Get there early and the buffet is only fired once the first person orders. Very nostalgic.

You have to order via an app. Everything is self serve. The cost was extortionate. The only thing the staff did was bring us empty glasses. They then have the audacity to ask for tips. A tip is provided for a job well done. Charging a fortune to serve ourselves is not "a job well done" by staff.

Very friendly staff. Glad we came early as pizzas didnt last long the only issue was not enough through the lunch time rush.

Unbelievably shocked at your policy. I ordered and called the restaurant about an allergy (as you are advised to do) and was told by the manager (transcribed it as i was told as I was so shocked) ‘it is our policy not to share allergen information. I can’t share that for our own safety. I can’t tell you what is in all of our food’. She did point me in the direction of their on line allergen information. But I am stunned that this is policy in this day and age. It is appalling. I am really not a complainer but I am shocked at this policy.

Came in at 10 for quick dessert , was told rudely we couldn’t sit in even though it doesn’t close until 11. Ignored me at first when I went in I had to say excuse me multiple times to even get staff over .It was 2 for £12 something but tried to charge me £16 . Waited ages for it to come. No spoons and the size is a bit of a joke considering I’ve sat in before and paid that much usually it’s double the size. Rudeness of the staff really put me off , won’t be coming back.

A Very Rate Visit for a Pizza on Our Grandson's 8th Birthday. He Chose the Venue after Toy Shopping, several miles away. ALL Staff were Efficient, Courteous & Accomodating throughout. Whilst Food was 'Par- Excellence', from Salad Bar through Main to Sweet : We Left NOWT!

We had pizza here last Friday (09/02). Elivia (Olivia?) was very kind and helpful. The manager was also very attentive. We had plenty of food. Thank you.

Very disappointed.Ordered 3 pizzas all thin crust. 2 were lukewarm at best with virtually no cheese. One of the thin crust pizza's came as a deep pan with an apology but at least it was hot as it was the only one served on a pan. Was going to have a bottle of beer but very pricey at £5.39 for a tiny 330ml bottle which is nearly £10/pint so didn't get any drinks.Staff were great but at over £46 for tasteless thin cardboard pizza's we won't be going back.. The pizza's tasted like they were cooked from frozen rather than fresh and as we paid on leaving I asked if they'd stopped the chilli flakes that used to be on all tables to be told they were on a counter on the other side of the restaurant. Very disappointed for a tasteless overpriced meal. Avoid.

It's a bad business. Extortionate prices which they justify with deals to give some semblance of value - but there is no way of just having a pizza and a drink without having your eyes ripped out.

We had the buffet with the kids. They really liked the fact that they could have unlimited pizza, icecream and drinks.

Food was lovely and the servers were very attentive, only slight grumble was the music was a bit too loud and we had to raise our voices a bit to hold a conversation.

Took my youth football team and every one of them enjoyed it, the unlimited salad bar was great to keep them satisfied until their meals arrived, very handy having bottomless drinks too, the ice cream station was a great added touch too. Staff were friendly and attentive would definitely book again.

The food was good as usual. We enjoyed the buffet as it gives you the chance to try different pizzas. The staff were friendly but I was made to feel like I was putting the manager out by asking to sit at a certain type of table based on my physical needs and it seemed to be a problem and this made us feel a little unwelcome

Pizza Hut is freaking amazing. You know what you're getting and it's good.

Ordered pizzas for collection. More expensive than other pizza providers but I do prefer the Pizza Hut ones. So it's an occasional thing only. Usual high quality and standard. Not sure why buying larger pizzas with sides worked out cheaper than the standard size, send to be encouraging either waste or greed, but that was the deal.

Everything was reasonable, however, ordering using the Pizza Hut App is a faff! Why oh why is that supposed to be progress or make life easier?

I didn't like the app as it wasn't intuitive to use. Made the whole experience souless. Staff who did serve were friendly and helpful but overall the whole experience felt cold and disconnected because of the app.

Food was decent, not much atmosphere as was largely empty. Service was adequate.

Pre booked a table (which was wobbly - an issue at many Pizza Huts) Very friendly waitress talked us through the options and came to check how our ordering was going on, 30 seconds later her colleague did the same with significantly less grace in her communication! Salad bar looked a bit ropey, browning lettuce, no carrot (again a regular PH Issue) the mayo, seafood sauce etc looked less than attended to also - a definitive negative….. Pizzas came, they were lovely, some Pizza Huts still manage to mess up but this one didn’t, made up for the poor salad bar. Refillable drinks are crazy expensive and it has to be a special event for just drinks and pizza for 3 cost the far side of £50!

