Dixy Chicken Kingstanding in Birmingham

I ordered some meals for delivery but they only delivered the burgers and forgot the fries. When I called to let them know, they told me to come and collect the missing items.

Shop needs modernising but new owners are great as is the food.

Absolutely wonderful staff. Always kind, polite and accommodating. The food is always fresh and delicious. Service is always super quick and you can see all the staff constantly working hard and quickly to service orders. They are usually very busy and with good reason! They are the best Dixy branch around in Birmingham IMHO (and we have tried several). My children love the food here and I have been a weekly regular for some years and cannot see any reason to change!

Website not clear I ordered what I thought was meals came just a burger. Had to go back down to get fries. Only to notice it says free delivery. My order came to £26 I was charged 29

very poor customer service ordered family treat bucket 6 piece chicken and sizzler wings two sides and a bottle of pepsi 👎🏼 sent boneless only tried to mskd out we ordered boneless when we ordered 6 piece chicken which we did not receive customer service disgusting refused to help

Every single item was wrong. I ordered a stuffed crust pizza and there was no stuffed crust. It was also burnt and looked as if they got it from a shop. The chicken was also wrong - ordered 5 wings and got three and there was only 5 pieces in our 6 pieces and 3 fries. Everything was only lukewarm and for some reason was delivered in two parts. Very disappointed as last time it was nice.

Stingy with the fries this lot. Humph.

Appalling service Ordered 1/2 peri peri x2 Meals Received 1/4 pieces when called them to complain the manager said you have received what you ordered No acknowledgment taken . They blamed there driver I was a regular customer and told to complain to uber eats.I will never order from them again Disappointed with behaviour. However appauled by what I have experienced this afternoon driver came to deliver the food and made a remark of do these people have no shame as he walked away and they are pakistani. Absolutely disgusting behaviour. My husband is very good friends with the owner but this it taking the mick and needs to be looked into the type of ppl they are employing.

I always used to order from here the last time food was stale and cold would never order again…and will inform nhs staff with whom I work…..

Hello, I just wanted to let you know that Dixy chicken has amazing customer service and their fried chicken is absolutely delicious! It's definitely worthwhile.Also they are very keen about cleaning.

Asked for a plain burger with onion, got home and had cheese burger with salad no onion and mayonnaise, which I cannot eat, was also cold and fries were hard and cold. Staff were rude. What else.is there to say but absolutely disgusting.

The place needs doing up and the food that we had tested stale did not seem fresh.

Has this branch changed ownership. Food is tasteless, the dixy sauce “pink one” normally is to die for. But now tastes of toothpaste. Awful. NOW THEY CHARGE £1 a pot. JOKE!! chicken very dry, chips was ok. Panini not its usual taste. Sorry will not be coming back. This was my local dixy have been using for 10years.

Took hour for food to arrive when we’re just 5 min away, pizza was cold so was the fry’s spoke to the shop just to get an answer that it’s not there fault and the drivers! Not ordering again waste of money! Be warned!

Ordered a bucket missing wings and strips.Phoned them still waiting!!

It WAS really good don't know what happened. Under new management? Wings are dry with the breading coming off, fries although fresh taste cheap. I asked for a spicy fillet and it come bland. I would hate to think what the original would have tasted like. Fillet was also a little bit on the thinner side. Oh and your meal doesn't come 2 free dips anymore you have to buy seperate. Their dixy sauce again WAS good but its now just salty water. Too thin. They also didn't give me salt for my fries which was another let down. Their prices have increased but their quality has decreased. Cost of living crisis is hitting boss man hard. Slade road dixy is where it is at though 👌

Well over priced dixy you dont get your moneys worth here small burgers and when you pay extra go large they give you standard size fries and charge for large.

The food I received was consistently undercooked and, in some cases, even raw, which is a serious concern for food safety. The service was equally lackluster, with staff appearing inattentive and slow. To top it off, I regret to report that a staff member treated my friend and me with extreme rudeness, which further soured our visit

EXTREMELY AWFUL EXPERIENCE This evening I went to my local dixys expecting my chicken BUT as I was digging in, it was horrid!!!!!!! It was pink and didn’t even taste like chicken; the staff where disgusting. The HALLO guy on the phone was rude. Don’t speak to him don’t go here !!!

The food, I have ordered today was chicken strips boneless bucket for 8. The chicken and chips felt like they was not fresh and warm up. My pop was warm. We don't order takeaway a lot. But we fancied a treat. And I was bitterly disappointed with the food. Didn't taste good at all. If I could give half a star I would.

What can I say been using this place for a few years but today totally put me off ordering from them! I thought there had been a change in management but it appears not so it must be the attitude of the staff! The food was cold never happened before chips were like leftovers! Missing can of pop when I rang they basically called me a liar & said they 100% put it in the bag then said they would get driver to come back I rang back twice no sign of driver when I asked to speak to manager the phone line went dead assuming they put the phone down on me! I won’t be ordering from here anymore!

The chicken piece in the burger was small half of the burger was empty didn't taste like the normal dixy chicken burger charge you a £1 for chilli sauce my regular shop is dixy is better service and food also the chilli sauce is free will not go here again

I don’t like giving bad rating but I need to as a owner of a business and even if u go to McDonald’s they sometimes say 10p for extra sauce I came to foxy bought food paid 20pounds asked for sauce he said one pound for sauce I was Abit confused he said it’s one pound common guys I bought a lot off u I’m entitles to at least one sauce disgracefully very appalled

ABSOLUTELY POOR QUALITY AND BAD CUSTOMER SERVICE. We ordered two combo meals, when it arrived, the food looked like it was partially eaten, the chicken was stale and broken in half. When I called yo get it rectified the person on the phone refused to do anything and was very rude. AVIOD. There are better places to spend your money.

