Stopped by as a one-off as I was in the area. Very impressed. Very small which gives it a more, interment feleing. I had the tacos and a pink fizzy beverage. Very nice.

I tried the spicy wings, enchiladas, beef crunchy tacos and churros. Firstly, the spicy wings and the churros was the only decently good thing i ordered. The beef in the taco was so chewy and had way too much juice sauce inside that it got soggy very fast, the watery spice sauce it came with is absolutely disgusting. The enchiladas tasted like a bunch of mush on a plate, literally toddler food texture. Most of all it is a complete waste of money! Way too expensive for the portions and the quality of the food. I was expecting the place to be more authentic since the interior was beautifully designed but there was no Mexican authenticity in the food at all. Afterwards it left me with a stomachache which never happens, I have a strong stomach but this left me very dissatisfied. Won't return again.

Loved their chargrill chicken.. it was really good. Naked burritos are also amazing too. The most unique part is the Mexican soft drink which is different. The crispy tacos are just average though.

This was my first time coming to don tacos to be honest I was pleased beyond expectations the person at the front greeting me with such a warm smile I felt at home I believe his name was Ebrima I can say with out him I wouldn’t have enjoyed my experience at don tacos

From the moment we walked in Mandy was very welcoming and helpful to me and my partner, service with a smile was the key point of our experience with Mandy. All the staff in the kitchen cooking especially deserve a mention as the food that we ate during this visit was unreal, I just don’t know how they do it! I’m sorry I did not get names. Finally when food was ready to be served we was greeted by such a lovely young gentleman I believe to be called Abou, this young man grafted from the minute we walked in I observed and his work ethic was second to non, he did not stop, he served us with such politeness and nothing was too much for him! A credit to the team he is! I will definitely visit again. Thanks for such a lovely experience guys :)

They have a full vegan ( plant-based) menu, each category as multiple options as well. We got soft tacos - which were delicious, fresh! And quesadillas - which husband enjoyed, but my personal taste I shouldn't of got the mince substitute as I rarely like it. Doesn't take away that both dishes were flavoursome! I was surprised how much was available to vegans. At the moment dishes were 20-30% off due to them celebrating 8 years.

The food is mouth watering/Delicious ! Birria tacos 🌮 with shredded beef and quesadillas with shredded beef both with cheese, pot of guacamole / birria sauce with a squeeze of lime . It hands down the best . No exaggeration. You can choose if you want it hot/medium or mild and it’s HALAL. Love it. Really recommend . It’s not overrated

Recieved the wrong items. The guy in the store was clearly more interested in sorting the music playlist rather than getting my order right. Ordered 2 items for £25 and got both wrong. Won't be back. Don't wate your money or time.

Went with family and got the tacos with shredded meat inside. Not sure the actual name as I didn't order but it was clearly overpriced for what it is.

I recently visited Don Tacos on Wilmslow Road and was thoroughly impressed. The food, especially the birria, was fantastic—rich, flavorful, and well-prepared. It was my first time trying this place, and it truly felt like a hidden gem. The only downside was that there was only one staff member handling orders, food prep, and service. Despite the overwhelming workload, she was incredibly efficient, providing fast and attentive service. She really made the experience enjoyable, though I couldn't help but feel a bit concerned for her given the heavy workload. Overall, Don Tacos is a great find with excellent food and dedicated service.

Authentic Mexican with a great range of dishes! Highly recommend the Birria Tacos and the Mighty Meat Tacos, they were delicious. Food was well-seasoned and the homemade guacamole was super refreshing. Overall 10/10 for the food, service and the atmosphere. Will be returning, thank you😊

This is one of my favourite restaurants, the beef birria tacos is my go to order trust me you will not be disappointed. The beef is tender, seasoned perfectly and tastes fantastic. I usually always order a soda to go with it they have some great flavours, the guava is my favourite

The birrria tacos are absolutely to die for, along with their quesadillas. I don’t come often because of how pricey it is but the food is truly unrivalled. My only criticism would be that £15.73 for 3 tacos is beyond extortionate… £5 a taco should never be a thing. Extra £2 for lamb/beef anyway I digress. If you want authentic Mexican food it truly is scrumptious.

Don Tacos restaurant serves halal Mexican food. The restaurant is very hospitable. The staff are excellent and wonderful. The food is very delicious. Order a beef burrito. The drink is famous in Mexico called Jaritos. The restaurant is worth a try and I will come back strongly. My burrito with drink was 13.39 pounds

Portions are very small and not filling at all. Food was not bad but wasn't really up to the mark specially for the price they are charging. Improvements required. The atmosphere can be made a bit more appealing by adding some good colours, LED etc.