Great food and this chain provides the chilli flakes just like the old days which was great. The downside for me is that the staff service is almost none existent now; its basically all self-serve, we had to order from the app, we had to ask for empty plates to be taken away, couple that with having to get your own drinks etc as per. Now, I don’t have a problem with that per se, but I’m not really sure why the food is so expansive as the experience doesn’t match the hefty price tag. My son loves Pizza Hut so I’ll stump up the cash for it when required, but at almost £30 a pizza, it seems excessive.

So I'll start this with saying I haven't been to a Pizza Hut since I was around 9 and I'm 26 now. My initial thoughts of a Pizza Hut is that it was practically the McDonald's of pizza places (what I'm saying is mediocre at best). Now we did go for the all you can eat pizza which we didn't realise wasn't on but decided to stay anyway and we all grabbed a meal deal each, of £19.99 ; a pizza with a side and a refillable drink and honestly I was pleasantly surprised. The food was boiling hot when it came out, it came out timely, the dough was great - it was very pleasant. The staff were very nice although I feel some of the younger ones lacked a little confidence but that's not the end of the world and there was a little confusion when we ordered two separate orders to our table but they got the meals out swiftly. The meal was just the right amount to fill me ( maybe a tad too much ) and honestly would go again! Pleasantly surprised. Ps was also nice to see the manager curiosity calling :)

Far too expensive to eat out at this restaurant my son asked for student discount which was denied as our meals were already discounted yet 3 pizzas 2 drinks & 1 dessert cost us £107.00. Never again will I eat here&no wonder we were the only people eating there.

Decent standard Pizza Hut, however the car park in the retail park has recently moved from a 3.5 hr limit to 2 hrs, which isn't realistically enough to browse the shops and stop for a meal without getting slapped with a fine, so we won't be going back.

The staff were nice, atmosphere is ok, but sadly the food is poor - pizza below average and salad bar, nothing special, the sauces were nothing special. It has been many years since I ate at Pizza Hut, and I will not be coming back to this chain.

Received a prompt and friendly welcome. Mobile ordering was very convenient, and the drinks were served almost immediately after ordering. The salad bar was very nice.

Was a busy afternoon, but it didn't come across that way with the lad serving us. He was very pleasant and friendly, and although rushed off his feet, still had the time to make sure we were welcome. Food was as expected.

Overall experience was average. There were some pros and some cons to our visit. Pros - young lad who served us was polite and friendly. The salad bar was well stocked. Pizza was nice and the cheesy bites were lovely. Cons - we were asked upon ordering on an online app if we would like to tip. For what exactly? We ordered ourselves online. It said on the app our drinks would be brought to us. They weren’t. After waiting a long time I asked about our deserts and they had clearly forgotten about them. I’m not sure any of it warrants a tip. We have had other decent visits here, however, overall it is your average Pizza Hut.

Food and service was excellent and to my liking the service was very fast and food was there very quickly.

Came here for a different Sunday lunch had the mega buffet including drinks and Ice cream along with the pizza pasta and salad bar Warm friendly welcome and order taken quickly Loads of hot tasty pizza to choose from and was Spot on Restaurant was busy and only a few staff on but working very hard keeping everything topped up and cleaning the ice cream station every few minutes Well done We will definitely be back

My son ordered a pizza for collection… the pizza was wrong. I had to drive a 12 mile trip to get the correct pizza. manager offensive

Lovely experience as our Waiter, Kieran was so attentive. Not over whelming but friendly and nice to be around. Just a shame there are no sugared drinks on the bottomless soft drinks as one of our party has an intolerance to sweetener. Thanks Kieran

