Dollies Cafe & Bar in Cornwall, Isles of Scilly

Took a short bike ride at 0800 with dog from Padstow and found Dollies cafe opposite a chain pub on Wadebridge high street The decision to have a tea and bacon sandwich at Dollie’s over the chain pub was as I suspected local bacon, local egg and fresh brown bun and pot of good tea. We need to keep such quality and value for money cafes on our high streets and I unreservedly recommended this cafe if your passing

We visited three times while on holiday for all-day breakfasts. The staff were friendly and welcoming and very obliging to requests for slight adjustments to the menu (chips instead of hash browns/fried bread instead of toast); good food freshly cooked. I particularly recommend the home made scotch eggs... The establishment is as comfortable and homely as it is possible for a commercial establishment to be and there is the option of limited outside seating - there is nothing not to like...

Food amazing. staff amazing. Go out there way to help you. I give them out of 10 a 1000. We go at least 3 times a week. I love it here

Came here on a wet Tuesday early afternoon with a friend. We were looking for a cafe to have a coffee and some lunch, we stumbled across this one and we are so glad we did. Friendly staff and a lovely food menu. I opted for the homemade tomato soup with a cheese toastie which was perfect and my friend went for the BLT with fries. All presented lovely and excellent flavour. Coffee lovely and tea just as good! We will be back! Thanks guys :)

Popped in to Dollies for some lunch and had the most wonderful paninis and pizza. Made fresh to order and super tasty. Washed down with a couple of Rattlers and Korev. Would highly recommend.

Great little place for breakfast, brunch, lunch and afternoon tea and snacks. Good food served by nice helpful staff. Will return.

We had a lovely breakfast at Dollies today. It's so nice that one of their menu options is the 'Gluten-free breakfast', which avoids the hassle of having to go in and ask if they can cater for gluten free and needing to work out which items you can and can't have. It made it so stress-free! The staff were really nice, especially the lady who took our order and was very cheerful and friendly. The food was nicely cooked and tasty. I particularly enjoyed the delicious bacon and the crispy, crunchy hash brown. Our only criticism was that the gluten-free sausage was a bit weird - we almost wondered whether it was actually a meat sausage, as the texture and taste seemed a little unusual. So many regular supermarket sausages are gluten-free as standard now, so there's no need for it to seem any different. Despite this, we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast and will definitely be back soon.

We had a lovely homemade lunch, and the coffee is great. Staff are very welcoming and friendly. A must for us was that our two dogs were also welcome. Cheers.

This is a sweet little cafe in the heart of Wadebridge and I enjoyed a tasty breakfast here this week. It offers simple, but tasty food and at good value too.

Stopped by here on a Sunday morning for breakfast - Small cafe but with an extensive menu other than breakfast. Very clean and staff very friendly and efficient. Would definitely return.

Excellent friendly service and lovely coffee. Recommended. Both the lady who took our order and the guy who we paid the bill to were chatty and pleasant even though it was towards closing time on what was no doubt a busy day.

I live in Fowey and regularly meet my friend for lunch at Dollies cafe.Everywhere is very clean and the tables are well spaced apart. The staff are friendly and very helpful especially the young lad who works there. All the staff are great and down to earth. Always a chance for banter!!! The food that Dollies create is exceptional. Always gorgeous fresh ingredients, the scallops and prawns are divine and any salad ingredients are very crisp and fresh.I would definitely recommend this little gem to anyone looking for a tasty lunch in a great location watching the world go by in a safe environment.Huge thanks Dollies, keep doing what you’re doing!!Caroline Lewis

Probably the best Bacon Baguette in the World,loads of really lovely Bacon in a Sourdough Baguette.A real treat when we are in Wadebridge and always nice to see the two friendly and cheerful lady owners.

