This little treasure is a must visit, the food and service spot on. You are not rushed between courses. The staff are attentive and polite

We booked Due Dieci for for our Christmas night this year after having a relatively fun night last year (mind I have NEVER seen so many Brussel sprouts in my entire life...they must have been on offer somewhere) HOWEVER several weeks after booking we received an email advising us that due to lack of take-up, that night (21st December) was being pulled from their events calendar and that we could have the 15th instead and they would give us a small discount for doing so! If we had wanted a night out on the 15th, we would have booked that night in the first place but as the 21st was the only night we could all get together, the 15th was no good so I asked for a refund and was told a cheque would be drawn up! I pointed out that as we were now going to have to look elsewhere and make an immediate booking, we wanted cash refund which was eventually agreed to. Interesting that when it was collected no apology for any inconvenience was forthcoming! We did manage to locate another venue for our night out and have duly booked it. Due Dieci have lost our custom as they could never be trusted in future not to do the same thing, leaving us high and dry a few weeks before Christmas. Very poor show!

Should have known from the phone call to book, girl had no idea on phone!! We were met and shown to our table (only 2 other tables being used). We waited at the carvery, the chef was talking to people at tables and ignored us, a waitress came and said how the chef likes to talk to people, she could go and get him, but by that time he would probably be back!!! A guy from kitchen came and carved for us. The vegetables were cold. When we told the waitress this, she replied yes sometimes when the lids are left off they get cold! (Great ay!!) The toothless chef then came to apologise for the cold vegetables, calling his staff for not being good enough. Disgusting. And one waitress was playing on her mobile phone!!!!

We have been several times and had a big family celebration (35 people) there last year - the service was exceptional. The food is excellent, particularly the sunday carvery and our kids love the pizza/pasta option. Extremely good value for money and the staff are great with kids. The only drawbacks are that sometimes there aren't that many other customers so it can lack atmosphere and it is only open on weekends. Otherwise it is one of the best family restaurants in Newcastle.

We have been going here for some time as my husband can get gluten free pasta & sometimes gluten free pizza. Both my husband & daughter think the mussels are fab. They have various deals on different nights, for example a steak night, buffet night & they do sunday lunches. Happy hour is until 7pm most days I think. Worth giving it a try I think

have been going to due dieci for a while now. never had a bad meal yet. the food, the service and the atmosphere are all great. Wish sometimes it was a bit busier. Can honestly say that its one of the best Italian restaurants in the North east.

This was a great place to come to but things change.Such a shame for a restaurant with no other local competiton. The food is very good but the new management let the place down by making you feel very uncomfortable, never any service check back and making you feel like your interrupting something. We tried on a couple of occasions again recently but left feeling the same. Has potential with different staff I guess.

They don't serve who comes first and although I was waiting first, the lady left me and greeted someone who just entered the shop and seems to know them and served them first. very Unprofessional.
