Best place in town for ice cream and coffee. I tried the waffle and it was fab. Quirky setting, comfy booths. I recommend it to my friends.

Dolcinos was recommended by the person I was meeting, and I was at first excited by the sweets, and took my time choosing. The milkshakes looked tempting but I chose the lemon sorbet which unfortunately had the consistency of snot. I am not sure if it had melted and been refrozen; it was unpleasant. The person I met offered me part of a mini-cannoli. I had been suspicious of them as they were prefilled and the place had not even bothered to remove them from the shrink wrap and cardboard that made me think they had come from Costco. Cannoli should be filled just before serving, that day at the earliest. If there was ricotta in it, it was hard to tell. It seemed like sweetened concrete. Worst of all were the toilets, looked and smelled like someone had urinated on the floor and loo roll was everywhere. Best part, the staff were friendly, and there is free water available. It was not worth taking photos.

Staff were extremely friendly, welcoming and helpful. Coffee was very good will go again soon to try their food as such a nice relaxed environment!

Overcharged and disappointed! I requested two scoops of ice cream for my little boy, one was bought over and i questioned where the other one was. The member of staff apologosed and got me a second scoop however said I had to pay another fee for a small pot when I should have been charged for two scoops together, paying 7 pounds for two scoops of ice cream is ridiculous and i won't be returning definitely have lost my custom.

Went in for my autistic daughters regular malteaser milkshake. Price had increased dramatically to £5.60 and not even a hint of malteaser. Heavy on the chocolate icecream which it doesnt normally contain. no cream on the top which she usually gets and very rude response from staff when questioned about it. Lots of places in loughborough to buy milkshakes so will be visiting one of those from now on. Its no wonder its gone from being one of the busiest cafes in loughborough to empty.

This place has really gone to the dogs ! It’s tired and the toilets are filthy ! I wouldn’t allow my wife in there it was so bad , furnishings are well worn, they allow smokers to stand just outside the door and smoke blows in, we’ve all written the place off there are far better places nearby , a real shame as once it was really nice there ….

My son has just had excellent birthday party at Dolcino‘s. He loved the ice cream making demo and the two ladies running it were absolutely fantastic. We liked having the upper level for the party, to play games between ice cream making duties. The waffles were delicious, too. Thank you Dolcino‘s!

We visited today as a group of four having not been for a few years. Unfortunately we were really disappointed with the food. The smoked salmon and egg crepe had hardly any salmon on it, and lots of mayonnaise. The bacon, avocado and cheese crepe was even worse, the avocado was so hard it was inedible, the crepe was not warm and the cheese not melted. the two strawberry and cream crepes had approximatley two strawberries cut up, and a bit of squirty cream. Poor presentation, and very poor food quality. Really disappointing when paying between £6-8 per dish. Won't be returning here, really gone downhill

Great icecream. Poor service I’ve never know a cafe as inefficient as this. The wait times are always ridiculous. I’m happy to wait but not to be ignored. I finally got served. Paid for the ice creams and drinks. I got the icecreams and had to wait again for the girl to serve someone else before she bothered to make my tea!

Ridiculous how much this place has gone down hill in the last month. Awful service, clearly microwaved food and the tables and seats are filthy.

So we came here on Tuesday and had good food and better service. So friendly and welcoming. Highly recommended.

I came with my mum on a Sunday at 1pm, we waited nearly an hour for our two pancakes to arrive. My mums arrived first, then after ten minutes they asked if we was waiting for something else… The pancake was okay, but I wouldn’t pay the price again for how long we waited. Another family had also complained. However, it was clean and the staff were friendly, but maybe not trained enough to deal with customers!

Tried to go for lunch and drinks this week with my two children. Shocking service….well lack of it! Eventually gave up waiting and got my money back. I am a loyal customer but can’t cope with another visit like this! Will try again….but definitely need to look at service times and customer care in the new year.

Staff are always friendly and polite and the place is spotless. I always really enjoy the Korean sandwich and the coffee is much better than the usual high street chains!

