Fabulous little cafe right on the main square at the village green. Great snack menu. Teas coffees etc. The girls are friendly and service is great. They are participating in August's " Eat out to help out: govt scheme which means you eat for half price mon tues and wed. It doesn't get any better

had the donner kebab with a microwaved pitta bread chillie sauce was rotten wouldn't feed it to ma dug

Same as plenty of other fast food outlets and worth a visit if all other eateries in Drumnadrochit are full or booked out. We were in that position and it was a welcomed emergency remedy. I had the fish which I also had last year and found it very nice which was on par with other fish that I ate during my trip. I have no complaints, I know what fast food outlets are like and I know the chances one takes on the quality or lack theroff of the food they serve, that’s why I go for the food that I’ve had before.

We used the Drum Takeaway twice and picked up and ordered on each occasion. The food was freshly cooked and tasty - and the bonus for our daughter was the park next to it! Prices as you would expect but the fish supper can easily be split between two people as the portions are generous.

I just couldn't finish my donner and chips. Chips might as well been mashed potatoes they were completely soggy. Donner meat was better but not good. Curry sauce is watery. I didn't even eat half before tossing it, such a waste of money. Pizza was ok, but nothing I'd return for. Next time I'll just grab something at the co-op.... really disappointing when all I wanted was a hot meal.

Staying in the village for a week and thought we would try the local take away. The greeting as we went in was awful, not even a smile or hello. My husband had a Shish Kebab and the rest of us had fish & Chips. Fish was edible but greasy. My husband's was awful, couldn't get his fork through the meat and also had very little salad. He decided to drive back to the shop and complain. The guy said it is fresh meat and cooked to order. He didn't offer any apology. He really wasn't interested in customer feedback and was not sorry he had a disappointed customer. Will not be back to that take away again

We live in drum Have used it in past and like other folk here have suffered the conciquences I would rather not eat then go there again

Ate here our first night and what a disappointment very expensive slow service and the food was terrible no redeeming qualities would not recommend eating here.

Ordered a single haddock fish and was more than pleasantly surprised at receiving a large battered haddock done to perfection. I was asked if I required chips which I declined as the fish was enough for me and it was delicious on eating it. No complaints from me. My daughter had a kebab which she was not enamoured with and left most of it.

Been here a few times to give it the benefit of the doubt, but I won't be back. Chips have a strange appearance and taste; very oily as if cooked at the wrong temperature. I have to laugh looking at other 'reviews' praising the level of service from the staff - usually it's ok but nothing more. Best given a miss. Hope the soon to open Chinese takeaway in Drum will be better!

Ordered a cheese burger and it was so good, the service was also very fast and friendly. The chips that came with it were fresh and crispy as well as the fish. All in all a very nice place to receive food and would definitely recommend buying from there

Worst ever kebab pitta bread comes seperate very little salad and dry doner meat. Pitta bread was like a piece of cardboard

I just had a bag of chips, which were passable, however from what I saw on display, I wouldn't venture to try anything else. Reading the reviews I did actually laugh out loud seeing the majority of generic positive reviews which are the only review posted by each 'person'. Tells you everything you need to know I think.

Was desperately hungry after travelling around Loch Ness, in the knowledge that choice is very limited. You would have to be desperate to use this place. Sausage in batter was an awful take on what should be a classic. The sausage was chemical tasting, manufactured and no doubt mechanically recovered ‘meat’. Awful awful awful

Lovely fish and chips, all food cooked fresh to order and generous portions. Very good value for money. Wouldn’t hesitate to visit again.

Podczas naszej podróży trafiliśmy do tego miejsca. Wybór nasz padł na pizzę wegetariańską. Złożyliśmy zamówienie i za nie zapłaciliśmy i mieliśmy ją odebrać za 15 minut. Z 15 minut zrobiło się prawie 25 minut. Sama pizza - słabiutka, jakby niedopieczona, a zbyt duża liczba mokrych składników rozmoczyła placek. Ser smakowo pozostawiał też wiele do życzenia. Kolejny raz raczej byśmy się tam nie wybrali.

We decided to get some food here because we wanted a quick meal. But when we arrived, there was already a small line and since the place is very small, it got really crowded and hot. We ordered the chicken pakora and chips,a smoked sausage and chips and a side of coleslaw. It took a while to prepare our meals.