I stopped off at Dollies for a hot drink and maybe something a bit naughty (well, I am on holiday) and can honestly say that this is my new place to go when I'm in Wadebridge next.From receiving a cheery 'Hello!`when I walked in, through to paying the bill, the whole experience was a delight.I ordered a small latte and some toasted banana and walnut bread (homemade and buttered on arrival) - the coffee was delicious and the bread was heavenly.Apart from the lovely ladies in charge, I also enjoyed a natter with 2 locals on the next table and their handsome labrador, Jonas - he made my day!

A lovely little cafe to stop by for a coffee and a slice of excellent fruit cake. I've tasted some decent fruit cake in my time, but this takes some beating. Friendly staff who are happy to chat to you. A real gem.

Called in for coffee and a snack and had the Bacon Sandwich. It was so tasty with rashers and rashers of bacon, not your usual two pieces! The two ladies serving were extremely friendly. So pleased we stopped here.

Had lunch inside the cafe. The service was friendly and helpful and the food was of a very high standard. The place was obviously popular by the number of people who were there for lunch and since is was a midweek out of season, i thought it would be quieter.The food was all fresh and tasty and good value for money.

We discovered Dollies when looking for somewhere to have a lunchtime snack. The café was clean and cosy with lot of cushions and the staff were friendly. We had a bacon and egg roll, which came in a lovely fresh roll, and a flat white coffee, all of which was very enjoyable. There was a delicious looking selection of cakes, so I could be tempted to call in again the next time I am in Wadebridge.

Great dog friendly cafe, I the centre of Wadebridge, prices great compared to pub opposite! We opted for a couple of bacon & egg rolls and they were perfect, possibly the best bacon rolls of the week.

We often pop in for a bacon buttie especially now they do one on a very fresh baguette but today I chose the Hawaiian pizza. It is totally home made, even the base, and was the best pizza I've ever had, even beating an authentic Italian one. The staff are very friendly and obliging, even during busy periods, nothing is too much trouble. The food is worth waiting for, everything is freshly made to order. It has become one of our regular haunts since moving to Wadebridge in April.

Popped in for a ham toastie with my partner on my 1hr lunch break, intending on grabbing a sunbed after.

Having stopped in Wadebridge for some shopping saw Dollies at lunch time. We had the lunch time special of soup and a a cheese toastie, both were excellent and great value. Service was efficient thought hoped it may have been a little friendlier as were not busy at the time

Popped in quickly as had to kill some time - had the tuna melt toastie with added onion and pot of tea - all very fresh and hot - other diners had the tomato and basil soup which smelt and look good - I would recommend for a quick snack

I visited with family last Friday. The cafe was spotless and very well decorated. The service was very friendly and the cafe had a relaxed and welcoming feel to it. There was a great selection of food and drinks on the menu and all seemed freshly prepared. My bacon, cranberry and Brie sandwich was the best I’ve ever tasted. All with a realistic price. I was in Cornwall on holiday but will definitely be back.

WE had stopped at several places as we wanted Scones with clotted cream and jam, to be told they were not available as it was out of season. Before going to Dollies I rang and they offered to cook a fresh batch of scones just for us. What great customer service very friendly staff. Everything was delicious,we also sampled The cheese scones the scones with cream and jam. Wished I could have tried the home cakes but I was too full/

I come here regularly with my wife usually just for a pot of tea and cake. On this occasion the establishment was about to close. We chose to have the chocolate orange cake with our tea.

Another lovely visit for a lunch between Christmas and the New Year. Busy, friendly and festive atmosphere , great service and lunches were fresh and delicious. Lovely choice of drinks and wonderful cakes too.

Second visit for a homemade treat and a pot of tea.Great company and full of friendly people. Great service and will be back for more as you can see so much effort being made to please. Fair pricing with large fresh portions.

£10 for 2 scones and 2 cups of tea. Rip off, poor service and scones were so dry, so certainly won't go again.

Having been to Dollies Cafe and Bar in July we decided to revisit. I opted for a Bacon, Brie and Cranberry toastie which was cooked on a griddle - a somewhat different approach to the conventional toasting method. It was excellent - probably the best I’ve had thus far. I would certainly recommend this establishment for a light snack or luncheon and the welcoming atmosphere coupled with the reasonable prices put this at the top of the list!