I visited with a friend today. Ordered a tuna melt and sweet potato fries. The fries looked and tasted like they were microwaved and then stuck under a grill for a few minutes to brown the edges of a few fries...very soggy and undercooked. The tuna melt toasties was hardly warm. The bread only toasted on the top slice and nothing was melted. Really poor food. The staff were friendly but won't use again...no wonder it was quiet on a busy market day.

only two tables with customers, had to wait over 40mins for an un toasted toastie and scrambled egg/bacon on toast, eggs we're very sloppy undercooked-health hazard, considering there prices im disgusted at there food and how can they justify the length of time for food? as someone whos worked in kitchens i know there is a certain standard-this dosnt match that at all

I love it here staff are always polite and courteous nothing ever too much trouble, coffee is great and if you ever get the chance to try their ice cream do it. It’s the best gelato outside of Italy!! And a plus point in these funny times all the Covid preparations are spot-on hand sanitiser everywhere easy to understand one-way system.

Called in today for a bite to eat at Lunchtime with my Mother, sat down to An unclean table which I wiped with antiseptic hand gel that I had with me Food was okay I had toasted sandwich and Mum had Lasagne which was quite good.However on using the toilets they were unclean and had to tell the staff about it As did not want my Mum using them plus no hand dryer working, she used the public Ones nearby which charge.Feel the staff need help, extra staff, better cleaning or organisation which is a shame as this place is let down by a few things that could make it much better.

You can get authentic cannoli here as well as other Italian desserts to eat in or take away. Coffee is very good. Best of all, they have lots of proper ice cream - try the pistachio or coffee with real coffee beans in it. Service is very friendly. They were quite busy but all the staff were working hard to serve people as quickly as possible. They're participating in the 50% off scheme at the moment. They could use some fans for hots days; it was too hot to sit indoors, and the outside tables and chairs were in direct sunlight. The seating and serving areas have been well set up to keep people socially distanced, with a clear one way system, and there is hand sanitiser at the front of the shop, while staff are working behind perspex. No cash payments accepted at the moment.

We stopped by for waffles and crepes last week. Really nice place. We enjoyed the food and the staff were kind and accommodating. My daughter needed gluten free so they did her a gluten free waffle. The ice cream was delicious too.

We visited today for brunch. We have been before - several months back - and enjoyed it so thought we’d come again. Today was a completely opposite experience. Though the intended meal was brunch, by the time the food finally reached us it was much more like lunchtime. The two servers on today were both absolutely useless. The number of times I had to repeat my 4 item order was embarrassing. The card payment also had to be void and reattempted three times. When after waiting 20 mins for the food I went back in to check they also had to clarify again the toppings on the two waffles (he’d already asked twice when ordering and paying) and his other male colleague rather rudely informed me they’d be brought out when ready. Honestly for £20 I’d have rather gone to McDonald’s and pocketed the £10 or more difference. We most definitely won’t be coming back.

Great staff and great food. Having a family who love both sweet and savoury, there’s something on the menu for everyone. Not your typical breakfast spot but certainly a place to consider for a savoury or sweet dish

The staff members Chloe, Johnathan and Karen were extremely polite and helpful fast service and quality products.They also have an excellent dairy free range. Well worth a visit and we would eat here again.

Loved coming here today, Came as a family of 10, table was reserved at the last minute and they found us a table , cleaned and very accommodating, all staff were wearing face coverings, ordered 6 waffles and one crepe and two tubs of gelato and one sundae, fast service, quality food, very friendly staff. 100% recommend.

I have visited Dolcinos countless times, for coffee, gelato, waffles, breakfast and now their New takeaway menu - have you seen it yet?!What a variety that is on offer. They have also put in an excellent system during Covid to make you feel safe and secure too.The staff are super friendly and helpful!This is a great place to bring friends, family and visiting relatives. I've been in Dolcino's a few times and always loved it! Their waffles and ice cream are great. Over lockdown I tried out being Vegan and to my delight I found that these guys had a full menu of Vegan food too! Would definitely recommend for families, friends and couples looking to go somewhere welcoming and with good food!

