Mac's Pizzeria in Aberdeen City

We attended a wedding here last weekend . Wow what an incredible place the staff and food was first class from start to finish highly recommended

I agree with previous reviews that the salad was Just ready chicken form groceries and low quality ingredients! Definitely too expensive and low quality! The pizza was good and the antipasto was ok! The service as not good! We went when the place was empty, we asked a table next to window and they refused ! Atmosphere is nice ! If I will Go next time I will Only order pizza

Stumbled across this place while visiting Aberdeen. Didn’t require a booking on a Saturday night though it was early. We had the antipasti to start which came with pickled onions ( worth a try). Also had the garlic dough balls filled with mozzarella, these were a bit of a miss. Made up our own pizzas from the options. They were delicious. They have a huge pizza oven which makes them taste so good. The house white was good but the Gavi ( by the bottle) was great. A great find and I would go back.

Ordered the Veronese pizza - (White sauce, fior di latte mozzarella, mushrooms, prosciutto ham, mascarpone, truffle oil topped with rocket & grana padano shavings). One of the worst pizza's I've ever eaten. I'd be lucky if there was a quarter of a slice of prosciutto ham on it. I left over half, the waitress didn't bother to ask if everything was OK. Chewy base with the ingredients thrown on without any thought. I wouldn't be in a hurry to go back.

One of the best pizzerias in the city. Priced at £7-9. It has a very extensive menu. Thin crust pizzas with good ingredients. Plus the place is beautiful.

The starters were ok, but the courage to season them was lacking. We then had the salads, which probably consisted almost entirely of ready-made products and tasted accordingly. The amount of salad was also small.

Very disappointed! Waited a while to try this place. I know its a pizzeria but I thought there might be a couple of other items as main courses which there wasn’t, only pizza. The pizza was bland and tasteless, for a pizzeria it was very disappointing. Overpriced. Unfortunately wont be going back.

Absolutely dead, 0 atmosphere and toilets were pure honking. The food was absolutely disappointing. pizzas were soggy and mild in temp. The meatballs were tough as hell, the sweet peppers with mozzarella were literally just store bought peppers stuffed with a few chunks of cold and hard mozzarella. First meal out in over a year and been dying to try this place since 2019. bitterly disappointed, back to Big Manny's I guess. Staff were lovely btw.

The service was lovely! I had a margarita pizza and added goats cheese. It honestly reminded me so much of pizza from Italy I was shocked. Such fresh ingredients, perfectly doughy crust while still being a thin pizza slice! I also had the martini which was delicious and a perfect pairing.

Incredible and unique atmosphere. The food and service was great, helpful but unobtrusive.

The second worst pizza I have ever had in my life. As soon as they arrived on our table they appeared 'watery' and 'floppy'. As soon as we picked our pizzas up, everything fell off and we were left with just the base alone. For a business classing themselves as a pizzeria, me and my girlfriend were extremely disappointed. Going to a pizzeria we were expecting a decent standard of pizza. I have had much better frozen pizzas and pizzas that we can make within 10 minutes. Every pizza lover knows a pizza is to be picked up and eaten. Not using our fingers and cutlery to gather every topping up. Would never go back to Mac's pizzeria, Aberdeen. Avoid with a bargepole, unless you want a very bad pizza experience. A 100% honest review.

I bought a voucher to use, it is a really good offer. Arrived and was warmly greeted by Ross he was also our server brilliant job, well done. Excellent service throughout and the pizzas we had were very tasty. Will Definitely be back.

Came as part of restaurant week, enjoyed our food immensely. On a Wednesday they host a quiz at 8 which would have been nice to be prewarned about as our only notification was a 70 inch projector blazing our eyeballs as we were sat right beside it. We were moved table upon request promptly thankfully, but being told as we were being seated would have been appreciated. Waitress was lovely.

Services was ok. As for the pizza it wasn't great the sauce tasteless and they should really put a bit more toppings on the pizza. All the pizzas ordered had a few bits of cheese and the ones that had extra toppings got very little.

Food was great! Pizza selection was very good and very quick! Service was mediocre and the host was outright rude.

