Amazing service at DSW at always, food was outstanding - always served very quickly with amazing service to accompany it. We were sat in the restaurant area long after anyone else and we were made to feel comfortable and not rushed at all in terms of leaving. Thanks to Sam especially!

Really nice place. Stopped off for lunch by chance. They were still serving the brunch menu. Food was excellent. I had the chorizo and Avocado toast and my vegetarian daughter opted for the Avocado and kimchi toast. Both dishes were very good. Nice venue with a large bar area.

After having a pleasant dining experience here in 2022, we thought to return and take our friends who were visiting the city to DSW for dinner. We left embarrassed and it was arguably my worst dining experience in Manchester after living in the city for 5 years. Where to even begin ? By 8pm they had told us that there was no pizza dough left and we had to change our meal plans. We ordered sourdough and balsamic and they bought out basically a burnt hovis loaf. How any respectable restaurant brings this out under the name of sourdough is shocking. The caesar salad main was another laughable meal, missing key ingredients and was at the same level ( if not worse ) than a supermarket caesar salad packet . The staff were unwelcoming and uninterested, and just an overall unpleasant experience.

Went here on the January 50% off deal as looked at the online menu and it looked nice. However, my fault, the menu on the 50% deal was completely different and much smaller, which I hadn't seen online. Arrived with friends on a bitterly cold night and walked through to the restaurant, which was absolutely freezing, not a great start. Very quiet , but sat down, then we were given the menu, which as I said wasnt the normal menu that was online. Staff were not really friendly, none of us fancied the menu, plus expensive drinks...£11 for a glass of wine. We decided to leave at that point and go somewhere with a better menu, more welcoming and warmer. Wouldn't return, much better places to eat in Manchester

The food was terrible. Had the buffalo chicken burger that was basically three bland chicken nuggets on the tiniest burger. Luckily it was the 50% off food for January as I'd have hated to pay £17 quid for it Service was very apathetic. Left us waiting ages. Nice space... maybe stick to drinks if you're going.

The first time I went here I absolutely loved it and so I recommended here tonight. However it was not the same experience. Very disappointing food, almost too rich to eat. The brie bites were not bites to say the least and not an easy eat. Service was nowhere to be found. Unfortunately, floor staff did not stay near the restaurant leading to slow service. Having worked in hospitality I do always try take an understanding stance however it took a while to get the bill and to pay just adding to overall frustration. It was also off putting that on a ledge behind our heads were stacked plates from dirty tables alongside trays of dirty glasses. Would probably recommend going for drinks as the atmosphere was great however food did not live up to standard.

Absolute clown show, do not book Update: Raised the issue at the front desk and they got defensive and were more concerned with going through their excuses than giving an apology. Hotel: Loud alarm going off at 5am in big atrium space outside rooms for at least 30mins (maybe closer to an hour in the end) NO ONE accessible on any numbers within the whole building. The fact no one is around to sort something out is shocking, had this been an emergency god knows then Food: Got order wrong, had to request change. Then got a burnt order. Was very hungry at the time so just left it. Processed burger, not far off a burger van quality

We paid £12 for this margarita.. a joke! It tasted horrendous and the girl at the bar said that’s how it’s served and got so annoyed when I complained. The place is so overpriced, massive queues to get drinks and service is terrible. I won’t be going back.

Not an exaggeration when i saw the food at any fast food or chicken place is miles better than this rubbish. Considering it was a xmas dinner, pre booked, table on time and the kitchen knew exactly what we ordered the service took three times as long as it should have, food came out luke warm or cold. Chicken 'burger' was actually unseasoned strips of chicken goujons for some people with a doorstop of a tomato wedge. When the food and the service is so bad the staff apologies unprompted. Avoid this mess of a place.

Went for brunch today and was surprised by the surliness of 2 /3 people who we interacted with. Zero smiles , zero warmth and zero interest in their customers. I chose the Little Ducie - absolutely shocking presentation and lacking in any kind of skill. I was served up a plate swimming on baked beans with a slice of bread covering an egg and a slice of bacon . I left the barely warm sausage . Manchester is a city full of great places to brunch , this isn’t one do them. The espresso martini was nice though .

