Pitbauchlie House Hotel in Fife

Well located hotel with free parking. The room was very clean and the bathroom was renovated. We originally wanted to stay for 2 nights, but the spring mattress was so hard (you could feel the metal springs) that it was impossible for us to get a restful sleep, so we decided after the first night. The room is getting old. Our room was very noisy.

Our local Hard of Hearing Group has just had our 3rd Christmas Lunch here and we can’t praise it enough. Service, Food, Friendly Obliging Staff, Surroundings, we wouldn’t think of going anywhere else. One of our members asked if we had booked for next year - says it all! Thank you once again.

Great place for an overnight stay and evening meal. Will come back.

The team at the hotel could not have been better. With the hotels in Edinburgh getting so expensive this is a great and easy location to commute to the capital. The trains are great, J&B taxis were lovely to get to the station if you didn’t want to walk or use a bus.

So disappointed, attended an afternoon tea, post funeral. They had been informed that I was coeliac. I received separate sandwiches and a sausage roll. (Awful white bread and pastry). However, when I enquired about the cakes, the gluten free ones had been mixed in with the regular ones. Absolutely no care about cross contamination. Coeliac beware - I would stay away if at all possible.

It was very cosy but smaller than I thought. Enjoy myself nice to meet up with new people

Not a lot of kerb appeal but the room is nice, the hotel is clean and tidy, the meals are very nice indeed, and the staff seem very nice too.

Comfortable hotel, not very accessible for people with reduced mobility, spacious, comfortable rooms, large bed, although the pillows are a little soft. Dinner was too abundant, everyone who went had leftover food, a shame there was so much leftover. Very attentive, friendly and discreet service. The biggest drawback is the location, in the middle of a small town where there are only single-family houses and a pub. Recommended if what you want is to rest.

Hotel with old-fashioned charm. Don't breathe modernity. We book for 3 adults, the hotel does not ask how many beds are needed and so we end up with a useless bed that takes up all the floor space.

I stayed at the Pitbauchlie House Hotel for two nights as a tour guide with a group of 50 people. All travelers were extremely satisfied, especially the service was outstanding. I would choose this hotel again immediately.

Room furniture dated but very clean shower great would stay again without a problem.

Absolutely brilliant hotel. Staff are very helpful, cheery and friendly. Hotel is lovely as are the well kept garden and grounds. Went here with my husband for a couple of nights as we have been before The evening meals are very tasty and you get a good amount, it is a bit pricey. The cooked breakfast is brilliant and there's also a variety of cereals, fruit, juice, toast and croissants to choose from. ThRooms are clean, tidy and the hotel recycle and are for the environment which is brilliant. Would highly recommend this hotel to all. Thanks again to all the staff and hope to be back again.

The rooms were comfortable, the food good and it's got a car charger.

Stayed here twice in one week recently. The hotel was fine.. Some areas a little dated. One room was very spacious, with shower only, the other small and a bit tight for space, with shower over the bath only. The latter room smelled a little stale, but rooms were spotless. Beds incredibly comfy though. Ate in the bar conservatory area, a pleasant area with nice view. Menu is limited but both meals I had were fine. Staff are very helpful and friendly.

The Hotel is lovely and friendly enjoy my lunch and loved the beer garden for drinks its so pretty and spacious can't wait to go back 🤣🤣🤣

Terrible restaurant food, staff are polite most of the time, but chat about you in plain sight and earshot which is weird. Decor looks like something from the 80s and the rooms are cramped and small. The lady on the front desk is polite and friendly, the only silver lining. Won't be coming back or recommending. Its not hard to produce good pub style food, get rid of the microwaves and sort out your menu/kitchen staff out.

Perfect room. Breakfast was a little bit of a disappointment.

There for a birthday party. Poor quality meal. Fish very poor. And don't start me on the starters. Service? Stand at the end of a long table and expect customers to shout their orders at you. Never again.

Was at a Christmas night out there it was like the manager just wanted use in and out as quickly as possible We where not rowdy in any way. The food wasn't up to mutch portions where very small felt like I would have been better off at McDonald's. We have been going hear for years but this was very disappointing.
