Such a joyful little find! We came on a whim and so happy we found this place. Greeted with a warm welcome, staff were very helpful and friendly and spoilt my little dog to bits. Food was very yummy and the portions were extremely generous! Wish we lived closer as we would be regulars! Thank you for a lovely visit!

Absolutely fantastic place. Ordered a banana split- it was absolutely huge! Proper milkshakes and smoothies and great cake choices and portion sizes. The lady serving us was lovely too. It was even dog friendly. We’ll definitely return.

How friendly the owner Sharon ♥️ and Bob the Builder and the girls, what a lovely welcome, first time in going in. Full of regulars that Sharon seems to know everyone Me and my Son for a Full English breakfast as a coffee snob, the coffee was bang on. I think we start becoming regulars as well now 😂😂😂

Great place to visit for food. Definitely serve the best Sunday lunch in Southport. And the choice of drinks is great. Staff are very attentive, we will definitely be back again very soon 😀

Very Disappointed what a shambles overstaffed not busy still could not get orders right. 2 meals wrong then had wait ages while other people were getting their meals. The size of meals were not sufficient for an adult very overpriced for what you get. It was first time at the cafe it will be the last time.

Just wanted to say that all the girls that work her keep up the good work I went in and got a coffee and the girl who was working behind the counter was really welcoming and have a laugh and joke with me I can't find nothing rong with this place and I do recommend that you pop in and see them and you see how welcoming they are

I've been here a few times now, and it's always a great experience. Staff are friendly and accommodating. It's spotlessly clean and good value, especially considering its a small independent on a prime location. 5 stars all round!

Everything from the food and customer service to the way it was presented was brilliant. The owner and staff were so warm and welcoming. Had a very tasty homemade oreo cake and scones. Best cafe all round I've been to.

You (and your four legged friends) will be given such a warm welcome here! So great this is an individual place, not part of a chain. Great value for money with tasty food and drinks! Just a shame we can't be regulars (we live over 500 miles away!!) But we will certainly visit again when we're next in southport :-)

This is a friendly venue for lunch or coffee. The staff are friendly and the food is great. There is wheelchair access. The atmosphere was marked down as our last visit was at a very quiet time, usually it is good.

Visited yesterday, and was best roast dinner we've had in a long time. We could taste that everything was home made, it was all delicious. We were recommended to get the small one, and it was good job we did because it was big 😊 Also had home made apple pie and custard, and was also delicious. We will definitely going back 😊 Very good value for money too 😊

Went to new meetup group. Had a lovely cup of coffee and sat with 4 women that i didnt know. They made me feel so welcome in their group. Then other members of the group came to chat to me too. It was a lovely friendly group of people in a nice wecoming cafe. Staff were friendly too. Thank you

Very good Sunday roast, tasty, shame cafe was nearly empty (not owners fault) busier it is, the atmosphere gets better. Maybe a little background music on would help too. Thoroughly enjoyable meal.

Hidden gem of a Cafe with wonderful service, clean and contemporary surroundings and a brilliant menu. Milkshake was lovely, old school milk bar style and the Coca Cola even came in a genuine glass. The homemade chicken curry was nice and creamy and full of flavour and the toastie was cooked to perfection and came with a tasty little side salad. Stand out performer was the salt and pepper chips, however, which were next level! Just a pity that they can't get hold of any steak Canadians for their wraps, but hopefully they'll find a supplier soon.

Owner is very rude! My wife and I complained about our order which she got wrong and she turned nasty! Used to visit often but not anymore as lots of other people have said in other cafés near by which are more friendly and cheaper. If you are not happy with what she says then she turns on you, very arrogent and made us feel awful so we left. Her staff are lovely girls by the way it's just the owner.

Called in for breakfast as a family of 6. Yearly weekend vacation for the fireworks. Sharon and Chris (owners) are so welcoming. Sharon is such a character, fun and made us feel like we had known them for years. Food was lovely, well presented. Such a relaxed atmosphere This is definitely our go to cafe now. Milkshake was almost £5 and very small... So very expensive... There was more cream than milkshake. Bacon was cold ❄ but in general want that bad. Tea was served cold ❄ too.. So bit disappointed for the prices

We don't live far from here and often come for a quick stopover in our campervan and visit this cafe as they are dog friendly. My father has been ill and last week I was so fed up, tired, sad looking after him. I just took the camper with the dogs midweek for a night's break on my own. Already feeling low that it was a daft thing to do on my own, It was raining and I went here for bacon on toast with the dogs. The 2 waitresses just made me feel valued, they probably didn't realise at the time that by saying hello to the dogs and spending a minute of their precious busy time was appreciated. Thanks

Lovely owner lady made me a lush omelette and my gorgeous partner some beans bacon and egg on toast. Super friendly to our dogs and gave us throws so they could join us on the sofa. Food was great, service and staff were fab, 100% recommended

My friends and I came in to see the Caffe we had heard so much about and we’re greeted with a plethora of options when it came to both food and drinks. We enjoyed the homely, welcoming atmosphere and a delicious light lunch. The lotus Biscoff milkshake, made and served to us by Rosie, was amazing and I highly recommend! Overall we loved the service provided and the milkshake was top tier, 10/10 would come again! :)

First time coming here today with my parents, we all had a limoncello cocktail and it was gorgeous also we had a cheese and toasties cook to perfection, also I'd like to say thank you to Sharon what a great manager and women she is, thank you for them words you said to me before I will always remember what you said.