Food - The Best Mexican Tacos you can get!!! This place is honestly my favourite place to eat. Fresh tacos, beautifully cooked soft pulled meat and a spicy birria sauce. The Lamb chops are top quality and the wings too. Service - Service is fast and efficient but shop could be a bit bigger. You dont wait long for food but if your eating in you will wait long for seating. Price - Good Prices for top quality tacos! 5/5 MUST TRY!!!!!!

The food is absolutely dissapotining being a tacco fan, the worst tacco ive had by far. Litterally all cheese. I wouldnt even give it to my dog. Absolutely waste of money. 0 quality on food quality.

The staff were very pleasant, service was quite slow for a weekday.. food has always been decent but got a steak with rice..half the steak was too chewy to be edible and the rice was literally cold. The staff were very accommodating and made us a new one.. the rice was now hot but the steak unfortunately still very chewy and unedible. The food has always been decent here so don't want to be too harsh but if you're going to charge high prices then the food needs to be on point at all times.

This place was overrated and overpriced. Had Halal Mexican food before, but this place was no where near as good. It was ok, but don’t think I’ll coming back here.

Found a very long black hair inside my food service was disgusting completely got ignored and the food was extremely bad came from a different city just to try it out was very very disappointing felt very sick from the food the whole day definitely DO NOT Recommend!

Found this restaurant by fluke and have to say, it was amazing. Mexican is one of my favourite cuisines and this did not disappoint. I got soft tacos with chicken and they were lovely and full of flavour, the mexican drinks were also very nice. Inside the restaurant is like a flavour of Mexico too, great place. Would go again.

Previously this used to be our regular spot .. and i would also usually recommend to friends …however last few times i have been the experience & food has gone down hill whilst prices have gone up … wont be returning.. No one to greet as you came in / changed the ordering process .. used to be QR code on the table .. Got my order wrong .. paid extra for chicken on Nachos .. came without .. regular portion of Nachos .. tiny portion for £10 .. on a flat plate .. stale packet nachos .. The mains then came .. was missing kids Quesadillas … waited 5-10 mins .. still nothing .. had to ask for kids food when it arrived it came with onions & jalapeños .. had to resend it .. and wait again Birria Tacos .. taco shell was extremely crispy & hard .. not like usual .. esp the beef .. left on the grill too long .. we ate as we were hungry but we didn’t enjoy at all. No one came to check on the table .. how was the food .. lack of care and attention to detail… Will cost you returning customers in the longterm .

Great halal mexican restaurant with flavours very close to authentic mexican food. Food was delicious. Highly recommend their Birria tacos and Quesadilla. We ordered medium and spice level was ok. I would also recommend their chipotle but must warn it’s slightly spicier even if you go for medium spice level. Menu is on the pricier side. Portion size is ok but wasnt enough to fill me up so you may need to order more or have sides. Customer service is excellent. Food was served quickly. Limited seats available, I think there were 6 tables in total. Kid/toddler seat available. I didnt see a washroom facility so be mindful of that. Parking is on the street but because its a busy road spaces are very limited. Best to park on the side roads. Definitely recommend this place if you are looking for authentic mexican food. Shocking. Saw this place on tiktok what a let down. Came all the way from stoke. Tiny stuffy tables squeezed into a corner. Waited ages for a menu to get it and no lie it fell apart in our hands. It was old and tatty. Gordon Ramsay would have a field day in here. The female server...no idea how she even got a job. Ordered the food and mine didn't come till after my family had finished. No apology just told they were cooking the meat.... Told her it was unacceptable and no apology. They were mixing people's orders and it was just so poorly organized. Then as I paid the bill to be told it wasn't out bill ...yo really couldn't make it up. No discount for the fact I rushed my volcanic hot food after my family had finished nothing. Would never ever go back

Having eaten Actual Mexican food in Mexico, I can tell this is an authentic restaurant. Most of their business is delivery. There's a reasonable seating area. Deco is good . Service Time for us was about 20 minutes after we ordered the food . Looks like a family run business. Well mannered staff. Mostly youngsters. I have two criticisms. One is that the food although served piping hot, the dressings used come straight from the fridge. That gives a strange contrast. Hot food with freezing cold veggies and sauces dressing. Second criticism is phone calls . If you ring them for info, you won't get accurate info We rang to ask if we can pre order food on the Internet, pay for it and come to restaurant to eat? We were told by whoever attended the call, that we can't, but on their website it's totally possible. We found later. You can't pre book a table either. Restaurant is busy enough , to not bother with pre bookings, as they lose seating space , and no guarantee if the person making the booking will turn up. But it will be good to have this as an option, even with a requisition of a small deposit. Overall enjoyed the visit and the menu. Totally recommended.