Surprised the kids with a quick visit today. Service was great - quick and efficient. All COVID procedures seemed to be in place. Will definitely be going back 😁👍

Popped in this weekend to grab a coffee and a bite to eat with my partner and young child. Really pleased with all the safety measures put in place put also pleased everything still felt relaxed too. Ordered two coffees and a babycino. Service was prompt and coffee was gorgeous. We were super pleased we could also buy a pack of coffee to take away. The best part for us was the friendly service and how amenable the staff were. We are really looking forwards to going back- for waffles next time as the ones we saw going past us looked beautiful and smelt like heaven! We just didn't have time today. We will be back soon!

Couldn't resist stopping with my grandma for a sit down and some gelato today.so many flavours to choose from and my 85 year old grandma couldn't choose. The staff were very accommodating of her wanting a little bit of a few flavours and I had some delicious strawberry gelato. Covid-19 safety precautions were well signed and helped people to know what to do and where to sit.Overall a very good visit, thank you.

Let’s talk poached eggs.... I like mine soft, you know, with a runny yolk, that’s how they’re meant to be right?!Not at Dolcino.... nope here they’re served solid... and weirdly dry... almost like someone’s boiled a cows ballsAnd then we come on to toast... it’s meant to be like toasty, again not at dolcinos! They like warm bread apparentlyAnd if you’ve ever requested eggs florentine, without the hollandaise (you know basically eggs and spinach on toast....) this is the place to go!So if you’re after a super long wait followed by an appalling attempt at brunch.... this is the place for you!

When we are ever in town we always go here for a mid shopping coffee. Great homemade cakes, handmade gelato and fantastic coffee. Staff are always polite and friendly aswell.

I took my daughter for breakfast this morning. Place has gone down hill and is filthy. Cutlery has not been cleaned and the service was poor. When our breakfast did come out, it was bland and over cooked. I witnessed another family complaining and asking for their money back! The staff looked rushed off their feet and we could hear them complaining about the management and how bad the place was ran.£16 for two breakfasts, which is a expensive for what you get.Wont visit again I'm afraid.Place needs some TLC and staff that know what they are doing / how to cook.

Super coffee, freshly ground and tastes great. Hard to choose from the waffle/crepe menu too. We settled on a Fruitopia waffles and a Banoffee Crepes. Great sized portions and really tasty. Staff are very friendly and welcoming. There are lots of nice touches too as we have a young family. Crayons and books for the little one, free babychinos and lots of high chairs. We love it here and will be back!

I have always loved the coffee blend at Dolcino. Having not been there for a while,this morning's visit to Dolcino found me ordering a second cappuccino - it was just so moreish!

Used to enjoy here, staff were always friendly and service was excellent. Unfortunately the staff seems to have changed no longer friendly staff and service is abysmal. Such a shame as was an excellent coffee house

Never tried before but wow glad I found this little place!! Brilliant for kids with you free milk... lovely staff all happy and friendly to help! Manager is very professional and even made me smile. Would defo be going again !! One a week visit is a defo

Went there for coffee and whilst there we were offered a taste of their gelato (which they make in the shop). I had kinder Bueno and my partner had white chocolate and oreo, all delicious. The coffee was great too. Will be back.

Best Coffee as they roast their coffee! Best artisan Italian gelato and artisan cakes. Plenty of vegetarian options! The food is freshly made and delicious great service! Savoury crepes a must!

I have walked by Dolcino many times and not entered in so i deceived to give it a go, i'm so glad i did. We walked in and saw the window at the back looking into the kitchen where they make there homemade gelato. A guy walked up to us (i assume the manager) and started explaining the process of making the ice cream and even gave us a taste. It was to die for but being a cold day we did not have any (this time). We eventually chose to have 2 Latte and 2 of the pig in blanket sausage rolls that the guy said he made him self instore that day. You could tell they where freshly made they tasted amazing!! They also do homemade cakes that look amazing too! This is now my coffee shop of choice. I will defiantly be visiting again very shortly to have a slice (or two) of home make cake and when it get warmer a big bowl of homemade ice cream.

