What a wonderful experience. We had the all-you-can-eat Raclette. It was delicious. Looking forward to returning to Domaine 16 to sample more of their menu.

We went for raclette evening on Tuesday. The food was divine, the wine lovely and the service phenomenal. Stef and team made a real fuss of my partner on their birthday. First time visiting and it won’t be at all long until we’re back. Highly recommend

After a couple of sub standard birthday dinners..... this was AHMAZING!!! Stephanie made sure that our evening was outstanding! We had pre-ordered the Raclette for 4.... if you do this....bring an appetite! SO MUCH CHEESE as well as delicious meats! We needed more cornichons (which were topped up quickly)...and of course....another bottle of wine (from their great selection!) Our guests from Quebec were impressed to say the least and we felt more like friends than paying customers! Can't recommend highly enough!!

The welcoming was pleasant and staff were very friendly and patient with us. The decor was nice and warming. The food was rather nice but found the bacon fondue a bit overpowering and struggled to eat it. All was good until the bill arrived. On the menu it stated that the bacon cheese fondue was for 2 people and the same with the chocolate fondue too. However we were charged twice for the cheese fondue and once for the chocolate one. If I knew that the price for one person to have the cheese fondue was over £22.50 and we would get charged £45 because 2 of us were eating it and not one, then I wouldn't have ordered it because it was a new experience for me and I was trying something new. For the chocolate fondue we were only charged for one though which to me is a little bit unfair that they are both stated to be portions for 2 yet for the cheese fondue you get charged double. I did ask about this after and was told that for the main course it was only a price on the menu for one person but on the desserts menu was the price for 2 people. Was extremely gutted about that because it was great until then.

Absolutely tremendous. The service from start to finish was some of the friendliest and most attentive I've experienced. The restaurant itself is cosy, comfortable and well laid out. The food is superb, we had the mushroom fondue with black truffle, best fondue I've ever had. Great cheese selection. I shall definitely be returning to further explore the menu offerings. Great little spot, highly recommended.

As a lover of all things cheese couldn’t wait to dine here on a visit to Cheltenham. In what appears to be a converted residence there’s not a lot of space in the upstairs room, the place was full and the staff busy. The Nduja sausage scotch egg starter was really tasty. Opted for the fondue with bacon for two, there was plenty of cheese to share and we needed extra bread. However, it was probably a bit on the salty side and in hindsight we would have opted for a different flavour. We were too full to try dessert though!

Had a brilliant meal on our first visit. Opted for fondue with bacon and it was delicious. Lots of gluten free options and no fuss made about providing them. Service was fantastic and a really chilled ambiance. Would highly recommend

It was a long time since we'd had a fondue ... and we'd never had one professionally produced. It had always been at home with a fashionable 70s/80s fondue set. So we couldn't resist the Domaine 16 (or D16) menu that specialises in a creative offering of cheese dishes ... especially a range of fondue choices. We opted for a 'Forager' with wild mushrooms and confit garlic. It was a good tasty meal ... and enough fun to stay 'on theme' with a rich dark chocolate fondue dessert. Sliced fruit, marshmallows and pretzels with a chocolate dip you could finish off with a spoon. With the friendly, attentive service it all ticked so many boxes that I lost count. Highly recommended.

What a super restaurant, the staff were friendly helpful, and efficient the food was everything I’d hoped for and more we had the bacon fondue , with a charcuterie board and a good bottle of white wine = perfection could not of got better anywhere, thank you for my birthday treat that too was lovely as well

We discovered it on Trip Advisor and so pleased we did! We adore proper cheese and so to get a whole restaurant dedicated to it…amazing!! We had dinner at 6pm pre-theatre (Everyman), which worked brilliantly, as it’s just a 1 minute walk away. We shared delicious cheesy choux buns to start & then the mushroom fondue for main, with several sides and then I had the sorbet to finish, which were grapefruit and blood orange. The food was amazing and there were so many other things on the menu we wanted to try and will need to go back for. The wine was also great, with some really interesting vineyards, including wines by the glass and half bottle. Highly recommend and we’ll be heading back!

This feels like stepping into someone's living room: if that living room was stocked full of incredible cheeses. We came in for a birthday celebration as a group of 4, with barely another 8 people filling the restaurant. The classic fondue was fantastic, with a wealth of bread and potatoes to accompany with the cheese and meats spread. Of further note were the camembert wedges and the Nduja scotch egg; both incredibly good. In short a lovely, informal restaurant with a great atmosphere and similarly good food and a surprisingly good espresso martini. We'll certainly be back!

Turned up thinking I’d booked but I hadn’t - they were wonderful about it finding us a table. The food was excellent - scotch egg soft and tasty, peppery olives followed by a 3 cheese fondue - so good - and one person had the burger which was excellent. Fab service, balance of attentive but not overbearing. Finished with a Cafe Gourmand of dreams. Will DEFINITELY go again. Recommended.

Love this restaurant. Early evening bacon fondue with a small charcuterie board and a glass of Chardonnay, what’s not to like? Great service, amazing cheese (served with bread and potatoes and lovely caper berries, little gherkins and marinated cherry tomatoes with the charcuterie) and a lovely atmosphere. Friendly, warm and welcoming.

