Great place. I’ve been to Aberdeen several times and of all the bars and restaurants I’ve been to, this place was especially memorable. Excellent mint tea, carbonara, superbly served pizza and pleasant staff, emphasizing the atmosphere of this establishment. I also managed to try a couple of desserts, a very good portion, it seems small but very rich, there are desserts both super sweet with caramel and a restrained taste of cocoa. No one from our company remained indifferent. Definitely recommend. Large selection, tasty and atmospheric.

Regrettably, this isn't the best of zizzis, and I've been a few. The food is a bit lame, if edible, it feels like the kitchen don't bother. The children's food was an insult to children, ropey isn't the word. Yea it's basically in a shopping centre but that's no excuse. Top 3 worst restaurants in the granite city... so far. Needs a lot of work to be even average.

I rang in advance to see if they could cater for my intolerance because it’s not a well known one and they said they could do as long as we tell them at the door. We arrived & paid for parking to only be told that they couldn’t accommodate for my intolerances. I wouldn’t be frustrated if we had just showed up because I’m used to not being able to eat in certain restaurants but the fact I phoned in advance and they said they could cater for me was disappointing!

I wish I could give service 6 stars! As a tired mum who didn't have time to cook, I took my daughter for a dinner date to Zizzi's. We went for mains with sides and both came delicious and satisfying! The staff was incredibly friendly and approachable and my daughter commented how she liked when people are cheerful and friendly. We left with full bellies and a big smile on our faces! We'll definitely be back!

If you’re looking for authentic Italian dog food then this is the place for you. Unfortunately, I am not an Italian Greyhound. Staff were lovely and attentive.

Very nice pub for a relaxing bite. I had a G&T with the Macaroni and Cheese with Chorizo Crumble appetizer. This was perfect for a quick meal after a long airplane trip. Convenient to the Leonardo Hotel in downtown Aberdeen. Very good service

Had 3 dishes, all of them were lovely. Salted caramel brownie - dessert Spiedini - Zizzi's favourite Roquito - Zizzi's favourite From now they're my favourite too :) Pricy, but worth. Students can avail the 30% off I'm definitely coming next time whenever its possible. WC not available

Very interesting museum with plenty of other activities ongoing. The cafè serves affa fine pieces.

We were out and about in Aberdeen and quickly looked for something to eat, we found it, especially because the pizza is actually baked in a wood-fired oven and all in a shopping center! The food was very good and the service too! We would definitely come again!

I ordered a pizza advertised as double cheese plus I paid for extra cheese but it didn’t look like that plus the cheesey garlic bread was tasty but it only had a small amount of cheese on it. Not worth the money

Interesting food, if you are looking for authentic Italian food this is not the place. Do not order the garlic bombe it was not cooked at all and the inside was just a bunch of raw dough. For mains I had a sticky pork pizza, I can understand how people would like this but this wasn’t definitely not for me. Not the restaurant fault I definitely could have tried something different. I also ordered chips for sides these were great. I would also recommend ordering the Sanpellegrino lemon as drink this was great. Overall staff were nice food came in a reasonable time and prices weren’t that bad. But the waiters keep touching THE food not just the plates, without washing their hands that’s disgusting. If you can go somewhere else to eat I probably won’t come back here.

Lovely meal to celebrate my partner’s birthday.

I do like Zizzi but I have had issues with my food last two visits (in 2 different locations). I ordered something with a couple of items to be removed- each time the kitchen didn’t remove both. This put me off the food. The front of house staff were lovely and very apologetic- it’s a shame the kitchen staff have let them down.

Located inside the shopping centre right up the escalator, this spot has a nice ambience to it complimented by the loveliest staff and appetizing dishes.

