Excellent meal, food was perfect in every way, freshly cooked beautifully presented and very generous portions. My second time here and I will be back again.

Just got home with 5 friends and an excellent meal coffee and the most fantastic staff. Friendly and welcoming smiling and nothing to much trouble. Can’t praise them enough. If you haven’t been there before give it a try you won’t be disappointed. 100% service

Really excellent food with quick, friendly service. The only shortcoming was the limited range of soft drinks on the menu, which were almost all coke etc.

Amazing food and great service, my only qualm being that , our experience here was so rushed, we had starters and no sooner that had been taken our mains had arrived, once finished we were asked for dessert, so we asked for a little breather, not one minute later someone else asked us for our dessert options, AGAIN less than a minute after that we were asked for options, a staff member then stipulated that we didn’t have much time as the table as it was further booked!!.. we had only been in the restaurant for an hour at this point so I therefore declined any desert option as I was uncomfortably full with no “breather” between meals, it was a special occasion for us to be out and we had had no notice of timings on the booking, and for me this has ruined our experience here, not entirely sure I would return for this very reason.

1st visit won't be the last, we had the lunch special menu, with a small choice but good variety. great food and couldn't believe how cheap for 2/3 course meal we only had 2 courses as too full even for an ice cream

I had dinner here with my sister and we had the most amazing food, wine and exemplary service. We were warmly welcomed and enjoyed our food very much. The desserts are divine, especially the pina colada ice cream, out of this world! Highly recommend Dunya and will definitely eat there again.

I had special offer of mixed grill kebab with kunefe a few months ago and just kunefe with Turkish tea recently. They both were delicious and tasty with a good price. Every thing was perfect in both visits and really enjoyed it. Recommended kunefe to all.

The team at Dunya were welcoming, attentive and incredibly kind. The service was friendly and myself and my group of colleagues thoroughly enjoyed our meals. Everything came out hot, tasted amazing and there was such a variety! We were incredibly impressed with the portion sizes.

We were hesitant about eating here due to the particularly high prices(£22.50 for a mixed shish), but thought it must be very good. Sadly not. It wasn't bad, but the 4 of us eating all felt it was quite average. The main issue being the meat wasn't well marinated, and coming from a charcoal grill didn't have any smokiness or characterful nature. Wouldn't revisit. Bit of a shame. £30 for a kebab and pint of Efes.

Very tasty Turkish food in a great setting and easy to reach location I'm the heart of Plymouth. The lunch menu is very good value and offers a good range for a set menu, with good vegetarian options. Service was excellent and very attentive (without being intrusive). A great choice for a special occasion or celebration.

Unfortunately this time we were very disappointed. The staff were unfriendly and abrupt. The food did not taste fresh the salad and rice had a weird taste the Tursu had gone off the meat was rubbery and had no flavour. Such a shame because the last time we came it was delicious.

Excellent food, service, and welcome. Helpful and informatics team, in relation to gluten free options. Thoroughly recommend for excellent value two course lunch menu, and extensive evening menu.

Service was brilliant, all the staff very friendly and make a real effort. The food is excellent value for money, the mixed sharing platter was especially good value although rather light on vegetables, it is more than enough for two.

Top quality food, make sure you come hungry!

Working away and popped in for dinner, I have eaten A LOT of Turkish and this place is by far the best, It was so good we went 2 nights in a row! Everything was spot on, I can’t believe the flavours, we had a huge selection of different dishes and couldn’t fault one - my fellow workers also agreed was amazing. Well done guys, if I’m back in the area you are my first choice.

We had dinner as 3 people, my son and my husband. While we were drinking our soup, we needed bread. Normally, in Turkish restaurants, extra bread is free or a very small amount is charged. But Dunya Restaurant charged us £4.35 for a handful of bread. It is not ethical for them to charge this price for such a tiny piece of bread. As a Turk, I felt deceived, but I paid the price because I was ashamed for them. But if you are not very hungry and want to eat less, I would not recommend Dunya restaurant. Because in their eyes, you become an unwanted customer who does not spend much money. The waiter who served us was polite but the owner's attitude made me very sad

If I could rate this restaurant more than 5 stars I would, the place is extremly clean and the bathrooms too, wich is amazing and kinda hard to find, the servers are very kind and always offer you the best options, and obviously the food is outstanding, I normally get full easily and leave some food on the plate but this was just too good , I had to eat all even if I was too full!

Fantastically authentic Turkish cuisine right in the middle of town. They have the most incredible Nepalese waitress who is just charming and helpful. Very good food and superb Effes beer. My only gripe was alcohol prices. 1 bottle of beer £7 😩

We had a meal here on Saturday, it was great food. Fantastic service, until they forgot my son's order. Cleared my daughter's drink away even though she hadn't finished it. Other than that it was great 😊

We went there with our guests and everything was amazing - the food has been absolutely delicious, the drinks, the service and the atmosphere- would highly recommend and will go there again for a Turkish feast! Sheima has been our waiter and she has been great throughout the service!

This place..... What an experience! Shelley and zezo made me and my girlfriend feel so welcome! We'd heard good things but didn't expect it to be this good! Veggies, go for the Mantar Sote Casserole, you won't regret it

Perhaps I was expecting more as ratings are good. Firstly, no issue with the food in terms of fresh ingredients, competently executed. But the menu is unexciting. Chicken and/or lamb (or veggie) grilled or skewered, basically. We had a shared mezze starter, six different concoctions, some ok some a little better, with not quite enough flatbread. Mains were a halloumi heavy veggie dish and a chicken shish (grill) with bulgur, salad and chips. Completely fine but unmemorable. Sadly you cannot say location is a plus point, perched on a very large busy roundabout. And while service was pleasant, we were asked by at least 4 staff in the first 10 mins if we wanted a drink when we'd explained we'd explore the menu before choosing a wine. The easy drinking (and cheapest) french Merlot may have been the highlight! And at £80 not really a steal.

