Ordered from here for first time in years. Previously we avoided the place as food was terrible. However! After being recommended it again, under new ownership with new chefs we have been converted! Food was perfect, flavoursome and well cooked. Service was quick, easy and friendly, even after I had messed up with the online order myself and had to call the restaurant to change the order, the lady on the desk was kind and friendly and helpful! The food even turned up 20 minutes early. And lastly the prices are brilliant compared to other Chinese restaurants in the town. With the added bonus of 20% off your first online order! I can't recommend this place enough!

Outstanding food! Very tasty, fresh and full of flavour. We will be ordering again in fact this will be our number 1 place to eat from now on.

I ordered a meal for one to be delivered last night, the delivery driver was very pleasant, the food was hot and very tasty, I honestly couldn't fault in , I will certainly be going back again and would most certainly recommend it.

It's far different as vas originally, expected spaced but normal dish don't liked and price goes up as well

Do not order from here the company doesn’t exist anymore and the website has taken my money and I can’t get it back for 3-5 working days (Foodhub) the First Lady I spoke to was no help but the manager of the new company was very helpful

This was probably the worst meal I've ever had. I ordered the seafood chow mein, it was inedible due to the amount of salt. The prawns were OK but the octopus was hard and impossible to chew. In our party one had a special chow mein which was also too salty and he spent the night being unwell. One had curry and another had black beans in sauce both of which were tasteless. We often eat out and have takeaways, I'd say don't waste your money here, there must be better options in Newark.

They put a menu through our door ,wish they hadn't, the food was awful,the chicken tasted like it was old meat that had been stored for far too long ,they will be making people ill ,they need reporting ,don't order from here ,they will be warming up old food £28 down the drain ,I couldn't eat it !

Had a takeaway meal, I had a seafood chowmein which was the worst meal I've ever had. Octopus was hard and rubbery, noodles were so salty they were inedible. Others in my group, another chowmein was also overly salty. A curry that was tasteless and beef in black bean sauce that was bland and flavourless. Avoid unless you want to waste your money and be left feeling unwell.

Chow mein so burnt it was actually black. Had to smother in sauce to attempt to disguise the foul burnt taste. Chicken balls (bar two of them) were so overdone you could actually snap the chicken. Disgraceful to let food go out the kitchen to paying customers in that state, especially at those prices. Will not return.

Ordered a takeaway from a menu which was delivered to my house within the last 2 weeks. Was told the menu I had was out of date and the prices had gone up. Chicken chow mein was absolutely dreadful and inedible. The stench of Ash when I opened the container was over powering. Tasted just to be sure it wasn't just me, tasted as bad as it smelt ! Literally tasted like cigarette Ash. Absolutely disgusting. I will never use this Chinese again. AVOID

Used them before and was good! I know it must be busy, but double dipped chicken balls are inedible, the dog enjoyed them tho!

Avoid at all costs. Food was dreadful. Chicken balls were rock hard. One of my friends lost a filling to the chicken ball, can honestly say that I wouldn't have felt safe giving any food to the dog. Chow mein tasteless. Only decent items were the chips and rice. Rung up to complain after spending £40, proceeded to be screamed at down the phone by very aggressive owner. Plenty of other decent places in Newark. Don’t give these people your custom. - Owner was very reluctant to give refunds, instead offered us 20% off next order. Which will definitely not be happening.

Crispy 🌶 chicken bland no flavour at all. No spice and taste like it was cooked in a wok not cleaned from the last meal. Won't be going there again

Best place to go on a budget, great food at good prices for a Chinese takeaway

You know what, I can't complain. Everything was as expected. Driver was lovely and polite. Food was hot!

Just had a meal delivered from Dragon City Egg fried rice fine. Beef in black bean was OK Salt and pepper ribs over cooked and burnt

Ordered food came quick ,but upon cutting open the pancake roll ,it smelt horrid and didnt look like a normal pancake roll ,put me off rest of the food ,wont be using again.

Good food at a reasonable price delivered quite quick for a Saturday night.

Ordered for collection, 2 of the dishes completely wrong Salt & Pepper Chicken ordered got Hot & Spicy crispy beef instead, pork balls over cooked, chips like bricks felt like reheated left overs tbh, the rest of dishes pretty much tasted the same. Very disappointed.

Placed an order last night (01/07/21) and everything was fine until……. About an hour or so afterwards my son says he’s not feeling too great. 20 minutes later he’s sick. Egg fried rice and sweet and sour chicken. Thought nothing more of it until I was also sick, same thing. Rice and chicken which we had shared. Then a little later, my son again was sick. We don’t normally get ill, normally have a cast iron constitution. I will not be ordering from here again. You should not be that ill from ‘fresh’ cooked food. Environmental health I think would have a field day.

Appears to be pre cooked slopp , reheated In a microwave. Szechuan beef egg fried rice? Tried a special fried rice couple of weeks ago nothing special about that either very little meat .

Amazing Chinese. Lived in Newark for 10 years and tried loads of them This is by far the best! Crispy shredded chicken on mango sauce is unreal! Delivery a bit slow but I always find its faster to collect :)

My family eat from here every weekend and the food is of good quality and is very tasty. I have had it delivered once and the service was ok but we only live two to three minute drive from the shop so we are more than happy to drive down and pick it up.. I sometimes eat there three times a week.

Ordered for delivery, they said that it would be an hour, two hours later, still no Chinese, and clearly lied when they said after an hour and a half that the delivery driver had set off (10 minute journey). After two hours they said that it would be another 40 mins so cancelled order. Would not recommend.

DO NOT USE!!! Really bad experience on my first and only order. The driver could not find my address and neither the driver or the lady on the phone spoke English well enough for us to guide them to the house, after 50 mins of waiting I asked for a REFUND. The driver turned up (1hr 20mins later) and tried to give me the food (cold). I said I want a refund he said he had no money and drove back to get it. 40 mins later arrives with a new order - I said I wanted a refund and he refused - I begrudgingly took the food - will never use again ABSOLUTELY SHOCKING SERVICE!!!

Always have a great takeaway from here and I know my Chinese takeaways !! Lived in Newark all my life and tried them all. New island the best but they closed on a Monday. This is next best

Horrendous. Even though I do like the food. The delivery service is atrocious. 2 hrs and 10 minutes later we're still waiting.

Rubbish would not recommend!!!! Twice now we've ordered and twice now we haven't received our food! There are better Chineses in Newark, go to one of them!!!