Great meal, served by happy, smiling efficient staff. It maybe a large chain of restaurants sited in a shopping centre but it doesn’t feel like that. We will definitely return

Zizzi was quite busy when we arrived, second time this week!! Ewan the barman was exceptional and served our drinks promptly and even took our food order. I had the Milanese Chicken which was lovely, my sister had the butternut squash salad which was delicious. Very reasonably priced, great atmosphere and very clean. Staff are friendly and attentive....No complaints at all.

One server was pretty rude and telling us the vegan cheese is not nice and to get normal cheese (which I can’t have). Didn’t think it was very professional to tell customers that something on their menu isn’t good. He also then proceeded to serve us a coffee with cows milk when oat milk was asked for (luckily it was not an intolerance and just a preference).

Best food and service in Aberdeen and the staff don’t disappoint. Linda

Went with a friend and we wanted to pay for our own items, the man who handed us the bill said if we want to pay individually we can use the app, when we said we want to use card the server said we can work it out ourselves and he stormed off like a child???? No clue what his problem was, then we sat there for several minutes waiting for him to return because he didn't want to wait for us to do a simple sum. Appalling behaviour.

Food was amazing, arrived really quickly. The staff were great with my children (and they can be quite a handful!). Best restaurant in Union Square by far! Will be making this a regular trip!

Great day out and the pizza and ice cream was amazing. Staff are very friendly and helpful and well worth a visit.

Two of us went for a meal. I ordered sea bass and roasted vegetables. The vegetables were good but the fish was dry and very thin. The other person with me ordered mushroom risotto which looked like a plate of semolina pudding. It was very wet and nothing like a proper risotto. We both had pinot grigio rose which was good and the staff were very pleasant and efficient. Poor food. Very disappointed.

I got a pizza and chips and both them were stone cold the pizza was chewy and they didn’t even cut it into slices.

Quite disappointed today. Waited forever. I do understand that the restaurant can be busy but you should estimate the time a bit better.

I walked in, said table for one please. Was asked 'any allergies?', I said yes, and gave my only allergy, she grabbed a black folder. The place was not busy, but she walked me to a table RIGHT next to a family. Like if I had put my arm out, I would have almost touched the woman at the table next to me. So it was awkward, because I was solo, and wanted peace. And not to be sat in am empty-ish restaurant on the shoulders of a random family. Anyways, next, menu plonked down, and the black folder. Zero explanation that it was for allergies, I figured that out by myself. Next without saying anything, again. Walks over to till, grabs a shot glass of something yellow, abruptly puts it down on my table, doesn't say what it is, and walks way... I am thinking... hmmm, ok 👎🏼 I spent a while skimming through this hectic folder, hoping I didn't pick anything I was allergic too. She comes back takes my order. I then also notice that there is a fork, Cucumber and red stuff on the floor under 2 tables next to me... nice. The table next to me gets the wrong thing twice, no explanations, no warmth of any kind (and for minimum wage I do not expect 'service with a smile' or anything - but not cold or rude) and I can hear them saying to one another that the service is 'shocking'. My order comes. It was nothing to write home about. But the different waitress that brough it - at least acknowledged me as a human being. She was kind, she asked if I'd like salt and pepper, cheese. I said all of the above please and we both giggled. That was better. She came back with it, said enjoy, I ate it. The table next to me, saw that interaction, and spoke about the difference. I could hear them, and I was thinking it too. The lady then walked up to the waitress who had been cold and asked for salt, pepper cheese... they hadn't been asked. It was awkward. Anyways, paid £20+ for this experience. I won't be coming back, and will not be recommending.

Great service, food lovely with plenty of vegan options. Baby friendly with high chairs available. Got a free side with the loyalty point on the app, which was a bonus! Shame they didn't have zero alcohol prosecco or wine as it would have been nice with lunch.

