I thoroughly enjoyed my visit to the place. They have organized it exceptionally well. I recommend making an advance booking to ensure a smooth experience. Upon entering, you will be provided with all the necessary booklets after purchasing them. Additionally, you can download their application for further convenience. Within the safari, you have the option of exploring via vehicle trail or foot trail. The vehicle trail lasts approximately two hours and takes you along a path where you can observe various animals. Remarkably, the animals often come very close to the car, which was particularly exciting for my child. You are permitted to re-enter the safari multiple times until the last allowed entry time, which is 3 pm. There is also an excellent amusement park that both children and adults can enjoy. Notably, events such as the sea lion show and birds of prey display are offered free of charge. Overall, you can easily spend the entire day exploring the safari and amusement park and still have a few activities left to experience.

A large and interesting park where animals move freely in huge, spacious enclosures. Of course, the greatest impression comes from visiting baboons, but you need to keep in mind that they try with interest and even enthusiasm to tear souvenirs from the car, primarily windshield wipers. The children were delighted with the entire park.

Great day out for all the family. The wristbands for the kids rides is well worth it, no wait to get on the rides despite it being the school holidays and kids went free into the safari. Animals looked well looked after, staff were friendly. Thankfully the monkeys left our car alone as they were too busy ripping an audi to bits 🤣🤣🤣 think they like Audi's. Food was nice and not expected as usually it's not nice at places like this, there was a wait for it but it was worth it in my opinion.

We visited Knowsley Safari Park over the October halfterm on a holidays deal. Great day out, they’ve made some good improvements and it’s very family friendly, perfect for all ages. The kids enjoyed the rides which adults get on for free with a paying child. We took a picnic as the food is expensive but treated ourselves to fresh doughnuts. We were there for approx 6 hours and went round twice and did all the walking routes as well.

A great trip out and very entertaining. Got stuck behind 2 slow moving Rhinos on the road. Massive horns so could inflict some real damage. Plenty of other loose rhino herds around the reserve. The monkey enclosure was an experience. Enter at your peril. First monkey jumped on the bonnet with part of the windscreen wiper of the car in front in its teeth. Thought it could strip mine but sped up a little then braked. Be wary and don't go in if your not prepared for damage. The amount of cars exiting with twisted wipers, trims sticking out, excrement and mud over the bodywork. Hilarious!! The wardens do their best to repair. Then straight into the lions. The final foot safari and sealion display is excellent. Kept us and the grandkids entertained. Good value during half term when kids went free with each adult. Would recommend and definitely go again. PS I think the monkeys are secretly building an escape vehicle. AKA Madagascar!!

Absolutely amazing safari drive. Lots to see and very close too. The foot safari however was not so great hence the 4 stars. It's not very well sign posted, not a tiger or giraffe in sight which was very disappointing. Food was absolutely amazing and very well priced costing £35 for a family meal deal (family of 4) would definitely recommend and return even if its just to see the tigers 🤣

The drive through the safari park is great fun and if you are lucky you can get very close to species of animals that you rarely get the chance to see, never mind drive a long side. Be warned that if you go in with the baboons, there is a good chance you will end up with some of your car missing ( there is an option to miss this part out). The little fair that is on site isn't too bad, although it did feel a little dated and is more geared up to smaller kids. The sea lion show was good fun and very well presented and the area that you can walk around to view some of the other animals was well laid out ( a couple of maps dotted around would have been helpful). The restaurant was excellent and quite fairly priced ,the portions were a good size and there was very little wait. There is a small gift shop that wasn't too expensive with a good range of smaller items if you're on a budget. Most importantly for these kinds of places, the animals all seemed well cared for.