Really nice space but the service was absolutely terrible. We were seated and pretty much left to our own devices, I had to find a member of staff after 20mins of waiting to get them to take our order. The food was pretty bland - I had one of the pinzas and it was super dry. The cauliflower wings were okay, could have done with more seasoning. My mates had the burgers and they were pretty pleased. All in all, pretty bog standard, which would have been fine had the service not been abysmal.

Stayed one night in this spacious studio apartment, my daughter said it smelt like her student accommodation (of cooking) but I couldn’t smell anything. Halloumi was lovely, chips were good, both were enough for 3 or 4 people in a takeaway box. Breakfast was good but service slow.

I highly recommend this Apart hotel, Restaurant, Bar and Work Space. The Studio Apartment I stayed in was really well appointed. It is superbly located and the F&B offer is excellent. Breakfast is good too.

Such a shame. Attended on Saturday evening. The place was grossly understaffed. The poor service team could not cope. The sorry situation was that the restaurant appeared to only have a few tables occupied. However, I understand there was a private function in a separate room. Food was all preordered due to our party being for 12 covers. Despite being preordered certain items did not arrive, majority was served cold & dry due to resting for so long on the passe. I would not recommend this venue.

Found a gem in the middle of the hustle bussle. As a solo traveller you can get people areas and own space as much as you need.

Excellent appt we had for 2 nights, spacious with facilities allowing us to have the options for eating. Position was great for our agenda although Manchester is quite large and areas may require more travel than we needed. Be aware bar shuts at 11 and there are no nearby late bars.

Do not expect to get any food even slightly resembling the lead photos. Also expect chicken that tastes like it has been cooked from frozen. The worst food I have ever eaten. I say eaten, left half of it. Pity as nice venue that is let down by standards of food and service.

Took over 20 minutes to get a drink and there was 4 people in the queue. One bartender trying to make drinks for all the tables in the restaurant and serve those in the bar. Really poorly managed. I’d go elsewhere

This was the worst brunch I've had in 5 years in Manchester. The menu app was faulty and didn't distinguish what was vegan for my friend. I got a physical menu from the bar and this menu had different items and stated that their poached eggs were vegan??? The staff were actually nice but the service as whole as awful because it made ordering food so difficult. I had the mushrooms on toast. My friends got the pancakes and the full English. The mushrooms were so tasteless, I took two bites of the food and left the rest (i never normally leave food). My friends said their food was pretty bad too. It's hard to mess up brunch food and it's a shame because it's a gorgeous building and has a good vibe.

Kevin couldn’t have been more helpful, and to add on top of that, the breakfast made by Ross was one of the best we have had. What a great experience Thank you

Intetesting place, vibrant, spacious, stylish

Staff were friendly but the service is slow. Portions are small for the price, quality isn't great, menu is unimaginative, and you will have to pay 10% service charge whether you like or not (no warning given though). We were served sourdough instead of rosemary focaccia and no explanation was given, half frozen food served, also ingredients missing, and we were overcharged at the end. Definitely the optics seem to be all that's important in this place, so perhaps decent for drinks but definitely we do not recommend eating anything there.

Update 15/10/24: I tried Ducie again at lunchtime (yes, I'm a mug) and ordered a small plate. I was obviously still waiting after 20 minutes, so went back to the bar to ask if they could check on it. They came back and said, sheepishly, it was being made - obviously I had to ask to find out, no-one was going to come to me to explain the delay. I asked how long and they said they didn't know. I got a refund. So this isn't criticism of the food, it's criticism of lack of information - again - from Ducie. I've been to places where as you order they say, "are you OK with a 30-minute wait?" - normal to ask, right? Not Ducie though. In a nutshell, if you aren't on a lunchbreak and have time to kill, and you're not hungry.. and you're patient then Ducie may suit you. Otherwise, no. ---------------------------------- Second time I've been here for lunch and staff remain clueless as to who to give dishes to. Sat waiting for one dish, a member of staff with a plate that looked like it was for me looked around and just gave a large table, who already had dishes on their table, the dish. The guy on the table looked perplexed but accepted. Another member of staff said their app wasn't working for the tables outside on the terrace. Truly awful. Made a complaint and got my cash back, which was good of them. But trust me, if you're looking for a lunchtime meal while at work, don't come here.

