Eastern Revive in Warrington

Terrible atmosphere, layout, and most of all, food + very expensive. Very bland food, cramped layout & decor is a facade (whitewash over brick). Completely pretentiouse.

The food still really quite impressive and booked a table albeit at a peak time. The only problem for all for if us was the noise - incredibly loud environment made worse by the sparse wall & floor decor. Genuinely an unpleasant place to eat...

Brilliant restaurant where the kitchen manager obviously takes great pride in presentation and well prepared and cooked food. - Staff always on hand with out being too fussy. One of the best without doubt. !!

We are not from the area and called in here to be greeted with incredibly friendly staff. We had not made a booking but they were able to fit us in despite it being a busy Saturday night. The food was delicious. The restaurant is well decorated and the staff are all very welcoming. Very happy we made the decision to eat there. Highly recommended.

Had a meal here in mid March - one of the tastiest currys we have had in many years. In complete contrast to the previous review for the Delhi Kitchen in Croydon each dish was well spiced with it's own tastes different from the other dishes.

I was staying locally and this place was recommended to me by a friend. Having read reviews of similar establishments locally we decided to give this one a go.

Went out for drinks and food with friends. One of our group recommended this restaurant. It was a Monday night so yes it was quiet so we were seated with no problems. We all got a banquet meal and I can say that the food was fantastic. We had popadoms to start, plenty of added extras and no problem when we asked for a couple more chutneys. The starter and mains were fantastic and filling. The beer was good. Yes a little bit more pricey than some Indian restaurants but as the quality of the food was second to none we didn’t mind. The staff were friendly and polite and didn’t rush us to finish. If you enjoy a curry then it’s worth a try.

visited on a Sat night early on after a few beers place was busy., always is TBH. Food was very good as ever and the apmosphere is friendly and relaxed. Steff were very friendly and helpful visit quite regulary and the food and service is always very good best curry around this area

Top drawer meal, super tasty and plenty of it. Take advantage of the banquet menu but maybe think about 1 main between 2. Very friendly staff. Only downside was the seating layout, the group on the next table being loud but right behind me and my wife. However I guess the restaurant can't be blamed for inconsiderate diners.

On recommendation my husband booked a table for 2 downstairs for Saturday evening. One of our friends decided to tag along last minute. On arrival Manique was more than welcoming, unfortunately his colleague was less accommodating and made his irritation that there was now 3 of us apparent. A young waiter took control and took us upstairs to a not too pleasant table, but because of the attitude of the staff downstairs we accepted.

You are in for a treat eating here. The quality of the food is consistently good. It’s a bit pricey and that’s why it’s more of a payday occasion for us.

The service and food here are faultless every time. By far the best Indian restaurant in Warrington, and one of the best I’ve ever visited. We visit regularly and will be back again soon.

Ate here with friends and had a very good meal. Menu is pretty extensive with a good range of specials. Fish tikka started was really good as was lamb and lentil main. Friends all enjoyed their meals. Side dishes and rice and breads were all top class. Would not choose to eat Indian food anywhere else in Warrington due to the consistent quality I have always had here.

We tried this restaurant on the strength of a friends recommendation. We were seated quickly but the first thing that struck us is just how noisy it is. I can only suspect it’s the number and layout of tables as I could not hear myself think. This didn’t used to be the case when the restaurant was a Chinese but the design and number of tables has changed. It took a good while to get a drink and even longer to put an order in but in fairness it was very busy. We only had one drink as we were never asked again.

3 out of 6 of us were celebrating birthday milestones. Staff were friendly and welcoming, busy restaurant, we were seated downstairs but there was seating upstairs as well. We ordered way too much food, all had starters and poppadoms with chutney tray, then all ordered mains, sides, rices and naan breads but it was way too much. The portions weren't small, just needed to order less in the future. The service and atmosphere was good and the food was very tasty. Would definitely re-visit.

This is by far the best place for Indian food in Warrington. So good im writing a second review as I eat. It's exceptional. The food and service is bang on. Some reviews below moaning about a bill split. Get a grip yourselves and sort your own bill out your not children. Try it you won't be disappointed. Well done

Went here for family birthday celebration. Food was very good no complaints...but they could not understand why people would want to pay separately? For example there were 20 in the group consisting of 8 couples some with children. So each couple asked for separate bill. This is usually no problem as other restaurants give each couple a number and they pay their own bill. The people here did not seem to grasp this and wanted to give one bill and everyone to decide how much their own bill should be? This is poor service!

