Quite on the day service a bit slow,clean tidy, food nice.

Lovely Sunday lunch with family and friends. Staff warm and welcoming. Food was delicious. Staff very attentive and restaurant very clean.

Cooked Breakfast was cold both mornings we stayed at the premier inn, booked a table for evening meal when we arrived we had to find a table, then order your meal at bar, there was a large que at bar when I went up to order then when I did order I was told it would be 35 minutes wait for our food eventually it arrived 50 minutes later.

Regular brewers fayre. Nothing special, nothing bad.

Food is disgusting, wet and never cooked right. Medium steak is burned, cremated even. Peas overcooked. Smaller kids portions than imagined and tastes and looks like a ready meal. I'm disappointed. The service was fairly good and I have to add- saying they have certain items when they do not! Appalling.

Waited in line for 15 mins to order. Only 1 member of staff on till.lots.of other staff seemed to be milling about doing nothing.food was mediocre and small portions.nor worth the money.hubby couldn't take 3 yr old grandson in gents as it was blocked and I took him in ladies and found only 1 of 3 toilets working. Staff seemed disinterested and were slow. Breakfast was ridiculous. Waited again and again for fresh food to be brought out.(at one point the wait was 15 mins and a queue formed.). I am not fussy nor impatient but the service here was dreadful.Will not be returning here and would not recommend.

Breakfast was lovely. Spoke to chef John who was putting the food out and he cooked me some perfect poached eggs. Great value for money.

Holly and fay served me breakfast this morning. Food was hot and cooked perfectly. Both staff were attentive and friendly. Would definitely recommend.

Unfortunately everything went wrong. Cash only, unable to process email offer due to technical issues. Paid full price then 45 mins later no food, no explanation just a refund given. No music, dull and dusty, just dreadful. Shame as was great a year ago

Dirty tables, poor service.. No outdoor play facilities... Beef and ale pie was processed with bistro gravy, steak in edible.... Service was slow and erratic... First time my son has had to return 3 pints of coors lager... Unhygienic swopped table 3 times... Wouldn't spend£120 there ever again! Waste of a bank holiday and money!

Well I'm still waiting for dessert after 30 minutes. Smaller portions . Busy because school hols feels short staffed asked 4 times for dessert and still not arrived.x

Disgusting the way staff treat the customers no respect at all from going in to leaving... we have a big family they must not want our custom ... never going back there again ... very disappointed .... spoilt a good family day out ...one rule for one and one for others

Ordered 2 Katsu Chicken and chips starters, large. They brought out my partners, but I had to go and ask for mine, which I got 20 mins later, and it was half the size of my partners. Never brought our drinks out or the kids' food, so I had to ask for that also. The quality of the kid's food was not fit for consumption, and cold... Finally went to get our carvery and they had stopped serving it (4:35pm??) and not counted our orders. So we had to get a refund and never bothered with any other food after waiting over an hour and also asking where our food was on 3 different occasions. The lass at the bar was helpful and apologetic, but this is beyond a joke. I've had the same thing happen at Swindon and Birmingham. Food has gone crap, and the services are shocking. However, a few staff members are still good. Just give Brewers Fair a miss and go elsewhere, as their service has gone downhill all over the country, tables are never cleaned correctly or the cutlery, and you'd get better food from a microwaved meal. I'll not be back or using these for meal's when working away. Waste of money.

Good food at a reasonable price. Only criticism is that it's always cold in the restaurant. Air conditioning?

The above ratings are based on just one visit for breakfast after a night in the adjacent Premier Inn. Everything was spot on, by comparison with our local pub adjacent to the Premier Inn in Helston, Cornwall, it was luxury! The staff were SO friendly and helpful, the breakfast was great and the whole place was spotlessly clean. We were told that it was going to go up for sale, I just hope that the new owners maintain the very high standards. Thank you to the staff.

16 August 2024Visited for lunch arrived just before 11.30am ordered meals for my wife myself and my 2 grandchildren. The staff were pleasant and helpful meals arrived after a short wait which was enjoyed by all of us.The play area is certainly an asset for parents with young children. Worth the visit.

I do not recommend the chilli jacked potato, watery and spicy with no flavour

Food was nice. Service was a little slower but then again, it was busy. More staff would have been perfect. Food was great and very reasonably priced!

