Dyserth Kebab & Fish Bar in Denbighshire

We moved to Dyserth in August last year. At first the portion sizes were good however the portion sizes have got smaller and smaller. You used to get a full portion of chips with the special Kebab however we ordered last weekend and we got literally 12 chips with the meal. Won't be ordering from here again.

Take away service is what we use and the food is lovely and worth a visit or to order for a takeaway

We were staying in the area and ordered four meals which were delivered on time. Three of us had fish & chip and one had a pizza. We all enjoyed the meals and found them reasonably priced.

Pizza was good chips where a bit greasy the lady who delivered it rang the bell and then proceeded to bang on the door which there was no need to do give people a chance to answer the door I found this really rude

Ordered chippy tea. The chips were like rubber and the sausage the same. The mushy peas were like water and tasted like dirty water. The fish was covered in almost raw batter and was swimming in fat. When you pushed the fish down it oozed with fat. Consequently everyone has upset stomachs today and feel unwell. I cannot believe this place is still trading. First and last time I’ll order from them. Spoke to colleagues about it and they all knew about this place and it’s poor reputation.

Ordered a large chicken kebab in shop which was ready in about 15-20 minutes. Massive portion, nice flavour, fresh salad, polite staff, clean waiting area. No complaints. Many thanks Benjamin

Just had a perfect Donner Kebab from here. Very impressed. Got served in a few minutes. Loads of meat, loads of salad and very tasty sauces. I'll definitely be back. Well done guys!

waited 2 hours for my food for it to arrive and once it did my special kebab was full of grease in the inside and out side of try the grease paper inside was all soggy and fell apart in the meat could not even remove paper as was just falling apart because of grease the fish i had was over cooked i rang the restaurant to be told i could have a refund or fresh asked for a fresh one with out paper and had to wait for another 30 mins will never use again not good service food was no good would even give it my dog and she eats anythingbut then my meal still took 30 mins asked to be refunded and refused me so now i have paid for food i have not eaten

Simply awful, ordered via just eat at 8.45 eta was 10 pm at 10.30 we rang to be told it had just left, at 10.45 it arrived..... then most went in the bin, the order was wrong, items missing, cold, soggy, by this time we was past the point so just gave up and threw it away, would never order from here again!!!

I’ve visited here a few times since lockdown lifted and have sampled pizza and kebab or what I would like to call Gyros. Food is always always good- chips really nice too and salad fresh. The pizza is one of the best (and I’m fussy) and my husband’s kebab was gorgeous too. We are not local to the area but visit frequently. Staff are fabulous. Have seen other posts and let’s put it this way, it’s clean it’s fresh so it’s not going to be ready in a jiffy. I don’t mind waiting for quality. I’ll try not to take all your change next time ;-)

After an hour and a half wait for delivery of our food, we were delivered a bag of food that went in the bin. The kebab met was inedible, it was cold, hard and clearly was not fresh. The chips were ok, at least we had something to eat! This was our first time trying here and wont be eating here again!

Had a kebab and the mrs had chicken and chips, food was on time and hot very tasty chips and very friendly delivery driver great takeaway :)

Ordered last Saturday for my boys through Just Eat and the food was lovely. The delivery person left a menu and encouraged us to book direct in the future for a 20% discount. The menu confirmed this. AS DOES the website. We ordered again on Tuesday (these are in precedented times.. don’t judge us) and paid.The website wouldn’t deduct the 20%. I asked the delivery driver, who told me to call the shop. The menu again I was given showed 20%. But the manager..Said... the menus were old and out of dateThen said they had not updated the websiteThen said these were special times and he couldn’t give the discount.The website today still offers the 20% discount. Appalling profiteering behaviour which they tried to justify. Avoid at all costs.

Lovely staff I made a mistake in the comments without realising putting extra toppings on my pizza and they made another pizza and also delivered it to my home address. Highly recommended for something quick and easy from a take away to go here.

Absolutely revolting. Ordered a margarita pizza, fish and chips and mushy peas. Worst chips I have ever tasted, soggy and greasy and under cooked. Fish was soggy and Cold. Never ever again

You may have to wait but at least everything is fresh. Chip portions are mahussive! Fish beautiful and flakey

Called in to get ba takeaway on the way back home from holiday bought 2 fish and chips . On getting home found both were rancid tasing and uneatable------------never again later discovered in local paper it had been rated ZERO by food standards

With a hygiene rating of ZERO I wouldn't eat anything from here! Can't understand why anyone would buy food from here.

Since going online the service and food quality has really deteriorated. I called in for 1 portion of chips and 1 portion of chips and pie, I ended up waiting nearly half an hour while other customers came, collected their order and left. When I opened my order up at home I was so disappointed to find a pile of chips so overcooked they were almost burnt.The manager did offer me a portion of gravy or curry to compensate for the long wait though!I won't be going back and certainly don't recommend the place.