We had our wedding breakfast and party at Ducie and absolutely loved it! Matilda was absolutely brilliant helping us organise the day. We were going for a really low key relaxed day, but with a lot of guests at night. Matilda made sure we weren't stressing about anything we didn't need to, and all the staff made us feel really relaxed and welcome. Thanks guys! Can't wait to come back for a drink sometime soon. Sorry I thought I had left a comment... I found the food nice and the person serving was friendly, but the service was slow and inattentive considering how quiet it was. I don’t think it’s a bad place, but lacks identity/atmosphere. I rate a lot of places and probably strict on marking. 5 are special places and 4 ones I really enjoyed. I would give you 3.5 but not an option. Happy to send further details to email.

Unfortunately the staff were far too busy to check in with us. Had to remind twice about drinks after waiting over 20 minutes. Felt forgotten and struggled for help. We really aren't the most demanding table by any means. Felt extremely let down. Ran out of roast beef at 2pm, overall left feeling short changed especially with a 10% service charge when we couldn't get service!

Came for a roast at the weekend and was really disappointed. Firstly all three roasts came out cold so they swapped them out for us. Then when they came back warmer everything was so bland, the chicken was really overcooked and dry at the same time as being very pale which was odd and everything else was pretty tasteless and didn't have any seasoning particularly the cabbage and soggy roast potatoes. Came here for a roast last year and it was really great so don't know what has happened. Felt like a complete waste of money which is so frustrating when it's not cheap to eat out - £100 for three of us without any alcohol. There are many other places in town to get a roast for a similar price but 10x the quality. The staff overall all seemed a bit miserable - can't blame them to be honest!

Really bad service - staff were not attentive at all (even with drinks) and service was slow. It's a shame - I had heard that the restaurant had gone downhill, but as we had the booking we went ahead, but it's definitely not somewhere I would either recommend or return to now unfortunately.

Having walked across Manchester on a fire ds recommendation we were looking forward to breakfast on our anniversary weekend away. I ordered a full breakfast and my wife ordered ham and cheese toasted sandwich which was meant to come on a nice focaccia bread. My breakfast was stone cold, I sent it back, it came back cold a second time, I sent it back and they remade the whole breakfast which came cold a third time. I could see the chef laughing and sniggering and looking over at me. But it was cold. It also came back with no hash brown in the plate. My wife's sandwich was on basic white bread not focaccia and they used streaky bacon instead of ham. It wasn't the sandwich she had ordered. We ate 15 minutes apart and in silence because I was so angry at the situation. They didn't care or try to explain the situation. Just left us sitting at eating separately. We left without a other word being spoken by a staff member. Nice building, but wouldn't recommend food there. Ruined a nice morning for us.

Came for breakfast, very disappointed! Full breakfast ordered, beans were ice cold, replaced by luke warm beans….we complained a second time, it was then replaced with a ‘new’ full breakfast which was mediocre, had less items on than the first breakfast and yes you guessed it…. still not hot!! And it took another 15-20 mins to arrive… in an empty restaurant! Croquet monsier also ordered, advertised with rosemary focaccia… just normal thin white bread was given, fatty bacon instead of ham, and the bottom slice of bread didn’t even seem toasted just soggy and greasy….so overall Very very disappointing… almost £40 for breakfast for two people we were expecting much more especially after visiting 2 years ago and it being great… we will not revisit

Hosted in the mini cini room, staff was really nice and helpful and the room was awesome! Could probably use some air conditioning though as it got very warm.. but that is my 1 and only criticism.

We hosted a private corporate event at Ducie Street Warehouse and the experience was great start to finish. Matilda was extremely helpful in planning the event and Sam, Hannah & Zainab were brilliant working the event in the evening. Nothing was too much trouble and we were fully taken care of. Food was great and we had fab feedback. I would definitely use this space again for events in the future!

