Eddie's Chippy in Wrexham

Just had fish and chips from Eddie's chippy, the best fish n chips I've had in Wrexham for a long time and a couple of lemon wedges with the fish , a really nice little touch. My regular chippy from now on.

Waited for a chicken breast to be cooked - but upon opening it at home found grey/green Mark's under the skin and a very unpleasant smell. On returning it to the shop, little or no concern was shown, the assistant took it into the rear of the shop and returned to say "sorry" the 'boss' said to give you your money back. No 'show' from the owner, - main concern that this could have happened to another customer.NO report or explanation given - will NOT USE THIS CHIP SHOP AGAIN. BUYER BEWARE.

been there today, chips that hard through being re-cooked nobody could eat them. battered sausage had no batter, everything we bought was terrible and expensive. give this place a miss!!

Went in earlier this evening. I was served by a young lady with red hair in 2 plates I received the best service. The food was spot on. She had previous orders before mine (she was busy) and she still managed to complete all orders with a smile,manners and politeness. I will be visiting again after tonight. It was my first time visiting the chippy and Ill look forward to the food and the service I received tonight. Thank you to the lady. Il be back soon.

Called here today and this place used to great for fish and chips but today I can honestly say I have found the worst chips possible, broke three plastic forks and still could not pick up a chip as they were as hard as nails... All I can say is terrible food but served with a smile..

Don't have a single bad word to say, the staff are always friendly, the food always nice and the prices are fair. I tend to just go for fish chips and curry sauce but the menu is pretty extensive so alot of variety!

I visited Eddie's on Monday teatime 25th feb, about 17.20 I placed my order with the girl, oh I mean chav I though I was in London with a chavvy talk (love, what can I get you love) I don't think it relevant a lady in my 50 to be called love by a 20 year old, think the youth of today need to learn manners

Used to be a good chippy years ago, now very poor. The owner doesn't seemed to bothered though, he makes more money as a slum landlord renting out uninhabitable rooms to the homeless at an extortionate cost to the council.

What exactly was the award given to this chippy? It certainly can't be for the food they serve. It's quite embarrassing they have to make a big deal about being the first chippy allowed off licence alcohol sales and vodka on the optics. Now on to the food. I opted for a beef burger and chips. The burger was a large diameter and the portion of chips was excessive too. The batter on the beef burger was rock solid in bits and very crunchy inside. Once the batter was removed the beer burger was wafer thin. They must surely slice the beer burger in half as you'll never see a thinner burger in your life. The burger was as bad as the batter for taste. As for the chips.......I've never been served chips that greasy before. A horrible meal.

Haven't been here for a long while, but always rated it as a very good chippy.Went in a couple of days ago, with my youngest son, I told him he'd enjoy the food.It's OK, but definitely not as good as it once was. His jumbo sausage was fine, he liked the gravy, but the chips were terrible, very greasy and full of "eyes". I had to agree with him, the chips were pretty poor. I've always gone for the burger in batter in the past, sorry I did this time, it was undercooked and incredibly greasy, one bite and it went in the bin. Staff were pleasant, place is as immaculately clean, as it always has been. We were both disappointed

Nice and clean, great selection of foods and really friendly staff. Fish and chips were all freshly cooked and really tasty, curry sauce was delicious, this is a great chippy and I will definitely come back!

We had 20 Boxes of Fish & Chips delivered from Wrexham to Caergwrle last night, they arrived on time, hot and delicious a great end to our committee meeting. thank you !

Was passing today and called in as the smell of the food made me hungry and McDonald's just don't do anything for a serious hunger. The fish was amazing and the chips were as imagined. The guy on the fryer was chirpy and made me laugh a few times and the service I received was 100% perfect. Will defo call in again and just wish I didn't live so far away.

The turkey and trimmings had all been consumed, the pheasants had given there all, the smoked salmon was no more;; The christmas pudding and brandy sauce had seen better days, but with a visiting family to feed, an urgent decision was necessary!

Don't know what is happening these days at Eddie's, this used to be a really good chippy, however over the past couple of years the standard of the food has dropped dramatically. On my most recent visit I can only say the fish & chips were awful. The batter on the fish was rock hard & the chips were all bitty, they are not far off £6 here now for fish & chips so the food quality needs to greatly improve. The sign above the shop says award winning fish & chips well they hardly are. Unless there is a massive improvement I don't think I'll be bothering to go back here very often.

Cannot fault, beat fish and chips in the area. Price is reasonable and the staff are friendly. Would recommend.

Compramos para comer en el coche en el viaje por primera vez. Absolutamente deliciosos los tres de nosotros estábamos contentos. Patatas fritas y pescado seco encantador ligeramente maltratada eran excelentes. El pescado era una delicia y llena de sabor. El personal era encantador para comprar. ¡volveremos!

Called in on my way home the food was terrible and the owner was very rude to his staff and to customers waiting would never go there again

Use this chippy often. Excellent fish but chips could be crisper. Prices are reasonable and portions are very good. Staff are very friendly and efficient.

The Outside looked quite inviting. Clean and Modern appearance so decided to give it a whirl. Inside was clean and tidy and was served by a pleasant member of staff. Received a Decent sized Fish which was Freshly Cooked ..Decent Price.. No Complaints

The fish and chips were OK, (except for the fishes back bone I nearly choked on). There wasn't many chips and the beans weren't very warm. The staff were both lovely and the premises was really clean. 3/5

Como estábamos pasando por ir a ver un espectáculo. El personal era muy amable y el lugar estaba muy limpio. El pescado y las patatas fritas eran recién preparado y muy sabroso. Las patatas fritas podría haber sido preparado por un poco más, pero en general, fue una buena relación calidad-precio. Sin duda llamar de nuevo cuando estemos en la zona.

Used to live around the corner from here and it was always a decent chippy , so as I was driving past the other week I thought I'd call in for some fish and chips .......biggest mistake in my life ,the batter on the fish was like cardboard the fish inside was all dried out and hard and the chips were like 3 day old warm up .....don't buy food from here

The shop front looked lovely and inviting; the interior of the shop was lovely - clean and modern; the fish, chips and peas were awful. The batter on the fish was likened to 'old carpet', the 'mushy' peas were like bullets and the chips had to be cut like a cake in one solid lump. Awful!!