We were at a loss what to do on this fabulous Saturday afternoon and decided to take a trip to Wadebridge and came across Dollies. The frontage was welcoming and the inside was clean and comfortable. We had amazing homemade cakes and coffee. The sandwiches being served to other customers made us wish that we had not already had our lunch. Would totally recommend it to anyone looking for a light meal or an afternoon treat.

Best cafe in Cornwall, if you want fantastic food and drinks it’s the place to be. The staff are so friendly and you will be spoilt.

Visited Dollies with friends and our children for an end of summer treat and we thoroughly enjoyed it. The kids delved into the delicious mega shakes whilst myself and my friend enjoyed a slice of one of the many delicious cakes on offer with our cuppas. Wonderful service and fabulous food x

Came across this lovely cafe is on a day out in Wadebridge with my boyfriend. The atmosphere was absolutely brilliant. The staff were super friendly and super helpful. They convinced me to try the baileys latte...What a boozy treat! Not to mention that the coffee cake was the best I have ever had. Keep up the good work! Hopefully we will see you again, very soon.

Food distinctly average. Quiche served cold, eggs not how we requested and a waitress who is doing no favours for the place by not being very inviting or friendly.

£5 for a pot of tea for 2 really!! I can just about take that for coffee but tea ! two little tea bags and milk won't be going there again .

After looking around Wadebridge we opted to try here. How I wish we didn’t. My wife ordered rustic toast with bread/butter. What we got was 2 cheap thin slices of bread which is obviously from a sliced loaf. Not rustic at all. Drinks were ok.

My partner and I visit Dollies a lot, mainly for the amazing cake but also because we can get a coffee or a drink depending on our mood. The staff are wonderful, always friendly and the cakes really are brilliant. Especially the brownies!

What a welcome, Cornish Maids with a proper welcome... Coffee is ace, service is just as good. Visitors and locals are all welcome. Must be one of the up and coming coffee houses in Cornwall!

Fantastic sundaes the children loved them ! So many fresh home made cakes hard to choose....wow ... all delicious.

Went in today as it does look really nice. A few people sat outside, nobody inside. We sat inside and waited, and waited and waited. After 15 mins we decided to leave after the people that came in after us were served. I’m sure myself and my partner are not invisible. We tried attracting the numerous amount of waitresses attentions but no luck. Am sure after reading other reviews it is lovely but unfortunately we will never know

Staying at hotel opposite which was very busy we crossed over and sat outside for a drink before dinner elsewhere. Gorgeous rose. Really lovely olives. Friendly owners. Worth a visit.

I loved it Everything was beautiful and the food tasted great the service was great aswell even though they are my old teachers I still thought everything was amazing.

Somewhat overpriced... two cans of coke for £4 is taking the p! I get they’re on the high street and have overheads but ripping people off is uncalled for.

Found on the last day of our holiday :( Food was lush, 2 ladies running this place were lovely. Sweet potato fries were perfect.

Went to Dollies for a slice of cake and refreshing drinks! We also ordered pizza’s which were delicious - the base of the pizza was perfect, no soggy base! Cake’s are to die for!! So light and fluffy with a great range of flavours!

Popped into Dollies today for some coffee and cakes, they have only been open for a couple of weeks but it was full when we got there so that said it all really! Regardless of how busy they were the staff were so friendly and welcoming and they serve illy coffee...delicious!! And I had the double chocolate brownie and I promise you it will blow your mind!! My wife had a toasted farcita with an amazing chutney! Yum yum! I would have put a picture up but we had eaten it before we thought about it. Need I say more? Keep up the good work Dollies. We will be back!

Great little café on the high street in Wadebridge, they had soya milkshakes for our dairy free kids, I had a flat white which was excellent my wife had a milkshake which she assures me was delicious (not that I got any!), Had a coffee cake and carrot cake, both very tasty home made cakes. Friendly staff nice location and décor. Thoroughly recommended.