Eastern revive Stockton Heath is just okay and hardly revives a traditional taste of India whilst trying to accommodate the western taste buds and exploiting what was delivered as below average food. Our business annual gathering held at this local restaurant which seemed like a good idea at the time, situated in the busy ever popular Stockton Heath. Personally I found the food lacking in flavor, texture and quality served with haste by overzealous staff .. enough said however folks customer service is not one of their strong points! From a financial perspective £££ not recommended . As they say you pay’s your money and you take your chance. There are better options available if you are dining out in Stockton Heath.. So! Recommended that’s a nope

8 of us had a table at 8pm, the restaurant was busy as expected on a Saturday night but it took until 9:30pm for our food to arrive which was a shame as the food was good and there was plenty of it.

Had the tandoori mixed grill from here and washed it down with a bottle of Chablis between the two of us.

This was a bit of father & son time, about 6pm on a Saturday. Took a chance and didn’t book, whilst there weren’t many in they had a full reservations book, but they squeezed us in. Modern and stylish restaurant, ground and first floor, not huge but very very well presented. Great service and whilst the menu is a traditional Indian one, the food was excellent! Chicken madras and a chicken chilli tikka massala.... hot but not too hot, will definitely go again (wish the wife liked Indian food!!), highly recommend this place.

Went to Eastern Revive with a colleague while in area on business. Great town centre area in Stockton Heath. Lots of restaurants and shops. The Eastern Revive was recommended by friends.

visited here with another couple for some Sat night dinner. place is nice inside, service is very good too. Food was ereally tasty and not actually that expensive. it was my first time here as my girlfirend lives in Stockton Heath. I would definitely reccomenrd it and I will be returning in the future

Was staying in Warrington and looking for somewhere for a bite to eat. Stockton Heath was the nearest village to the hotel and we found this gem.

ate here a few times now and cant complain about anything. its so clean and bright. food is just wonderful and the staff are so helpful and polite. this is a must try for Indian food

I've eaten here several times, trying something different each time. I've never been disappointed. The food is always well cooked and well presented, the service is very good. It can be a little frenetic on a Saturday night, but the staff cope very well. Very highly recommended.

Based on having bought several takeaways which were good quality, we decided to go for a meal to the restaurant with friends. It was a Saturday evening and despite having booked in advance and then checking that the booking had been accepted (as we had received no confirmation), when we arrived just after 8.30, we were told no booking had been made. However, a table was made available. Once we were seated the waiter tried to hurry us in taking our order, which having made, we were then told our starters would be served immediately. The food for both our starters and mains were good and when we had finished we ordered some more drinks which were brought to the table. Shortly after the waiter brought the bill, which we had not asked for, as we were still drinking ( this was at approximately 10.15). As he brought it to the table he realised that we had not been offered desserts or coffee. We ordered two coffees, but said that my husband who had gone to the toilet may want to order one on his return . The waiter took the bill away and returned with the two coffees. He promptly told us that we could not order the coffee for my husband as the bar was now closed! He and another waiter then started putting the chairs up on the tables surrounding us and brushing the floors. After that they sat leaning on the nearby tables generally looking bored and using their mobile phones. We felt all this was done to make us hurry up and leave as we were the only customers remaining. We left the restaurant at approximately 10.45 pm.

I booked this place for my birthday with my sister - never been before but it looked impressive- it was !

We had a meal with friends, we ordered a banquet for 3 people. The dish came in perfect portioning, well presented and its taste so good! (My friends has to order take-away same dish we eat I can't remember the name it was on specials lamb and chicken curry lol) we got to choose 2 dish for mains The staff were kind and so friendly. Defo coming back again and would highly recommend it. X

Over £21 for a takeaway consisting of a Vegetarian Jalfrezi, Mushroom Pilau Rice and a Kulcha Nan. Rather expensive I think.

I think this restaurant has got complacent. We used to visit regularly for both take away and a nice night out (and previously for many years in Wilmslow).

