Very atmospheric, interesting, dog friendly pub. Had a lovely lunch of beef and Guinness pie with mash and veg, husband had the burger - both very good and portions were huge! Would recommend.

This hotel is the most atmospheric place I have ever stayed. The staff are attentive and so friendly, the rooms are alive with character and I love that it has been kept looking exactly as it should. I was only meant to stay one night but after travelling around we decided to spend another night, The food is beautiful, the surrounding scenery is spectacular, highly recommend anyone thinking of staying here to experience it you won’t be disappointed!

The drovers inn has always been my favourite place to visit for a bite to eat and a nice scenic drive. But upon my return I saw they have increased the prices dramatically from only being there in the last couple of months. I normally get the fish and chips, and I always appreciate the reasonable priced food. Was £14 now its £18?!!! I bet the staff didn't get a rise like this! Same portion size, same everything. Day light robbery!

We have booked to come back in July of next year for 3nights. Would highly recommend this wee quirky hidden gem.

We had booked an over night stay for two couples and had phoned the day before to book dinner and were told that we could not book, so we arrived on Saturday 10/09/23 to see all the table with booked signs on them. We asked again and managed to get a table for 6.30, when this came the table had been given away. We eventually managed to get something to eat and the food was reasonable albeit on very uncomfortable seats. The singer in the main bar sounded great but we could not get in due t all the pre booked tables and the queue a the bar which had only one person serving and was continually busy. The room we stayed in was clean but the bathroom stank of excrement and the noise form the toilet next door vibrated through the wall, we went for breakfast which was frankly appalling, we paid £300 for two rooms and to be honest they were worth £50 the staff could not be bothered and were obviously overworked, the place needs closed down

Been going to the Drovers since the 70s. Today stopped for lunch. When I ordered at the bar the amount asked for seemed more than it should. When I asked the bar man what the prices were I was told he added a 10% service charge. I asked why I wasn’t told or that the menus didn’t mention it. He replied he “ Couldn’t be arsed “ and would take it off the bill. I was given an unitemized receipt for the total. The fish and chips was good. When I got home I happened to check my bank for something unrelated and noticed I had been charged twice. Once for the correct bill and once with the service charge. It would be nice to think it was a genuine mistake but I don’t think so. So sad . Ps called them several times but they don’t answer the phone
