Lovely little shop offering refreshments near the green in Downham. Seats outside if needed, or sit on the green or on the benches nearby. Nice ice cream!

First visit in a couple of years and still a good place to visit.i had a most delicious apple pie flavour ice cream. Good selection.

Good quality ice cream and a range of flavours. Recommend the pork pies if any left. Need fine weather but lovely seats outside in attractive setting. A reward for a walk.

On a warm day, enjoy one of these superior icecreams sitting out on the grass outside the small shop. Icecreams made in Longridge and good quality, big choice of flavours,

Whilst on a long walk round the area with friends, we called for a coffee. There were tables set outside on the grass with views of the village which take some beating. Had delicious coffee and our friends bought some chocolate. The shop sells lots of things like postcards, ice creams, sandwiches, although nothing for vegans like me to eat, not sure they get many vegans in Downham (:-) But we would return for the warm welcome and delicious coffee and tranquility.

Lovely little shop selling the most amazing ice cream in this lovely village. Good choice of flavours, you can also buy coffee and cakes. Beautiful sat in the sun on the green outside by the stream and ducks.

Yesterday we were out on an afternoon drive when we came across this lovely ice cream shop, although as we soon found it it sold much more than just ice cream. In reality we were lucky since we later found that the internet said the shop closes on a Monday. There was a huge choice of flavours at very reasonable prices, depending on your choice of cornet. We sat in the sun on the lovely seating provided outside the shop complete with flowers and a copy of the Ribble Valley magazine. Excellent!

Great little shop for a buttie, pie or a piece of cake, coffee or an ice cream. Very helpful with chatty locals filling you in on the village history!

We went here for the first time last Sunday and I loved the choice of ice creams and cones, the shop is a little gem. There were cakes, sandwiches and a good choice of hot and cold drinks. Downham is a lovely village, a real dose of nostalgia, where Whistle Down the Wind was filmed (ask your grand parents) and you can sit outside the cafe enjoying your ice cream whilst drinking in the lovely surrounding! A must visit and if you need a reason to treat yourself, walk up Pendle Hill before you visit! Perfect.

Were staying at The Assheton Arms and went for a walk around and about and just made it here before it closed. Glad we did, the ice cream is fab! Never had Bakewell tart ice cream before, it was fantastic! The Husband had the gingerbread one and also thought it was fab! You will not be disappointed here.

So many flavours, bakewell tart was delicious, was very busy but there is outside seating to enjoy your icecream, the views of pendle hill, and enjoy the peace and quiet. friendly staff, a must if in downham

Stopped here on the way back to the car park after visiting a local gastro pub for lunch.There are a few tables and chairs and a bench outside if you want to sit with your ice cream.The place is delightful and the ice cream delicious.

Such a cute shop. Good location. Outside seating and tables. Many flavours and good price of value, various types of cones and my partner got a fudge stick and I got a flake one. Soft ice creams and not to hard or soft. Loved it. Big scoops and delicious. I Would highly recommend it.

What could be nicer on a sunny day than sitting on the village green eating ice cream. Tea, coffee and snacks are also available. This place is so cute and the stream complete with ducks runs close by.

After a lovely walk up Pendle Hill we finished up at the ice cream shop. I had a chocolate cone with one scoop of raspberry ripple cost £2. Tasted very nice and creamy! Would recommend.

Visited this beautiful village today and called in at the ice cream shop for our lunch. Nice selection of sandwiches, pies, crisps, cakes, drinks and of course ice cream. Very helpful lady and nice display on the shop of all the tv and films that have been set there.

We were just having a little walk around the village and came across the ice cream shop, its very traditional and the staff were lovely and friendly, the ice cream was very good, just what we needed on such a hot day.

How cute is this? The server saw our tour bus pull in and ran down to open the shop. Downham was such a charming area. Excellent ice cream they make themselves and fun flavors (marscapone passionfruit). Cash only.

This is a lovely, traditional ice cream shop. It lovely on a sunny day as they have outdoor seating and its in a nice village to walk around. They have about 10 flavours, I recommend the malt teaser personally. There is a free car park just past the shop in the right.

Most enjoyable - sitting on Downham's lovely village green in the sunshine, eating delicious (Mrs Dowson's I think) ice cream.

Perfect ice cream weather and perfect ice cream. Everything about this place is excellent and very reasonably priced.

Cute little shop . Sells really yummy ice cream in about 12 different flavours. Also sells drinks and biscuits etc. We sat by the river in the sun eating ours Perfect!

Quite a little find. Really picturesque cafe and little shop with sandwiches, pies, home made cakes and ice creams. Seating outside overlooking the beautiful village centre. Fabulous.

Went in first for a map and walk suggestions of the local area. Very friendly lady just setting up who was very helpful. On our return we bought a delicious ice cream from the many flavours offered, sat outside in the sunshine. What's not to like?

Very good this was. Nice little spot in a nice little spot. Friendly lady running the joint; think she's a 'white witch'! A few quirky things on sale which we bought and a nice little memory of a nice little overnight stayover in Downton. 🍦

Great location and great ice cream! Polite staff, still very helpful even though it was tipping it down with rain and almost closed! Will go again with better weather!!

We fell across the ice cream shop while we toured the area what a warm welcome the lady in the shop was lovely we have tea coffee sandwiches and ice cream it was all lovely and nice to sit out with the ducks

Its a small pleasure but we have tried many similar places selling ice cream & for us nothing comes close to the quality ice cream in the small Downham tea room .