Awful food, awful service, dubious health and hygiene standards and just not somewhere I would ever go again. Fiddlers chip shack is far better and worth the extra you might pay.

Really, don't eat here. I know its a chippy, but unless you enjoy a bit of gristle with your oil, or overnight stomach cramps for which you will pay stupidly inflated prices, do yourself a big favour, walk on by. £33 for kebab, fish 'n chips and a deep fried black pudding.

On holiday and used this take away a couple of times.Prices are not expensive, food is fresh and tasty, not greasy like other take away places Friendly staff.Definitely worth a visit

I ordered a mix-kebab at the Drum Take Away last night and have been delivered in 30 minutes. The three kebab meats (lamb/shish, chicken, and donner) are served in generous, tasty and spicy pieces. The chips are served in a good portion, freshly cut and delicious, the Pita bread comes directly from the oven. To perfect I added their beautiful homemade chili sauce on it. It was delicious, I am a big eater and it satisfied me beyond my expectations, all of this for less than £10.I highly recommend this place!

A shabby takeaway in a fairly ugly building - had fish and chips from here; the fish was passable but the chips were practically raw. Wouldn't recommend.

I have finished my trip with great satisfaction and good feeling for the taste of yummy chips and BBQ of drum takeaway. And most crutial the behaviours of the owner of that takeaway. Special thanks from my kid side for the complimentary toys. Wish to visit thousand times....

Heading:Very tasty Quality food.Was in Drumnadrochit for short vacation and really wanted fish & chips, this completely hit the spot. Fish was fresh & the batter was absolutely perfect very light, super crispy not oily or soggy. Chips too were excellent, crispy on outside & fluffy on the inside... Value for money..

Went on a Saturday around 19.30 and being a very small shop was not sure where the queue started and ended. Once established the order was taken and paid for without any information as to how long it would take. Thirty minutes later and we were still waiting! Another ten minutes and we were eventually given our meals. Once we got back and sat down to eat, my meal was not what I had ordered! To have gone back would have caused inconvenience so instead of a chicken breast without chips I ended up with quarter of chicken with chips. The chicken was very dry and the chips were not good. All in all not a good experience and we will not go back.

Avoid going to this takeaway !! We ordered fish and chips the chips were tasteless and the batter on the fish was soggy and greasy. The fish had very little taste either !!.

We ordered a chicken Kebab and received pieces of chicken and chips, when I questioned the staff member she offered me some salad.This salad was put in the box with chips and consisted of very little iceberg lettuce, 2 pieces of cucumber. The chilli save was something heated up out of a jar. Needles to say we won't be back

Great little takeaway with a large choice menu. We had haggis and chips which was really nice and tasted great. Lots of other stuff available like fish, kebab, pizza.

If you are hungry it will fill you up. Pizza is not excellent, but is decent and the chicken BBQ one is quite good actually.

Superb find!!! Most of cafes are on main road. Drum farm is us set back next to the pub. Away frOff the road. And set in a lovely courtyard. There is a retro sweetie shop, Pet shop and ' computer/ techno shop. Lovely cafe, really good menu. Excellent find. Definitely our stop when taking relies over there!!! We ordered 6 meals and half of them were good - Calzone Pizza, Steak Pie and Smoked Sausage - and the rest very poor, especially the Chicken Burger that was overcooked and like a brick and the baked potato with Tuna was completely unedible and looked dreadful.

Visited in January while staying in the village of Drumnadrochit. It is the only place open during off season but I really enjoyed my visit as the atmosphere was nice and relaxing.I had a passion of visiting different places and testing different food whether it's restaurant or take away. So I ordered a pizza, a doner kebab and traditional fish with a portion of chips which served with it. I was sitting out side to enjoy the scenic view and honestly they didn't take too long. The service was quick, food was fresh and delicious. The taste of the food was good enough to worth your money. I asked some fresh salad to them and they gave it free to me.I highly recommend them if anyone passing by.

Pretty average. I would think that the ingredients are not particularly high quality but it is filling and if you are in a hungry hurry it will seem very good. You can park outside as it is next to a Coop store and it is on the main road. Seems busy so filling a need but not memorable.

The food is fantastic. the Donner kebab meat is phenomenal. Their Munchy box is generous for the price with delicious vegetable and chicken pakora. Excellent service - they take pride in their business.