Very bad weather (deep snow) however we decided to go ahead with our night out as hospitality has had it hard last 2 years and didn’t want to cancel. Running late as roads were terrible so phoned to advise them - told they’d let our table go but would re-instate us. Arrived 5 mins later to an empty restaurant! Thought staff would be more welcoming after our efforts to get there but the waiter was distinctly sombre! Looking forward to the festive pizza menu but told we couldn’t have as hadn’t pre-booked this? There was no requirement on online booking. We said surely they had the toppings as it is just pizza after all but no they couldn’t accommodate us. Chose from normal menu and food was good but could have had this any day of week!

Really enjoyed our dinner here. Staff were polite and there’s a good range of drinks available. The pizza was incredible and the toppings are of great quality. Wish there was a flat rate to create your own (e.g. up to four toppings). You do get the option to create your own, but it’s £1.50-£2 per additional topping, so even if you only picked two toppings on a margherita you’ll end up paying more than most of the set-menu pizzas. Hopefully that makes sense, it isn’t a criticism, just something that would have made our experience even better. Overall though, very pleasant dining experience and we will be back!

Before I get to the food, I must say the staff here was truly amazing. Everything was perfect and no lack of attention or service. The food was excellent. Do have the meatballs and the Pizza with caramelized onions. The house dressing is amazing. Do not make the mistake we did, start with the Tirimasu so you can finish it all.

Food was very disappointing. Poor quality ingredients… frozen toppings. Lumps of frozen spinach and lumps of gorgonzola randomly scattered. Dough balls weren’t doughy at all, more like bread balls. Staff were friendly though, but let down by the food.

Positioned in the centre of a vibrant part of Aberdeen. Great pizza and friendly efficient service, will definitely be back.

We stumbled across this wonderful pizzeria after having been rejected by Zizzi’s due to my garlic allergy and we are so grateful they refused us! This is a little gem full of character and so helpful staff. The pizzas are AMAZING! My two sisters and I rated our five meal in Aberdeen and this topped the listed. Given we are in the older bracket and had gone to some expensive places it’s surprising. If you visit you must go. Thank you for all your care and attention plus tips on where to go.

Very nice pizzas which are freshly made and cooked in the open plan kitchen so you can watch your pizza being prepared and cooked. Fast friendly service, good selection of drinks. I had the Pollo Calabrese with extra chilli and as you can see by the photo, it was delicious! Great for couples, family's etc and very casual.

Excellent pizza and one of the best I've had in Scotland. The crust had a great flavor and chewiness to it as well as high quality toppings. Service was prompt and attentive and both people who waited on us were friendly.

Fantastic food and service. Myself and son went for pizza whilst on a short break in Aberdeen. Fantastic service. Such a shame it’s within a restaurant which confused me with the entrance. Hopefully Mac’s relocates to a separate premises so it is not missed by people. Will be back.

We were send from the restaurant next to them. We had a great dinner, the staff is lovely! They think with you and help you real quick. If I'm ever going back to Aberdeen, I will go eat here!

Best Italian style pizza in Aberdeen hands-down

Loved the starters. I love that there is a vegan menu and the staff is very accomodating with all intolerances and needs. I actually think I've never been at a restaurant that treated me so well before.

You don't get much better pizza than here in the UK. The pizza oven they have make the pizzas taste so nice. The staff are extremely friendly and helpful too. I highly recommend this place for pizza. I will return one day when working in Aberdeen again. If I could give more than 5 stars I would.

I've been to many pizzerias all over the world and thats why i had to write this review. This place makes one of the best pizzas i ever had, honestly. Combined with a perfect service and nice interior this place absolutely deserves 5-stars and my full recommendation.

Went as part of the local restaurant week and was very impressed , food was excellent , we all had bruschettas and then I had the Veronese pizza and finished with an affogatto , service was very good and the meal was very reasonably priced , we will be back to try out more of the pizzas as all of us had different ones and all were really good , well recommended for a decent pizza in Aberdeen

Had a great evening in Macs and really like the ambience of the place and the quality of the food. Great quality and ina nice part of town.