Order from here last week, appalling service, I asked for the zingy burger and I was held at gun point by boss man, he said “no zingy today my friend” and proceeded to pull out a ray gun, luckily I had monkey bombs so I could escape, sadden is all I can say by this service. 0/10 will not be returning anytime soon.

The delivery service has become very poorly (placed a order at 4pm and came at 5.15pm ...they said it will be delivered in 45 minutes (always)but was late within 30 minutes again). Food was cold, meat raw and filled with oil( if anyone want evidence I have photos and a record of the raw and oily meat from Dixy). Instead of 4 chips (what came with a bucket order )they bring 3 portions of chips and cold. This is the third time, never order again from the Kinstanding Dixy Chicken end number 8555... Few months ago food was good and very quickly delivered 25-30 minutes but now they came late and uncooked always with at least 20-30minutes all the time ...When I called them ,they said in 2 minutes it will come but come after more than 20 minutes...AVOID DIXY CHICKEN KINGSTANDING

I came to Dixy chicken in kingstanding today I ordered a half peri peri chicken it tasted so nice and fresh !! The shop was very clean and organised, amazing and well co-operative staff.

Normally buy a burger meal from Dixy but after tonight, I don't think I will. I ordered the Mexican Mega Box Meal. Paid £7. There were no nacho's as usual. and the burger was a complete mess. Tomatoes and Jalapenos weren't even fresh. Also to top it off both the chicken within the burger and the drumsticks were pink, so I had to throw away due to risk of food poisoning. Used to be good service and take out food, now going downhill.

Edited as my recent visit found an ear wig in the burger, disgusting place and needs to be inspected.

Great service, really big menu with a lot of 'specials' so good idea to check out the full menu for the best deals Food was fresh, hot and tasty, staff were very friendly, it is cash only however, there is a cash machine 1 minute away but it does charge for withdrawal so go prepared to avoid the charge Very clean and tidy with seating for about 20 across 5 booths.

Terrible customer service, charging top price for rubbish food and missing items on top of that. Paid £7 for that awful burger with old lettuce which gave me a stomach ace. Only accepting cash with a cash machine outside which charge you extra money. Scam no card machine defiantly won't be visiting.

Terrible Costumer service and rude staff. I’d been a regular at this Dixy coming close to 10 years since it opened. How ever I’ll never be returning. The Iraqi manager (short guy syndrome) was so rude because I mentioned to him to cook my wedges before I get to the shop. Normally they like to make you wait 10/15 min on a collection order even if you have pre ordered. So I mentioned about the wedges. Come in store and can’t see my food so just stood there. The manager made me wait 10 min before pulling a bag from the side and saying oh here’s your food. Basically wasting my time anyway. He had already made the wedges but wanted me to wait anyway. He has a terrible attitude and it’s a shame for the guy who owns the business because 1 employee has alienated so many customers. Do not order they will mess you about.

Ridiculous prices for the absurd food being served. especially the guy they got working on the tills, no manners., no customer skills. Food portions are tiny in comparison to other dixy shops. Chicken tasted like rubber and not fresh. Only thing worth eating was the fried hence 2 stars.

Been eating there for a while now whenever am in the area and the food is OK, but my problem is with the guys who works and run the outlet! You'll be there waiting for your food and then you see guys just come and go without no regards for Food hygiene standard. And that's not cool in my book...

Don't usually eat pizza but the manager ask me and my mate to strim some weeds at the rear of the shop, and as well as paying us for the job done he also made us a cheese and tomato pizza with chicken tikka, jalapeño and sweet coin toppings. Can't say anything negative about it it was succulent

Well I would not recommend this dixy at all they are so rude my partner answered the door and all he got was abuse from the driver as I live in a tower block and the concierge wasn’t working so he had to come up and he was swearing at my partner was appalling and then I went to the door because I heard the way the driver was and he then started to give me abuse and swearing at me I have just given birth aswell so really could do without the abuse to be fare then I phoned the restaurant up and he hung up on me so phoned back and he wasn’t very polite either I will not be ordering from here again disgusting behavior

Slow service and chicken tastes bland/stale, especially compared to other dixys. For some reason this dixys is slightly more expensive than others as well. Friendly staff though.

Rubbish quality of food, service is disgusting, and they don’t respect their customers. You get served cold food made hours earlier. WORST DIXY IN THE UK! I highly advise to go elsewhere if you want to be treated with respect.

Bought the £6.99 meal box had the runs all night long. The corn on the cob tasted of vinegar. The 0.9mm fillet burger coating was like chewing chicken with pebble dash. The peice of freid chicken was dipped in crude oil. Food was luke warm. The Pepsi was exported from a east European country, The only thing worth eating was the fries. I for one will never buy from here again.

I complained about my food being cold and dry, spoke to the chap who answers the phone. He said he sells more than 400 burgers a day and that I'm the only one complaining. I said so the customer is wrong and his reply was ' yes '. Normally the food is nice but because of his reaction I can only rate 1 star. I didnt ask for a refund or wanted anything in return but only to better his company by providing a true and factual feedback but he took it very personal. Businesses who cannot take criticism should not be in business as far as I'm concerned.
