Just ordered a meal for 3 it was the worst Chinese we have ever tasted everything was dry and flavourless as if it had been warmed up from a few days ago didn’t even taste Chinese we phoned them to complain they had nothing to say apart from they would tell the chef we asked if he could phone us we are still waiting, don’t waste your money on a meal from here it’s gone downhill we wont be ordering from here again

Spent 12.60, ordered a portion of egg fried rice, a portion of seaweed and some beef chow mein. Came with some free prawn crackers. The chow mein was a little bland but okay, but everything else was top notch flavours, great value for money overall and very generous portion sizes!

We ordered a delivery from here for the first time and were incredibly impressed! It is the best Chinese takeaway we have had for years, everything was super fresh and delicious - and generous amounts of every item we ordered too. We also got a whole free meal too which was very kind. The delivery was also insanely fast - we ordered through their app and was here within half an hour on a Friday night. To top it off the value was great and super cheap - without a doubt the best value for money we’ve had with a Chinese. Thanks so much!

Absolutely shocking food cheap cuts of meat and the food was tasteless will never go there again wasted most of it

Bland food, ordered meat spring rolls and recieved just bean sprouts wrapped in pastry, crispy shredder beef (with no beef in sight). Chow mein was more veg than noodles, seaweed had zero taste and wasn't crispy- chips were the best part!! definitely wouldnt not order from here again! Very disappointing & expensive for what we received.

My favourite Chinese take out. I always collect as I live close, but always great tasting and fresh dishes 👌🏼

We have used Double Dragon for some years now. Can’t understand some of the bad reviews on here. Our favourites are Salt & pepper King prawns, Salt & Pepper Chicken Wings to name just two. Give them a try, you won’t be disappointed!

DO NOT ORDER In laws ordered from here the food came cold Noodles were dry chips were overdone spring rolls were soggy and the egg fu young looked like something a cat threw up I called them 3 times to get abused over the phone and the phone put down on me terrible food terrible staff money wasted if I could give 0 stars I would

Solid Chinese takeaway, like anywhere they aren't perfect but I'd recommend.

Really bad food, had duck and lamb and both were just the pieces of fat and not the meat, awful bland soggy chips. Will never buy again. Feel sick, was really looking forward to it as menu looks awesome

We ordered a family takeaway last week from our favourite Chinese takeaway. Unfortunately it all went downhill really quickly I had the beef curry the kids had there usual noodles .the curry looked different to usual I put this down to a different chef.sadly I was sat in the bathroom 2 hours later and then proceeded to vomit for the next 24 hours.really disappointed as we always loved the food here.wont be risking it again I'm afraid

Do not order from here absolutely disgusting only thing we could tase was the dirty chip oil they'd used to cook the noodles in chicken fried rice in and everything else we ordered was taste less even the curry sauce had no flavour (if you can call it that) was nasty all went in bin what a waste of nearly £50

The most disgusting chinese food I've ever eaten. I normally go somewhere up the road but it was closed. I ordered Singapore chow mein which I've had from many places but this food was sloppy, looked mouldy and what I did dare to try tasted of curry powder. Never again!!!

It's OK but the meat we ordered were tough as hell and definitely not freshly cooked.

Worst Chinese I’ve ever had. Don’t waste your money. Bland food majority of it thrown in the bin waste of time and money.

Awful food. I ordered the A2 salt & pepper box and curry sauce and threw most of it away after trying it. It was supposed to come with wings, however the one drumstick they sent had grey batter on the outside. I stripped the meat etc off the bone and found black stuff there. All the food tasted pretty bad and was far from fresh. I suspect that, apart from the chips, it had all been reheated at least once previously and cooked in oil that hadn't been changed in a long time. Delivery was quick, Chips ok, curry sauce not bad but as for the rest of it, it was possibly the worst takeaway I've ever had.

This is my first time ordering here and noticed it had some very polarised reviews, so I thought I'd chime in. Some of these bad reviews are nonsensical and borderline abusive. Do they have a personal grudge? Anyway, thankfully my experience was all good, and a pleasant surprise in some ways. I used their own online ordering site and found it easy and reassuring to get a text and email straight away confirming the order. No extra fees like with JustEat or Uber Eats. I wish more Chinese takeaways would use this method. The prices were good too, they haven't hiked them up as much as most other Chinese takeaways around here, which have almost priced me out. I ordered beef chow mein (dry), salt & pepper shredded chicken, sweet & sour pork balls, and their 'normal' spring rolls. All the food was perfectly cooked, hot, big portions, and nicely flavoured. I particularly liked the light-handed seasoning as I find other Chinese takeaways put too much salt in, which just makes you feel ill after eating. This place got it just right. There was lots of tender beef in the chow mein. My only problem was the spring rolls were actually just one huge spring roll which had not been drained off for long enough before packing, so it was sitting in a pool of grease (the rest was still crispy). A shame as 20 seconds more would have made all the difference. Half a point off for that but I'll give them 5 anyway as the delivery came in 30 mins rather than the predicted 45, and the delivery driver was friendly and polite. Will order again!

