Dworek in Wellingborough

I was wandering around town looking for somewhere to sit down and eat with a friend from outside the area and my wife. My friend and I had had a lot to drink and were feeling a little worse for wear, although still polite, concious and aware of others. We came in here because it looked clean and inviting and didn't look too busy. None of us had eaten at a Polish restaurant before so didn't really know what to expect. Anyway, the staff were helpful and friendly and we chose our dishes from the menu: I had what I think was called a beef stroganoff pancake with chopped veg (like the stuff you get with a takeaway Kebeb). Beautiful. My friend had what I think were pork chops in batter and these were delicious too. All very hearty and we couldn't finish our meals. The waitress wrapped them upo for us to take home and when I came to eat mine the next day it was even tastier! Very fast and friendly service made this a pleasant experience and we all decided it wouldn't be our last. So glad we came here.

Byłam z całą rodziną na obiedzie, razem z moim 3 letnim synkiem, który wymiotował po tym śmierdzącym, zepsutym jedzeniu. A ja i partner mieliśmy biegunkę. Ale okej, daliśmy szanse kolejny raz. Wzięliśmy więc schabowy. Jak kobieta go przyniosła, to myślałam że zwymiotujemy na niego! Super że duży, ale śmierdział jakby był trzymany w lodówce ze 2 tygodnie... i nie wiem, że kelnerka która to niosła tego nie czuła?! NIGDY WIĘCEJ! A pierogi? równie okropne! Ser skiśnięty, śmierdzący! Zabrałam do domu z myślą że może coś ze mną jest nie tak, bo 40£ wyrzucić do śmieci to coś jest nie halo! i może ktoś inny spróbuje, to nikt tego nawet nie dotknął! Z daleka śmierdziało! Nie chce wiedzieć jak i czym wy to robicie! Ale nigdy więcej nie skorzystam. Jedynie pyszny był kompot, i tylko to polecam.

Home cooked, fresh cooked, comfort food.Portions are big, service quick. Perfect schabowy. High recommended! Will be going back there!

I went with my Polish girlfriend and she said this was very typical Polish cuisine and it was very nice! Quite a short menu and opening hours are geared towards the Polish eat after work ethic, rather than up all night. Soft drinks on offer but you can bring your own beer (4 off licences on this street!!) and it was clean and nicely set out!Friendly staff and they were welcoming to English, Polish and other nationalities alike!A little slice of Poland in Wellingborough!

Dworek ofrece casero, reconfortante comida polaca. Como ya han mencionado otros usuarios, el tamaño de las porciones son enormes (aunque eran bastante dispuesto a dejar que me tome algunas de mis pierogi (buñuelos) conmigo) y es increíblemente buena relación calidad-precio. La comida está muy bien hecho, especialmente los postres que, aunque puede ser disecadas, bien vale la pena intentar hacer espacio.

visited with friends in the evening . you can take your own alcohol which brings down the cost of your evening out. The menu is small but for me that is good as I can spend ages deciding what I want. The starters came out and my friends had beetroot soup with croquettes which they said was amazing. the croquettes were huge. the main courses were lovely and came out on massive plates and then although we were all stuffed we managed a pudding which was home cooked cake and we also shared Belgian waffle. the price was reasonable and the food was lovely. cant wait to make a return visit. A hidden treasure.
