Delicious Pita and very large portion!

I used to be a big fan of this—I had previously left a 5* review—but on my latest visit it seemed things have changed. Some of the salads and toppings have disappeared; the boxes have become much smaller (almost half the height of what they had before!); you get fewer falafels for the same price; and they don't stuff the boxes as much as they used to (they were bursting before!). It was never cheap, but at least you got a lot of food in return. Now, it's expensive and the portion size is below average. I'm sad to say I don't think I'll be returning soon.

I eat here very regularly and would normally give 5 stars but you’ve recently started adding in all sorts of beans which for me totally ruin the box meal. Your original mix was amazing and I would vote for a return to that.

Eat a pitta is one of Bistols best known food places and I definitely understand why. The food is so fresh and delicious

Outstanding! A great little stall in St. Nicks market, super fresh & vibrant display of salad, hummus & veg. The server was super friendly and chatty. They gave me recommendations which made my choice easier! Opted for the Aubergine Falafel regular box which was filled with a bit of everything, a very generous portion and great price. I added a pitta on the side which was served fresh & warm! All under a tenner. Will definitely go again when I'm next in Bristol!

The BEST falafels and salad place by far! It’s incredible and after I eat their food, I feel very clean.

I’ve reviewed their kiosk before and gave 5 stars. The food is still very tasty and the staff are friendly, the only thing missing on this visit was value for money. Unfortunately the portion size has become a lot smaller but the price has gone up.

Extremely good pitta's located in a cosy food market.

Salads looked good but server overfilled my bowl to a ridiculous extent and doused it so heavily with hummus that when the lid went on it was squished into a horrible-looking and unappetising mess. Could have been good- don’t get a bowl, I think.

This is their setup everything is fresh and live. They have options for a falafel box where you get fresh salad, hummus, falafel and chilly. I ordered the pita bread loaded with fresh salad, bell pepper, hummus, green chilli, and falafel balls. It is so overloaded that it's fun to eat this covering your whole mouth with it. Delicious with a zing of spice with the green chilli. Price - £7.95

Brilliant place! Looked so tempting in passing decided I would take a leap and ask about options for gluten free. Was immediately asked if coeliac (yes!) and told what they offer. When served they replaced gloves, got new bowls and everything was gotten separately out the back! Really brilliant service and steps taken to avoid cross-contamination. Food was 10/10 too!

The falafel are perfectly crisp and golden brown, their centers are light and tender, the hummus is thick and creamy. The bowls are super tasty.

How disappointing, used to eat here lots but haven’t been lately. So the opportunity arose today 😃. Ordered a regular pitta with aubergine. Remember the days the falafel was the star of the pitta, used to be packed with 6 falafels & sometimes an extra 2 chucked on top! No such luck today, a small scrape of hummus, only three falafels, packed with a large spoonful of grated carrot (enough to make a carrot cake) & filled up with other veg. It was dry, uninteresting & thoroughly boring & very CARROTY. Don’t understand how something so delicious could be turned into something mediocre & mundane. Don’t think I’ll be returning anytime soon ☹️

The most amazing falafel and salad! Generous helpings of everything from our lovely friendly server. Queue was huge but staff were super organised and we didn’t wait long. Excellent value for money, we are stuffed and happy!

There are many firsts in my life that I will never forget; the first time I caught a glimpse of my wife on our wedding day, the first time I held our daughter… and the first time I visited Eat a Pitta. Bloomin’ lovely food, served up by smiling, friendly, lovely people. I would hate to play a single one of them at Jenga, as their ability to pile mountains of fillings into a humble pitta bread is akin to the precision of the architectural and engineering prowess that gave us the New York City skyline.

to day I came down with my friends and got a felafal and I really enjoyed it and I would give it 10 out of 10 and I would give it 10 stars ⭐️ ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️and I would come back here again

The staff here are amazing - under pressure at busy lunch times they are still as friendly and helpful as ever. They are a credit to the company and I'm grateful for them every time I visit. The food is consistently fantastic.

Portions are generous, falafel tasty, salad selection very good.

Delicious wholemeal pitta bread stuffed with halloumi cheese, falafels and 2 salads of your choice. Hummus base and dressings were good too. Friendly helpful service. The rhubarb soft drink goes well with food. They have recycling point. Great surroundings amongst picturesque and busy St Nicholas Market. P. S. Only negative point is that pitta bread is so stuffed with ingredients it's not easy to eat. A suggestion is to make smaller pitta breads so you can eat two small ones instead of one larger one.