Having been going to this little place for a while now and over the last month it has gone completely downhill. The service is slow, orders are wrong and the value for money on portions has changed.

Having just returned from Rome, eating gelato every day, myself and my son had a mother son date at Dolcinos and didn't regret it. A really friendly atmosphere, the decor is really stylish with lovely little touches like connect 4 and other games and books to keep children occupied. The Gelato was the best I've tasted.

I have visited Dolcino's a fair bit in the past... decided to grab a bite to eat at the weekend as not been there for some time. First off the service I received from their employees when placing my order was painstakingly long as the woman was a bit clueless. I sat down looked at the menu which was sticky and filthy (always a bad sign) I chose what I wanted and waited.... 40 minutes later still no sign of my order, so I went up and politely asked the staff where it was. I was under the impression they had forgot about the order, and I was never actually going to receive it....the guy apologised and said he will bring it straight over, ok. 10 minutes later he appeared with my order, I told him what I thought of the service I had received, he agreed and assured me he will compensate me with something so I said ok. the strawberries on the crepes look like they are out of a tin which is a bit disappointing as I thought this place served fresh quality goods, given this they were a bit tasteless and made the crepe soggy, eww. can I just recommend going to Cocoa or even Doorstep deserts as their quality is far better then I've experienced from Dolcino's. This is an honest review as I am not going to sugar coat anything pardon the pun. The guy compensated me with money off the bill which was about 50% of my original bill, also gave me a discount for next time which was 25%, fair enough... but I wasn't looking for money off or discount, I just wanted a quick and easy bite to eat instead I got a painful and quite frankly poor experience.

Was served by a lovely young girl with glasses, very impressed with her service after she mentioned she was still in training. Cake was delicious and the coffee was tasty. Definitely one of the better little coffee shops in Loughborough, would advise anyone to go grab a cup of coffee.

Very nice place to enjoy a coffee, gelato, shake with different kinds of sweets (kinder bueno, oreo, etc), staff always welcomed us with a smile on their faces, especially Corina, she always makes our staying there a pleasure. We'll go there whenever we have a chance.

Been coming here pretty much since Dolcino opened in Loughborough. The team have always been friendly and helpful and after a few years since opening, the team is still very much helpful especially Corina and Chrissie who always talk to me, make me feel welcome and are always asking how I'm feeling since my having my stroke, its always a pleasure seeing these two ladies. I love the tuna melt toasties, cakes and coffees ❤️

I love coming here every week. The waffles, the ice cream the coffee, everything is just amazingly good. I enjoy the atmosphere and love the personal touch in this café. The staff is super nice and knows my regular order by heart.

If you're looking for a damn good coffee at a good price then go to Dolcino's in the Market Place, near the Town Hall. The coffee is really good, the choice of cakes, crepes, and waffles will have you wondering where to start, and the staff are dead friendly. And where else will you find the front end of a Fiat 500 and two racing bikes chained to the wall inside...??? (No they didn't crash!). Come on...!

My favourite place in Loughborough to drink my coffee and have something sweet.They have great pastries and some amazing pancakes and when comes to drinks there are no words to describe them.Also I experienced some great customer service delivered by Corina.

We visit at least once a week. The staff are all very friendly, I'm there so often they know my order! The children love the selection of gelato and biscuits and the hot meals are served quickly. Always my first choice for coffee when I'm in town.

Came for lunch as my son loves the milk shakes. The staff are very friendly and helpful. We both had waffles which were nice. We will definitely be returning for another milk shake treat.

This was my first visit with my family. Accommodate brilliantly for the children with the games available, jenga and duplo. The gelato is just beautiful and the children loved their waffles!! Will definitely be returning.

Dolcinos is my favourite place to have coffee. The staff are welcoming friendly and helpful. You are definitely spoilt for choice here they cook a wide variety of meals and there is a wide selection of homemade cakes and pastries as well as the famous gelato ice cream. Highly recommend this establishment. It is also dog friendly in designated areas and has a lovely relaxing atmosphere.