Cooked on order freshly prepared fish & chip's, had to wait for 7/8 minutes but trust me, it was worth it. The fish (Haddock) was very tasty, the batter was crisp & the chips was freshly cut not frozen or chilled.

Ordered fish and chips, very very nice. Been for a long trip out, couldn't be bothered to cook or eat out. Very happy to find this place a couple of mins away from our holiday home. They were freshly cooked to order. Didn't unwrap till we got back. Chips were well cooked, nice and soft all through, with a slight crispyness on the outside. Fish was lovely too. Will definitely order again, the menu was vast - so might try the pizza next time.

Absolutely shocking! Ordered 2 x 12 inch pizzas after a long drive up to this beautiful part of the world. Cost of £20 for the pair seemed ok but we had to throw most of it away. The dough was raw on most of the base and I've no idea what the cold white gloop which was alleged to be cheese was. It certainly wasn't cheese as I've ever tasted it. Left hungry after a long journey. Avoid stall costs.

Having arrived at our destination at tea time we were all hungry and needing fed, as the coop next doors shelves were basically bare we ended up in the drum takeaway. The smell of grease hits you straightaway not very appealing! We were told our two pizzas and fish n chips would take twenty minutes so we went outside for some fresh air. The food was average but rather expensive for what it was. Although we were advised by a local to only go for the pizza we found that worse than the fish and chips which were fine. This place obviously has the upper hand being the only takeaway for miles but in my opinion I'd make the journey to somewhere else rather than going here again.

I had a shish kebab, the meat was taken from the back of the shop to the grill in an old butter tub! The lamb was lying about its age as it was tough as anything. The chips looked anemic and were a bit under cooked.My wife and friend had the fish and chips which they said was soggy and not that great. The saving grace was the cheese topped garlic bread

Tasty food value for money.I went to Drumnadrochit last week & went to Drum takeaway to have some food. I had ordered fish & chip & my partner had ordered doner kebab. The fish were very tasty & crispy. The chips they cooked was fresh cut not frozen, were yammi. Doner kebab was also very good. All cost only £11.30!!!

Freshly cooked chips while you wait but can be soggy. The potatoes are right ; the oil is fine however the chips need to be crisper . Cook until chip is soft then put in a hotter oil for 1 or 2 minutes to brown & crisp. We (my parents) ran the best chip shop in Wigan in the 60s. Crisping will save money in the long run as you don't need to give too large a serving. Quality not quantity. If you have two or more pans , you just keep one at higher temperature than the other. It was usually the one we did the fish in. Otherwise a must stop off place with very good prices and range.

This is a rough countertop of fried food and other quick takeaway items. It's cheap, good for the money, and fast. If you need a quick dinner on the way to your hotel or hostel, this is a good pit stop. We really enjoyed the Mexicano pizza.

Yes, the building is tired and its not all shiny surfaces BUT this is a good local chippy and the menu has a nice choice and the price is very reasonable. The pizzas are always lovely and I've never had a bad fish supper yet! In high season it can be busy and that can impact on the service. The waiting area is quite small but food is cooked to order not sat in the heat cxabinet so expect a slightly longer wait but at least you know your food is fresh! you're worried about time, pick up a menu beforehand and phone in an order. Staff are friendly and, unlike quite a few other eateries here, they are open all year round.

This had to be the worst take away we have ever had, they delivered quite promptly to our boat in the harbour however, the special mixed kebab was cold, the chips looked like they were leftovers from yesterday, the chicken was cut thinly and dried up and cold, the lamb looked like dried up dog food and was tough and cold, the kebab meat looked old and was also cold, the chilli had been heated up and looked and tasted like it was straight from a bottle of sweet chilli sauce, not proper kebab chilli sauce, needless to say the bin was emptied quicker than usual as it was full of disgusting cold takeaway food and all for £14.90

We were visiting Loch ness for a few days and it was convenient to eat here. The curry sauce was lovely, and the pizzas were very good too.

In unserem Feriwnort gab es nurein sehr teures Restaurant. Weshalb wir in den Nachbarort fuhren, von außen und innen nicht sehr einladend. Dafür aber recht voll. Unsere Pizzen dauerten 20 Minuten und waren recht groß. Man muss sein Essen mitnehmen. Wir haben dann im Auto am LochNess gegessen. Die Zutaten waren ok,doch leider fehlte jede Art von Würze.

