Eaton's Bar and Brasserie in Nottingham

We booked three for lunch at 12.30 but could find not staff when we arrived. The one we did find did not know they had a brasserie.! We were offered a table but the waitress could not find the wine list. We left.

We read reviews on Tripadvisor and, given we were staying there for the evening, decided to eat in. The first surprise was there was a very reduced menu - supposedly due to Covid. (We went to two restaurants last weekend and both had full menus). The calamari came VERY quickly and all I could taste was batter. It always alarms me when food comes so quickly after ordering. My burger was mediocre at best and my wife said her lasagne was so so. I would have given feedback if anyone had asked how the food was. Staff were friendly enough though.

Been using the restaurant since early 2019, always good food with specials updated periodically, staff very friendly & efficient.

Had a lovely meal 10/10 would recommend Andy specially made sex on the beach cocktail was very nice food was delicious

Stayed at the hotel for three nights and had dinner twice and breakfast three times. Made to feel most welcome, the service was great and the food excellent! Difficult to highlight any particular choice on the menu, everything looked good, but can recommend the haddock kedgeree risotto, the prawn linguine and the spaghetti carbonara because we thoroughly enjoyed them.

We stayed here over the weekend whilst visiting Nottingham and dined in the restaurant both for an evening meal and breakfast. The standard of food and service was fantastic and really good value for money. The breakfast must be the best in Nottingham.

On wednesday 5th November myself and 3 work colleagues had our evening meal here as we were working locally and stayed overnight. Kathleen my very good friend who I had worked with 10 years previously and who i had not met during this time stays here every week due to her job and as she knows the Chef Liam she organised a surprise birthday cake with sparklers as it was my birthday that day , all I can say is wow! Not only was my evening meal outstanding I also was seranaded by the whole restaurant singing and it was so very kind of everyone, Liam you are a star! The service was outstanding with a special mention to Jodie a lovely girl who smiled the whole time and kept checking that our meal was ok, Jodie you are very kind and i hope you do well. Would I return again, absolutely yes, customer service is key and this restaurant has it down to perfection. The Manager here should be very proud of his team as he was also working that evening ensuring everyone in the restaurant were happy with meals.

We visited last night with family after a swimming competition. Sometimes, with a vegetarian swimmer, menu choices can be difficult in a hotel restaurant, but the pasta dish was perfect and declared delicious. One of us had the trio of local sausages and mash which was superb. The halloumi burger was declared the best ever eaten (and that’s lot!) Service was excellent and the atmosphere was calm and friendly. Our enquiry regarding the award winning sausages was dealt with most helpfully. Thank you very much, a lovely evening.

The food was excellent. I had the salami pizza and would definitely recommend! The dessert (cheesecake) was also fantastic. The waiting staff are very helpful, friendly and professional. The chap even managed to find out from the chef where I could get some of the award winning sausages!

Stayed over the weekend and was very impressed. My friend and I had the risotto which was lovely. We then shared a cheeseboard. The head chef brought it out to us which was brilliant. Didn’t realise Britain was so good at cheese! Thanks Liam! As promised my review! Will be back next year!

Food here is of excellent quality and staff are always attentive without being intrusive, nothing is too much trouble. Make sure to check out the daily chef specials too!

I don't normally leave reviews, but I dinned here last week with a work colleague and i have to say the food is fantastic. I had that day's special which was "Kathleen's balmoral chicken in a whiskey sauce" (Which I think was made at a guests request) and it was amazing. Staff were so friendly and made us feel so welcome. I will definitely be dining here again.

WE have never had a meal here before because we thought selection was not good and expensive. Actually dined here on two evenings and we found menu selection adequate and prices were what we expected in this venue.

I regularly stay in this hotel and it really is fantastic. Liam the head chef creates an imaginative specials menu, especially the curries which he makes from scratch. The food is well cooked and nicely presented. Another special mention goes to Jodie; she is a delightful young lady who completely understands 'customer care'. Both are a credit to this restaurant.

Used this place whilst staying in the Holiday Inn Castle Marina loads of times over the last few months.

Whilst using the car charger myself and my daughter decided to relax in the hotel and enjoy a meal, we both had a roast dinner and we both thoroughly enjoyed it! The food was delicious, the service was great and all of the staff are lovely. Hands down the best roast dinner I’ve had in Nottingham!! And I’m from Nottingham! Would 100% come back just to use the restaurant without a doubt.