Dine in for two. The nachos with chicken went down a treat. Nothing left over, really enjoyed it. The biria tacos and quesadillas were on point. Packed plenty of flavour. Will definitely come back again

This was mediocre at best! For a place that claim to have “authentic” Birria, it was exceptionally unexceptional. Not much flavour, mainly just tastes like beef broth with a pinch of spices in. The so called” habanero” wings which they claim can be really spicy, were almost flavourless. Not a sniff of habanero in there. They seemed to be chargrilled and that was the only flavour that was coming through. You can make better so called “Mexican” food at home. The fact that this place is so highly rated is a testament to how utterly unadventurous the common English palate is. The churros weren’t terrible, although the hazelnut sauce was more just chocolate sauce. And the salsa was nice enough

The foot was alright although the lamb chops were unbearably too spicy. The burrito was nice and the tacos although falling apart they were alright. Price wise I think it was far to expensive for what it was. The corn on the cob (elite) was very bland.

Absolutely vile! Chips were that old they must have been saved from the potato famine. Must have been the 10th time they fried them. Burrito filling mainly the mince was like low grade dog food. Was sloppy with no texture, if i was blindfolded I would have guessed I was eating frogspawn. Avoid at all costs.

Nice little Mexican spot on Wilmslow Road.. They serve authentic Mexican drinks which were really good. We tried a variety, including crispy tacos, quesadillas, enchiladas, and wings. All the meat is Halal, and the chicken and beef were cooked to perfection. My only minor critique was with the wings, which seemed a tad burnt, possibly due to being served on a hot plate. I highly recommend everything else we ordered. The ambiance of the place is warm and cosy with lovely decor and accent lights. However, it might be a bit challenging for larger groups to find suitable seating.

service alone made us walk away before ordering and seeing the tiny portions. and seeing how much food was left over from guests, 2 out of 3 tacos were left over.. not a good sign. and lack of welcoming from a host, had to ask to be handed menus and the additional costs on the menu are laughable. nothing but a over-hype!

Whilst the food is really nice, the portion sizes and the pricing are not. 6 small tacos and 2 bottles of coke between two people for £34 is not acceptable. I even had to go to a second restaurant because I was still hungry. Now I understand why the restaurant is usually empty when I walk past, and they make you pay before eating as people will most likely refuse to pay after being ripped off completely.

Gross food, gross customer service. You pay first so that they can scam and overcharge you without realising. I paid £20 for 4 tacos and an out of date drink. My friends drink was also out of date. The tacos were disgusting, the scent put me off as soon as they put the plate down. Even the sauce smelt nasty. After my first bite I knew I wasn’t going to eat anymore. The menu says the tacos are £13 so how my total was £20 I will never know. Avoid at all costs.

Ordered both the taco and burrito. Both was great and very filling. The beef was alright could be fatter. Service was great.

Absolutely amazing mexican place. Loved the food and staff. Wilmslow land is not my go to when it comes to food because of traffic and very average eateries. But this place is amazing. Food was hot, fresh and flavorful. Staff was friendly and alot of options to choose from. Definitely deserves a try.

That plant based ‘taco’ was probably the worst taco I’ve ever had in my life. What’s funny is that the ELOTE was the BEST corn I’ve ever had in my life. Something to work on. The jackfruit shouldn’t be sour. The sauce made it even more sour. Tamarin or pomegranate, whichever it was, ease up. Tooooooo much. None of it was eaten. Straight I’m the bin. Let’s not be en discuss the nan like “tacos”. Texture was very chewy, thick and wrong. All in all, would recommend because the corn shows their real potential. Hopefully next times better.

Tried the signature salad and beef birria tacos. Flavourful. The place is small and cozy.

Went for the Birria, was not disappointed. Absolutely beautiful, beef was so tender and delicious. Also got the chicken to try, but the beef is the one 👌 The flavours were juicy and bursting. The homemade guac was perfection. Only downside is that’s it’s a small place and tables are limited.

Food is nice, quite spicy even for the medium ones. Weirdly we had to pay for the meal before eating it, which I have never seen before. But really what will make me not coming back is the sight of a cockroach on the floor walking between tables. I'm sure it's not the only place in Wilmslow road with cockroaches but that's the first time I've seen one there. Also a bit on the overpriced side for Wilmslow road, £55 for 3 (not very big) portions.

I received great service and care whilst here. The staff were attentive, food was flavoursome, and overall a great experience. Staff accomodated all requests and were very polite. Also, I'm sick of trying the same cuisine over and over on the Curry mile so it's refreshing to see something different on therr that's actually decent. Will definitely be visiting again and looking forward to trying more dishes on the menu.