AN AFFRONT TO DECENT DINING Upon entering this "restaurant", the first thing we were told by a casually-dressed man posing as a manager was, "We don't take cash mind, it's card only" - Not the best of welcomes, to be fair. Unhindered by this, we gathered around our table only to be then told that table service "isn't done" any more. Get this, we had to order our meals online, as if we were ordering from Just Eat. Furthermore, we had to pay online before anything was even prepped, meaning there was no recourse if/when we suffered a bad meal. Amazingly, the app payment process asked if we'd like to TIP THE STAFF. Given that we hadn't been served by anyone up until then, it was difficult to reward anyone for anything! God help anyone that doesn't have a smart phone or is partially-sighted. The combination of scruffy menus strewn across the table and a mesmerising array of meal options was headache-inducing. No table service meant we didn't actually speak with a waiter or waitress until empty glasses were brought and we had to POUR OUR OWN soft drinks. Self-service salad is par for the course but surely the bowls couldn't be any smaller. Little room for more than a bit of coleslaw and a few cherry tomatoes. Friends and family were literally HALF WAY THROUGH their pizzas by the time mine arrived, same with my wife. No care, no passion, no interest, no presentation, no flavour, no service. (No, I'm fibbing. I was asked by a waitress if I was enjoying my pizza when it still hadn't arrived) After paying another £3.99 for not a handful of ice-cream served in something even smaller than the salad bowls, I'd had enough. Upon leaving, there was no-one to even thank us. Those of my group that left last may have had somehting muttered their way, but I left without ANY INTERACTION from staff or the kid posing as "manager". It was insulting to think that a professional organisation would even CONSIDER treating fellow human beings like this. "Come in, sit down, order through your phone, we'll bring your "meal" when it's ready, pour your own drink, you don't need a goodbye or a thank you when you leave as you've already paid an hour ago" An absolute insult to modern dining, let's hope othe places don't follow the same route in the name of "efficiency".

Me and my partner went for the first time and it was amazing. Bloke named Ian greeted us straight away and showed us where to sit and what to expect. Very friendly guy! He and a girl named Taylor I believe give me and Jade the best first time at pizza hut. Thanks! And the food was great aswell 👌

another visit to this pizza hut with similar family, so we where a bit apprehensive. this time we found the experience so much better, far quicker ,far more organised we all opted fore the meal deal which is good value only slight negatives are 1 it was a bit chilly in the restaurant 2 they no longer take cash

we where quite a large party 9 of us in total , pizza hut have some good meal deals on with saring pizza,s but it can get a bit confusing to work out what you want to order. they don,t have starters they have sides that come with the main meals, the choice of sweets is a bit underwelming and pricy for what they are. we had a selection of differant pizza,s but oddly they had no chicken so that complicatedit a bit more. the sweets that we did order seemed to take a long time to arrive and 2 peoples arrived after everyone else had finnished. this was ponted out and an amendement was made to the bill. so to sum up pizza,s are great ,sides are good ,sweets not so good

Had a lovely meal here in July! Great service and gluten-free pizza. Would especially recommend for people following a gluten free diet as the pizza base was delicious!

I attended here last Monday with friends to take advantage of the Eat Out to Help Out Scheme. As you can imagine it was extremely busy. Despite this we queues outside and the manager came out to speak to every personally. We were seated a short time later and ordered our feast. The food came quickly and was absolutely lovely. It was so filling I had to take some home. I will definitely be back. The manager was lovely and took the time to chat despite being run off her feet

I visited Tuesday evening at 5pm with my son and just want to say how comfortable the whole process was made for us... working in the hospitality industry myself I know how hard things are at the moment and just want to say how friendly the duty manager and staff were.... it’s my little boys favourite place and I can’t say I’d argue next time he asks to go.... :)

We visited this restaurant tonight for my daughters birthday. Whilst the food was ok, the restaurant was absolutely freezing! All the people eating there had coats on, others even kept hats on! Whilst the food was ok, it went cold very quickly which was a shame 😏

In the last 2 years me and my family have visited Pizza Hut Durham at least once a month, the food the first year was really good value for money and tasteful, however over the past 6 months it has deteriorated gradually so much so our monthly visit has stopped, the salad is stale and all food under cooked. However I always find staff friendly and helpful

We visited Pizza Hut on the 12th September 2019. We ordered our food but mid-way through our meal I found an issue with my meal. I spoke with our waitress and the manager who handled the situation extremely efficiently and professionally. A credit to Pizza Hut.

Me and 2 kids visited, more for them, than me. They love being able to serve themselves salad and ice cream!! They got a big boss meal deal - £7.99 for a main, side, salad, ice cream and unlimited drinks, quite a good price. I wasn’t too hungry so asked if I could have one too. Yes but we’ll charge you £2 more, apparently they think adults will consume loads more ice cream and pop!! Kids ordered chicken & chips and the chips are the “best ever”, far better than maccy d’s. The chicken was ok but wasn’t eaten. The other nephew ordered lasagne and although we were warned it was hot, they failed to say it was like an inferno! We’d finidhed our meals by the time it had cooled enough to eat. My pizza was lovely and just big enough to fill a hole. Salad is plentiful and there’s a wide selection of soft drinks, which can be refilled. The service was fab with friendly, pleasant staff and we were offered gluten free menus, as we arrived. This is great for kids but the place look a bit “tired” and could maybe do with a freshen up. We’ll definitely return as the boys love it, thanks

Dropped in for lunch with Diane, we both opted for the buffet and declared the salad, pasta and pizza all delicious (plentiful also since it's serve yourself!). Only - slight - gripe is the "bottomless" drink, at £2.85 a real rip-off as nobody could drink enough to get value-for-money! I chose the free tap water. A bonus was the half price next time voucher on our receipt which ensures a revisit soon.