By far the most awful food I have ever tasted. The dishes rates the same even though they were supposed to be different. The mixed veg and oyster sauce was mainly onion. Avoid avoid.

I have ordered from this shop for the very first time, food arriving on time and are warm. their portion of egg fried rice has been loaded to the maximum top and perhaps is the tastier egg fried rice I have been ordered in Sheffield. We have ordered other dishes such as salt and pepper chicken, sweet and sour chicken, black bean beef and it taste fresh and yummy and portion are generous as well. The shop owner is also very friendly and nice. Definitely will order from them again. Highly recommended. XX

Had a delivery from here last night and had to throw the whole lot in the bin not only was the food disgusting it actually didn't look safe to eat and smelt of mould i dread to think what would have happened if we had eaten it, i definitely will never be ordering from here again.

I will never order from here again the food was disgusting we all threw it in the bin it smelt mouldy and didnt look edible .The sweet and sour sauce was vile it was the worst chinese food I've ever had and i don't think it was safe to eat!

Ordered s+s king prawns and s+s king prawn balls.. The prawns were disgusting. t, they were hard and rubbery so i called them up and they wanted the food back and because we had ate 2 or 3 king prawn balls they would not refund the whole £12. The food was also cold when it arrived..The guy that came tried to tell me that we shouldnt have the s+s sour king prawns Cantonese style because "they are no good".I said what are you talking about i am chinese and we owned a chinese takeaway and prawns DO NOT TASTE LIKE THIS! In the end i told him to take his £2 away and i would be doing a review .. BTW this is the first time ive ever done a review on anything but when its wrong its wrong!!!

I Was at my daughters house when we decided to ordered a take away from the DOUBLE DRAGON Chinese take away, when it came it was disgusting and not properly cooked, we had no alternative but to send it back.

Worst food ever yesterday rice yesterday’s chips and curry sauce was horrible will never ever order from here again and if I was you I’d try else where how the hell are these people open needs shutting down and prices for there food it’s expensive

Beware! This person stole a shovel from the communal area after food delivery. We noticed through the balcony how he carried the shovel to the car and ordered him to return it back. Also, no respect, drove to the grass. I wonder if he is ashamed of this act?

If zero stars were possible thats what would be given, one of my meals was sent with melted plastic from a sauce tub , I called the restaurant and was given nothing but abuse, I was as nice as a person could be given the situation. After reading the reviews and experiencing this myself I will not be ordering agian and I recommend anyone else who wants a Chinese to order from elsewhere.

Had salt and pepper box. Always been a fan of the place but not anymore. Did not enjoy the food at all. Egg fried rice had no flavour. Ribs were deep fat fried plastic. Curry sauce was awful. Disappointed.

Pretty decent Chinese. Only Chinese that opens late, although Not keen on chicken balls not sure if they were underdone or..? Chicken was cooked but batter was not very pleasant. Rice and spring rolls are bang on. Prompt delivery, delivery man was polite. free prawn crackers and fortune cookie is much appreciated

We ordered 2 salt & pepper boxes. It took over an hour for our food to be delivered. When it did come, it was cold & we had to put it in the microwave to warm up. There was no curry sauce or rice. We won't be going here again

Always go to double dragon but today the food wasn't great. The ribs were just fat and the chips have been changed, nowhere near as good as usual!

Went here for the first time, I found the shop rather run down in appearance, but have been to other places that appear this way and have great food. This was no exception, the portion size was generous too. I will go again.

My husband and I have been using the Double Dragon for quite a while now. The food is absolutely fantastic, massive compliments to the chef. Julia who answers the phone is the nicest, most friendly person and so very efficient. The sweet and sour king prawn Cantonese style is the best I have ever ever had as is the beef curry and the spicy beef chow mein, thin and dry. The portions are very very generous. This takeaway is by far the best in Sheffield ( believe me, I have tried most of them) If you go you will not be disappointed.

