Dynasty Dundee in Dundee City

Called in yesterday. Had our bikes so we were looking for a beer garden type establishment. Boy, did we pick a winner. Food delicious, two bruschetta with salad and crisps and two white wine spritzers, all for under £24.

We enjoyed a lovely breakfast. We did get a drinks menu so wasn't sure what hot drinks were on offer. The breakfasts were good quality and large portions.

I've been to a lot of parties downstairs and it's a great venue, the bartenders are always very friendly and nice.

Found Casa after being recommended. Didn't disappoint. Food and service was excellent. It was quiet on a Sunday evening. Fish and chips seem to be a speciality and were a hit with two of our party, even Commenting on how light and tasty the batter was. I had the Falafel foccacia with sweet chilli sauce which I have not had anywhere before. Delicious. We will be back In the near future.

Very slow service, food portions small, quite inaccessible for disabled people. However, pretty decor. (IN REPLY TO THE COMMENT: I did not order a bacon roll? What on earth is the management on).

Incredibly bland food at an unreasonably high price.... Review edited. Seeing how Casa reply to any negative reviews with a passive aggressive response really lowers my estimation of the staff.

Visit here frequently and food is very good, lovely staff and place . Great ambience too . Was extremely disappointed however 😞 with the Christmas Dinner on Friday night which consisted mainy of roast parsnips, the tiniest slice of turkey and hard sprouts and search for a bit of a potato. Normal menu 5/5 , Christmas Dinner 2/5 . I should've complained but didn't want to ruin others night .

Really nice food, a very tasty burger. Very friendly staff and great service. Would recommend and I'll be visiting again.

Hands down best breakfast I've ever had. Food is amazing, fresh, Bacon Crispy and tasty, if you go for scrambled eggs you get them done properly, not microwaved, sourdough bread amazing. If it was based in Aberdeen would've been there daily

Only managed around half the strawberry daiquiri before giving up. Made from a pre made bottle and was just so syrupy. The aperol spritz my other half ordered was tiny, had to ask for ice and had too much soda. Also wasn't finished.

Was looking forward to the poached or fried egg and scrambled egg was in its place. My only things was not enough tomatoes but otherwise on the whole the best delivered breakfast around. We will use Casa again.

I would not recommend booking this place for any celebrations or parties. Absolutely shocking service I have received. Had a baby shower booked and due to baby arriving 10 weeks early I am being refused my deposit back due to them not being able to fill the booking. Management of the place is very not understanding and rude

Booked a table a week in advance, to eat and drink for our anniversary and no table avaible adequate for eating. There was a time when we could get a table to eat in there at any time, now it's full of kids getting drunk and no room for people wanting to eat. Shame really as it advertises itself as a restaurant.

Popped in for a late lunch early tea and was over the moon with the food on offer and how polite and friendly our waitress was. Usually pop in for drinks this was 1st time for a meal and won't be last

Nice decor but small space and bar staff did not seem to be on the same page at times. Security guards could've been kinder. Nothing particularly bad about them but they were not particularly nice either.

Up to date restaurant in an old historic setting. Appears to attract all types, young and old. Food was excellent with enough choice to satisfy most tastes. Once the home of an eminent Provost of Dundee who would be astonished and possibly approving of the transformation!

terrible place, dull annoying music, young girls like p;&@&, unworthy unemployed men , dirt around . also, if you live nearby forget about sleep during the period from Thursday to Sunday because the drunken youth will make sure that you do not sleep. owners, do you know your own law?

Worst cocktails in the world. Like not even the same ingredients on the list that went in the cocktails. Abysmal. Didn't even drink that. And they have the gall to charge the same as actual cocktail bars.

Myself and 3 friends were at Casa at the weekend. The staff were extremely helpful and allowed us to make changes but still use our voucher that we had. Staff very attentive and made the experience really great! Food also lovely, mac n cheese really cheesy and creamy. Cocktails were delish!

Best Karaoke in Dundee I recently had a party in CASA. We booked the karaoke room downstairs. It was exactly what I was looking for as it was well priced, a private space and in Dundee. I don't think there are other options for private karaoke rooms in Dundee. As an additional bonus the booking gives you access to a late bar and a couple of different dancefloors. Beforehand we preordered 2 x 10 cocktail trees and a bucket of beer bottles, which were very reasonably priced and waiting for us on arrival. Harriet and Ewan made the organising very easy. On the night they were responsive and attentive tending to the groups many requests. I'll 100% be booking this again. Thanks to all the CASA staff for a great night.