Spot on everything was great staff friendly and accommodating agreat Lunchtime bit and drink 🍸 👌. As per great service and food fab the soft play is spoton for our youngest ( he just never wants to come out). We had a lovely surprise tea out and loved every minute. Spot on team 👏

Food is nice, staffs are helpful and nice But the dining tables are not clean and the table menu is dirty

Absolutely awful service. Refused 2 adult pizzas told no as they only do this Monday to Saturday but kids were able to order their child pizzas. No adult alternative offered so adults didn't have a meal. Ordered a vegan dairy free ice cream and a banana for my toddler with allergies this was discussed upon ordering staff brought an ice cream out with a wafer and chocolate topping, no banana but a fruit salad in a glass dish so he was unable to eat his. Waited so long for the other kids ice creams they arrived fully melted and were like a milkshake, my child couldn't eat her flake she spat it out into the glass as it was stale no alternative or anything to compensate when spoken to management regarding these issues. Toilets were covered in toilet paper streamed everywhere absolutely vile. Miserable staff it's no wonder they're all closing down. Working people coming out for a weekend meal spent £80 and adults didn't even get the meal they came out for. Staff miserable only one man serving with a positive attitude. Will not be returning. Avoid at all costs wouldn't waste my hard earned money here again very disappointed

It is absolutely horrific.terrible service, the computer system shutdown, our order came after a freaking damn hour !!!Never come back again, absolutely waste of time

Started at the premier inn beside it and had breakfast and dinner here. Good service and food was yum and lovely. I like the way the restaurant is setup, area for kids, family and adults so everyone can still enjoy the restaurant doing whatever it is they went there to do.

Firstly this is no reflection on the staff working at the time, and previously have never had any issues at this outlet. However today's visit was atrocious, ordered and paid for 3 mixed grills, food arrived 35 minutes later they weren't over busy at the time but it appeared they had one member of staff in the kitchen and one lad trying to run the bar, and the play area as well as wait on tables, needless to say that when the food arrived it was only lukewarm, I spoke to the lad trying to run the front of house on his own, and requested the full order to be replaced. I did say that I realised it wasn't his fault, then a female member of staff came out asking what the problem was, she wasn't happy at having to get a fresh order cooked but complied. Still waiting now for replacement food 20 minutes later. I will update this review later

Emma, the duty manager, was an absolute superstar! Unfortunately due a very busy period, meals were brought out at different times, somehow our meals were duplicated and discount was missed off. Emma immediately rectified the situation calmly and quickly. We most definitely received a personal service today, and will be back!

The food was ok ish . Not above average , taste was bland. Had the prawn cocktail and the big burger with fries . Burger was better than expected , on a scale from 1 to 5 would give it a 2.5/3 . Very nice atmosphere, they had a kids area , great selection of draft beer. Also purchased breakfast with my stay at premiere inn by t the place was shut at 6 o’clock, so probably breakfast starts from 8 or something.

Wonderful food and great people serving

Went to a pre-booked children's party in the soft play area. Had paid extra to have the staff coming early so we could have it to ourselves. Very well organised and the lady on reception who looked after us was fantastic. They could make a few more friends by throwing in tea and coffee for the adults! No photos because there were lots of toddlers there.

Never been to the Dunelm Ridgefor a lot of years. My granddaughter and I decided we would have lunch there, somewhere different. The staff were lovely, the food was fab. Definitely call again and take my husband.

Had lunch there about 2 months ago and everything about it was awful service, atmosphere and worse of all the food. What can one say about the food? Chicken dried up, fries stone cold. I had to ask for them to be changed. I've eaten there many times before and enjoyed it but this time it was the pits. Never going again.

Very friendly staff and the softplay is very well placed. You can seat and have food and still have dull view of where your kids are within the softplay.

Shambles. Couldn't run a bath let alone a food establishment. Food came cold. Ordered mac n cheese it had a layer of congealed skin over it testifying how long it sat for, rendering it non edible. All other food was dry from the heat lamp. Service was terrible in everyday possible openly ignoring you to the best of their ability. Never in my years have a been to such a poorly ran place with as terrible food.

Absolutely awful. I ordered a mac n cheese and it came out cold, with a layer of skin on the top showing how long it had been stood there with no one touching it. Staff would ignore you and rather sweep floors that didn't need sweeping than serve the actual customers. The rest of the food we ordered was dry and cold, the only edible thing was the kids mean I've cream and brownie. The brownie was the hottest thing that came toward me. It was too warm tho, burnt my mouth. Awful service here. I'd not recommend to have a meal here personally. Had to take the food away ourself because they didn't, so the service here was absolutely awful. So was the food and so was the atmosphere as people were being ignored and visibly frustrated. Yet still no people payed any attention what so ever. You go up to the counter and still nobody did anything about it.

We visit the soft play area often the food is amazing and good portions, the staff member Emma that runs the soft play area is amazing with my daughter always going above and beyond

Black pudding deep fried; (despite them saying it wasn’t). Mushrooms undercooked, then they brought me back some microwaved ones! I was nearly sick at the table with the under cooked tomatoes. Cheap beans; poor bacon and sausage. Coco pops were okay(!) Friendlish service, but could have and should have, been a lot better! I wouldn’t return.

Very clean and staff were very polite. Food was cooked well and reasonably priced. Wasn't very busy when we went there on a Sunday so didn't have to wait long for food. Bit of a pain to get into when the arnison is busy but apart from that OK.

Entrance wasn't clearly marked so went wrong door and waited by what we thought was the reception then totally ignored by a member of staff. As it was our first time there unaware you just chose a table. Had the carvery with thin slivers of meat on offer. Won't be going back.

