Eagle & Hind Pub in Chelmsford

Amazing staff and the food was great, we were met with smiles and were in no way dissapointed with our experience, i would 100% reccomend the pub to other people as a great place to meet, drink, eat and they are allways upto date with showing the latest sport.

Had a great evening on Christmas Eve. The disco was top notch. Have been here for other live music nights and always have a great time. Friendly crowd.

We turned up as a large group for our son’s birthday and the landlady asked a few locals to move so we could sit together. A very friendly pub with a lively family feel and Dog friendly which was a bonus for us.

Went with friends on Boxing Day, very friendly servers who go the extra mile to ensure a good night, friendly atmosphere, quick service and amazing food, would definitely recommend their stone baked pizzas!

The first I must say is, that the food was top notch. I had the most amazing time at the eagle and hind. The owner Charlie and her partner in crime Tom are the best people you could wish to run in to. If you’re lucky enough to have a drink at this pub, please please toast to the eagle and to the hind.

Went a few months back with a large group of friends. We were told the food would have a 10 minute delay which was more than fine (we joked that we'd expect at least a 10 min delay to prepare all our food!!).The food then arrived with a massive delay between each couple of meals. Two of my friends received their food. 20 minutes later (and after they'd finished), the next couple of meals came out. This continued for about 45mins -an hour.Myself and friend ordered the vegetarian dish. To our HORROR, she found a half eaten piece of chicken amongst her wilted salad. Shocked..we told the waitress who shrugged and said it wasn't her fault. I asked her to take the plate to the chef. The manager came out and instead of apologising for not only serving a veggie, MEAT...but half eaten meat at that; she just asked to see the plate (which was with the chef). After all of this, she only offered her a free drink in compensation?! NEVER RETURNING.

This popular pub does great value food. January karaoke was really entertaining, the locals are very welcoming and the customer service is more than expected. Support your local!

Really great local with lots of events and social activities.We love the quiz night on a Thursday and the burger and a pint deal!

This is my local pub and i'm often in here for a drink or 10. Drinks are very good value for money and one of the cheapest pubs in the area. Recently I've also been coming here with my family for meals at lunch time. I'm amazed with the standard of food they are able to offer so cheaply. Every dish I have ever had is tasty and a step above 'pub grub'. The menu has so much choice which is perfect as we have many fussy eaters and a vegetarian among the family, but with so much on offer even our fussy family find many things they would happily eat. The staff are also lovely and treat regulars as friends. I love coming here! Would highly recommend.

Such a friendly pub to take friends and family, it caters for all ages which is very good! Reasonable priced drinks, excellent food and service. Staff are very friendly and helpful. They also have quiz night which is always fun and different. I'd recommend this pup to anyone as like I said it caters for all ages!
