Dolphin Fish & Chip Shop in Aberdeen City

DELIVERY DID NOT ARRIVE AT MY ADDRESS EVEN THOUGH IT SAID IT WAS DELIVERED!

Good while since last ordered for delivery, usually we phone & collect. Website has altered now but sussed out and tracking option is good. Food excellent as usual.

Very bad and very poor communication

Food came hot. Chips and sausage as expected. Macaroni pie solid crunchy dry top. Wouldn’t order that item again

Food was great as always but delivery was late as always

The cheeseburger was poor, no salad & the burger was brick hard. The fish and chips on the other hand was quite nice.

everything was tasty except the tattie fritters ended up in bin, thick tatties ththat just didn't taste good stuff all, would order again but def not them.

My food was cold and delivery driver didnt go to where he was meant to ended up going to opposite side of hospital and i had to walk to him to collect it as he was going everywhere that he wasnt meant to very un satisfied with cold food and timing

One gripe. The burger occasionally gets fried for a couple of seconds too long. Aside from that still fantastic food.

there is no option for a battered burger so I ordered a cheeseburger and in the notes I asked them to kindly batter my burger. well arrived not batted and no explanation. so I phoned. they don't do battered burgers unless you phone. but just eat has my number and surely they could have phoned and asked if I wanted that option or not. chips good though.

Great service and good quality food

Chips are usually great. Maybe not this time. There were some rubbery ones. Burger a bit overcooked. V tasty but needs to maybe not be deep fried or at least a little less. As I said the burger is tasty just sometimes a little tough. And the chips are usually great.

This was my first visit, purchased 2 fish suppers, staff make you feel welcome, the shop is really clean and inviting, the fish suppers were freshly cooked, and crispy batter (my favourite) fish was nice a succulent, chips nice and fresh, (hot and tasty) a really well sized portion, thankyou staff ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ you have a new customer for sure xx

Ordered a double cheeseburger supper - no chips. Consistently wrong at this Dolphin - never have a problem with the one in town so will stick to that in future

Scampi was huge and delicious, fish was also very tasty with nice batter that wasn't greasy. First time ordering and will definitely use this chipper again

this is the worst takeaway I have ever had and to pay £40+ is outrageous. food overcooked and stuffed into little white bags. the burger was squished and had the most foul taste ever, defiantly not worth the money. won't be ordering from here again!

I ordered this meal at 17:29 and until i left the house at 21:30 it still had not been delivered i still am waiting on delivery of this meal

Very busy time and app kept us up to date with the delivery time but quite a bit later than the estimated delivery. It's still worth the wait as the good is really good and we were not in a hurry but it would be better if the estimated delivery time had been more accurate.

batter on pudding totally soggy,no crispiness at all. Batter of fish crispy on top but soggy underneath. Fish and pudding good taste but badly let down by batter which until recently has been consistently good. Has there been a change of fryer? Might need to take a break from this chipper - shame

This is the best fish and chips I’ve ever had. Wow. Absolutely delicious! Crispy on the outside, fresh and delicious and yummy chips too. So good!

Didn’t arrive. Telephoned chipper who advised that they had never received order from just eat

Only received my order 10 mins ago and it’s freezing. Man called to say his ap crashed so he didn’t know address 20 mins ago. I thought he was at the chipper but when I asked him he said no he had been driving about with my order so by the time it got to me it was cold. Never using just eat again after this. Twice in one week I have had issues with an order.

Order for delivery at 1800hrs delivered 18.37hrs. Not a happy bunny!

This wasn’t our usual good quality of food. The tattie fritters were sliced thinner than usual & were over cooked. The fish wasn’t that great either. The chips were afa peely wally. Tonight’s order wasn’t the best from the dolphin as we always get the best chipper from here.

The picture showed fish with chips but there was no chips. Even the name of the place says fish and chip. Very misleading. If you don't give chips with the food then it least mention that chips are not included despite what the picture shows! Won't order again.

Everything was spot on. Never noticed what time it had arrived. The white puddings are the best we’ve ever had before. As usual the deep fried chicken pie was amazing but the chicken fillets were slightly overcooked. This is out go too chipper.

Driver couldn't find the house. I had to go out in the rain to collect it from the main car park.

As always our meals were spot on from The dolphin (old police station). Just loving the tattie fritters & the white pudding was spot on. My hubby really enjoyed his breaded chicken fillets. The only downfall I have is the temperatures. Ive never had problems before as everything is usually roasting, but this is our second delivery this week & both times the food was warm.

Jumbo haddock - perfect, with zero bones. Mushy peas, nice and soft and curry sauce perfect spice and consistency. smoked sausage good and chips good too. Only disappointment no option for salt & vinger added.

Everything was fantastic as usual but I did feel the temperature wasn’t as hot as our orders usually are. I’m just loving the tattie slices, AMAZING! The delivery driver was a bit impatient as he knocked twice. I struggle with pain so it does take a wee while before I get to the door. If only he rang the intercom then there would be no problem.

Nearly two hours late , numerous phone calls and hassle, definitely not be using Just Eat ever again 💩😢

Everything was cooked to perfection and really enjoyable.

Food was luke warm as driver seemed to go the long way round. Also pizza in batter was just pizza dough in batter no toppings at all

Perfect as usual from the Dolphin chipper (police station). The jumbo haddock supper was definitely a plate full. Never manage to finish it. You canna beat a deep fried pie, lush. Tried the fried tatties & they were amazing. Took 10 as I didn’t know what to expect & 10 is far too much for 1. To save waste i will reheat them later on. The Dolphin is our go to chipper, food always arrives hot & on time. Plus get updates if delivery is delayed to which we got last night. Highly recommend the dolphin