Dolcinos do the best coffee in town. The staff are always friendly, welcoming and chatty. The gelato is my daughter’s favourite thing but we also always enjoy the amazing waffles when we have them. They are cooked fresh, to order, and are delicious.

After trying the coffee from every single coffee shop in lboro, dolcino clearly has the best! Also, nothing better then their waffles or crepes filled with chocolate when you are in need for lots of sugar! And the staff, so lovely! Specially Corina and SK!!!

Real Italian coffee at a reasonable price in town centre. Welcoming and friendly staff. A great place to relax after shopping in Loughborough.

With friends, we called in for coffee and ice creams. The coffees were delicious and so were the ice creams; a real taste of Italy. The cakes also lloked delicious. The service was very friendly, polite and efficient. There was a large variety of flavours for the ice creams and plenty of choice of snacks, etc on the menu. Gluten Free options were available, which pleased my wife (as she is Gluten Free). The place, itself, is also very interesting. I have no qualms in recommending this venue.

We travelled from Nuneaton to Loughborough to take afternoon tea and, boy, we were not disappointed.

Visited this place with my Lo (6yrs old) after watching the lion king at Cineworld.

Went in for breakfast. Had a coffee and ordered a spinach eggs benedict. When I went up to the counter for the order -it was the wrong one (with ham). They did change it but the eggs were almost uncooked - they had to take it away and do it again.

We visited when Loughborough car show was on. It was really busy so queued for a while but the staff serving were really apologetic and very polite. I ordered a freakshake, 2 ice creams and a ice coffee. All were delicious, especially the freakshake. Will return!

Visited several times for coffee, chocolate and light snack. Very comfortable and ideally situated in the Loughborough town centre. Sit outside - it's a good place to people watch or meet friends. It's becoming a habit!

It was sunny & warm so we ate outside. The toasted "brunch" sandwich was tasty & the coffee was ok. The place was busy, but we didn't have to wait very long. Tables were not being cleared or cleaned in the outdoor area.

Visited for desserts. I had a chocolate shake made with chocolate ice cream which was very tasty and filling. My son had a sundae (please see pictures) and he said that it was great.

Fantastic Italian patisseries and great coffee make this place a must visit. Head and shoulders above the chains and less expensive. They made our three year old very welcome, there are toys and colouring books to keep tinies amused and plenty of space. The ice cream looked good but we didn't try it.

I have a few food allergies and they are in just about everything. The staff went through nearly everything on the menu, with patience, until they found something I could eat. It is rare to find such considerate folk. Looking around, I watched as others placed their orders and the speed with which the food arrived - I could not fault a thing. Even the toilets were clean and modern.

What a delicious lunch at Dolcinos yesterday. My daughter loved her freakshake. Said it was way better than the competition. My crêpe was well presented, filling and very tasty. Great coffee too. Top marks from me today.

Popped in here for some gelato and was happily surprised by the portion sizes. I got a large (3 scoops) of dark chocolate, pistachio and caramel, and my partner got two scoops in a cone of caramel and white kinder bueno. We were both pleased by the large portion sizes, and I ended up being unable to finish all of mine! The gelato was delicious and creamy and all handmade there (you can watch through the window into the kitchen). Would definitely come here again when I'm in the area to try the savoury crepes and waffles! The interior is beautiful and very peaceful.

Very good selection of flavours and superb coffee. Liked the decor and activities for the kids too. Layout of tables was a bit tricky to accommodate us. It's annoying when all the booths for 6+ People had 2 people in it nursing empty cups, so moving furniture was required!

I've only ever tried the iceream but there's a wide range of flavours and they even offer vegan and dairy free icecreams

We love Dolcino’s. It’s a family business that makes its own ice cream on site and the desserts are really tasty. Although it’s counter service only, there’s a really lovely waiter in there who is always eager to help when he can see someone struggling with kids or a wheelchair and they can’t get to the counter to collect their food. The staff give the place such a lovely touch and we feel valued as customers when we visit (which is perhaps three or four times a month).