Beautiful day. We took a drive up to Southport with two 'soul' intentions. 1. Listen, with unadulterated volume, to the new Queen's Of The Stone Age album. 2. Get a Full English Breakfast. First goal delivered with perfection. We parked for free down the south end of Lords Street and gently sauntered in the cool breeze laden glory of a summer's day in Southport. Inside we were warmly greeted by Taylor and we found a table and perused the menu over a generous Pot of Tea. As I debated over the choice of Full English I wanted, I was subconsciously aware of people arriving and slowly became fascinated by the amount of regulars this place has. They knew the Staff and the staff knew them. They were greeted with warm hellos and their pets were fussed over and loved. Genuine empathy and giggles were shared, whilst all this time, orders were taken, tables were cleaned, condiments delivered, chins were wagged and the place, with choreographed professionalism, ticked over nicely thank you very much. Rosie took our order and.....oh Without any time at all, Rosie delivered our Breakfasts. Wow......cool. The food is great and plentiful. (Side note. I'm quite opinionated about the size, quantities and selection of a Full English. This was gorgeous.) The place is bright and clean and so so friendly. People laughed, Cakes and Tea were quoffed. Time passed (as time does) and we were finished. And full. And happy. We payed up and we called out our Goodbyes to Rosie and Taylor. Even as I was leaving, knowing that this place isn't 'local' by at least 20 miles, I could see how easy it is that this place has so many regulars. I love Southport. Now I love it a little more.

Appalling : We first visited here 2 weeks ago and we enjoyed it so returned again this weekend as a party of 6. Wow, what a transformation within 2 weeks. After first waiting 10 minutes for a table large enough to accommodate us we eventually got one outside. As the other members of our group looked at menus to select food I went indoors to order drinks. I joined a queue of 4 other people and once I got to the front of the queue a lady with short blonde hair (later informed she is the owner) told the girl who was serving to leave serving and prepare ice creams. Eventually the owner took over the serving and asked for my order. My order of 6 drinks began with 2 ferrero rocher hot chocolates, I was immediately stopped and told I am not doing hot chocolates, I tried to explain that I was part of a group of 6 people who are going to be ordering food and then I was abruptly told 'well you are going to have to wait at least 20 minutes to order anything'. Wow. Yes I could see it was busy, the main issue was how I was spoken to, absolutely appalling from the owner who does not deserve any custom whatsoever. A restaurant /chip shop nearby Swan restaurant behind The Bold hotel were very pleased to accept our custom and the £75 we paid for it. On leaving the Caffe Dolce I asked the man outside cleaning tables if the person I had just spoken with was the owner of this cafe and he replied yes, I asked him to please inform her that I will be leaving the appropriate review across all the review sites to which he sarcastically replied with 'great' , To be honest I think he was quite shocked to see a group of 6 people being turned away he was pleasant enough, as he had been 2 weeks previously. Now after returning home I am not shocked at all in seeing similar reviews about the attitudes here. As a very frequent visitor to Southport this is most definitely one place I will never return to I hope the town of Southport are very proud to have a restaurant owner like this, thankfully there are many alternatives in Southport to select from and they can gladly have my custom, this lady and this establishment certainly dont deserve any custom at all. Life is simple, speak to people as you expect to be spoken with yourself, even more so if you are a business owner, appaling, ill mannered and obnoxious are just a few words to describe this place which in my opinion is best to avoid.

Called in today sun/28th/may.. they were heavily understaffed and yet still got 2 full breakfasts to us in less than 15mins, really really friendly owner and staff, can happily recommend.

Manager quite rude, went in to get out of the cold, after 10 minutes manger opened the door, even though we requested for it to remain shut, also not Very accomodating for wheelchair users, only go in if you like to be treated that way, not for me I'm afraid 😩

Very jolly staff and clean and warm cafe. We had an omelette each and they were very tasty and huge. Menu is reasonably priced with a variety of choices so definitely worth a visit. Not massive inside but extra space outside for summer.

A nice looking cafe, but the service was not good, we waited for ages before one of us asked for service, then to be left sitting and waiting, I finally went up to order and it was as if I’d asked for something special, the lady called another waitress out from the back who also seemed reluctant to have to serve, then they didn’t know where we we sitting the cafe with about 3 people I had to call them over. I have had a reply from the staff, thank you. Probably not
