Eastern Restaurant & Takeaway in Rochdale

Food was good quality but unfortunately missing portion of chips from order - therefore 3 stars for collection experience

Liked there food, the only thing I haven't given 5stars because qeema paratha was a bit too salty.

Today I visited in Eastern restaurant its good place for gathering. Food was full with taste .must visit

I had to go to the delivery driver to get my food as he wouldn’t deliver to the hotel.

I have mixed feelings about Eastern because some of their food was fresh and tase was ok however other dishes were bland and many days old as if they had been microwaved. The next day I had a stomach ache which I'm sure you don't want all the details about that. Half the dishes on the tawah were clearly not made on the tawah. If you go to a good restaurant by the time you finish the starters the main dish will still be piping hot. There were a few good things which were the friendly service and atmosphere was clean. The food also arrived rather quickly which I didn't realise at the time but should've as that is not a good thing for a tawah. This restaurant used to be good however the chef has since decided to give up and become a lazy khanjar harami. All chefs that give their customers last years food deserve swearwords if not worse!

Great food is well worth the visit. We were on a stroll from whitworth. We called for something to eat. We had starter and mains. Very good service food was very well served . Delicious as well. I will be calling again for sure.

Very nice food and was ready fast .

We regularly order the Kobeda and Naan from here as it's definitely the best in Rochdale. Their range of tawas is also excellent. From the grilled options to the curries, I've never been disappointed with their food. Service was also very good, but it could be a little better. A good amount of seating and it's a perfect location for families. No Alcohol as well, which is always a plus for Muslim diners.

Absolutely shocking service food arrived at different times by time some food arrived others had finished. Staff member brought out chicken nuggets and chips which we didn’t order and when we refused she said it was on the house however they later charged for this and over charged every meal. Staff were condescending would never recommend this place.

Ordered a takeaway, Paid extra to have my curry mild. Looks like no one read the instructions, it was way too hot. Chicken wasn't fresh. All in all a bad experience. Curry's in the bin.

The karai ghost curry was extra spicy my kids didn’t even eat it and the meat was smelling I have tried the meat from eastern befir but all the food was not nice rice was uncooked and I asked for keema there was hardly nothing but boiled rice I would like a refund for the food please

Really delicious authentic food. They did forget to put in my starters but the delivery driver was super apologetic and given he was sat in horrendous traffic, I couldn’t complain to him. Would definitely order again.

Pretty disappointed tonight to be honest. We order pretty often and tonight had items missing and not the usual standard unfortunately. Will try one more time maybe to see if it improves.

Waiting time too lon too expensive the food wasn't worth it don't get me wrong I've paid £45 for 3 burger meals at another place but they were worth it not for me over rated

Beautiful food once again. My previous restaurant of choice was just OK, as I found that the majority of my orders were just swimming in Ghee. I have finally found food which is just how “them boys have it”, nobody wants the rice to be ever so fluffy and from these boys it isn’t. Best curry house in Rochdale, very reminiscent of the Tars in Burton. 5 Stars from me-cheers again them boys👍🏼👍🏼

This is only the 2nd week I have ordered food from the Eastern Restaurant and it is an absolute delight-wonderful, authentic Asian style cuisine, rather than the run of the mill take-aways-the food from here is next level!! It’s 5 Stars for everything and the only place where I will be buying my food from every weekend-superb👍🏼👍🏼👍🏼

i visited three times this place in last two weeks. The food was amazing, specially their Masala Fish, and pizza’s, And also reasonable and affordable price in rochdale. Best taste, best ambience, and best customer service. Also service was quick. We had our food in just 15 mins. I would recommend, must visit. and taste their masala fish and pizza’s. 🤤

Hi My experience with eastern restaurant food totally uncooked I m waste my money £57 pound with my friends ( one thing I see in kitchen area mousse and next day my friend had food poisoning now he is no well I complen health and safety and call Rochdale council please close this restaurant till they are complete health and safety I speak to with owner Mr Imran but he is ignoring my compline he younger brother Mr Irfan say I loying but I want to safe my local community life and health I leave here my brad experience with my lovely Muslim community and respect full English community also safe your life pay little bit extra eat food good place I give u 0 star and Allah see u also insha'Allah