Mac’s pizzeria is a wonderful experience with amazing staff/service and not to forget the constantly AMAZING food that always makes me come back for more! I would definitely recommended this place.

I wish I could review the food or the drinks but we didn’t even get that far. Once seated in the restaurant that was only 25% full it took 10mins to take our drinks order which was fine but 20mins later with no food order taken and no drinks we were not happy. Very little apology offered and no offer to make good on the issue. Tables around us had various complaints too. Overall would not recommend and we won’t be returning.

The only place for pizza in Aberdeen! Had excellent pizza and bruschettas, crispy but also soft, great tomato sauce, good amount of ingredients. Good value as pizza should be, good and well priced wine and beer. Staff really good as well. A gem! Will definitely be back!

Delicious pizza and good veggie choice. Atmosphere was nice staff very friendly and attentive but not overbearing. Choice of pizza good and food a decent price. Alcohol a little expensive but same as many places in the city.

Working in Aberdeen so I tend to go once a week. A thin based margarita is a simple dish but can be very hard to get right and they do. Staff great, good value.

Absolutely delicious, hot and fresh, stonebaked pizza! 🍕 Very good value for money as the food truly is amazing, and there's a great authentic Italian-American atmosphere to the whole restaurant 🇮🇹🇺🇸 There's a fairly good range of pizzas to choose from as well as sides and starters etc., and an extensive drinks menu too 🍸🍹 The staff are super friendly and provide a great dining experience for guests! 🤵🏻‍♂️ Meals are brought out in good time, and orders are taken quickly too 🙌🏻 Overall, a very happy experience and would recommend, although be sure to go early as they close at 9pm! 🕘

Fabulous pizza. The best outside Italy and certainly the best in town. You won't be able to go back to heating up a pizza in the oven once you've tried these.

I never leave google reviews because they are mostly just annoying people with no lives. But here we are .. lol This restaurant deserves a great review. Good pizza. Nice wine. Friendly staff. Actually good pizza though nicely charred, great moist light dough all that tech stuff.

I've been here twice now and both times the food and service have been excellent. Attentive and friendly staff, really good pizza, and value for money. What else could you want?

Delicious pizza, best I've had in ages. Childrens menu was slightly disappointing in options but staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

Great pizza, good service. Deceptively spacious on the inside and the decor and general atmosphere were nice. Visited on an afternoon, so it wasn't so busy. But I can highly recommend 👍

Pizza is not so bad, but they sell it as Naepoletan pizza and it's not.. It like more than an American pizza full of ingredients, with a base that looks like Naepoletan pizza.. service good and everything good. But product is not what you expect

When it comes to local independent pizza joints in Aberdeen, they don’t come better than this. Very affordable prices and a varied menu featuring a number of classics, as well as twists on classics. They even have dessert pizzas! The starter and sides are also pretty good, as are the desserts. Definitely worth poking your head in to get a glimpse of the stunning interiors - and some Nuart artists’ work, too!

Excellent food and outstanding service. Hosted a group of 20+ visitors from Norrh America for work and they loved everything. Gorgeous appetizers and delicious pizzas and exceptionally good value for mone . Ideal for large parties with selections made in advance.

Brilliant Neapolitan pizza. Went in recently with 2 friends and had 2 starters, 3 pizzas, a bottle of wine and a pint for around £50. Excellent price and excellent food. The service was also excellent and the staff were really friendly.

Booked earlier in the day but, on arrival, told it would be 45 minutes due to being busy - even though there were plenty of empty seats. Starter never arrived, it took an hour to get the food on the table and worst was a member of the serving staff, having gone from the till going to the kitchen and using her bare unwashed hands to add toppings to the pizzas - surely basic hygiene training would tell you thats an absolute NO.

Awful. They've not heard of flavour or seasoning. Tiny smearing of tasteless sauce and hardly any toppings (again tasteless) served on charcoal base.

Food wasnt cooked well enough, half the pizza was soggy. Could get better pizza in any other Italian in aberdeen. Kids running riot everywhere so the atmosphere wasnt good either.

Yeah, it's ok. Food was alright but the menu's not massive. Couldn't complain about the service though
