Dragon Inn in Mid Suffolk

That was not what I call sweet n sour Cantonese no pineapple, very little green pepper, way too much onion undercooked and soggy battered chicken balls in what wasn’t very sweet n soury. Very disappointed for the value.

This is the best Chinese in the area! The negative reviews are ridiculous. If you order food on a Friday or Saturday, it won't be delivered in minutes! My own opinion is that this restaurant deliver gorgeous food quickly and it has always been piping hot on arrival - which is impressive seeing as we live at the edge of their delivery range. The last time I ordered, we were even given a free bottle of fizzy to say thanks for the large order (I presume). I recommend the chilli beef, and also the chow meins are cooked perfectly.

We ordered a takeaway for 2 last night. Our delivery took an hour & a half, which to be fair wasn't completely their fault - we did order at 7pm on a Saturday night. Sadly, the food wasn't very hot! We assumed it was in the delivery car too long. It was a shame because otherwise it was delicious, just luke warm! We have had food delivered before & never had a problem. It was a shame because it's put me off them a bit.

Food and delivery were great couldn’t fault it. Ordered on line small charge for delivery and was delivered within a reasonable time.

Always rated this take away Tonight's meal was fantastic The chicken balls best I've ever had please keep these The salt and chilli wings we're tasty cooked well not dry Mongolia beef was tender and flavour was great There were more dishes all brilliant We waited just over an hour but don't mind when it's hot and good

I’m sorry, but the food was not enjoyable at all. The curry had a strange almost sweet vegetable taste. My partner likened the taste of the beef to a prawn cracker….will never order from here again.

If only I had read the reviews - the food here REALLY is THAT BAD. In fact , most of the dishes were inedible. How and Why is this business allowed to serve the public? Its utterly disgusting and disgraceful

Had my food delivered was cold and didn’t taste nice, had the drivers girlfriend staring and gazing through my window. So rude! I then ordered again the other week and I had missing chips and chow mein.

It took over an hour and a half, which is fine as it's a busy Friday night. The delivery man was nice, but I'm sorry the food was appalling. I've just never seen anything like it. I think the chicken balls were the worst thing, they were like rocks that had been cooking forever with virtually no batter. The chips were horrid, the curry was watery and had no taste. Even the sauces were awful. I really wish I'd have looked at reviews first and I wouldn't have ordered.

We had a takeaway from there on Friday 20th August 2020 and it was awful the chicken in the chicken balls is now processed muck and the batter is awful used to be nice here but cutting corners on the food is not the way to get their business back on track serving awful food will destroy it we will certainly not be going back

I ordered food for our wedding anniversary for 16:30 we had our order delivered on time. The delivery driver was very friendly. As was the staff at the takeaway. The food arrived very hot it had lots of flavour in the chicken chowmein, fried chicken with fresh chilli salt, king prawns with fresh chilli salt. The egg fried rice tasted as it should and chips nice and hot not soggy or hard. I have to say the food was fantastic. All these bad reviews are a load of rubbish. This is the best takeaway we've ever been to my wife and I very much enjoyed it. As of so did my two young boys. This establishment deserves 10/10 will definitely be ordering from this place again and again. Thank you dragon in for a great experience from your takeaway.

Not even if this was the only meal I could ever have would I choose this awful mess of a Chinese meal. Simply the worst ever takeaway of my life. I want to give this zero. They was not one part of our takeaway that was edible, we were warned off buying from here but we still did... we should of listened. The rice was dry and stale, the noodles were greasy and no taste, the sweet and sour chicken balls were inedible. They looked like small burnt scotch eggs, it wasn’t batter and have no idea what the coating was. Inside was a reconstituted chicken ball. I actually felt sick biting into this. How this takeaway is still in business is beyond me.

I got the chinese delivered this evening, its terrible, chicken balls are like minced chicken undercooked, chow mein dry, spare ribs are too salty too eat and everything just tastes the same. Its by far the worst chinese I've ever eaten. I only got this because they take PayPal not cash. I do not recommend. Wait until better is available again.

