Best Western Plus Keavil House Hotel in Fife

Our room wasn't ready when we got there but we got a nice upgrade

Worse Best Western Hotel I have stayed in. The hotel is run down and needs a refurbishment. The linen is poor and the pillows and quilts are so old then need to be replaced. The breakfast is poor with low quality ingredients.

Very friendly and accommodating staff, nice pool and spa, nothing us too much bother. Rooms are a but dated but clean and comfortable.

The restaurant/ kitchen staff deserve a special mention for going above and beyond.

There is still only 1 ev charger, would be nice to see a few more by now. The rooms are large and comfortable but the TV signal struggles to find a signal in rainy weather. Service was good especially in the restaurant but the food was hit and miss with some excellent dishes and some that tasted like they'd been dug out from the back of the freezer. The spa next door really made all the difference, couldn't fault that 😄.

Too hot in the bedroom and even hotter in the bathroom. Great bathtub. No elevators

Super friendly staff. Hannah, who checked us in, was super helpful. Basic room, however, very clean. Bed was comfortable. Tea/coffee. Bath and shower. Food was to a high standard. The breakfast in particular was so good. Buffet style which was great! Great leisure facilities with lovely staff. Jacuzzi, sauna, pool and gym. We will definitely be back! Thank you to all.

Recently at a wake. Nobody on reception, nobody to direct people to room wake was being held. One lager on tap the other not availabe. Quicky ran out only leaving IPA. Very poorly trained young staff. Bar aslo little stock of bottled beers. One staff member with little to no teeth bringing buffet. Not great advert for hotel. Tea, cofee was help yourself, never saw anyone serving it. If it was a school repotcard teacher would have put "Could do better"

Nice hotel a couple of miles outside Dunfermline, the service was good but I think they were short staffed. We didn't have dinner in the hotel but breakfast was very good though a bit chaotic, again I think this was due to short staffed. The leisure centre was very nice and comfortable with a decent pool. Would be happy to return if visiting Dunfermline again.

Overall a pleasant overnight stay, the room was spotlessly clean, comfortable and warm. Bar lacked atmosphere but as we were the only residents using it at the time, not surprised. Breakfast was very good but a little chaotic, though I think it was because of low staffing, that said it was still February so not a busy time of the year. Overall quite happy with our stay, my wife enjoyed the pool and spa club.

Really enjoyed my stay here. Really good service which I can't fault for this level of hotel. Room could do with a bit of modernising but with a period property that's to be expected. Didn't use the gym or pool but they are available for use. Will return here again next time I an in the area.