I have ordered a few times off just eat and have enjoyed the food. Delivery can be a bit hit and miss, as they don’t let you know if they’re running late, but that’s about all negative !!!

Always service with a smile, always freshly cooked and piping hot and the sauces are made fresh too. The chicken kebabs are the best around!

Don't eat here !! After waiting an 1 hour and 45 minutes (which we got told it would be 45mins online) I kept calling up and was told they were waiting in driver so after an hour of our food waiting to be delivered it arrived and the 2x pizza was stone cold, and wet from being stuck in a box for an hour! The chips were the same! I paid over £35 complained the way they told me too through their website chased them up and to be told today as it's been a week they won't be refunding also the manager at the shop was just rude and wouldn't listen basically just wanted to keep my money even though all their vile food went straight in the bin!!! I would 100% say don't eat here vile food and vile people !

If this takeaway had a hygiene score of 5 I would not have had a problem paying £13.50 for 2 X fish and chips. The 2 rating was indicative of the fact that the chips were stale, re-heated and dry. The fish was good, however £4.95 per portion was ridiculous. Will never use again.

Stayed in cottage in Dyserth and walked to shop on two occasions. A good steep walk, but got served in about ten minutes of ordering both times. Me and my partner thought the fish was the best we have had for a long time, really light batter, well worth the walk!

Pre ordered a meal last night on line to be delivered at 7.30 , a delivery turned up at 6.50 that wasn't ours and rang them to let them know he was talking to me as if it was my fault for the mix up. Delivery driver who I've got to say is a great guy was very apologetic and came to take back the wrong order which I think is very bad practice who wants an order that's been opened and sat in someone else's house this was now 7.10

Smashing chips. Parking can be a lottery, but never been disappointed by our regular takeaways. Well worth considering.

Went to this place last night, the manager was so rude, such a long wait and he spoke to the young guy helping him in a very intimidating way, felt sorry for him! Food was not great.

Donna meat and chips!! What 2 strands of meat and loads of chips.. 6quid for chips.. pizza was cold.. looked like a re heat.. took nearly 2 hours to arrive!!! No apologies either

Thought i would try this shop on the way home from work. The person serving had zero customer interaction. An almost aggressive approach to my order of chips and kebab meat. A smile at least to a new customer ? The food itself was reasonable , but I wont return due to the attitude of the server.

As I came in for my dinner this evening, I was approached by the very polite young boy who is new at the place, his smile made my day! During my wait we had a chat about how the day had been, I was amazed by his manners as not many people his age use them so often! This is my first time at the place and the food smelt amazing. I was very pleased with the out come and the food was delicious! Will definitely come here again very soon!

Tonight we visited here, like we do most weekends we come to the caravan, to find another new face on the till... We now know why!!

We are camping in the area at the moment and called in on the way back to the site. It was early at about 3 30pm. We had a reasonable order for 5 of us but as they had only just opened it took a while to prepare. That said it was nice to know the food was cooked fresh as it was literally made to order. And although I didn't mind waiting I was given a free garlic bread to acknowledge the delay. The fish was lovely and fresh, the curry sauce was a large pot compared to at home and the portions generous.

Had the chips burgers fishcakes and pizza over a few days and found it all to be well cooked and soo tasty. Well deserving of a visit.

best place for takeaway that delivers to prestatyn, food is always spot on and the meal deals are reasonably priced

As we live very near, we visit regularly. Best kebab and chip shop in north wales! Love the place and staff are so friendly!

Pescado horrible y patatas fritas. Parecían calentado desde la última apertura. Fue un desperdicio de dinero que no comer.

Tenemos comida para llevar desde aquí regularmente y siempre he tenido buena comida fresca sabrosa. Hay una buena variedad de comidas para elegir y de muy buena relación calidad-precio. Tienes un montón para tu dinero, grandes porciones. Entrega rápida cada vez que pedimos.

Pizza soggy, undercooked but burnt in places. Toppings never right. Bad customer service, fobbed off. only saving grace is that one of the delivery drivers is nice.

Really shocked at how the food came, not only was it an hour late it was half cooked to the state it was as wet as sink cloth. You can clearly see half of the pizza was burned and the other soggy. It came with a garlic bread pizza and that was exactly the same. We paid £16 for this and got told on the phone "we are busy" don't bite of more than you can chew in my opinion. Never again and would not advise this hole to anyone.

I don't really like giving bad reviews as I'm sure all businesses have their up days and down days but sadly my experience there was not enjoyable and I don't think I'll be ordering from there again... the service was slow, I had to repeat my order a few times and they still got it wrong and charged me too much... and then when we finally got our order, is tasted of old oil and was far too greasy....