First time visiting, thought the decor was nice and the staff were welcoming. Table was a bit sticky when we sat down but hey don't sweat the small stuff. Ordered 2 x kids dishes (3 courses for £7.50, seemed very good value) and a normal pasta dish (beef Ragu) and a pizza. The main meals took an age to arrive and when they did one of kds meals was missing, was told by the waitress it was on its way, no explanation provided and no apology when it did arrive 10 minutes later. Kids pizza was really quite small and left 6 year old still hungry. Adult pizza was decent at best however the pasta dish was tiny, honestly looked stater size. It was actually pretty good but I was still very hungry afterwards. Service was generally slow, kids desserts (ice cream) took 15 minutes to arrive. All in all it was a poor experience, staff were pleasant enough but inattentive. Unsure why service was so slow as the place was fairly busy but didn't appear to be unmanageable. There was an empty dirty table at the window when we arrived that was untouched when we left 90 mins later.

Going down hill. Used to be a lovely place with fantastic service. The last few times we've been in the table is left half cleared for around 10 minutes between courses and the servers walk straight past. Won't be back in a hurry.

Delivery time was good and the pizzas were delicious, but our pizzas were either dropped or handled very poorly by the driver resulting in all of the toppings of the pizzas falling off of the top. We had to take all of the toppings from the edges of the boxes and redistribute them on top like we were making our own pizzas, not paying good money to have them made for us. Very very careless.

Sadly, the items were cold and not up to usual standards.

Pre ordered our family meal so expected things to move quickly, especially after,being told we only had the table for 1-1/2 hours. Ordered drinks which took 20 minutes to come. Starters arrived 15 mins later, they were the highlight of the night! Main courses were 90% of a disaster, my Apollo Milanese was a cheap, beaded chicken fillet which arrived with cold, hard broccoli and chips (they were good), 2 calzone pizzas were well burnt on top and a veg pasta was stone cold and had to be re-cooked. I realise that a good discount was given but it was still a very disappointing visit.

We were a group of 6 celebrating a friend's birthday. Food was tasty and Alla did amazing job looking after us. She ensured that Birthday girl got a magical service and enjoyed her evening. Free birthday dessert was a cherry on top. 😊 Thank you to Alla for looking after us so well. We had a great time.

Delicious food, amazing service, and a lovely atmosphere.

My server Poppy was cheerful and professional, as was the gentleman who greeted me on arrival. The food was excellent from the devilish starter of crispy pasta to the salmon risotto I can't fault it.

Always a fantastic time at this restaurant. The kids menu is fantastic and everything from the service to the food is fantastic. Accommodated us at short notice on a Friday night and made us feel so welcome. Thank you!

I hadn’t been here for a few years because I moved away after uni, but it was a pleasant surprise to come back. The staff is clearly well-trained, they are very polite and attentive. The food is flavourful and I think it’s a step up from last time! Well done, thank you for a good dinner!!

Food is either inconsistent or going downhill. Pizza was meant to be vegan but it definitely had dairy cheese this time. Garlic bread not flattened enough so super small but high and lacked garlic flavour. Cake slices much smaller than normal and missing one of the flavours of sauce/fillings, also very dry/stale. Have had dairy cheese on top of vegan spaghetti through delivery and sitting in before - seems more care needs taken! Have had great food from Zizzi's in the past but past few orders have been awful, either dairy in vegan meals, missing parts, and/or lukewarm :( Hope they get better again soon.

Yesterday we were with friends, it was busy, a girl was running alone throughout the restaurant, one of the guests shouted at her in the whole restaurant, how she steadfastly withstood this situation, solved this problem without rudeness, honestly, if I were that waitress, I would have shouted in response to the client. The girl was great, she solved all the issues, tried to do 5 things at one time. Interesting fact that the 2nd waitress just walked around the restaurant and did nothing. I want to say thank you to this girl.

