Dominicks in Lancaster

Well over an hour late and the order was wrong - they sent someone else's order to my address and wouldn't believe me when I said that was not what I ordered onlline. They asked me to go and prove it. They blamed me and Just Eat and wouldn't accept any responsibility. I called them idiots as that's exactly what they are (the company - apologies to the girl as she was just trying to help). But the male/owner - never ever experienced customer service like that before. Absolute disgrace arguing with a customer. Soon to be closed on that basis.

£45 of pizza never arrived. Called Dominicks. The Glaswegian on the phone said it was nothing to do with them and take it up with JustEat. Will never order again.

Paid for a chicken burger that was meant to come with lots of extras...all missing just a piece of lettuce, chips have the potential to be good, but they put something on them and they are really salty. (i had forgotten this from the last time) They did ring to say did i want the order sooner...which was nice.

I’m not being funny; either they do gluten free pizza or they don’t. they’ve lost another large order because for reasons unfathomable they aren’t doing gf pizzas tonight. If they were at least reasonably priced I might forgive them, but really. Poor.

Ordered food for delivery when over an hour late rang to be told it was waiting for delivery driver, went to collect instead and only part of the order was ready when got home burger was stone cold (which had been in the warmer suggest they turn it on next time) so ended up in the bin. Used to be good food but won’t be visiting again

I’d have put this on trustpilot but not registered so here we are , twice in one week promised one hour over two hours later nothing so rang and advised nothing they can do about it ! Went somewhere else food arrived within 30 mins piping hot ! Things have gone downhill used to be amazing

I ordered from here for the first time, as it seems to be the only takeaway with multiple options for vegan customers. My boyfriend (non-vegan) ordered a 12 inch ham and pineapple pizza and loved it. I have to say it looked delicious. For myself, I bought the vegan banana and maple ice-cream sundae. It was everything I wanted and more. The portion size was incredible, great ratio of bananas to ice cream and just so tasty. I have only eaten here once but must say, it was a very positive experience!

God knows how they stay in business? I have never known a takeaway to be shut at 10pm on a Sat evening!! The last few times we have tried to get takeaway on the way home from town they have had some excuse on why they have had to shut early! Maybe let your customers know via Facebook so they have the option to go elsewhere. By the time we get to Moor Lane where they are based there is nowhere else to go. We could accept an occasional hiccup but this happens all the time. They need some competition nearby so they will start to actually run as a business rather than a half hearted attempt at a takeaway. Such as shame as the food is really nice (when you do manage to get it)

Ordered burger and chips. Very good food. Slightly pricey but defo worth it. The chips are amazing and the burger has loads of good fresh ingredients. Also love the variety of the menu there's loads to choose from! Despite waiting a while, it was worth the wait cos it tasted like it was all cooked fresh. Also very hot. Will defo order again!

I got Dominicks as a treat for passing my tests, when it arrived, the delivery man was very friendly and kind. I had pizza which was warm and tasted extremely great. The burger and chips tasted great too.

I had the three cheese parmo, I found two chicken breaded chicken with the three cheese topping a generous portion, very good flavours, chicken was moist (hate that word but true) but it was very good meal My husband had the pulled pork chicken parmo with coleslaw and he found it very nice and very filling, he really enjoyed it.

Firstly I understand that during this covid 19 pandemic things are strange and different but when I arrived I was bluntly informed that they where only taking orders online. Not a problem normally but the young lady could of been more professional with her approach, I do understand that you was busy but manners cost nothing. I ordered a fully loaded 12 inch pizza, and a simple bacon cheese burger and homemade coleslaw. Quite a small order but was instructed by just eat that my order would be one hour and twenty minutes! Endeavouring to try and quicken my order I call them to tell them that as I only lived around the corner, once ready I would collect, saving waiting time for delivery. They informed me that they would ring me when it was ready to collect. To my surprise after waiting 1 hour thirty minutes and still not hearing from them I contacted them for an update only to be told that they was busy serving customers in store and I would just have to wait my turn. One and a half hours earlier I was informed that they would only accept orders over the Internet! After waiting two hours! I eventually got my order. Now you would of thought with the length of time it had taken the meal would of been perfect! Far from it, the burger was cooked within an inch of its life and was burnt, dry and brittle, the pizza was even worse with far too much cheese and overcooked. Considering it was now 10pm I choose not to contact them again for the third time and decided that I just wouldn't go back to them again. Awful food, awful service, over priced! Never again!

Loads of delicious vegetarian options. Never had food like theirs from any other takeaway. A huge range of meals, so there's always something for everyone.

I live just round the corner from Dominick's and get the pizzas quite often. I used to like it when they were served in the Gregson, seemed really suited to that setting. The takeaway is good. The pizzas are ready when they say they will be and it's easy to collect from them (I haven't ordered a delivery). The pizzas aren't authentic Italian style pizzas but they are very tasty, cheesy and satisfying and the garlic in the crust is a real treat.

So Dominicks has always been my go to takeaway. Last two times I have ordered delivery has taken over two hours (1 hour post estimated delivery time) when I call to question after an hour and half to be told “you’d be better to come and collect it” “there’s 4 orders ahead of yours”. The food is always great when it arrives but this is overshadowed by the ridiculous waiting time and lack of apology from staff on the phone. I will be finding another takeaway from now on

Just ordered pizzas from here and they are th best we have had in lancaster by far. My partner doesnt normally eat pizza but he throughly enjoyed these and said we can have them again! So thumbs up all round. 😁

Absolutely fantastic Hawian pizza 10, inch for myself & a southern fried chicken wrap & cheese for my wife , we have used this , take away several times Always been satisfied

£16 for a burger,2 portion of greasy chips,and 2 cans of pop,the double cheeseburger had 1 burger on it and no cheese,gone down hill,wont be going back,shame use to be so good

Be careful if you order from Dominiks - we just ordered again after a couple of weeks and when I checked the price he gave on the phone it was 6.00 more than on the paper menu we have so we rang back to check...

We ordered here a couple of times recently, and collected our food. Lots of choice (we tried pizzas, burgers, burritos) and all ready quickly for collection. Recommended.

The food is good, however the staff are rude and unfriendly. I asked for a 12" pizza to be told No? I had to ask why, they said only doing 10" tonight! Ok I'll have a 10" then on a thin base, No! Again, yet...

I rang up one evening with the intention of ordering a takeaway and the staff member I spoke to was incredibly rude. I hadn't ordered from them before so I asked the staff member a few basic questions (e.g. do you deliver, can I pay by card etc), and they were very curt and spoke to me as if I was totally stupid. The staff member came across as if me calling up was a total inconvenience to them. They also cut me off in conversation to serve another customer and said that I had to wait. I eventually hung up because they had completely put me off. Terrible customer service! Very unhelpful and unwelcoming.

Frequently purchase pizza from this place both take-away and sit-down in the Gregson next door. It is definitely one of the best places for pizza not only in Lancaster, but probably in the north. However, this does come at a price, and that is time! 9/10 it takes a long time for your pizza to be delivered, this is probably due to popularity. c'est la vie! I normally plan around it and order in advance knowing I will be waiting... However, I have been caught out on those 1/10 occasions where your pizza suddenly arrives super quickly, and you aren't quite ready for it (or one time, in the shower!!). A minor grumble, when ordering via Just Eat is that they often miss out on reading the notes. I've asked for things to be left off, or added etc. and often it's ignored. In the past I called to rectify it (i had a guest who was allergic to an ingredient) and the guy on the phone tried to convince me to simply pick it off!! No. Just no. I don't mind the wait so much, but be a little more 'customer friendly' and i'll be giving you 5*
