Duo Shoreditch in Hackney

Dull atmosphere, over hyped menu and typical basic decor. There is nothing special about this place. We went as a group of ten and our food arrived before our drinks. Clearly not enough staff for a busy bank holiday. After telling the manager we were not happy and we were going to leave he just shrugged his shoulders very unbothered, at this point I had eaten my meal but STILL didn’t have my drink. Avoid this place at all costs.

Waited twenty minuets before drink orders were taken, as a group of ten its understandable the wait for cocktails may be a little longer however half an hour later when we received our main meals we were still waiting for our drinks. By the time we had finished our meals four girls were still waiting on drinks. No apology, no discount and even still had service charge on the bill. AWFUL!

Went as the bar opened as a group of 10 with only one other table in. Waited almost an hour for a drink which was awful when it eventually came, the waiter couldn’t of cared any less, wouldn’t ever visit again.

I’ve been to Duo Camden many times and it was the first time I went to Duo Shoreditch and I loved the vibe. Defo recommend the shoreditch one to anyone if you don’t want to travel to far to camden. Staff and management was lovely and friendly.

Myself and a group of 4 other girls came for one of their bottomless brunches. We had booked 3-5pm with 2 hours bottomless prosecco and waffles. We didn’t get in until 3:15pm and quickly were given our first round of drinks shortly followed by the waffles. Overall the food was very underwhelming, it was lukewarm waffles about a quarter of the size of a typical waffle. The only good thing was the music and DJs as they were very good and played bangers for the whole time. The flow of top ups was non existent, we probably had about 3/4 refills across the full 2 hours even though we had empty glasses for a lot of it. The glasses are black so they can’t tell who needs top ups. We also had to ask for more waffles and they delivered only a few. If it weren’t for the music and general vibe I would’ve given it a 1. The manager then stopped serving the prosecco at 4:45 meaning that we had 30 mins left in of our 2 hours bottomless prosecco. A few tables told the manager how displeased we were with the fact we paid for 2 hours and only were getting 1 hour and a half and his response was that another woman on another table was throwing up in the road and the police had been called and couldn’t risk having more people drunk. He then proceeded to tell us he had only been he manager for a week and apologised but wouldn’t give us another top up. For £35 the brunch was not worth the money, the drinks were very poor and the food was barely there. If you’re looking for a brunch with good vibes but not filling or lots of drinks this will be for you.

We went to duo for the mean girls afternoon tea, and it was really nice. Girly, throwback songs were playing through it which I loved, and the food was delicious.

Leticia was our server and she was amazing! Really friendly, made our night and would definitely come back for more laughs and good vibes☺️🥳❤️!!

Time at duo was amazing the service was incredible, and the servers Mal and Tuq were extremely polite and attentive, they made our time special and made us feel very welcome and our experience memorial. Would 110% come again and recommend to friends and family
