Dixy Chicken - Oxford Road in Manchester

This is a straight forward chicken shop near the university campuses in Manchester but the meal I had at lunchtime was good and at a sensible price The restaurant was full of workers from the local building sites and I doubt they’d be there in numbers of it wasn’t always good Recommend

I came in on a quiet Wednesday afternoon, not 1 customer in sight but 3 workers behind the counter. One of them was twiddling her thumbs, the other on the phone and after they finally managed to take my order I had to wait half an hour even though they had no other orders. I was then served a soggy burger which was drowning in sauce, the bun was grey looked like they'd grabbed it off the floor. You'd think after 30 minutes it would be cooked all the way through but the were pink bits on the inside. If you want good food try Pizza Co next door they do lovely wraps and fast service

I visited this little Gem on Friday, 26th January 2024. I live in Lancashire, and I'm only here working in Oxford Road Manchester during the two university exam seasons in January and May. The place was clean, busy just heaving with very happy customers eating-in and taking-out. The lovely friendly morning-team Supervisor Sara, and her delightful helpers in the front of the house and the resident Chef Naiim cook up some amazing lip-smacking good Chicken! And the portions are very generous too! - The morning team are a credit to the owner. I will be visiting Dixy Chicken Oxford Road in May. I very much look forward to seeing Sara and her team again. Thanks for the lovely food and service!

Very dirty Rude staff Very slow No tables were clean and the staff were sat on their phone as if when i went to order i was interrupting something. I wouldn’t mind if it was busy with no time to clean but there were no customers for the whole duration of my trip.

Food took 40 minutes to come and the workers are rude when me and some other customers asked about what time our food would come the lady responded ina rude manner. I was also not given any form of compensation for the extremely delayed food. If you want to buy dixy I deeply suggest that you find another shop
