Person answering the phone was rude AF. Call lasted 2 minutes and he said he had to go because he had other calls to answer. That’s my problem how? Tosspot!

Went here for the 1st time really won't bother again . Chicken you couldn't bite it was that hard and tasteless. Chips I think had been fried at least twice or fryed to warm it up . Wife ordered chicken fried rice got rice . Hope other have a better meal than use

Joint best Chinese in Plymouth (equal to the superb Asian Box in Plympton). The veg is all fresh, service is quick and unlike Asian Box you can be served quite quickly even on a Friday night. So glad I found them now I live in Budeaux area!

Ordered at 6.40pm was to 1&half hours for delivery so thought OK. Waited 2 hrs then rang them was told sorry been busy driver on his way will bec15 mins which means they havent even cooked my order yet!! Waited 30 mins STILL no order rang again was told very sorry but been busy but driver had left. It arrived & was still very hot which indeed meant it was cooked well after original delivery time!! Unfortunately for them this was a dry run for my business as we do use takeaways for food at times & their spicy box is well known.

This takeaway is easily the best in Plymouth. The salt and spicy box is the best you will ever have. So much comes in the box and is cheaper than other Chinese takeaways. We prefer to get from here 100% of the time. The staff are great at communicating if your food may be late (the delivery has only been late once and we get food here at least once a week for the last couple of months) I have recommended Eastern Sunrise to everyone I know. You will not be disappointed!

Had several meals from this place now, great portions and good quality fresh ingredients and competitive prices. Not had a bad meal yet and I’m super fussy so I would highly recommend this place. Chow Mein, satay , sweet n sour balls , beef n mushroom , all amazing as is salt n pepper chicken with proper chillis, the pancake roll is amazing you get two and they are huge.

Tried this place a few times now and every meal has been perfect. The quality is always consistent and the portions are very good. Amazing tasty food , pancake rolls are awesome you get two well filled rolls, salt and pepper chicken with fresh chillis , beef chow mien is very authentic and as is the beef with mushroom. Loads of flavour and meat and a good balance of veg. Good portion of chicken balls too, nice and crispy no grease and same goes for the chips. All in all very pleased with this place! Would definitely recommend and I’m very fussy when it come a to a good Chinese takeout but the quality here shines through

Omg. Best Chinese in Plymouth. Used to go to another Chinese but found the last few omelettes have been Very salty, very greasy chicken balls and prices have gone up a lot. Omelettes from Eastern sunrise are huge with great size portion of chips. Had salty and chilli box. What a bargain and it doesnt lie when it says chilli. Great chicken balls no grease at all. Also curry sauce pots you can re heat.

Counter staff very friendly and helpful my food was very tasty but wife said hers salty. Will return for another meal. Thank you.

Best Chinese takeaway of my life! I was brought up close by, so this was always our Chinese takeaway. My memories of it were fond, but about 15 years later, we tried it again for old time's sake. Astounding. Super fresh and crispy pancake rolls, colossal portion sizes (the Singapore rice and special satay could feed two). The sweet and sour sauce was perfect, hot and tangy. The satay, spicy and huge. The foo young, huge. We had two portions of pineapple fritters... and my eyes were rolling. So rich, so delicious. The amount of golden syrup and the freshness was insane. We got the pineapple chicken too which was great. Oh, and we also had the mixed starter! Thick prawn toast and super fresh, ribs, all of it was on point. And to top it all off, free prawn crackers and fortune cookies like always. And free(!) spring rolls because we knew them. The is the BEST Chinese takeaway you're eating, and a true hidden gem.

Our order came promptly, the portions were really large and tasted very nice. We were also given prawn crackers n fortune cookies free of charge. We will definitely be visiting again.

Terrible service ordered food was told 30 to 45 mins happy with that even an hour wait ain't a problem rings up after an hour 15 mins told foods with delivery driver 20 mins later rings up again this time told foods going out with next driver what a shame cos this use to be a weekly family Chinese of £50 plus order every time the new women on the phone is rude and has a problem listening I wouldn't order from there again after being a loyal customer for years

Been coming here for years. Great staff and the food has always been great, Delivery has always been on time and is always hot.

Used to order from here all the time was the best Chinese but since the new management has taken over we have had to phone back up 2-3 times because they forgot stuff or they got the order wrong I did try and phone up but they refused all refunds I strongly recommend trying a different Chinese before you try this one the only good thing was how nice the delivery driver was and how sorry he was that this keeps happening,

just received my order from Eastern Sunrise and it was stone cold i phoned up and explained to them to see if they could replace the order, the woman on the phone passed me over to the owner a woman who would not listen to what i had to say and did not believe that the order was cold. she would not refund us or change the meal because we could not get it all back into the containers.I would not recommend this place to anyone and it is the last time they will ever get an order from me

I have been using this Chinese for years and it's definitely my favourite, the best in Plymouth in my opinion. Whenever they're shut and we've gone elsewhere we are always disappointed in comparison. The food from Eastern Sunrise is always stunning, always hot on arrival, delivery within the hour and outstanding customer service. The prices are very reasonable, plus we always receive free prawn crackers and have never had a bad experience with food, the delivery or customer service. The counter ladies are always polite and helpful recommending new dishes, the delivery driver has even picked up some milk and dropped it off with the Chinese when I once cheekily ask if he would do so, what more can you ask for? Highly recommend this friendly business.