This is one of my absolute favourite days out we've had. I brought the entire family this time and even my teenager was entertained. We had some incredible experiences on the safari and I highly suggest going round at least twice, once earlier in the day and once later as you see so much. However they do bring the animals in to bed near the last entrance time but that means you are more likely to see them walking up the road. Which is INSANE!!! We loved it all, we didn't risk our car in the Baboons but we watched some people loosing wipers and licence plates 🤣

Great day for kids. Rides are not included so you have to buy separate wrist bands for kids which adds on to the costs but one adult can ride free with a child. Could not see the bears or tigers as they did not leave their houses. No view point to see them inside so be prepared to not see them at all. The sea-lion show is worth a watch. Overall good day. Smelly toilets though. Staff were really nice. The train is £2 for adults each but you don't really see anything. We bought a picnic but also got a margarita pizza from the oasis which was nice. Overall a good day just wish could see the bears and tigers. The safari it self was good. Got to see rhinos, baboons and lions up close. The Giraffe were also really cool.

Great day out for the family. We have the monthly pass for £6.50 per adult cheap for children and they also include the ride wristband and believe it’s worth it. Overall not much to complain about, except the baby changing in the males toilets. This was below average and not what you would expect to see in the safari park. It was a wooden table with a changing mat on top, looked dirty and worn. No privacy the male urinals just a couple of feet away. Obviously no pictures taken in the toilet but not a nice site. Having a 4 month old we ended up using the disabled toilets that had a changer in them. The passes give you a discount in the shop and on food. Plenty to entertain children from the animal shows to the rides. Plenty of shows to see and talks to attend, if you use the safari app you plan your day so you know you won’t miss any of the events taking place, great little bit of advice as times runs away with you. Overall a positive experience and we will return back to again, great just to get out the house for a few hours.

It was a very enjoyable day for me and the family, as we visited Knowsley Safari Park for my nephew’s birthday on Sunday. We only live 15 to 25 minutes away from here and some of the family, including myself, haven’t visited here before. Despite the weather being terrible, it didn’t limit what we could do or the activities we enjoyed. The first thing we did was venture for the Baboon Bus; the driver, Eddie, was very knowledgeable on the safari and animals who live in their habitats and even added a bit of humour to the facts he shared! The journey lasted around an hour and despite it being on a minibus (we thought would have been a regular bus) you can still see a lot of the safari park and animals from your seat, and we took some wonderful pictures and videos of the experience. Sadly, no animals landed on the vehicle and we couldn’t see many of them, but it was probably due to the bad weather. However, we still had a great time and all enjoyed it. Next, we went to the Sealion show, which was okay, but found the music very noisy, and I’d recommend that to be turned down slightly in the future. The show, only lasting 20 minutes, was fun, enjoyable and the sealions (Louie and Arthur I think they were called) showed us a lot of tricks with the trainer and we all found that quite amusing to watch. After that, we decided to have lunch in the outdoor café; we had meals like hot dogs, burgers, chips and chicken nuggets. I decided on their chicken nuggets and chips, but was disappointed with the meal; as I thought the chips were overdone and the nuggets tasted horrible. Regardless of my personal experience of the food, most of the family enjoyed theirs and we all had an ice cream afterwards, which albeit expensive, was tasty and had flavours like bubblegum and cookies and cream. We then went around and enjoyed talks about the Andean bears, meerkats and giraffes, and enjoyed spotting some of them during the facts. We didn’t think these were going ahead, as it was heavily raining outside at the time, but still had found them fascinating and enjoyed learning new facts. We also had a woodland walk in the forests, which I liked doing and thought it was very peaceful especially during the rain. Finally, before the end of the day, we had some fun on the rides, you have to pay extra for this before attending; still, some of the family went on the pirate ship (I’m afraid of heights) and had a lot of fun on it; it was also funny hearing some of the family scream on the Star Dancer! | We also had fun on the carousel, the jeep and the teacups. Before leaving, we had a peek in the gift shop; and bought teddy bears, fridge magnets, ballpoint pens and figures. I thought the price of the pens and fridge magnets were expensive of £3.50 each but bought them as a memento of our time here. Summarizing the day, it was good, despite the weather, and we had a lot of fun, but thought the prices of most of the items in the shop and the tickets were expensive. That said, I would come back here again.