Not our first visit nor our last. Love this restaurant for its authentic Turkish cuisine. Sonu our waitress for the night was wonderful, smiling, happy, making us feel welcome. She was ably assisted by her colleagues as we were a table of seven.

The food was amazing, this has to be one of the best lamb chops I have ever had in my life it was very soft, much better than London lamb chops which are hard. But the mojito was the worst I have ever had in my life I would not recommend anyone to have the mojito.

It was one of the best lamb chops I have ever had. I would highly recommend this restaurant. It's very welcoming. The food tasted fresh and hot in temperatures. The portion is excellent for the amount you pay. It was expensive but worth it. Do give it a try.

If you visit this restaurant and have the set 4 course meal for 2, make sure you're hungry. It is fab u lous. The service is great, and the facilities are very clean 👌. Thoroughly enjoyed our visit here 😀

The food is delicious and very tasty, with so many choices, great service and the staff is incredibly polite and always there for you. The prices are a bit high, however, it’s worth it for the lovely atmosphere and the good vibes. Would highly recommend Dunya restaurant for family gatherings and special occasions. A wide wine and sweets selection. This modern Turkish restaurant is a great addition to Plymouth!

We were recommended by friends to eat hear when they knew we were coming to Plymouth. Certainly not disappointed from the friendly efficient staff, menu packed with lots of options to the amazing food no wonder it's so popular. We had the sharing platter for 2. The meat was so tender. It's difficult to remember when we have had a better dinning experience. One tiny tiny negative the possible brought in frozen desserts. But certainly no reason not to whole heartedly recommend. Went to see Pretty Woman with 10 friends at The Theatre Royal and chose this restaurant as it is just across the road... so glad we did! Food and staff were amazing! Food was delicious and the staff couldn't do enough for us. Throughly recommended 👌

Comfort food, great food experience!! Had a wonderful dine with friends. One for the books if you crave for Arabic cuisine. Tried their “Dunya Sharing Platter”, including chicken wings, lamb ribs, chicken and adana lamb kofte, chicken and lamb shish, turkish salad and a lovely Baklava treat! Authentic Arabic grilled food, never should you missed out trying their menu! Customer satisfaction is a ➕ we were served timely, Shaymaa and Handsome did an excellent service!

Over priced ,£7 a pint and £21 for mince on a stick, add one screaming child, so lots spent on not much served in a McDonald's atmosphere.

I had read the reviews, I went because the service was supposed to be excellent, but how dissapointing! The waitresses were miserable, couldn't even raise a smile or eye contact. Food was nice, but the service ruined the whole experience, Wasn't worth the money

A wonderful evening tonight celebrating my step mum's 70th birthday. Tasty, well presented food served by friendly attentive staff.. well worth a visit.

Just been for a meal booked 8.30 said we wanted to stagger courses . We were advised Couldn't as Kitchen closed this was at 9pm. Felt really uncomfortable people cleaning and like we shouldn't be there 90 bill for less than 55 minutes. Sad as wanted to enjoy food ,service and atmosphere let it down :( won't book again

I went there a week ago with my husband for a date night, I was greeted at the door by a young blonde woman ( I did ask for her name, but I can't remember) she was absolutely fantastic, very friendly, professional and went above and beyond for every customer I saw her with. The food was stunning,. Only criticism I have is I did think the restaurant was bigger than it was, I was quite surprised by how small it is, but I loved the open kitchen and being able to see the chefs cook. I would 100% return.

Giving it 1 star because of the fact that they serve very small portion of food for unbelievable high price. And the food quality and teste is nothing special, just ordinary kebab. Why is it so pricey then? What is wrong with these people?

Possibly my favourite restaurant in Plymouth at the moment. Can't really fault it at all. Went tonight before going to the Theatre and the three of us agreed it was an outstanding meal. Will be back soon.

The food was great apart from the Rice portion was VERY SMALL INDEED. The waiter managed to drop my cutlery into the main course. However, accidents happen so that wasn't a big problem. The table adjacent to me had 12 blokes on and they were VERY LOUD INDEED. Overall though, I would return for a meal there and find a quiet table.

we were visiting Plymouth to see Michael McIntire and wondered where to eat before the show. looking on the internet Dunya was recommended. What a fantastic restaurant, great food, great atmosphere and great staff. If you want a turkish meal this is the best one in Plymouth. how anyone can give it less than 10 out of 10 is out of the question. Pity we didn't take any photos as all the dishes were great. Cant wait to visit again

My partner and I had a lovely pre-cinema meal here. The service and atmosphere was excellent. We would both recommend the lentil soup and moussaka - fresh and delicious. Our waitress Sonu, was very friendly, attentive and professional. We will definitely return when we have more time to enjoy more courses.

I'm from south Korea and I came to plymouth for studing English. And this is the first time ever I review the food. During the 6 weeks this restaurant was the best one indeed, I swear! The price was very kind and the food was generous! I particulary loved the rice!! I loved that proper amount of moisture in it and its soft texure! 3 courses meal for the lunch was perfect! It was maybe starter : sucuk/ main : chicken shish/ dessert : ice cream

I've eaten here twice now; once for the lunch special and once for dinner and it has been exceptional both times. Front of house are friendly and accommodating, the food was divine and its beautifully clean with a lovely atmosphere. Can't wait to come again.