Was there Sunday breakfast. Had to wait a long time for someone to come and give us a table. The excessive waiting continued throughout the experience. Had to wait more than 30 minutes for the food and coffee. But coffee arrived long after food was finished. I think they did not have enough staff. There was one waiter called Lucas, who was kind and friendly and bent backwards to make it all good. I am grateful to him.

Well looked after for a group (of 25) breakfast ahead of a day at the races. Seamless pre-event planning and ordering process and on the day, everything ran on time for us. Great space for such an event and feedback was very good on the various breakfast dishes we ordered. We'll be back. Thank you.

I used to frequent this place for their excellent Sunday Roast, but unfortunately, my recent visit was a huge disappointment. They no longer offer the roast, so I opted for breakfast instead. While the portion was generous, the food was very basic—more like what you'd expect from a standard pub, nothing special. To make matters worse, they added the service charge twice, 10% plus another 10% on the bill. We refused to pay it, considering how underwhelming our meal was. My partner had a sandwich, and the bread was terrible. I used to love this place, but after this awful experience, I won’t be returning.

Had brunch at the Ducie Street Warehouse when I was staying at the hotel. Smoked salmon and egg toast. It was delicious! The staff was friendly.

What a stunning place, really good atmosphere in a lux New York-esque setting; just a shame the food and service didn’t work. decent-ish food - burgers pretty low standard and fries cold, everything relatively low effort and pizzas tasted and felt like you could do them at home; service really low - pretty much felt as though we were forgotten about for the whole night, bigger groups required to do a pre-order yet they missed 5 items of our order which were disappointing - really was such a shame as the overall feel of the restaurant is quite a lux and very ‘city’ Esque; extreme lack of communication amongst staff which meant we were waiting to get the bill for 50+ minutes - I do think a more concise menu and quality food would be a better model rather than new items regularly; decent drinks with a wide range of cocktails felt like the only thing holding the place together.

Food was stunning. I had the garlic mushrooms on toast which sounds basic but it was incredible. Kevin was the best and kept the drinks flowing for us with a smile every moment.

What can I say? I ate because I was hungry. We came for the Saturday disco brunch and I ordered chicken pancakes. The chicken was the exact opposite of what I wanted, it was black and dry and the pancakes were stuck together like they had been microwaved. I appreciated the staff, especially Indie, great personality plus the bottomless drink were enjoyable. .The margaritas were served in rock glasses instead of the proper stemware.

I was very disappointed by food and service on my visit to this place on a Sunday lunchtime. My friends ordered the chicken subs,cehich were lacking meat content and appeared to be mostly bread. My full English was luke-warm and as a result, the bacon and the toast was tough to eat. Another irritating issue was trying to get a member of staff to assist in getting condiments, like salt and pepper, sauces, etc. We also had to collect our own drinks from the bar area because they'd been sat there for 10+ minutes. It was not even busy... Sorry, but this place was overly expensive and really not worth it.

I do like it here, have for years. The bar and food is great and there is plenty going on good vibe and music. Gooeys is divine and the gym too, kinda miss the old coffee bar but think the new set up probably works better for the hotel.

Stayed for two nights in a premium studio apartment. Wow it was mega. The decor, room size were amazing. The warehouse itself is stunning and they've really spent some money on the place. It has a great trendy vibe, wood panelled walls, plants, craft beers, djs, bar, terrace, gym...you name it they've got it. I would definitely recommend and stay again.