Had a birthday celebration here. Food was good and they happily did me a cheeseless pizza. Good value with our tastecard. Sudan fountain didn't work properly. No added flavours. Service was relatively quick and staff friendly enough. Overall very good.

Food is great here. We enjoy the choice on offer and it’s great that they offer meerkat meals. Family friendly too. Only downside is that it’s always chilly - too much air conditioning at any time of the year. Can’t fault the service or food though.

Popped in here on a Saturday for a late lunch. 4 of us seated and order taken quickly. Standard Pizza Hut food - tasty ! We did have to ask a few times for the bill but didn't mind this so much as we were chatting and finishing our drinks.

Me my husband and his 16 year old brother popped in for lunch today. I’m 4 months pregnant and desperately needed some spice on my pizza so ordered extra jalapeños. When the pizza arrived they weren’t on. We notified the waitress only so we weren’t charged for them. When she came back she completely apologised and had put a new pizza with jalapeños on to take home with us!! This is amazing service all we wanted was for them to remove the extras from the bill but to get a free pizza is unbelievably kind! Thank you sooo much Pizza Hut my baby was very thankful later that night!

The staff were lovely! Restaurant was immaculately clean. Rest of the family thoroughly enjoyed their pizza buffet, unfortunately the pasta was only just warm when I got back to the table and was stone cold by the time I finished. Disappointing...

Visited last night and couldn’t believe how slow the service was. We had to ask twice if we could order and three times for the bill. Order was also delivered wrong. No help from staff at all. Won’t be returning.

We went as a family for the Pizza buffet, however only 4 slices of pizzas available and the rest empty pans, we ate salad, more salad and even less pizza available, Eventually the Pizza came out and I mean literally 2!!

Ordered main course came but had eaten it before side order came then it was freezing cold very disappointed

Went for lunch and we had the buffet which cost £6.99 per person and £2.85 for refillable soft drinks which is on til 3pm. There was a selection of different pizzas, pasta and sauce and a good selection of salad. The staff were very helpful and friendly. The only downside today was there was no garlic bread. My husband waited ages at the pizza station but the chef was no where to be seen. A member of staff went to look for him and when he eventually returned he put an already cooked pizza back in the oven after having put garlic on. It took about 15 minutes. The chef didn't apologise. The staff were very apologetic for lengthy wait.

6 of us rocked up and ti looked busy, got served straight away in and out within half an hour, just what we needed. Food was pizza just as expected. Staff were helpful and friendly.

We decided to pop in for the lunchtime buffet as had been to the one in Darlington previously and is priced at a very reasonable £6.99 for pizza and access to the salad bar. We were told upon arrival that they don't offer Gluten free pizza at lunchtime and we'd have to buy a full price pizza each if that's what we wanted. We advised that we had been offered GF at Darlington but the manager said that they shouldn't have done it and told us again we'd have to pay full price. When will companies like this realise that the more the discriminate the more people will look at an alternative, they're plenty of places out there where we'd not be asked to pay more for the same product. We'll definitely never grace them with or presence or money again.

I asked my daughter what she fancied for dinner and her reply was Pizza please. Ok fair enough.

Took the kids for lunch on the Buffett special, was busy but the staff were very accommodating and got us a table after a short wait. Plenty of pizza on offer and was replaced straight away. Salad bar was good as well.

Arrived welcomed and then shown to a table "waited 15min watching 6 staff pass the table was going to see how long staff noticed customers with out food or drink but decided to walk to serving area and asked to be served" friendly and apologetic staff who showed us to the table initially and order placed for starters and mains . Noted cream soda is fab

Sin Gluten bases libres disponibles con cualquier. Sólo disponible en tamaño pequeño, pero bueno para los individuos. En la cara, pero sólo los sitios que realmente no gluten. Patatas fritas cocinadas en la novia, pero el mismo aceite que el gluten, por desgracia. El personal era agradable. Por la noche, aparcamiento normalmente es estupenda también. Las bases han cambiado recientemente y están muy bien!