Loads to choose from, cooked while you wait, good food and really enjoy every meal that i have had. Highly recommended. Parking outside the shop.

Went to this chip shop tonight got to say the rudest manager I've ever met in my life there was a very young man working In the shop the manager was speaking to him like a idiot he had sent the young lad to get change the young lad did not get change he gave him such a dirty look I was watching this manager with customers no eye contact and no smiles very rude also orderd chips and gravy worst chip I have ever tried you could taste they had been heated up time and time again I would not use this shop again

So i have visited here 3 times and each time the experience has gotten worse, we certainly will not be coming back after giving it the benefit of the doubt twice already. First visit the food was cold, soggy and just poor, they wrapped up one of our ordered and did not give us the other for another 30 minutes, that one order was sat on the counter for all that time going cold! ... Second time the nuggets had absolutely no taste, kebab had an extremely salty cabbage like thing thrown on top and no sauces. Pizzas tasted purely of tomato puree and had to be chucked due to the state of them. We also waited around 40 minutes. For the final visit we decided to book the food before we went, the phone lines were down so we chose to book online using their website shown on their menu as we didnt want to wait so long in the shop. We placed our order for 6 totalling £35, had a confirmation online etc and went to collect our order. On reaching the shop an extremely rude and arrogant staff member started raising his voice at us saying 'how can you book online when our phones are down?!' and 'No if you arent from prestatyn then we dont have an order for you!!'...just pure rude, because of him the shop has lost a £35 sale and any future sales! ...sort it out Dyserth.

I visited with my girlfriend to collect an order and upon checkout I reached for the 12" margarita pizza and the owner vigorously grabbed the box off of me and gave me the most horrendous look you could possibly imagine! I will not recommend or even visit this place again! And to top it off the food was not great either. The pizza was rather chewy and burnt in places, and the chips were soggy and tasteless! Absolutely terrible place.

Twice we have been here but twice they have managed to get the order wrong. The first time they fixed the problem the second they did not. Will not be going there again and I would avoid at all costs.

Had pie and chips and wife half pound burger. Burger was nice but thats where the positivity end. The pie was awful the chips were worse. The chips were really really bad . Meat and potato pie was mush and no meat.

This place can never get an order right. Long waiting time only to get home and find that the food is cold and much of the order is missing.Staff cannot understand plain English and become bombastic when questioned.Give it a miss.

Chips aren't very nice just soggy, most of the time the staff miss something off the order or get it wrong. And if you make a telephone order they don't cook it until you're there anyway so you wait even longer. This isn't the first time I've been and I've given it several chances time and again over the past two years since moving to the local area, each time disappoints in some way. Sorry Dyserth chippy!

I live locally and this is the only place I will buy chips from. Can't speak for the rest of the menu but the chips and potato scollops are a safe bet.

Eaten from here on several occasions and the food is always delicious. The dishes are value for money and the portions are always huge. Last time my family ordered quite a bit and the young man behind the counter helped carry the food to my car, very polite.

I went in & ordered a pizza because there were no fish, chips or chicken ready at the time. I ordered a hot & spicy beef, 9" thin crust. When I got home I found it was neither hot, spicy or beef..it was pepperoni with pineapple, thick crust! I was the only one in the shop so there was no chance of mixing up an order...not worth taking it back so I DID eat it because I was starving, lol!!Sorry, but that's the last time I'll go in there!

I have been coming to this chip shop for over 17 years, since I've lived in Dyserth. Always had the best quality of food from here, very generous portions and and the prices are very reasonable. I can't believe it's taken me until now to post a review but after reading their very few poor reviews, which I believe are a load of bull, I felt I should stick up for my local chip shop who are certainly not of the description that you'll read in the bad reviews.Me and my family come here a lot and are always very looked after by the owner and his staff.Don't read the bad reviews! This place is one of the best chip and kebab shops that I've ever been to.

I live in Dyserth and will never use Dyserth chippy ever again I went there for a bag of chips and they must of served me a handful of chips all he said was "boss said that's it take it out with the boss" very disappointed

We live in Dyserth and use the Fish Shop in the village regularly. Food is always good and fish is freshly cooked. We have not had a bad meal from there in the 19 years we have lived in the village!

Just bought fish and chips, 4pm on a Tuesday, absolutely revolting! The fish was old, reheated and tasted bad, the chips were old and reheated (more than once I'm sure) and the sausage I bought for my poor old dog was completely rancid and soaked in fat. I'm sitting here with a full plate of uneaten fish and chips and feeling very sick. If I could justify the expense of driving back there to complain I would, I'd happily ask them to try and eat their own food - sausage included!Really, avoid this place.

Everything looks dirty in there, grubby its a good job everything is deep fried,from a safety aspect that is!
