Great kitchen! The lamb burger had surprising flavors.

Arrived late evening, tired, hot from a flight into London City Airport and a hot walk to the apartments I had been booked into, by which time I really could not face having to go out and get anything to eat at any of the local restaurants on the Thames front that were so highly rated on trip advisor, so thought I would just go and see if there was a local takeaway and fetch it back to the apartment, so came out of the apartment and turned left, there before me on the corner was Dr Inks with a sign outside saying they served food, had a quick look at the menu outside and thought I would give it a shot. Soooooo glad I did, from the great welcome from the bar staff, it just felt like a perfect retreat, and the ease and speed of ordering and a lovely pint of refreshing Aspells cider. Ordered and within a short space of time I was served my meal, hot and perfectly cooked, it was a breath of fresh air, such a hidden gem, and so deserves to be way up the rankings on trip than the position they currently hold, but then I think perhaps ssshhhhh because wouldn't want it spoilt by all the wannabes flocking their fickle ways to this place, but it is just an open, honest, down to earth tasty place, long may it continue, I will certainly be back

Pas grand monde et je demande bien pourquoi ? Un pub super, avec des burgers "homemade " vraiment top! Des cocktails " 2-4-1" et des tarifs vraiment en dessous de ce que l'on trouve ailleurs ( 6£95 pour un veggie burger au top!)

Peckish and happened to drop by and wow, the southwestern chicken salad blew me away. Sumptuous and huge. I Left my plate shining. Always a sign of great food. Highly recommend it. Warm staff reception for a lonely traveller.

Encontré en este bar lugar esperando nuestro regreso de hacer turismo por Londres todo el día de camino a nuestro hotel (El Mad Hatter) en la calle. Una joya escondida. La comida era fantástica, porciones generosas y precios muy por debajo de lo que han estado pagando en toda la ciudad. El personal del bar es excepcionalmente amable y servicial. Especialmente la camarera rubia, salir de su manera de responder a muchas preguntas. Fuimos una segunda vez para Pollo Kiev y me pareció superior a las tartas sirven en el bar fullers en nuestro hotel que es conocido por sus pasteles de carne. Le hacen de este lugar una fija para el resto de nuestro viaje por la cerveza y comida. Me sorprende mucho que no llena todo el tiempo. Multitudes han sido claros en ambas ocasiones.

Habíamos reservado una mesa aquí después de hacer un poco de investigación en la zona a través de Tripadvisor. Estábamos buscando un lugar que podría haber algo de comida decente pub y algunas bebidas cerca de nuestro hotel...y tintas de Dr se ajustaba perfectamente. Un buen pub, decoración elegante y sin duda no con loos podía un lavado de cara, pero todos disfrutamos de nuestra comida y el servicio era muy amable. En realidad estábamos tarde para nuestra reserva ya que nuestro vuelo se había retrasado, pero se realizó una llamada rápida y la mesa para nosotros no hay problema. Buen ambiente, buena música y un excelente personal lleno no= Buenas noches!

Looking for somewhere to eat before theatre on the Southbank. This was a great alternative to the crowded, over priced places by the River. Excellent food, good beer and cider, and the space to enjoy both without being jostled and deafened.

Great Cocktails and friendly staff. Highly recommended! Brilliant food... great atmosphere in a really friendly environment would recommend :)

Fuimos a tintas Dr para una comida rápida en el camino a un espectáculo más a lo largo del Támesis. Un hotel agradable, interior más moderno. Ordenados la comida y el "Yorkie" capturado nuestro ojo. ¡Qué belleza! Cuando llegamos, no podía creerlo. Enorme! Fue allí tome en Yorkshire pud. La carne era suave y bien preparado. El rábano picante era magnífica y encantadora tenía legumbres 6 patatas debajo! completo Mi compañero me encantó! Tuve la salchicha y puré y también fue excelente. Dulces no eran necesarias! Las bebidas estaban a precios de bar. El servicio es muy atento. Pero el Yorkie!!

Cenamos aquí antes del teatro, el mejor Steak & Ale tarta que he comido, excelente ubicación a sólo una manzana de Blackfriars/Stamford. Personal muy amable, muy atento y nos ayudó con algunas preguntas sobre la zona. Precios razonables para la zona. Volver mañana!

Living in Chicago, there are tons of places all over to get a drink and lunch or dinner. Dr Inks doesn't disappoint. We were staying in an apartment next door, so stopped in often for a drink after sightseeing all day. Friendly staff, cold drinks, lovely eats. We had their beef yorkie, large enough for two to share, and really tasty. Highly recommend this place for drinks and dinner/lunch!

We stumbled across this pub wondering off the south bank and it was a top find. The steak was quality, my mate had the fish and chips which was huge and tasty.