We went to Pizza Hut for my grandsons birthday. He has to be dairy free and they accommodated his needs by checking the ingredients on the menu and making a pizza without cheese! He loved it! I feel the pizzas aren't as good value as they used to be, the toppings have reduced and scattered across the pizza to look more than there is. The ice cream factory wasn't working much to the dismay of my granddaughter.. I think my title for the review says it all food average, the staff were great and 'made' it a good evening

Well firstly long wait to be served, food is expensive for the poor quality you get and it was cold so we boxed it up and took it home to the microwave! Even then it tasted so bad most went in the bin. We didn't complain at the time as just stopped here towards the end of a long journey and were tired so last thing we wanted was to kick up a fuss.

We were in the Durham area and looked up if there were any Pizza Hut Delivery takeaway outlets- there weren’t but the restaurant on the retail park does takeaways.We’d received an email offer earlier in the week but officially it was listed as their Delivery outlets- happily they said they would offer it on this occasion.We were promptly and efficiently served and the quality of the food was really good.

We had been in Durham for the day and fancied some food on the way home.Stopped by about 5pm on a Saturday.A lot quieter than we expected, so got a table straight away.Great pizza, really enjoyed it and the salad bar.Will be back.

Not been to a Pizza Hut for many years. Was staying close by and just saw the sign and thought ideal for a quick snack.Greeted well at reception by a friendly lady who offered me a choice of seating. She offered me the menu and very gently tried the upsell of starters which I accepted.Main course was a lovely well cooked pizza with plenty salad bar included in the price. Fancied a beer so she offered me their deal of 2 for £6.00 which I also accepted.Quick friendly service by Andy who asked if everything was OK three times which it was and I left with a bill of £ 16.99 and a full stomach.Thoroughly enjoyed my first experience of a Pizza Hut in say 5 years but I will be back again soon.If this is the standard Pizza Hut train their staff to then they should do well.

come here quite often and the service is always great, but tonight a waitress called Emma was extremely helpful and helped me and my friend figure out what would be the cheapest (either a deal or student discount). She was very friendly and went out of her way to make sure everything was right for us! Will definitely recommend this Pizza Hut to everyone I know! Everyone is friendly and always have a smile on their face!

Service was so friendly. There was a mix up in that our pizzas came whilst we were eating our mains. Without asking it was arranged fresh would be made and we were given the other pizzas in the box to take home. The changing table in the toilet was too high and had to stand on tiptoes.

Crappy food, greasy and tasteless.Their pizzas are Painful to eat, even hungry.Pizza Hut, the "restaurant" where one does eat only once.Yuck !

Buffet food was good, service was good. Music was so loud it was a struggle to have a conversation and it spoiled the meal.

Seated straight away by a friendly waitress who showed us the menu and explained about drinks and the salad bar. The table and floor were spotless a rarity in a fast food place especially at 2pm ish. The menu though not a huge variety was pretty good, something for everyone BUT VERY expensive, £10 for plain old mac & cheese or lasagne for 1 person in a fast food place with no sides or anything is extreme. The salad bar has a good variety of things BUT the bowls provided were ALL dirty. So we just ordered 2 pizzas between the 3 of us with a portion of onion rings and 1 drink each the bill came to just over £40. We were a little dissapointed that we could see our food waiting to be brought over but no one did for at least 10mins and it wasn't particularly busy. In fairness it was still warm when we got it just not for very long. Overall the pizzas were nice and they did bring out a box for us to take any left overs home, but £40 for a quick bite to eat is excessive.

Popular, busy place, but well organised and good staff ensure that everything goes well.Value is good, and food is too.Will be back in the Summer holidays.

Visit bank holiday Monday with my daughter and husband. Table was wet ( thankfully from being cleaned ) but the floor and seats were filthy, I had to dry the table myself and clean off the seats to sit down. We ordered share starters which were lovely and the salad options were fresh. The pizza we ordered was a meat feast and it was bland. Very tasteless. We had to ask for chilli flakes just to give it some flavour, pizza was £20 alone! We didn't complain but didn't leave a tip. Doubt we will return any time soon.

My partner came here to get the £10 cheesy bites pizza that you have advertised everywhere. To be charged £18 with no seasoning as your staff didn't have a clue about it. He got told that you don't offer discounts on takeaway!!! Yet you clearly have it advertised. Overpriced, clueless staff that need training. Go to papa John's you get a better pizza and better service

Popped into this restaurant after shopping. Lovely food and excellent service. Served by a young waitress called Emily who was lovely. Very efficient and friendly and nothing was too much trouble. Would recommend, great atmosphere, great food, great service 5*****!

We visited for lunch as a group of mixed ages to celebrate a 9th birthday. The service was courteous and efficient and the food was excellent. Really enjoyed the visit.