Nice and beautiful decorated place. Food is not spectacular but cocktails and atmosphere are outstanding. It has a little car parking with an accessible entrance from the back. If parking is full, it's easy to park around. Main entrance through a few steps. Bar in the ground floor for Karaoke, events and latin dancing, it also has a beautiful terrace. Salsa, bachata, kizomba dancing on Thursdays, sometimes with lessons at 7.00pm.

Horrid, disgusting, tasteless food of very very poor quality.... Avoid this place as it’s filthy and has extremely poor standards when it comes to hygiene and customer service. Owners attitude to complaints is appalling, a very aggressive individual who does not know how to deal with the public or run a business. We will never return due to his attitude.

Happy to be back,food is always delicious and portions are filling. Service very attentive with friendly service. The management is doing excellent job during pandemic and it's one of those places in Dundee where we always feel safe in a welcoming environment. A great place and highly recommend to everyone.

Having previously eaten here before lockdown I have been itching to return and I have to say, the quality has not decreased and was a perfect experience all round. While COVID has caused a few restrictions to be put in place the staff did all they could to work round these and accommodated to everything I asked. The starter I had was chicken dumplings followed by a hot and sour beef soup. Both dishes were full of flavour and left me feeling full and satisfied The decor inside gives the feeling of a fine dining restaurant and I have to say the food lives up to the expectations the surrounding imply. I will definitely be returning (hopefully before lockdown comes crashing back down again.)

Third visit to tangs and never been disappointed. Amazing atmosphere and food is very delicious.i love the bar and over all atmosphere, always a welcoming and happy vibe. Cannot wait to go back and highly recommended to everyone

Disappointing. Very bland, not nice tasting. Gave my friend diarrhoea. I would really avoid this place. They care about what the restaurant looks like more than quality of food. We also had to wait an hour for food and the place was quiet.

I went here in late August 2020 as I was in Dundee for the weekend. While the waiter was extremely friendly, the service and food was terrible. The door to the back garden was open all night so the interior was absolutely freezing, and it took us ages just to receive a drink. I ordered the crispy sweet and tangy chicken which cost just under £30, and it was unbelievably overpriced. The chicken itself was non existent, it was all batter. It was being bland, and also took ages to be served - we were the only customers who were waiting on food as it was quiet, so I'm unsure what the delay was. I appreciate the look of the food and the floral decoration they put on the plate, but I would rather something that tasted good. The definition of style over substance. The waiter was lovely but was unfortunately let down by the chef(s).

I visited here with my friend and cousin for a last night out before my cousin went back to England. We were greeted by outstanding interior design. Gobsmacked. Beautiful starters. There was a mix up of forgotten spring rolls but they were brought out promptly and were also lovely. Mains were brought out by the waitress and chef. The chef wished us a good meal which was nice. After our mains we were left swooning and in pure bliss it was the best chinese cuisine I have ever had. The chef came out again to make sure we were all satisfied. Big compliments to the chef for the divine food and to the friendly staff. Especially impressed as this was less than a week of opening after covid 19 lockdown. Will definitely be back.

I arrived late one sunday evening. Its a very interesting space. i ordered coke -it was flat and this at just under £3. I ordered fried rice and crispy chicken. The rice smelt bad -i assume it was old rice or the oil was rancid. They don't use disposable chopsticks like most restaurants and the chopsticks were dusty. The chicken was just horrible. I can def cook better than this. I can't imagine it was a cook in the kitchen or if it was they had literally no pride or self respect. My waiter didn't bother to ask my why i hadn't eaten it. i was just so tired after my travel (and hungry) that i just could face arguing and paid almost £30 for this tracheostomy's. Quite possibly the WORST meal i have ever had. Shame on you Dynasty. Never again.

Absolutely delightful, calm, sophisticated, atmospheric and simply wonderful...amazing chef who is interested in your tastes

Myself and 2 of my friends went for an amazing dinner on 21st January 2020 and all in all, I haven't had a good night like that in a while. The whole meal, gifts, restaurant. Everything was a complete surprise but our server and amazing cook Lucas was the best! Crazy delicious food and honestly we stayed a while longer just cos the chat was brilliant! And whoever Lisa is, you're the best too! Brilliant night and it was quiet and just what we needed!! Coming back soon!

The decor in this restaurant is something to behold absolutely amazing. The food is different quality to your normal Chinese takeaway but is delicious. The staff are attentive and friendly but don’t be put off by the lack of atmosphere when you walk in. The only recommendation I could make to the owner is please make the plates / dishes the food served in warm. But well worth a visit.