A typical Brewers Fayre really, the only sad thing was there was no hot chocolate when my son went to fill his mug. Bar staff wasn't very communicative. Nothing that wouldn't stop me popping in again.

Went in Saturday 22.03.24 ordered fish chips mushy peas that came out nice.I ordered fish chips garden peas.took folk of peas frozen.Took order back it came out after my partner finished her.I looked at it fish was half size chips looked like been refried couldn’t eat it.Had to get a refund will defo think twice about eating there again.

Soft play great for the kid, food no different to whetherspoons.

Went for mothers day Wow the carvery was disgusting! I had to pull over loads to be sick on the way home. Will never have food again from here. I am now poorly on mother's day thanks to the vile food! Update I was poorly for days after eating here. It's a shame I normally go and it's good for a couple of drinks but never again will I eat a carvery from here I wish I had cooked myself. Even my son spat his food out and wouldn't eat it from here.

Regular to the Dunelm Ridge, have been for years. It’s a pub that caters for a range of groups whether it be couples, families, or meeting mates for a drink and catch up. Has an indoor soft play area which always goes down well with the kids. There is also an outdoor play area aswell. Vast selection of food on the menu that caters for most clientele, including vegans and vegetarians. Decent quality of food, reasonably priced. Blue Light cards welcome aswell. Staff are lovely, welcome and attentive. Emma who works mainly in the children’s play area is great with the children. Interactive, makes sure the place is run thoroughly and efficiently. Little area of the pub you can take dogs into, plenty of on-site parking.

Food was Luke warm,, gravy and turnip was like water. Very disappointing. Would not recommend

Are there tonight. Not busy but still took 45 for food to arrive. Chip were barley warm server took both plates away and cam back 10 mins later, no better offered to replace them by then we had waited best part of an hour,declined as we were already late. Never had service this poor anywhere, certainly won't make the same mistake again

Stop over for work and had food from here , great service from staff ,food cooked lovely and served quickly, nice pint Carling and sticky toffee pudding.

Comfortable atmosphere quite area's to sit

Served meat to a vegan didn’t listen to meal requests apart from that atmosphere was nice but no compensation or good will was offered for serving a vegan meat . Asked for no salad and half the plate was salad not fully impressed with this. Portion sizes for smothered chicken weren’t impressive .

Regular visitors to this Brewers Fayre but slightly disappointed this time. New (or unfamiliar) staff on bar who made mistakes with orders and had to chase for desserts to be served on both evenings. Only one real ale available but food excellent as always and 2 staff who've worked there for many years give good customer service. Seemed quieter than usual during our stay....

carnt believe I booked table for Xmas brekkie and received confirmation of booking then half an hour before attending was cancelled because of Xmas with santa surely should of been informed when booking was made ....not good customer service very disappointed family n 3 kids Thanks Dunelm Ridge Arnison county Durham

We come every year on the 23/12 as it's something my son has always wanted to do. When we arrived the first thing we was told was we had to be out by 8.45. This made us not welcome at all. No one came to check if everything was ok as there was two members of staff talking bout how busy there are going to be and that they were going to call a family and cancel as they were not with the breakfast with Santa. They said they had called and left a message so just cancel it. The food was cold and just not as nice as it has been in the past. Very disappointed

A classic pub with a real feel-good vibe, suitable for all occasions with good value for money. We ate breakfast and roasts here which were both great and good value for money. Definitely a safe bet to visit.

Came here as part of the meal deal at the premier inn next door. Fish and chips were delicious - the fish actually had taste! My wife had the lasagne - it was nice ( volcano hot !!). Salad offering on the meal deal was poor - you had to pay a supplement to add anything to the lettuce leaves. Staff were great - would come again

Can't fault the staff, couldn't do enough for you, the starter was brill..the mains not so brill...my partner left some of hers I left a lot of mine,, great idea for the unlimited coffee and soft drinks...larger was a reasonable price..

Not dog friendly as previously mentioned. Barman was dismissive and quite rude and actually laughed when I said we’d booked a table and and mentioned we’d be bringing a dog. We will never frequent a Brewers Fayre establishment again.

We were staying at the Premier Inn next door so this was really convenient for my family. Got food ordered and it came out really quickly, but my wife's food had been forgotten. To be fair, it didn't take that long to arrive, but she had a right monk on after that. Food was really nice... Better than I expected. Real tasty and reasonable portions too. Not sure if it's a bit of a rough area, as I am not local. When we went it was full of rough types all shouting and swearing. Not great when you're trying to take the kids to a family pub for their dinner. Breakfast was absolutely amazing! Loved every bite, and it was much better without all the foul language from the previous night.

Waited a while to get served while members of staff stood at end of bar chatting. Sunday roast meats were sat on hot plates, dried out under heat lamps. Interior is quite nice, big round tables to eat at if a family eating together, seperate area for people just in for drinks.

40 minute wait for an overcooked steak - asked for medium. Flagged to staff who offered to replace it (not after waiting 40 minutes) or refund. Neither accepted. Steak was tasty and eaten so refund wasn't justified. Disappointed but will return - 2nd chance!
