Dreams Bistro in Derby

Went for afternoon tea, food and staff were lovely, cafe could do with a touch more cleaning, (I put my long coat on the back of the chair and it got black marks on it from the floor.) The staff were very attentive however, and food was incredible all homemade, very impressed with service and food, will definitely return.

Booked and paid for a meal for last Tuesday wasn’t even open Been trying to ring them since but saying dream bistro unavailable

A little gem of a place. Beauriful Greek food served at the Greek night. Staff very helpful and friendly, entertainment excellent and a great atmosphere. Will certainly go again and highly recommend a visit.

First visit here for the Greek night. Being January, it was quiet but they still went all out with the entertainment and dancing. Great food too - highly recommended.

Myself and a friend enjoyed an Afternoon Tea for Two with Prosecco on a Saturday afternoon. The sandwiches and home made scone and cakes were just delicious, with huge portions! They were happy to provide vegetarian sandwiches for me. Helen was our host and nothing was too much trouble. Lovely service and atmosphere, thank you!

Just siding with hide burger here in the statement that they have put out that Dreams Bistro personally went bankrupt to avoid paying for this restaurant. Won’t visit.

Just had a very enjoyable Greek Evening at the Bistrot. The food was excellent authentic Greek food. There was a nice atmosphere with a live guitarist. Well worth visiting.

Great food at an affordable price

Based on the photos I had seen of this place on Google, I expected Dreams Bistro to be a high quality bistro and was looking forward to trying it but it turned out that the photos were not at all representative of the experience. The decor isn't quite as premium as the photos suggest but it's just ok. The waitress was pleasant and friendly. It's steeply downhill from here though! I had a mug of tea which arrived first and the mug was really unclean inside and wouldn't have taken much effort to get it clean. This immediately puts me off the place as I start to doubt the cleanliness and hygiene. My biggest disappointment was the food, unfortunately my Big Breakfast just tasted and smelled of an unpleasant cooking oil and it seemed like everything/most items were cooked in the same pan. It was that off-putting I left the majority of it after trying each item. The meat seemed poor quality/cheap. I will never return. I have also never written a negative review until now. Disappointing as I think Derby City Centre needs a good quality bistro (or two).

We have visited dreams bistro twice once for breakfast and once for lunch. The food is beautiful and the service is excellent in lovely surroundings. Well worth a visit will be back

We visited for an afternoon tea, that was bought as a gift from our daughter, it was a lovely experience the food and atmosphere was amazing aswell as the service, I will be recommending to all of our friends and family,its was wonderful Alan, Catherine Warren

beautiful place had a afternoon tea with my friend . To much to eat took some home in a box. Service was brilliant music was lovely very relaxed place. Staff was top service. It was that good going to book another afternoon tea for my daughter

Everything was nice and we had afternoon tea. Food was nice and tasty, sandwiches and cakes were fresh as was everything on the table. Service was also very good and unobtrusive. We will definitely visit again

Nice place but the afternoon tea was very poor. A groupon offer but not at all as advertised. Thick white bread with minimal cheap fillings. Bread was dry on outside due to being out too soon. Lots of cake but poor quality. Fizz and tea OK.

Went for afternoon tea for 2 and got to say it was really nice. Service was excellent and the food was lovely. Also great choice of Prosecco it was really nice. Many thanks keep up the good work 👏

Groupon afternoon tea, no option to review on groupon! Wonder why? Absolutely awful, coffee cold, sandwiches really thin and basic, my vegetarian ones were mixed with meat ones, when i queried they brought me out 1 quarter sandwich on a plate! All cakes were shop bought,like the long life ones from the £1 shop,dry and awful, scones shop bought and only served with butter and jam, no cream?? Menu posted on groupon is not what you get!Do not waste your money!

Absolutely nice food had nice Greek wrap nice and cosy small independent local business decided come here would recommend this place came with friend before heading to pride park stadium for Derby county v Shrewsbury game

Works Christmas doo. Pre ordered food however they messed up; food came out in dribs and drabs, missed some orders, some food was cold, tasteless, dry. Food wasn’t what it said on the pre order menu. People were still eating the main when puddings were brought out. Took forever to get a drink. Wine was foul. Toilets disgusting. Overall not impressed.

Absolutely incredible food, we weren’t expecting the food to all be amazing as it was our first time visiting, but it blew us away. We had the fish burger, pork skewers and lamb shank and were all jealous of the others’ food as it was all phenomenal ! Highly highly recommended

A city place to go if you have kids and you want the space and to be cosy inside. Food amazing and brilliant staff. I am currently in a dairy free diet as I am breastfeeding and I did eat. I highly recommended it.

Went for lunch brunch. Nice clean venue with lovely friendly staff. All the food is made fresh to order. The Ceasar was a great big portion and very filling,nice chunks of chicken and lots of croutons. Now the Club Sandwich. Never had one like this before. Bread not toasted. Filled with among other things cheese ,ham and Salami which all makes the bread soggy. Classic Club is- Bacon,lettuce,tomato,chicken,mayo and toasted. Although pleasant it wasn't what we expected. It might just be their version. Chips were nice too. Don't want be negative, just constructive hopefully👍

Great food and excellent quality! I read the reviews below and I was a bit sceptical but when I tried it I was impressed. Also, as mentioned below about the fried rice, there is no fried rice or such on the menu so I don’t know what the review below was about! 🤷‍♀️ Thank you Dreams Bistro team for the amazing dinner I had! 😊

Lovely place inside and outdoor space decent. No draught beer and bottles bit pricey. Staff really pleasant, friendly and clearly valuable to the business. Hope Annie gets some praise as delightful, attentive and real.

The place to be in town! I have been for dinner and I could not be more satisfied! The environment is beautiful, cozy and friendly with lots of outdoor space especially if you like the summer breeze ... the staff is great, friendly and welcoming, ready to accommodate any reasonable request ... And the food is just amazing ... Freshly made, with seasonal ingredients, well-sized portions and flavours to bring an explosion in your mouth... I enjoyed both my food and the hours spent at Dreams Bistro and when pay-time came I was surprised by the very reasonable prices! I am definitely going again and again, keep discovering the chef's surprises! Don't miss it!!!!!

Such a quaint beautiful place to eat such lovely food at such great prices. Staff was lovely and always willing to meet the needs of the diners with lovely service. The interior is beautiful and such a pleasure to look at definitely be returning! 🥰