I think they must employ the world's most laid-back staff 🤣 We went for a drink on the terrace on Monday afternoon, nowhere near peak time. The staff come out with drinks for people, and then just saunter (and I mean really slowly) back past table after table of dirty glasses and plates - with the empty tray in hand that they just used to serve the drinks with 🤣🤣 Guys....dirty plates and glasses, empty tray. Put two and two together here! In fairness, eventually, after about half an hour one of the tables in the picture was cleared, but not cleaned - and remember this is a place that serves food as well as drinks, some tables were filthy. We actually chose the table we sat at as it was one of the few clean ones out on the terrace. We stayed there over an hour and there wasn't a cloth or spray in sight, they just don't seem to care. Also got served a prosecco when asked for a cava, we thought the guy has misheard or misremembered but it turned out he just thought they were similar so went for that instead (they're not that similar really). Such a shame as it's in a great location, but every time I've been in here it's like this, and I live round the corner so I've been a lot. They seem to do OK when it's a big booking or special occasion but not when it comes to normal punters on regular days. It's just generally a quite badly ran venue IMO PS: to the staff member that will inevitably reply to this with faux concern and an email address to get in touch: please don't bother. I have emailed you a couple of times about the same sort of thing and not only do you not do anything about it, you don't even acknowledge the emails. There are very simple solutions to the issues I've mentioned. Stop 'showing' your concern and actually do something about it, it's been like this since you opened.

Disco brunch with unlimited cocktails for an hour & a half - we had a brilliant time, service was excellent, food great and cocktails awesome!

One member of staff working at the bar on a busy Thursday night. I understand that you need to wait to be served sometimes, but it's a huge place and having only one member of staff during a busy period doesn't seem right.

Quick service in a nice environment. I had the Croque Madame which was delicious and a lovely latte! It was the start of a hen party and wanted to start off the day somewhere nice to fill our bellies before we started the drinking!

We dined here last year, and again last week. The selection of food has diminished since last year, and certainly some of the listed selections were not available. It seems to me that the chefs could have done much more if they were allowed to.

Very good choice of breakfast dishes, all well presented and cooked and tasting good (thanks chefs!). Very good service from Kevin and welcome from other staff encountered. One quibble, tea was distinctly on the weak side, though the orange juice and coffee were very good.

We had our annual summer party at Ducie Street this year. The booking process was very smooth & we established our requirements on the day very quickly. Matilda was very tentative to our needs. We actually booked this outdoor space being optimistic for good weather. Unfortunately, when the day arrived our optimism was drowned. However, this was no issue for the booking team and they very kindly moved us to an indoor space with the option to go outside for a breather in a private space. Our welcome drinks and tokens were ready for us on arrival & the food came out on the dot of the expected time. Callum, the events coordinator ensured any enquiries were dealt with immediately. Ducie Street as a venue have a great vibe & it was a lovely location for a sociable office shindig. The live DJ was a lovely touch and they set the mood for the Saturday Evening very well. Our whole party had a great night but there are a few items that could be improved for future bookings. Although the food was tasty, our whole team felt the portions were quite small & most of us were left still feeling hungry as the night went on. The meeting room we were booking had limited seating which meant some of our party left to sit in the main area for respite, splitting up our party much of the time. The two bartenders staffing the bar did work very hard, but we did feel this wasn't enough staff for the amount of people waiting to be served on that Saturday night. Another reason our party was often split, most were waiting to be served at the bar or searching for a seat. The only other idea for improvement suggested by the team would be the ability to control our own audio in the meeting room booked, we could shut the door but not change the music to allow for some team bonding games. Despite our constructive criticism, we had a great time at Ducie Street Warehouse and would book again (given some of our improvements are taken on board).

This place lost its vibe and quality. It feels dirty and just not the same as couple years ago. Staff give “can’t be arsed” attitude and it just doesn’t feel like a nice and inviting place anymore. Food also not that great anymore. Been going there since it opened but recently not been enjoying it and considering high food competition that is in Manchester sadly this place just doesn’t rise up to the same level anymore. Won’t be going back.

We booked, arrived....were surprised it was dead......then became less surprised when the poor waiter told us he'd turned away lots of people becase you're basically just serving egg on toast now. You had an amazing business formula then completely ruined it ......way to go 🤣

Good sized portions although the veggie sausages I had were very over cooked and dry. The ingredients were very fresh though and generally everyone's food looked good. A lot of mix ups with the group but it was a large group so a lot more to deal with and as it was the morning in the week just a pretty quiet atmosphere but not unpleasant.

Ceri was such an efficient waitress, very attentive and diligent. Gave us thoughtful insights on what to order on the menu, which was very helpful. Great experience, 10/10.
