I stayed a couple of nights for the occasion of a friends birthday and loved every minute and didn’t want to go home! The staff made me feel so special and looked after especially appreciated as I am disabled and they were fabulous especially Andrea, Amy, Janet and Owen 🙏🏻🤗🫶 They are having some exciting events coming up and I will be telling my friends and definitely be going again! It was my temporary piece of heaven ✨

We visited on the last Sunday of November to celebrate my husbands birthday. A party of 7 we were seated in the lovely conservatory overlooking the garden, beautiful 👍 We had 1 x Gluten Free Diner and 1 x Vegetarian and both felt well taken care of. The food was delicious, great value for money and we were lucky to get free desserts due to a promotion. The location is lovely and the staff were all so friendly and helpful. The cocktails were great too…. First time visit and loved it, we will be back

Lovely hotel, peaceful and quiet. Not far from Scarborough. Checked in a little early. Our room was on the 1st floor in the courtyard. Lovely room with all the facilities you would expect. The hotel offers a snug area, breakfast and bar area. Beautiful garden. Breakfast was cooked well and made to order. We enjoyed dinner here one evening which was the best evening meal we had while in East Ayton.

We stayed at the Lodge Hotel earlier in the year, and loved it. So today, as we were visiting family in the area, we returned for Sunday Lunch in their restaurant. It’s a set menu - choices from 4 starters, and then three roasts or vegetarian tart for mains, then a choice of desserts. The food is good, well presented, and decent portions - you certainly won’t go hungry at The Lodge. And the staff are delightful, nothing is too much trouble. If you haven’t eaten here, why not give it a try - I don’t think you’ll be disappointed. And it’s very well priced too 😊

A wide selection of breakfast items are served in the the restaurant, in either the main dining room or conservatory (we preferred the conservatory as it overlooks the large garden) and the evening menu, though small, has an adequate selection to choose from and all cooked and presented to perfection

ABSOLUTELY TERRIBLE FOOD, would have given no stars if that was an option. Stopped off for Sunday lunch and it's honestly the worst thing we ever did. The food was bland and tasted of nothing at all, save your money and eat elsewhwre!

The most amazing week. Jeanie made us all feel so welcome from the moment we walked in the door. The room was lovely the food amazing and the service second to none. Our holiday was made special by all the staff at the hotel and my daughter did not want to go home as she loved everyone in the hotel but especially Jeannie. Thank you for a lovely week.

Visited 'off the cuff' for lunch. Made very welcome. Had a great lunch in the well tended garden. It was very quiet, only another family and an elderly chap. The food was excellent. In fact my wife says the burger was the best that she's ever had. I had the mushroom stroganoff. It was great. Good service. Good price. Highly recommended, will be back!

If you want any kind of Christmas atmosphere, or indeed dinner..don’t come here. Any festive spirit quickly evaporated upon entry to the Lodge, with no warm welcome and no direction as to where we should be, the tone was set for the afternoon ahead. When I woke up in Christmas morning, little did I know I’d have my own radio station via my IPhone by lunchtime. The restaurant’s refusal to play any music drove me to become Christmas DJ for the whole room. The tables around us breathed a sigh of relief at the sound of Jingle Bells rather than the stoney silence of an already disgruntled room of customers. Unfortunately, that was the best part of the day... After an exceptionally long wait, an apparent accident with the salmon somehow resulted in no prawn cocktails being served on the table... because ours were given our ear where (despite being preordered). Those who took the substitute option of soup weren’t given any bread...until they had all finished their soup. At this point all we could do was laugh, especially when the bread came out with no butter. The main course came served with an iron fist labelled as a Yorkshire Pudding. My dentist shedding a tear as he heard the attempted bite from miles away. Many pieces of cutlery lost their lives trying to cut down the iron beast, but the Yorkshire boulders simply wouldn’t budge. Even if I had managed to chew and swallow those bad boys, I’d need the stomach acids of a bison to break them down. Even at that point, I could only imagine the morning after ablutions would have resulted in me given birth to the Kraken. A memorial service will be held for the knives and forks that lost their lives in the struggle, and no, it won’t be at the Lodge. After another lengthy spell the desert arrived, revealing itself to be an attempt at a cheesecake. Unfortunately it looked like something out of Art Attack, rendering me surprised it didn’t come with a sodden paint brush and selection of paints to choose from. And no, the taste didn’t make up for it. Oh and as for the tea and coffee that came as part of the package??...We didn’t even see a tea bag. The final inedible cherry on the cake came at the end when we raised our concerns with the manager. Instead of an apology we were questioned on the above as though we’d watched much too much of The Nightmare Before Christmas, and although we got a tiny discount as compensation, a very sour taste was left in the mouth..which was about the best thing I tasted all day on what turned out to be The Nightmare on Christmas Day.

Do not spend your hard earned money here. Made mistake of ordering fish and chips twice. But what I should have ordered was the classic which comes with curry sauce, peas. etc So my mistake. However when I went back to ask where the peas were, I didn't get a great welcome. Pea's are extra, So I had to pay £3 for two crappy tubs of peas. After spending £21 on fish and chips. THEY ARE THE WORST I'VE HAD IN A LONG TIME. Save your money.......

If you’re into modern country music this is the bar to go to in Scarborough! Went in early doors and it was country music all the way( ok there was a little bit of Irish folk in between but that’s almost country). Great to see a bar catching onto the fastest growing genre of music in the uk. Brilliant!

Called in for fish and chips to share - £10. Opened the box to find the fish in three pieces. Rancid oil taste to both fish and hard chips. Truly the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten.