This is a very good place for cheap and cheerful belly filling food. I went for fish and chips and it was cooked fresh. The local workman in the queue next to me said it's always cooked fresh and with good oil. It was delicious. I have to say I was happy with this visit.

Nice fresh fish and chips, we where staying in lockletter lodgers self catering so it was nice to go out for a treat and save me from coking

First impression dirty! Food was disgusting. Do not recommend. They've got customers because is cheap and no choice if you are on budget.

Best ever fish & Chips meal I'had when I visited Lockness last week , the sevice was brilliant also.

After going in to order we were told the food would be ready in 10 minutes.... 20minutes later the kebab was put out.... a further 10minutes later the rest of the food was placed on the counter. Needless to say the kebab was stone cold. Shame its the only take away option, wouldn't waste your money.

Wir sind abends gegen 21 Uhr eingekehrt. Trotz der geringen Größe des Ortes war der Laden voll. Auch als wir mit unserer Bestellung "Heim" schlurften war der Andrang noch immer groß. Geschmacklich gab es an unseren Fish and Chips nichts auszusetzen. Die Portionen waren auch ausreichend groß. Allein die fettgeschwängerte Luft und der sich überall festsetzende Ölfilm war etwas abstoßend. Eine Generalreinigung ist überfällig. Wenn man darüber hinweg sieht, ist der Laden zu empfehlen. Sitzgelegenheiten gibt es allerdings keine. Wir wollten uns dort aber auch nicht wirklich hinsetzen.

Great fish and chips, very good value. Good sized portions, also the Scampi not all batter either, which is a big plus.

We ate here twice. First time we had Pizza Hawai and Donner Kebab. It was very cheap that's why I marked as an average food. But the size is really big and on our pizza was plenty of cheese.

Intentamos cenar en el restaurante pero estaba a tope y no habíamos reservado. Este take away te soluciona porque tienes pizzas, hamburguesas. Al lado hay un supermercado donde se puede comprar alguna cosa más.

Had some fish and chips. Chips were underdone. Did not look very clean. Found out later that the back door was propped open with a bucket of chips. ugh.

Another busy cafe along the banks of Loch Ness and focused towards the typical tourist. Coffee was bland and instant and the tea was lukewarm. Very busy and not customer focussed at all.

Me and my family stayed in drumnadrochit and this little chippy was just in the village and was god send its choice was excelent very cheap I would recommend this little gemto eveyone

Abbiamo mangiato qui tre giorni fa... seduti ad un tavolo all'aperto, con due raggi di sole che ci scaldavano piacevolmente. Il mangiare era ottimo, tipico e a prezzi molto contenuti. I souvenir su Nessy conviene acquistarli qui e non ad Edimburgo.

Nous avons opté pour des fish and chips, et la qualité du poisson laissait à désirer (odeur d’ammoniac, qui prouve que le poisson était en fait en décomposition)! Nous sommes donc retournés avec notre baquette dans l'établissement en expliquant notre mécontentement, et là on nous a remboursés sans problèmes! Accident ou pratique fréquente?

Good food at good prices,there is a great selection of the normal chip shop things plus pizza and kebabs.They also do a delivery service or you can phone in your order and it will be waiting for you to collect.

Hot, ready in 15 minutes and fresh. Great if you don't want to cook your own food and can't find a local restaurant that you like.

we stopped for coffee and it was the worst coffee we ever had, it was nasty, if I were you I would stay away from it

Visited the drumnadrochit with friend in Easter holidays Had veg pizzas and vegetable pakora with chilli sauce and they were very tasty

We had food from here last year and loved it, so expected it to be as good again, what a mistake that was. The place has really gone downhill, not at all as clean as it should be and staff who make you feel uncomfortable being in there. They obviously prefer to serve locals more than tourists, and have no qualms about serving smaller portions than you pay for, or even filling a kebab with chips and disguising it with very little meat. I would never set foot in this place again.

This is not open all the time. You do need to check the opening times usually displayed on the door. Small place, but a good ole chippy! Need I say more.

So...you wouldn't choose this as your takeaway of choice but if you are looking for some hot food and you are not in a rush, it will more than suffice. Food is average with a few highlights and staff are generally okay.
