Amazing hotel. We forgot to ask beforehand, if we could park our bikes safely with the hotel, staff found the perfect sulotion in no time at all. You could really feel their dedication, simply heart warming. The room was unique, bathtub in the middle of the room, the small shower bathroom might not be everybody's taste though. We loved it, though. The Dilsk restaurant is fantastic, be it breakfast or dinner. The upstairs bar is nice and stylish and they had an aged Dalmore Whiskey - amazing drink with the sea at your feet. After 1.000km on our bikes we slightly regretted having no lift. This hotel might not be the best stay if you have difficulties with taking 2 or mor stories.

Charming beachfront boutique hotel! My partner and I decided on a spontaneous weekend getaway in Brighton, and this hotel exceeded our expectations. We enjoyed a delightful breakfast in bed, appreciated the attention to detail, and were impressed by the staff's kindness. It made for a superb stay.

For a whopping 1537 euros I got a small attic room number 19 for four nights. Not particularly clean. With half a view of the pier (if you stand) or of the sea. Air condition on the ceiling as well as windows from the inside and the frames were very dirty. Brittle ledges and cobwebs. No fridge, no elevator, no safe in the room. WiFi so-so. No questions about whether everything is OK, nothing. Breakfast was ok. No buffet! Small selection from the menu. The breakfast staff was just a lady who had to run around because she was alone. But she was very nice. In short, 3 stars would be appropriate here. But 4 star deluxe you expect something different than being accommodated in a workers' room. That was really disappointing. Brighton would love to come back but not in the Hotel Drake!

Beautiful boutique hotel and service second to none. I’ve stayed at many of the worlds top 5 stars - Rosewood, Mandarin Oriental, Four seasons. Drakes staff are on a similar level with attentiveness, attention to detail and willingness to go above and beyond, and with a genuine smile on their face. Room was great with sea view and beautiful big picturesque windows, bed and pillows made sleep very easy and breakfast which was delicious was served quickly. Baby friendly, clean hotel. Will be back again. Thank you all the staff who made us feel so welcome for my sisters birthday.

I gave it 4 stars only because their WiFi was not on par for business users. Otherwise, 5 stars for a very comfortable stay - the pillows, bedding, the service, the food all great! No lift so staying on 3rd floor may be awkward for those with disability issues. But I am sure Drakes point this out when asked. I opted for a traditional bathroom rather than a wetroom. The stand alone bath in the bedrooms were a little pricey and not my cup of chai but surely appeals to tourists and those on romantic get aways! Maintain your standards Drakes!

It’s quite overpriced. The dishes weren’t interesting enough for the price, nor the portion size. Nice interior design and cocktails were fine. Nice flavours. We like seafood and four out of five dishes in that category are tinned. I can’t see how it’s justified when there is no cooking involved. The bread with tomato and anchovies was luke warm and the bread was soggy with too much heavy wet cold tomato and then two slivers of anchovies. More attention needed to the timing of courses too. We had a cocktail and then cheese arrived straight away. I expected maybe some communication about the order of dishes…it’s a nice place just a few important tweaks needed in my opinion.

Well done to the open bakery for opening such a wonderful cafe in Queen’s Park. It’s transformed the area into something really special.

Wasn’t particularly hopeful of good food when Sharwood’s poppadoms were bought to the table. Four poppadoms and chutneys for over £5 is taking the p anyway but to serve shop bought ones is not on. No excuses. The meat thali was very tasty but the roti was incredibly oily. Not bad value at £22 for the thali though.