We were enjoying a farewell dinner as all moving house and out of the area. Food and service were exceptional !!

Despite some other reviews, in my opinion this is not the best Indian in Stockton Heath. Indish was the best but is currently closed for renovations and it remains to be seen whether it will be as good under new ownership. Cardamom is definitely a close second with the Eastern Review in third place. Definition of ‘best’ includes quality of dishes combined with service and price.

Called in for a father son catch-up last week. May I say we both thoroughly enjoyed our visit. Food and service were both excellent. Very welcoming with an authentic Indian menu. A league above the typical Indian restaurant.

Busy night good atmosphere welcoming staff. Sat at the very back on high seats . Lighting is very bright not a romantic atmosphere! More family atmosphere. Well stocked bar and good bar service. Food served quickly overall service very good. Tried different dishes from menu from Specials a mint chicken dish and a Darjeeling chicken which was la sweet and sour flavour. Large nan breads little dry but ok and mixed tandoori starter was good . Enjoyed the food very much .

Brilliant food, service and atmosphere,visited many times including Christmas dinner and celebrating special occasions

In need of a curry we decided to try this out. A great idea. Service is first class, attentive and speedy. Food is excellent and the portions are enormous. We are now regulars.

I was taken to this restaurant by an Indian friend who lives nearby. I trust her judgement where good Indian food is concerned and she didn't let me down. We had king prawn puri and chilli seek kebab starters, which were beautifully prepared and presented - delicious. We followed with lamb jaflong massala and an off menu chicken dish made with pickles, which the chef prepared especially to order. Both were awesome. The quality of the food is great at this restaurant and the flavours are concentrated and powerful. I'm really looking forward to trying out other dishes soon.

We went out for a meal in Stockton Heath to our go to place if we we fancy a curry . We've been several times as a family but my brother / sister go here a lot as its on their doorstep.

What a gem. I would go as far to say one of the best I've tried definitely. I had the special mixed grill and it was devine. Meat was cooked to perfection accompanied by a lovely side salad of tomatoes and olives. The best in Warrington? I would say so. Give it a try.

Six of us arrived for a curry in the evening, we'd pre-booked a table and were shown to the that straight away. It was a very warm evening and the front of the restaurant was wide open which was great.

Smashes my high expectations. Always amazing. The Revive Jalfrezi is full of heat and flavour. The staff are very friendly and helpful

Our first meal at eastern revive and we will be returning. The food and service were excellent and good value for money. We were given a table upstairs which is used for larger parties and next time, we will be looking to be seated downstairs. Some of the decor and fittings (crockery etc) are basic but the first was the best Indian we have had for some time. Highly recommended.

This is a regular and my favourite restaurant in the village. Lots of choice on the menu, food always delicious and very tasty, staff always very efficient and friendly and it’s very good value. Can get really busy so advise booking in advance at busy times as not to be disappointed!

Visited this restaurant for the first time last Saturday. I did pre phone to explain I have a sensitive stomach & have to be very cautious .with Indian . gentleman on the phone couldn’t have been nicer offered to cook me some plain prawns himself .

Excellent food ..... starter all dine fresh . Main dishes were delicious . Service was also excellent. Not bad for chancing getting a table on the last minute 🍽🍽

Visited Eastern Revive last night in a group of 10 for a celebration, I was a bit apprehensive as I’ve never been here before and since having an accident 12 months ago I am now confined to a wheelchair which makes going out a bit more difficult. We rang the restaurant twice before our booking to check the access and was told if the table was upstairs there is no access for me however because we were downstairs everywhere was accessible. We arrived early, waited a while for our table (booked for 8pm but wasn’t seated until 8.15ish) which wasn’t an issue. I asked where the toilets were before we ordered food etc and was told there was not a ‘disabled’ toilet but I would be fine in the ‘normal’ facilities. Luckily my partner was there to help we went into the ladies and I attempted to get into a cubicle but as I had already predicted when I realised there was no accessible toilet I could not fit in. I was absolutely mortified. We had to try and block the door so people could not get in whilst my partner picked me up to get me in the cubicle (if he hadn’t of been there I would of just had to leave). I spent the rest of the evening feeling uneasy but since we were in company of friends (not very close) I couldn’t really explain what the issue was. That said the food was lovely and the service was prompt. But for the reasons I’ve given regarding accessibility I would not recommend this restaurant for wheelchair, disabled, or people with babies as there seems to be no baby changing facilities either.