I spend a lot of time at this hotel, but don’t visit the rest very often. However this week I decided to eat there on several evenings and I have to say the food was great and the service even better! Thank you to all that looked after me!

Truly delicious & mouth watering crispy beef salad with tantalising flavours followed by great sticky toffee pudding which was light and flavoursome.

Fantastic service and great food! I had the pork belly and it was delicious, best pork belly I’ve ever had. Hats off to the chefs in this place!! I asked the waitress the name of the chef who cooked it so extra praise to the sous chef Pav for the tasty food and lovely experience.

Visited the restaurant recently over the course of 4 nights. Food is absolutely fantastic. Delicious menu and excellent service. Would recommend to anyone staying or even living in Nottingham.

As a regular guest at the Holiday Inn Castle Marina I use the bar and restaurant a lot.

This is my second week of staying here on business and it would be fair to say, the food this week is far superior than last. Apparently the Head Chef is back and it shows. In addition, the restaurant staff are lovely, polite and friendly.

Chicken and mushroom pie excellent, service good as always,staff friendly and welcoming, would defiantly recommend a visit.

Great food, the menu is imaginative and different, well worth a visit, I will stay at the holiday inn because of the food, not forgetting the staff that look after you. Chef Liam is a credit to the restaurant with his ideas and menu options.

Me and the Mrs found this hidden gem on a random night out last Saturday, we went in on a whim. First of all the staff made us feel really welcome, we both had the soup which was good but the mains blew us away, Best Rib Eye Iv ever eaten and the Mrs said the Halloumi Burger was out of this world. The chef even had time to come out upon my Mrs’s Request, top bloke, top Reastaurant!! 10/10!!

Thoroughly enjoyed the experience and had some great choices for meals. The chef Liam came out also and greeted us and the staff were really welcoming and looked after our large party celebrating a 40th. Thanks again for making the evening special.

The food was delicious and looked amazing to the staff was so nice and friendly and so helpful Michael was so nice and very helpful and the girl I can't remember what her name was was so nice to she was doing roomservice but did come and check on us and help us decide on what to order overall great time and will be back just to have food again definitely

We recently had our Christmas lunch, 9 ladies, and this did not phase the staff at all. Food was excellent, wine was excellent and service impeccable as always. We are not an easy lot to cater for ......

Cannot praise enough the wonderful reception on arrival. Martin at the front desk was exactly what we needed after a long evening of travelling: efficient, friendly and welcoming. The room was clean, and the TV screen size was a great surprise! Kids equated it to the cinema when the lights were off. However, breakfast was the highlight of the stay. We had to leave early for a tournament and the restaurant kindly accommodated us by seating us early. As a vegan and gluten free family, we were worried about what might be on offer, but we need not have worried as we had more than we could imagine, and the kids could not get enough of the vegan sausages!

would like to say my recent visit was fantastic and great value for money. i had a 3 course meal for 19.95 and the service was second to none. A top shout must gone to the waitress Jodie who was fantastic from start to finish, nothing is too much trouble and always with a smile. would rate this place for all.

As I was staying at the hotel I thought I would try out the restaurant at least one night. The food is superb. Lovely fish dish and the next night game pie.

Restaurants in hotels are not normally very good but this is an exception with a unique menu, it states that all ingredients are locally sourced. We went for some steaks and they were sublime, cooked to perfection. We will definitely be coming back when we are next in Nottingham.

Had fish and chips first night, fish was really lovely and the batter was very light and tasty. Second night had sirloin steak, medium rare. Chef made me a Diane sauce and it was absolutely delicious, steak cooked perfectly.

We held our daughters Christening in Eaton’s, we had the private room at the back of the restaurant which opens onto the terrace area. We can't thank the staff enough for making our special day so enjoyable, upon enquiry the staff were accommodating, nothing was too much trouble, they even decorated the room and tables for us.

This is the second time I have eaten here and I have to say the food is amazing. Great new menu, had the salmon which was presented beautifully and tasted even better! The service was excellent too. Will definitely be returning, highly recommend!

I have been staying at the Holiday Inn here for over 5 years on and off and have always found all the staff to be friendly and helpful.

Much improved from my last visit freshly cooked food and a change of menu. Restaurant was quiet as we eat quite late so a few things were not available but didn’t ruin anyone’s dinner

Eat here regularly when staying in Nottingham for business. Food is always excellent with the fixed price menu particularly good vfm. The staff are friendly and attentive without fail. Highly recommended from me.
