that I collect myself. Keep up the good work, spread the gospel. Best chicken and chips for 15 quid.

Eddie is very welcoming and always has what you fancy from kebab to roast chicken , fresh fish battered in front of you , fresh salads and lovely chips ! he is our go to takeaway guy ! Great service 👏 great food 👌

Please don't waste ya money in this place its a joke,8 quid for a small kebab 4 cubes of chicken 🐔 . Seriously you couldn't make it up,and your still be hank marvin when your done.Much better and cheaper kebab shops about,and plenty of them..👎

Cod was OK. Overcooked and dry but edible. The chips were so, so awful. Soggy, slimy, inedible lumps of discoloured potato. Really dissapointing. I got a pie which was pukka brand... so not thier fault it was disgusting, but the pie didn't event have the ingredients listed in English... Which was weird. Where did it come from? and does it have milk in it? It was just super dissapointing.

I wont be ordering from this place again. They cant tell the difference between a regular sized sausage and jumbo size it all costs the same. Their chips are nothing to right home about either

Overpriced, overcooked and over charged, but the chips were good. This was my first visit to Eddie's and to be fair it was not all great. Unfortunately I was over charged for the meal, which is not a good start. Though this will lower my score, it will not change my thoughts to the quality of the meal itself. The heat of the meal was good, no complaints there. Their chips are great, 8 or even 9 out of 10, well done. The cod fish is obviously good quality, the flakes were about the size of a £2 coin, the batter was OK, a little bit thicket than I prefer, but I would not complain about it and be happy to eat it. Unfortunately the cod itself was overcooked, dry and a bit chewy which was a shame as it was a great piece of cod. Their saveloys are beef, which normal don't have that traditional saveloy taste, but these are very close so I was both happy and surprised, so would order these again. Pickled onions were tiny, but at least you got two, that said they were super sharp, just what you want from a pickled onion. One was a little soft and squidgy the other lovely and firm, but because of the taste I'd order again. The gherkins equally were as small, no bigger than you'd buy from a supermarket and you only get one, which for the price is poor. They were more on the salty side than the sweet or dill pickle most fish bars sell. This is neither good or bad, it is an individual preference. However were lovely firm and crisp. The staff looked tried and and overworked, there were no smiles or small talk as they prepared the meal, which is fine but was not the warm welcome you expect when you see the smiling picture of Eddie on the menus. Summary: There are good and bad points, I think comparing with other fish shops in the area Eddie's falls short in several area and yet excels in others. For the money I feel other shops offer a better product for less money. There are equally shops that offer the same meal for less money but lower quality too. I will eat a fish meal from here again, but only if the other shops are closed, i.e late at night or on Sunday and I will be asking for a receipt. Some small changes could make this a great fish bar. I look forward to my next visit to try their kebab offering.

Tried Eddie's fish and chips yesterday, after all the braging about being the best in the area. I was disappointed, I found it over priced and small portions. My wife had sausage and chips, about 1 hour later she started to feel unwell. I'll not be going back.

Thought I'd try this place as I drive past it alot and like an earlier review the hygiene is not great..the Zombie serving me (Doesn't look like he has slept or showered for days) didn't even realise I was there..then without looking up from his phone asked me what I wanted. To which he tried to add money onto the price on the board. Still on his phone, no gloves touching everything!! Not a good look guys! Then a customer walks in and obviously knows them so he is in the front and the back of the shop..very hygienic! The shish wrap was ok but the lettuce ruined it..tasted old and soggy like it had been there for days! I won't be coming back..