We eat here regularly. Can not fault the food the staff or the restaurant as a whole. The food is consistently good...the best onion Bhajis and the staff always interested and happy to advise and help . We like the tandoori grilled food and this time we were recommended to try a roghan josh sauce alongside . Worked really well and was delicious. We wouldn’t have thought of it ourselves . Can’t really say anymore ...definitely a great restaurant

I have visited on several occasions now and the food is consistently good, the flavours are fresh and food is well spiced. There is a good choice of dishes, some standard curries and other more unusual dishes. The staff are helpful and friendly and the service is good. The paneer dishes are delicious and there is a good choice for vegetarians.

We had another superb evening here at this restaurant. Seating is very pleasant with nice layout. All the food was excellent - starter dishes and main courses alike. Service was top drawer as usual and the drinks were nice and well presented as well. All in all - very good.

My family and I went out for a spontaneous meal and upon arrival it was a warm welcome. It was very busy but we were never left unattended. The staff were very friendly and accommodating. The food exceeded expectations, and we weren’t disappointed. We will definitely be returning soon.

Decided to visit not planned. Luckily got a table for two. We only ordered mains and we were not disappointed. The interior was ultra modern. It was bright and airy, totaly different from the usual indian experience. A great surprise. Staff very friendly. We did not experience the wine menu as we were not drinking. We both had soft drinks. The staff had extensive menu knowledge which is useful if you are not used to indian cuisine. The food was lovely. The fish was lovely and so was the chicken. The waiter brought us extra dips to accompany the fish. The salad which accompanied the dishes was so fresh especially with the olives. I would definitely visit again but I would book next time.

This was a meal of contrasts. We shared the Garlic Chilli chops as a starter which were absolutely gorgeous as usual. We then ordered (to share again) Eastern Revive Jalfrezi and spicy chicken Tikka Biryani. The jalfrezi was amazing, such depth of flavour and we had the lemon rice with it which was fragrant and a welcome change but the Biryani was really disappointing. It was like fried rice with a few (very few) cubes of cooked chicken thrown in at the end. I certainly won’t be having that again.

Been meaning to go for ages, decided to go in and try for a table on a busy Saturday night. The manager was very friendly and managed to find us a table. Excellent service and food. Staff were amazing, especially the manager. Decor is really nice. Very clean. Will definitely go again.

I have been to this restaurant now on a few occasions since moving to the area. It’s consistently the best curry I have ever had. All our friends who we have brought with us agree. Can’t recommend enough.

4 of us had a lovely booth downstairs. Great atmosphere tonight guys. Tried the fish narial ( I think that’s right) which was delicious. Will definitely have that again! That’s our last visit for this year but we’ll see you early next year and it’s my birthday at the end of January so we’ll be back then too.

Went for impromptu early tea at 6pm and got table easily other times it’s very busy.

6 of us were here for a Saturday evening meal. I don't think it's been open very long, it used to be a Chinese restaurant, but has been updated very nicely. Food was really good, everyone enjoyed it. Service was excellent, couldn't be faulted, and it was reasonably priced for the area which tends to be expensive. We had two courses and drinks for around 24£ per head. The only quibble was being seated in a booth, it felt very small for 6 adults, glad we were good friends. We didn't let that spoil it though!

Don't bother with other Indian restaurants in the village you will be wasting your money.

Visited with friends, celebrating a birthday. The waiter was extremely friendly and helpful, suggesting we ordered a half portion for the child who was in our party. The food was exquisite! We enjoyed poppadums and chutneys, starters, mains and sides. We didn’t manage to eat it all and the waiter was more than happy to bag up the leftovers for us to take. There was a birthday balloon on the table and after we finished our mains, a cake was served by singing waiters for the birthday boy. This was all arranged, complimentary by the restaurant – a fantastic touch that was very much appreciated. They do takeaway as well as a restaurant service. Definitely one to try!

6 of us dined at Eastern Revive on Saturday night, 2 visitors from London and 2 friends from Northwich. We had an amazing meal and even had some freebies to sample which are definitely going to be the next dishes I order when we go next.
