My wife and I recently had dinner at Foxtons Bar & Grill and were pleasantly surprised, although there are a few areas that could use improvement. Upon arrival, we were seated in a section where the lighting was quite dim, making it difficult to read the menu. This issue was compounded by the menu's font color, which is hard to read in low light conditions. A brighter seating area or improved menu readability would greatly enhance the dining experience. On a positive note, our waitress, Paige, was absolutely fantastic. She was friendly, attentive, and provided excellent service — a level of hospitality that is sometimes hard to come by. Well done to Paige for looking after us so well. For starters, my wife (who is Italian) ordered the Flatbread Bruschetta. Unfortunately, it fell short of expectations; it didn't resemble a traditional Bruschetta, which might disappoint those familiar with authentic Italian cuisine. On the other hand, I had the Halloumi Fries, which were delicious — not rubbery or dry, but perfectly cooked. For our mains, we both opted for the Cheeseburgers, which were very tasty with generous portions. The size was more than enough for us and left us feeling satisfied. One significant area for improvement is the toilets. Cleanliness and hygiene seemed to be lacking, and this is something that definitely needs more attention. Overall, we had an enjoyable evening. The prices are reasonable, and despite a few minor issues, we would be happy to return in the future.

Excellent hotel. Nice cooked breakfast. Pleasant efficient staff. Great for access to St Andrews golf course.