Raclette Tuesdays are a hidden gem! Thought it would be busier which would have added to the atmosphere but the staff were lovely, attentive & polite, and the food was delicious! Very cosy evening & would highly recommend!

Came here for bottomless raclette and it did not disappoint. Raclette comes with charcuterie and potatoes and both were tasty. The cheese used in raclette was also tasty not just some average cheese. As far as bottomless goes it really was, the waitresses were always around and keeping an eye and the plates were free flowing. Definitely wasn't a case of it's "bottomless" but if we ignore you for 20 minutes you only get 3 plates. I stopped after 5 and honestly couldn't eat anymore. A shout out to the chocolate dipping pudding too absolutely did not need it after all that cheese but was equally just as tasty, very much wanted to drink the dipping chocolate.

Taken to D16 by our local Cheltenham friends. What an awesome little restaurant. Great welcome and service. Unique and honest menu of French style goodies. The extra long charcuterie board was amazing - melted cheeses, home made scotch eggs, meats etc. Sat looking at the raclette cheese dripping in the background - definitely a plate of that next time! Would 100% recommend.

Fantastic food, excellent staff highly recommend

Thank you to Steph and the dream team! Came here as a treat for my mum and we all thought it was fabulous. We had the 3 cheese fondue and a cheese and charcuterie board for 2. The food was simply divine. We also sampled some delicious wines and ports with our lunch. We were very lucky to walk in off the street, very early on Saturday afternoon and get a table. I can’t wait to come back and I’d highly recommend this venue.

Delicious raclette and chocolate fondue!

My first visit was for Cheeseburger Night. The staff were friendly and helpful but in a restaurant with fifteen covers, we waited over an hour for five burgers and chips. The ambiance was pleasant though and we chatted happily while we waited and the wine flowed. Unfortunately my beef patty was burned so I could barely cut it, and cold with a raw slice of cheese which wasn't even melted. The chips though were fabulous. Looking back I should have said something but didn't want to spoil the evening by complaining. Nor wait another hour for it to be remade. It hasn't put me off though and reviews for the fondues are all good, so maybe will try that next time.

Brilliant evening, great staff and the nicest cheeseburger I think I've ever eaten!

Just the two of us for dinner. The truffle fondue is insane and I thoroughly recommend using the pigs in blanket to dip in it. Stephanie and the rest of her team work hard to deliver wonderful food in the most relaxed environment. Already planning our next visit.

This place. Just insane! I have been a fair few times and want to try everything but it’s so hard as the fondue is incredible so slowly inching our way through the menu. We love the place, the food, the staff and lovely Steph.

Their cheese fondue is to die for and staff is extremely friendly. We also tried a charcuterie board and some green vegetables which we thoroughly enjoyed. As for a little something extra: I don't think I've ever enjoyed and/or appreciated the music playing in a restaurant as much as here!

After a long drive from Yorkshire, this was an excellent choice for a relaxing lunch. The French host, Stephanie, friendly and obliging; the wine, although with a limited choice by the glass, well selected; the food - well, far too many delicious sounding choices for just one visit, but the burrata salad and the lunch menu charcuterie and cheese board were delicious. We hope to visit again.

Food was not bad all and great ambience

Very good service - we were very well looked after. The menu is small but with a good choice. The burgers were lovely with unexpected fried cheese included and salads had lovely dressings. Best of all was the amazing lemon meringue pie!

We tried Domaine16 for their Bottomless Raclette. It’s safe to say I definitely over indulged… The new potatoes were absolutely delicious on their own, let alone with melted cheese on top. The meats and pickles on the charcuterie board was also really tasty. We had a side of baguette and even that was delicious. Service was impeccable and the staff were so lovely and accommodating. We finished with the chocolate fondue which was also delicious.

Domaine 16 is an absolute playground for chesseheads. It’s the sort of place you go into and just lose track of the passage of time. One minute it’s 7.00pm and then you look up from the remains of your cheese and it’s suddenly 11.30pm, If you’ve been been to Las Vegas and entered a casino, you’ll know what I mean. The service is as familiar and attentive as when the friend you haven’t seen for a while whose house you have gone to for dinner brings you a dinner that would win any episode of Come Dine Me. I know lots of adjectives but let’s keep this simple - the food is delicious. And based on the two bottles of Sancerre we had, the wine list is well chosen and reasonably priced. We will definitely be back. I wish there was a Domaine 16 in East London!

Paid around £35 for a pot of cheese between two, which was less than half full - prob a third full - not enough for the bread and potatoes and definitely not enough for a charcuterie board. They also have no olive oil/balsamic vinegar for dipping, if you run out of cheese so we were basically just eating dry bread and meat at the end. The food was gorgeous, it was just very poor value for money. You should have enough fondue for all your food. Fondue places usually get the balance right and for the money you pay they could definitely give you more than you get.

SO... I don't write many reviews however, I HAD to write this one. Domain 16, in terms of staff, atmosphere, and of course, the food, is one of the best restaurants I've ever been to. I've been to france many times, and the food in Domaine 16 beats everywhere I've eaten at in France from memory. I wish your company nothing but success moving forward, phenomenal job. You've got my business, I will be a returning customer, I will bring friends and family to you, and will do nothing but sing your praises. PS for whomever reads this, if you love cheese or know someone who does, you're doing yourself/them a disservice by not going here.