Simply incredible. Delicious, fresh, budget, healthy, sustainable… such a good concept that it should be exported outside Bristol frontiers. There are different menus suiting different needs. You’ll find yours for sure!

The salad is generous and tasty but the falafel is not (and often not hot/fresh) - I've tried numerous times and all I can say is it's adequate compared to other falafel places I've eaten. Better options in St Nicks, but if you want healthy/veggies it'll do.

I've had lunch from here many, many time. The best, freshest, tastiest healthy, filling food. The best falafel I can find anywhere around. Everyone should eat like this every day !

As a Lebanese person I can say this is really good falafel. The hummus is excellent, try all the salad too. Everything but the Tzatziki is vegan!

great experience to try all of the different variety's of food. Although I'm not a huge fun of salads it still looked very vibrant and the taste was still great quality. And I definitely recommend trying all of the different foods there.

Best falafel place I've been to in the UK

It was somewhat hard to have a look at the menu beforehand when there was already a person taking our orders during the queue. Would be helpful if you look at the menu online. But, I would definitely say that this place is worth your money! Food is amazing and proportions is a good amount. Will visit again.

Good vegetarian food in the beautiful st Nicholas market. The falafels are good, crunch on outside soft inside with a good flavour. The salad selection is good and also good on flavour. The falafel bowl is good mix of everything includes salad humus and falafel.

Consistently great, fresh falafels. Superb lunch option for all people, including vegans. Their hummus is fantastic, and so are the falafels. A clean healthy meal to eat on the go or take it home.

Falafel in a wrap or box, huge array of salads, sauces and pickles. Delicious! Easy simple menu too for a decent price. Service is always really quick. You'll get the odd day where theres a queue but they're so organised you won't have to wait long. The staff are super friendly too, especially the manager who greets every single person with a smile and manners. Let's be honest - its tiring having to do that all day! 10/10 would reccomend.

I've had many a falafel, in many countries... and hands down this is the best I've ever tasted. Salads to die for, like eating the rainbow. Lovely friendly staff. Couldn't recommend highly enough.

Best street food I've had in Bristol!. Popped past here during the Bristol Motorbike Show and plumped for a falafel wrap. The server was really friendly and enthusiastic and the portions were generous as you can see, with at least 4-5 falafels mixed into the various delicious salads. I went for a bit of everything salad wise and asked for recommendations on the sauces, I always like to try what the servers think are the best combinations. Can recommend this stall highly enough for the food and having written this review am now starving. Definitely eating here when next in town.

Beautiful small covered market with good looking hipster-like food stalls, friendly people and good food. The staff is very friendly and the options to choose from to stuff your pita is big. They add quite a lot of falafel inside and the taste is really good. I recommend this place!

Fresh, healthy and delicious food. A great on the go lunch if you need one. Prices are on the mid range I would say but I feel it is better value for money than some other alternatives like meal deal or pret sandwiches etc.

Hands down this is our family's favourite place to go for getting excellent quality, healthy and well portioned falafel / houmous salad based meal with/without pitta.

Superb vegetarian food stall in market. Reasonable price. Stomach fill for four pounds.

I vote this to be the best falafel in Bristol. If you want to avoid queues, get there before 12. If you're new, make sure you try a free sample offered on the right side of the stand. This is a great healthy food option to grab and sit I nearby Castle Park.

If you're a fan of falafel or just vegetarian then this place is definitely worth a visit, the staff seem to enjoy their job which is always great to see and the quality of the food is amazing

The falafel, hummus and salads are great. I’m very serious about my hummus and falafel and these are the best I’ve found in Bristol. I am however baffled that you charge extra for pickles... you would never ever find that in any country where falafel is native, it’s unthinkable honestly and people would revolt. It’s literally always complimentary. Maybe think about that because expecting people to pay extra for something for something that is so cheap to produce is taking the mickey

Im a huge humous lover, i had the humous in a bowl and wow! The best ive ever had! Everything it comes with is made to perfection and has made my trip to bristol that much better. My girlfriend who actually doesnt like humous loved it so well done guys you have comverted a hater 😂