We ordered takeaway from Double Dragon recently for the first time, having read mixed reviews but thought we’d give them a try. I’m so glad I ordered to collect and could see the state of the premises. The front of house was absolutely filthy. There was a fish tank that was almost black, I could not see if anything was alive in there. The door to the kitchen was propped open and it looked equally filthy in there. The person who served me at the counter also appeared dirty and clearly had poor hygeine; not the presentation you’d expect to represent your company. I paid for our meal but could not bring myself to even open it, let alone eat anything. The idea made me feel ill.

We order from here a lot but tonight was so disappointing we are a family of 6 so it's always over £40 n when we got it tonight it was horrible they did not bring the prawn crackers what I asked for and by the time they got here we had eaten some of it or it would have been cold the duck was slimy the chips was rock hard the ribs was dry and we had them in bbq source the chicken balls was still raw meat was cooked but the batter was not all In all I will not be ordering agen until they sort the kitchen staff out well not worth it 🤮🤮🤮

Best Chinese takeaway we've had for a very long time. More meat than on any others we've had. Will definitely be going there again and it was delivered early! That's never happened anywhere else either!

Have ordered many times from here and never been let down. My latest order was quite plain - fish, chips, curry sauce and a spring roll. The portions are a good size, fish was big with a tasty batter and on a par with my local chip shop, but cheaper, and the spring roll is large and not pre-prepared. Recommended.

We ordered from here tonight due to enjoying our meal last week, We ordered the meal deal 4 meals for 15.50. We ordered the 10 chicken balls with king po sauce to only have 5 delivered so we phoned up . All we could hear in the background was arguing and the bloke on the phone trying to sort it out. The chef said there was nothing he was going to do as you only get 5 with the meal deal, It does not state this then they put the phone down. We phoned back and the person on the end said the chef was telling him to hang up. So the meal deal is not a deal if you do not get what you asked for. The food may be nice but the service tonight was disgsting. will not order from here again

After a hectic night, I was on Woodseats at 8.15 so went to Double Dragon Chinese. Ordered a special omelette which comes with chips. A special omelette to me has a bit of everything in it. This was egg, egg, more egg, peas, a few bits of chicken and one piece of something that wasn’t chicken. No char sui pork. No prawns. No mushroom. And the chips?? I know what reheated chips are like. And these were rock hard and reheated. It’s gone in the bin. Had it not been a trek back there due to Scarsdale Road being shut, I’d have taken it back. The last couple I’ve had from there haven’t been the best but gave them then benefit of the doubt. Tonight has decided me not to go back. Such a shame as this has always been my favourite Chinese. Not any more I’m afraid.

I first discovered this fantastic take away when the one I used to use did not open straight away after lockdown. The food is absolutely wonderful. Superb quality and great portions. The spare ribs with chilli salt and pepper are the best on the planet. Congratulations to the great chef. Also to Julia and Jamie, who take the orders, they are really lovely and so very attentive. This is a take away that never disappoints. Fantastic value and service.

We were walking through Woodseats during the lockdown, and noticed a takeaway leftlet outside, so took it and rang to see if they were open, they were! All very organised took our order we chose to collect ourselves. The food was delicious the quality of the produce is the best I have tasted outside of a restaurant, if you haven't tried it I would recommend the Chicken with vegetables (chop suey)

Wouldn't rate it .. we ordered the noodles and it was legit 95% bean sprouts 5% noodles .. same with the massive spring roll they subbed instead of the 8 we ordered .. couldn't eat it .. so many bean sprouts !!! Spose it's cheaper for them .. the curry was ok ish hardly any meat too many onions and mushrooms 10% meat .. I wouldn't order again

Food came quick due to being microwaved..the sweet and sour pork had hardly any sauce so left it half dry and shrivelled meat was chewy. I rang em up and they where just rude ..wont be ordering again .

Disgusting has to wait 2 hours for the food after calling up the guy was rude on the phone, when it eventually arrived it was only luke warm even though I was told it was later because it was only just being cooked definitely won’t be ordering from there again

It arrived 20 minutes past the time estimated when I placed the order, however, it arrived 45 minutes after the text saying it was on the way. I phoned the restaurant and was told that the deliveryman had returned to replace the order.

Twice I have tried to order something from here where they say the have no minimum order price. Twice they have refused to send an order of spring rolls and Chow Yung Fried Rice. No minimum order price should mean just that. Clearly they don't mind being reported for false advertising.

Worst Chinese food I've ever had! Millions of bean sprouts in everything to bulk it out! I paid £4.50 for crispy wonton and they was empty!! Literally nothing inside them! Highly disappointed! Wont be using again and I have a lot of family and friends in the area that I'll be informing about this! Its takeaways like this that give just-eat a bad name!
