The staff we're amazing I'm having treatment at the moment & don't have an appetite they we're so helpful got me a small dish which was fish & chips the fish was snow white I ate quite a bit which was good for me we had the baby with us 1st time in a pub for lunch they rushed 2 give a highchair it was already cleaned & kept asking was I ok & I was a good girl eating what I had well done 2 an amazing 👏 team we'll be back very soon

Great food on a Thursday lunchtime. I had rump steak with peppercorn sauce & salad. Only drank cappuccino which was good and hot. Service first class and the place was extremely clean.

Great atmosphere for all ages. Visited with family for an evening meal and drinks. There was lots of selection and great value for money. Plenty of parking. The staff were amazing and would help in any way they could. Will definitely be returning.

Absolutely great place. The staff are incredibly friendly, the food is very yummy and a variety of drinks to choose from. Been here multiple times, even joined a Pub Quiz one time! 😊 oh and there’s a pool table which is always fun!

Lovely lunch experience. Booked a table in advance. Ordering food was easy through the app and quick service for all our meals. Plenty of food in the portions and delicious tasting meals.

Just got home from the meadows First time we have been ordered garlic bread it was soggy not cooked Ordered 2 meals I got fish and chips the batter was burnt and there was no fish in it my husband got Ribeye steak which was chewy it was just fat all the way through it the only good thing was the chips Wont bother to go again

Notlike the old days but decent boozer, thatchers haze is worth one star at least

Previously my son and I have been and have enjoyed the food More recently my son and partner came and my partner was blown away with the quality of food So much so the three of us came again 24hrs later for another meal Absolutely delicious food

If l could put 0 for rating over all I would food turned after 45 mins wait when arrived I thought id ordered a triumph tester meal small portions you'd get more in a happy meal chicken tasted like it was smart price no chicken in them just batter when asked for chips apparently they had dropped the oil so couldn't cook anymore chips then had the cheek to ask us to pass them the plates and ask if we want a dessert call in maccies on the way home advice for anyone thinking of coming here stick to your local chippy cheaper and bigger portion sizes👍 Lastly CAN YOU SAY MORE ABOUT THE MEADOWS DAYLIGHT ROBBERY FOR KIDS PORTIONS

Second review lower down ......... We ordered food in this establishment last night. A mixed chicken plater and 5 spicy coated wings. I asked at the bar if I could have some extra spicey sauce and was informed the chef mike would not provide extra as it wasn't on the menu. The bar staff said they would try and ask again. I offered to pay extra but no joy. Food came out, and the chicken platter was actually nice. The 5 coated wings had almost no spicey sauce on. I asked for a refund on the wings straight away and was told they would not refund me.. Knowing my rights I did get the wings refunded. I would not go back to this place again for food. The chefs attitude was one of the worst experienced in a long time. Bar staff were amazing.. For some reason I can't do a separate review but.. We went again last night, it wasn't my choice but kids rule and all that. I actually couldn't fault the Place this time, chicken plater again brilliant. We even asked for take out boxes neither us the kids or the staff could fold together, was fun trying and we took some home to keep trying with. Amf also given plastic tubs to compensate..We will obviously go back and I might even apologise for my bad review.. 1-1. Ps still not enough hot sauce on my smotherd hot wings 😋

Best pub in Maghull by a mile. Food is sound, beers are sounder - staff are really helpful and friendly even at a busy bar. Sunday well spent and well worth the sore head this morning (I’m getting old)

Popped in a few times recently after work, and had food once. Staff were friendly and a better beer selection than there has been previously, food good as well!

First time visiting The Meadows. It was very pleasant, all the staff were very welcoming. Food was really good. The pub was busy but that didn't affect the service, the staff were very attentive.We will definitely be visiting again soon!!

I visited the Meadows on Saturday. The environment was warm and welcome. Sharon was very helpful and friendly and was a star member of staff when assisting me in making decisions on food. I would recommend this venue to my friends and hope to visit in the future

We came in on Saturday for food and a few drinks, the food was lovely and the lady called Sharon who works there couldn't do enough for us even though it was really busy she was so helpful. We'll definitely be coming back.

Staff are excellent though Sharon is the stand out member of staff. Always smiling, no matter how busy she is. Food is good value for money, with a good selection of beers.

LGBT + review Impressive venue for a chain . We enjoyed our food and staff were friendly . I presented female with no issues . Prices were reasonable especially the soft drinks . We will be back .

My son and daughter inlaw took me here and I loved it , the staff were lovely and very friendly and the food was lovely and it came out nice and hot ,loved the fact they had everything on their menu and the prices are very reasonable so yes I am definitely going back here and would recommend it to anyone.

Me and my husband went for our T after a hard week at work , unfortunately it was spoilt by children crying throughout our meal food was lovely but couldn’t wait to get out with this child screaming we did see no children on premises after 8 I think that’s abit late myself

I’ve visited the meadows a few times this week and have to say what a vast improvement in the quality of beer, food and service. Had a few meals and they all been lovely, great atmosphere, rachel and the team is lovely Great to see the meadows back on form again and going the right way

Waited an hour for starters and almost two more hours for mains had to take them out as my daughter was tired. Had options of food on the menu that when ordered was told that they weren't available. When food came the chips were hard and the steak was either overcooked and like rubber and the other one was inedible due to fat and undercooked will not return

Booked a table only to be told there’s no food when arriving on a Saturday which is laughable. Don’t let people book if you don’t have enough! also when walking up to the bar had to wait for black haired boy to finish his failed flirt conversation for him to look at the floor say nothing then make a face like I inconvenienced him so the girl next to him to inform me. Just massive time waste, won’t waste my time again

Went here for family Xmas Dinner on Xmas day. It was unfortunately a bit of a washout, with disastrous service and food. This wasn't down to a poor approach, they were suffering with an extreme staff shortage due to multiple scheduled staff calling in sick the day after Xmas eve with 'covid'. Nett result was a skeleton staff left to look after the needs of a pub full of guests expecting to be fed the full Xmas monty. Without going into the detail, the upshot was it took nearly 4 hours to get a starter and a main (couldn't eat my dinner it was dry and overcooked) and we had to give up on the desserts and coffees etc as it was had to leave so ended up with a takeaway. I haven't been to this restaurant before but was assured the food was good. Alas this was unfortunately not my experience on this occasion, which I'm sure was a result of the limited staff. Extra Mile Opportunity (management please take note) i think it would have been a good idea for management to reach out post Xmas to those diners who were affected on the day,and offer a liitle goodwill gesture along the lines of a free meal in January, would cost very little compared to what was spent on Xmas dinner and gets the customers back in the door, buying alcohol and the chance to enjoy food without the stress. Just a thought.