I wish I had seen reviews before ordering but it was only Chinese open. Chicken in Bbq sauce was like brown water. "Chicken" balls were dry, burnt and tasted weird. Opened one up to feed to the dog and "chicken" had clearly been piped and coated in something that is not batter. For the first time ever neither of us finished the meal and only ate two balls each. On a plus side the dog is really happy and the prawn crackers were nice. Won't be going back ever !

Wouldn’t feed this food to the homeless. The duck we had was road kill they’d picked up on the way here. Chips stale Everything cold. Waste of hard earned money. Shut it down

Very very poor quality food much better available elsewhere in Stowmarket or Stowupland ordered for tea at 5.30 and turned up at just after 4pm. Very very disappointed and will NEVER return

I personally love the food from the Dragon Inn @ Stowmarket. The staff could not be anymore helpful than they are now. The potion sizes are marvellous. Every takeaway has its own style and I really like this style.I would like to give some prompts to the minority of those who take time to slate this takeaway, however I believe some of the comments are made by other businesses spuriously to damage the reputation of the Dragon Inn, however;1. Don’t have problems, have solution start points!2. Treat others has you wish to be treated!3. “DEAL” with any issue you may have politely, you may be quite surprised how your “DEALT” with!PJT

Put in an order, money was taken but order never arrived. Was told to go through PayPal for a refund. Refund was rejected after 21 days (not a month as he claims). Refused to issue refund or even deliver the order that I paid for at a later date, which I thought was very reasonable of me to offer given the circumstances.Expensive lesson learned. Avoid like the plague.

Absolutely disgusting cold watery god knows what it was the chicken balls resembled golf balls absolutely horrid

Delivery was very quick but sadly my chicken satay resembled dish water must of had one peanut in it,I have never had satay sauce with added pineapple,peppers and onions wtf very disappointed so in the bin it goes 😝

Please avoid the food is scary I honestly think it was dog meat and we asked for a refund on the inedible, dangerous and disgusting food and was abused. We were asked to return the food and scrape back in containers which we did as luckily we haven't drunk and when we got there still refused even though promised we would get a refund. They kept the food and said it tasted perfectly. Maybe if you eat people's leftovers and dog food. The owner would not be aviable to speak to as doesnt speak English and do one and never come cack in a threatening manor. Scary these places are allowed to continue trading

I'm sorry this has to be possibly the worst Chinese I have ever had very bland very dry even when smothered in curry sauce those that know me know I hate to waste fopd but mine is now sat proudly in the bin I'm away from home and just wasted 11 pound something now u have to go buy a kebab

The begin I can not fault the speedy service, was very impressed, ordered through just eat, no problems.

We've used this take-away for 5 years … it's never been the best food but it's always been decent with friendly service and delivery drivers.

Food is always nice, staff always friendly,delivery times are what they are especially on busy weekends wich is to be expected from a takeaway. If you can't wait for food then order at Mc Donalds where food ain't even hot. But honestly this is the best takeaway I've ever eaten from great service,delivery people are friendly i have always ordered from them.

Can't write down an order correctly when called to tell them they had put king prawns (which I don't eat) instead of salt and pepper chips tgey said they'd send straight away after 20 mins of dinner getting cold I phoned to be told not coming as didn't order them!!! And I'll have to pay extra after paying for prawns I didn't even order. no phone call no apology Absolute idiots maybe get a receptionist that can take an order. Won't be using again.

Honestly the worst Chinese I've had. We were in East Anglia for our wedding anniversary weekend and chose to have a take away on our anniversary night. I ordered salt and pepper bean curd... I order it at any Chinese I go to and always enjoy it...this was the worst and honestly disgusting. It wasn't seasoned at all - it was just plain fried bean curd, that's it. Where was the 'heat' as described on the menu and the salt and pepper?

I normally get mostly the same thing but I got a curry and it was actually nice with a kick of spice to it. Rice, chips, Hong Kong Sweet and Sour was delicious and there noodles are very tasty :)

i had a shrimp curry and rice from here it was awful curry was like water no taste and mainly full of onions! never again.