Great day out. Animal drive through area is fantastic, some areas was more standstill in the car than others depending on the animals in they area. Some cars just did what they wanted a overtook just to cut back in to see the animals faster. The Babboon area isn't greatly sign posted as we almost made the left hand turn to head into it. There is a safe route you can take and see them on other peoples cars within there enclosure, whilst you drive along the fence line. Next stop was the walk in zoo area which was lovely. The restaurant is slightly on the expensive side and we had long ques but we also visited during school holidays so we didn't mind. My little girl loved it and we'll be back soon!!

Wasn't impressed this time. It's several year ago since we last went so was really exited to go this weekend. Was a bit of a let down. Animals on safari were very repetitive. You now can't go up the platform or inside to see giraffes and no bat house anymore nor did we see ostrich this time (I might mean emu). Because we didn't have time to do any pack up to eat we had to use the cafe. It was quite pricey - as you'd expect, but the food we had was really nicely presented and was really nice. We had a nice day as a family, but don't think the entrance price reflexs whats inside.

It was a worth a visit but I wouldn’t go back. The monkeys were awesome but they were about the only animals other than deer we saw on the safari. The main zoo bit was also a bit lacking in animals although the tiger enclosure was massive and well set out but for only one tiger. The place was set up to take more money all the time, it felt like unless you bought the experience packages you couldn’t see the animals. Half the zoo was shut off and the only way to see a portion of it was on the railway which we didn’t see a single animal on. I appreciate animals hide but it felt more like they didn’t have any rather than they were hiding. Also without the (paid for) rides we would have been done in around 2 hours.

I really could not believe two sea lions seemed to understand and respond to both trainer and audience reaction. Overall, our visit was fine - nothing special but not dreadful. The driving route is fine, but not particularly exciting - I would not do it again, given that I have had much more regarding and interesting experiences seeing animals at other zoos and wildlife parks both in the North West and around the UK. The remainder of the park I would also describe as fine. My biggest issue was the cost and charging system. If I pay an entrance fee I do NOT want to pay extra for everything inside. Extra costs for rides, face painting, telescopes to see animals, no access to the giraffe viewing platform because it's for experience paying guests only. Very disappointing overall, albeit some of the staff were excellent including the bird of prey display.

Very disappointed.there are hardly any animals left. They used to have tigers, ostriches, American bison. All they have now are plenty of deer , baboons. Waste of money and time. Goodbye

The safari park is getting bigger. The is more animals on the way. If you haven't been in a long time to need to see what's new.

Came here in 2022 before a visit to Disney world as my non verbal autistic daughter loves giraffes. She loves all animals and enjoyed the park.

Been wanting to come here for years and it didn't disappoint. Great facilities and the safari drive was brilliant. The demos were ace, our daughter loved the birds. It was a great day out.

We decided to pop in, glad we did, lovely lady served us, freshly made breakfast, really thick bacon, mushrooms fried, not boiled, I hate boiled mushrooms, tin tomatoes, beans, black pudding and a hash brown. Loads of toast. The only thing which could have been better is the coffee, it was really weak, tasted like instant, even though they had a noisy coffee machine. Everything else was lovely.

We was here on Sunday, 6 of us and we all enjoyed our food lasagne, gammon, cheese pie, fish n chips, and 2 roast beef dinners It is not the cheapest of places but the service is good and it has a nice feel about it If you are thinking of going check that it is open first, as it is closing on Sunday 21st May and will be taken over by new people so not sure when it will open again Would I go again ? Yes I think I will give it a go whe it reopens to see what it is like John

Met my wife in town on Sunday and needed lunch. Didn’t want a pie or pasty so I suggested here. They’re always friendly and the food is good. It makes good sense and we both enjoyed it.