Happened to stop by this place one evening with a few colleagues and was truely impressed by the quality of the food and how delicious my chicken and stilton pie was , coupled with the fact they have two for one on all cocktails . The bar staff where friendly and helpful and I will most definitely be revisiting this place. Highly recommended to anyone in and around the Waterloo/south bank area .

Friendly staff you'll get your dose of good kiwi banter and bubbly Swedish girls. The food is tasty! If your unsure what to drink, have Sam mix you up a random cocktail to start your night off. Definitely worth checking out what ever the occasion!

Disgusting! We ordered a Craft Pilsner recommended by the bartender, it smelled and tasted mouldy! Had one sip and it was undrinkable, tried the San Miguel instead, which we had to pay for, even after our complaints, and the San Miguel was even worse! If you're a beer drinker and value your health - avoid at all costs!

Just happened to be walking by and we noticed this place. The service was excellent and the food was really tasty. I would recommend this place to anyone and would definately come back here again.

A great night in a warm and friendly place. They've got a brilliant new chef who delighted us with deliciously yummy treats. I'll be back Arnie style!!

Pas la bonne heure? Une quarantaine de l'établissement que j'ignorais? Un grand évènement ailleurs? Bref, seul au monde. Au moins, j'avais mon canapé à moi...très confortable au demeurant. Ambiance feutrée, lumière tamiséée. Je m'inventais des potes fantômes et on a trinqué ensemble. Avantage : pas de queue au comptoir et service ultra rapide d'une efficience extraordinaire. L'acoustique excellente: je m'entendais parler malgré les houhou murmurés de mes amis fantômes.

Great food and drink, TVs around to watch football/ soccer or whatever else is on. Good wait staff and food is prepared quickly. During Happy Hour, my parents were able to get two drinks for the price of one.

Recently went to Dr. Inks for lunch. This bar used to be very busy at lunchtime but on this occasion there were only a handful inside. I soon figured out why. The barman was clearly a trainee and was unsupervised (on his own), his English wasn't great either so he wasn't sure what we were saying to him. My friend asked if we could order food and the barman promptly disappeared somewhere without a word. He returned several minutes later and took my friends food order of fish and chips. This seemed to take forever! I then ordered the chicken and bacon pie, and the barman could not find this on the till so again took off somewhere and returned several minutes later. At this stage I changed my order to fish and chips to make it easier for the trainee barman, he took my card, charged it and AGAIN disappeared without giving me a receipt! I would describe the food as ok and nothing better.

Had a lunch here with colleagues. The menu is typical pub grub but is above average and reasonably priced. Drinks are typical London prices but table service is available. If you eat lunch you get a free glass of wine which was an unexpected bonus

We stopped there and had greate evening on Monday 2 drinks for price of 1. Very nice Fish and Chips and very nice atmosphere

Soiree plutot sympa, quelques mousses partages entre amis, Grignotage avec des tapas/ antipastie tres bien preparer et consistant pour un prix pas excessif.Lieu tres sympa, faite de rencontre tres enrichissante,Cadre tres agreable avec les grands canape on se sent comme a la maison avec un fond de music rock...le top.

On the walk to Tate Modern we stopped here for lunch, the food was out fast (it wasn't very busy). But we were pleasantly surprised with the food, we both ordered the chicken sandwich which was perfect, the chicken breast was extremely well cooked, not dry whatsoever. Service was nice and fast.

We stopped for a light tea and were pleasantly surprised. Drinks were well priced and the food tasty. Two mains and two drinks all up cost 27. Good size portions. No room for pud! Music slightly loud but not outrageously so.

Pedimos hamburguesas vegetarianas y era casi solo pan y un poco de setas. Las patatas regular y la lasaña de verdura regular.Tiene terraza y esta en una zona tranquila, pero casi mejor ir a otros sitios mas cerca del tamesis.

Fizemos um happy hour lá. O clima estava animado, com muitos jovens saindo do trabalho. As cervejas, como não podia deixar de ser, muito boas. Pedimos fish and chips, que estava bem saboroso e farto.

I spent several weeks in London and visited this pub several times whilst there. The burgers are great, if the macaroni & cheese & bacon is on the specials menu and you do not order it, that will be one of your life's regrets! It gets a little loud on the weekend (but what good pub doesn't) however, it is a great spot for happy hour. Staff are extremely friendly and there are several excellent mixologists behind the bar.

Not great I am afraid - burger and chips type pub menu - the burgers were actually good but the chips were not great. One meal took an hour to come and they seemed understaffed. To be fair they apologised and gave the late meal for free.

Great atmosphere. Wine is cheap!