Always go to Ask Italian for meeting up with family, never had any issues until tonight . Disappointed tonight with the time it took for meals to come out, waiting staff were fantastic but extremely slow service from kitchen. Did ask our waitress if there was staff off, was told there had been a change of kitchen staff the last couple of weeks, that people were going back to college. No offence but didn’t think the kitchen staff were students so I’m not sure if there was a cull or staff left for some reason. Such a pity, it’s always our go to in union square for food. Food when eventually served was good but table booked at 7.30 and no starters until an hour and half later isn’t great. My main course pizza came 15 minutes after everyone else’s main course cos apparently the first one stuck to the oven and they had to remake. Hopefully it’ll be better next time 😊

Booked here for dinner with my partner and we will not be back. Absolutely terrible service I had asked for lasagne and was met with “no” to which I was took back quite a bit and said “sorry?” “No, no lasagne” wish we had just left there and then. Opted to have another pasta dish which wasn’t very nice, my partner enjoyed his pizza though so wish I had just chose that too. It wasn’t too busy when we were in so no excuse for the service. When leaving and asking to pay I was met with a card machine with the cheek of giving herself a £6 tip.. not a chance

I was surprisingly able to book a table for 5, just a half hour before attending!! Service was questionable, pizza arrived cold, had to be sent back, sat for 20mins without anyone coming near to clear our table, I had to eventually go and get dessert menus myself. Server then dropped dish/cutlery whilst clearing the neighbouring table, splattering 2 of their party and my daughters t-shirt sleeve and back. I was offered a cloth and advised to send the dry cleaners bill, really, we are not local and who is going to do that!? That will be mine, the mother's job to clean it. Have to say I was left feeling annoyed at the non-plussed attitude of "well that else do I expect them to do!?"

Poor service and mediocre starter and desert. We got the fondue to share. Waitress couldn’t tell us if it was sufficient to share. Mains were hot and tasty. Daughter had the mini deserts, but by the time it arrived the sorbet had melted and coffee was the wrong size. I had the coffee and mini tiramisu. Coffee cold and the cake was half the size of guests at next table who had the same. Service was non existent. There was only 3 staff serving tables and restaurant was busy.

Food was delicious. I've been there a bunch of times, my favourite Italian, and would highly recommend. I'd even go as far as to say it's one of my favourite places to eat. Absolutely lovely place, and every time I visit there are new items to the menu that are always amazing! I think the best thing I've had from there was a venison ragu, which I haven't seen since, but would like to see again soon!

The pizzas we had were first class. The staff were very attentive and we enjoyed our coffees after the meal. Will be back soon 👍

Picked this restaurant out of several in a mall not expecting too much. Enjoyed well-above average spaghetti, pasta and focaccia. Attentive service, meal prepared quickly. Desserts looked great though we didn’t order any. Would definitely return.

A new low in Italian tourist dining

Food was delivered within the time frame but was freezing and undercooked. Very disappointing, won’t be ordering again.

Pretty decent food with laid back cozy ambience. We tried the Magherita pizza, pomodoro spaghetti, pulled beef pasta and the Sicilian lemon tart with ice-cream. The house wine was however a bit underwhelming.

Chips were cold and soggy. Pizza also cold and not great value : thinner and smaller than usual. Expensive considering small portion size. Large chips not very large!

Terrible service . Waited almost 40 minutes for our main dishes which weren’t even nice at all . Under seasoned , and quite frankly just bad food thrown out on a plate to us . We weren’t given cutlery for mains , table wasn’t cleared...

i never got the appletise in my order but i have been charged for it. i need the amount refunded

The service could have been better. I felt the server was quite uninterested and going through the motions. We got a little sample drink poured into a shot glass to try, but wasn’t even told what it was. The menu is ok, but there wasn’t...

Driver tried to tell me my address was wrong ! It's always been in the same place and is correct on the app. Food stone cold but OK once reheated was good. Perhaps driver's satnav wasn't working ? But to try and blame me was a wee bit annoying

Had a pre event dinner here and booked ahead. Initially it was very quiet but by the time we left they were turning potential diners away. So it would do no harm in booking ahead. Food was good, menu varied, and service professional.

The current staff in Ask Aberdeen are fantastic The food is top notch and definitely the best in Union square
