Dorchester Restaurant in Reigate and Banstead

We visited almost all restaurants Several times. In general you will find great quality, well-selected offers and very friendly staff. We love especially the afternoon-tea in the Hall/ Promenade: Excellent tea selection (!!!), rather traditional food and presentation and unique atmosphere. Wine prices ok an in-line with the location. Not too many older vintages: only the famous lables. Rarities are overprized and not very 'enjoyable' as offered; not in-line with the market and competition. Great sprits, especially Whisky. On request you get some really rare and extraordinary stuff! Very crowded during Christmas season but worth to visit, especially for families. Despite kids are not among 'their preffered guests'. Very discrete, professional and friendly.

The Dorchester is only open for lunch. You feel like 40 years back - the menu is written by typewriter and the decoration is in the same way. They are very friendly and always ready for a joke. The food - shepherds pie, fish and chips, ... is all freshly cooked and very good. Worth a visit.