Recommended by a friend, I placed my first order with this restaurant this evening, as I enjoy authentic Asian cuisine, rather than the run of the mill takeaway. The food is absolutely superb-great portion size and the Desi style that I enjoy so much! 10/10 from me, will be using all the time from now on👍🏼

It was a amazing experience. We have arrived with the family of 5 members and still couldn’t finish food it was yummy we had the tawa of 4 but still couldn’t finish our food but we took it home so it’s a plus point that you can take food with you

Absolutely disgusted. Used to love this place people used to be so nice. Today I went in and a delivery driver was trying to help because the shop was busy, he then accidentally dropped something and the man at the cashier in black shirt angrily shouted at him infront of anyone saying , "Are you blind you make my work harder than it is." The driver just stood there with a crying face. Felt so bad Will not be coming here again.

I recently tried their Desi breakfast, and once again, I was blown away by the quality and quantity of the food. Every dish was full of flavor, and the portions were more than generous. I also have to mention their Mango Lassi – it was the best I’ve ever had! Creamy, sweet, and so refreshing. Overall, the food was amazing, and they never disappoint.

Asked for mild curry as it shows they make fresh so can request spice and was to spicy to eat, don’t bother with the forreo Roche cake it was dry and old. Genuinely really disappointed £30 pretty much in the bin and apparently the donner meat tasted like the one you can buy in a bag from Iceland I wouldn’t know I didn’t wanna try anything else at this point

Awful and disappointing ! Defo Ateny not a clay oven !! Why are you even selling such disgusting food . You should be ashamed ! Everything arrived in one plastic bag. The Greek salad on top of hot food. Can you even call it a Greek sald ? The feta or whatever it was sat nowhere near any feta cheese, the cheapest and nastiest tomatoes, olives and lettuce - just FYI you do not add lettuce to a Greek salad !!! The chips were soggy and barely warm . Disgusting food !!!

Top end place.. actually gone into a food heaven. The food tasted fresh, flavourful and was quite enjoyable to eat. We got the prawn purees, chicken and biryani. Service was on point, quick service and checked on multiple times to make sure everything is ok. Will be returning soon. They have dinning as well which is clean and looked after. Highly recommended. Served by zain today he is a really fast and hard worked.. needs a raise

Came with the family and got a table straight away. The atmosphere is nice we ordered the Tawa for 6 must say it is massive compared to other restaurants. Service is a bit slow but overall everything was nice I would definitely recommend it. Slightly disappointed that coke Fanta etc are still being sold providing this is a Muslim establishment and with all that's going on in Palestine.

I ordered food for collection. After confirming it was the right order reached home and it was the wrong dish. They replaced with “on the bone” lamb which I had originally ordered. Cheap cuts of meat with all boneless pieces and the on the bone pieces were just covered in fat and cartilage. Cheap owners taking shortcuts and providing poor food and service. Initially I loved this restaurant but after a few bad experiences I will no longer use them.

The single worst Indian food I’ve ever eaten. Paneer had the texture of compressed sawdust. All the food was greasy and inedible, had to chuck the lot

Been trying different takeaways up here since moving here a year ago and this is the best takeaway I’ve had in Rochdale by far! I ordered an eastern grill platter in a tray and tried the mild sauce and mix sauce and it was perfect. The meat is done to perfection and so tender too the lamb chops are mouth watering and the presentation in the tray was great. I also ordered the meat samosas too and again the best samosa I think I’ve ever tried I really recommend this takeaway if anyone comes across this review and I can’t wait to order again and have decided for my birthday coming up shortly I’m going to be putting an order in for a big platter.

Went for iftar with family, ordered a platter, food and service was good.

Food was excellent and deserves 5*. Had to give 3* as not honest about delivery times. Gave 30 minutes but food arrived in 1 hour. 2 calls at 40 and 50 minutes and was told food was on the way, delivery address was 5 minutes away.
