Discrimination against people who want to use cash. Disgusting behavior. You are taking us into enslavement. Cash is king.

Honestly....the food was amazing!! Takeaway nachos, lasagne, chips and salad, freshly cooked, good quality mince (not sawdust 😂), and really tasty. They delivered on time, and it was a good price. Im over the moon, and would 100% recommend. Home cooked food, made with effort and care. Lovely.

Been going to the duck pond cafe, within Ellington caravan park for around 2 years now and can honestly say as a family we've never had a bad meal. Breakfast, dinner, tea or supper there is always something for everyone, all the staff are friendly and nothing is a problem to them. Everything is value for money and tastes superb and with regards to Joe from Bedlington or is it Newcastle's comments there is some nice places to eat in the surrounding area but not in Lynemouth.

visit the duck pond café whenever around the area and always find the food consistently excellent value for money, tasty, and well cooked. I ordered corned beef pie salad and chips and my husband had lasagne salad and chips, both had a pot of tea and came to £9...if thats not value for money these days i dont know what is. I don't give praise away easily as im very fussy about where and what i eat, but even more so where food/hygiene is concerned, but we honestly cant fault the food, cleanliness or service. I dont understand a previous comment regarding the cleanliness ? and the lady who owns the café ? as we have always found she goes out of her way to be polite and friendly ? and the café very clean Will definitely return again :) I don't understand the

Visited this lovely little café the other day and the food and service was amazing. The lady who runs it is lovely and goes above and beyond to make you feel welcome and to accommodate your wishes. Everything is home cooked and tastes lovely. Myself and my family would definitely go back again and the meat cooking away for the sunday smelt divine.

I agree with second review the center at LYNMOUTH is much tastier and much better value, although the two male staff at the duckpond cafe where very polite and attempted to make conversation, the blond woman should brush up on her customer service skills, (not much of a clue in dealing with the public) The chef must have fantastic knife skills as the meat was paper thin unless it was bought in,the decor was not exactly tasteful, and it did not look very clean, I would rather spend my hard earned money at a proper cafe not some tin pot half hearted attempt at a cafe. We wont be back

Very good value for money. I can assure you the meat is not 'bought in' it is all cooked freshly. Vegetables are all freshly prepared and Yorkshire puddings are homemade. A lot of effort and time is put into these Sunday lunches. Worth a visit and staff are lovely. :)

This place is very basic but the food was fine. We had sunday dinner and all the veg was cooked perfectly. we had the chicken which was nice but to be honest the beef didnt look home cooked it looked like it had been bought in slices so passed on that one. The yorkshire puddings were home made. The pork also didnt look home cooked and looked bought in which I dont like. The desserts were all homemade and very nice and have to say the staff were all very pleasant and helpful. Whether we would go back is another matter as the Lynemouth resource centre is much better value in my opinion and the meat delicious but give it a go as very reasonable for the price.

We haven't been to The Jackdaw because our booking for April 2025 isn't being honoured we found out this morning. See below. In December 2024 we booked our meal for a Saturday night in April 2025 at The Jackdaw. It was for my 70th birthday and we chose The Jackdaw as we'd eaten there before and had lovely meals. Today I received a call from Gillian, one of the owners, to say that they had a large party that night and so they couldn't accommodate us at the time we booked.Gillian asked if we could either go the night before or for Sunday lunch. We were travelling up to Warkworth on the Friday and didn't want to rush our journey and we may well eat out on the journey up. We had other plans for the Sunday so I said no to these options. I was amazed that we were being told they wouldn't honour our booking as we had clearly booked our meal before this large party. Gillian said she would ring me back. Rupert, the other owner, called back and explained about moving furniture around for the large party and how it was for someone who'd had their 50th birthday there and now wanted their 70th birthday there. He said couldn't we eat later as they served until 9 o'clock. I was astonished at this to be honest. We didn't want to eat later than the time we booked, and possibly be on our own at that time of night in the restaurant. Rupert did apologise but that doesn't make up for the fact they haven't honoured our booking. I am left feeling really disappointed and upset. This is not what I would have expected having booked the table in December. Terrible customer service in my view.

After the rain we received while we visited the camp, it is pleasant to enter this warm space and have something hot and visit the museum once dry and reconstituted.

A fantastic pub with stunning views over Northumberland! We stopped in for a pint and loved how warm and welcoming it was inside. A great spot to soak up the scenery and enjoy a drink. Would love to return!
