Got two number 3 meals large which cost £13.50 Good flavoursome burger, chilli sauce is good and fresh crispy fries. Tried to place my order over the phone but the guy on the other end couldn't understand what I was saying half the time. The shop itself could do with a refit. Overall always go back cause the food tastes good

We opted for dixy as a quick lunch thinking you cant go wrong with fried chicken.. boy, was we wrong. The food was supposedly cooked fresh, the mini fillet burgers barely had chicken in them, and were stone cold and dry. When we told the server behind the counter, he took 2 more out the drawer heated in microwave and gave us them. Which made them worse. The panini bread wasnt toasted and was cold. Overall a rubbish experience with food here. Avoid. There plenty more places to eat along this stretch of road.

We ordered ahead over the phone. Got to Dixy only to find they hadn't even started making the food! They were given ample time between ordering and us arriving to collect food. Bunch of jokers, wasted our time. Old owners were much better... New owners are much ruder

Uber eatz order, missed the fries and when I tried to complain, they hung the phone up.... OK so we try again a few weeks later. Order at 11.45pm on uber eatz latest arrival for 12.35am, dropped off outside someone else's address, rang 3 tines to chase up, driver arrives with food 01.45am. Ridiculous, used uber driver as excuse but in fact was their own worker.

This is place is not worth your money anymore. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. The food used to be tasty a couple of years back but now is just terrible.

Dirty dirty dirty chicken shop. How places like this are allowed to sell/prepare raw meats is beyond belief.

When I were younger I only had time for roasted chicken, couldn't stand SFC at all. I tried a KFC around 5yrs ago which increased my disliking even more especially with it's high prices! Until I discovered Dixy Chicken by accident, happened to be only takeaway unit still open when I were extremely hungry. Because I believe it has the same quality and is cheaper than KFC, I have been converted to having SFC regularly from Dixy Chicken. My only nag is the chicken legs often run out more than the breast due to demand or a high customer moment.

The food,when you order mini burger it it stay ready and when I ate it I vomited.the salad inside the mini burger was smelling,I was supposed to call police really but I was really busy.It is not safe food at all.

Depends what you order.. want a quick fix to being hungry then..the meal orders do the trick. Wings sometimes are a hit and miss..can be too crunchy from too much batter - unless u like it like that!

I'm giving 4/5 because whenever I go to pickup a bucket I'm always finding myself waiting quite some time for a fresh batch of chicken to be cooked. Fresh is undoubtedly more tasty but it takes the 'fast' out of fast food. I've heard various people say they've had bad chicken here but that's never happened to me, and the kids love it on their 'takeaway' day.

Horrible food, had to throw away all the hot wings as the taste was horrible. Normally I like foxy chicken, but not this franchisee.

I went and placed my order and was told it would be 7 minutes as the chicken was being fried. I was intially impressed with the precise time, until I had been waiting 20 minutes. Then people who arrived after me were given there order first. Then when I finally got my order I thought it beneficial to check that it was with chicken strips as that's what I had ordered. Turns out he had put wings in the box, but luckily the chap was happy to take them out the box and replace with strips. Slightly concerning thing was he placed the wings back in with the rest to presumably serve the next customer with them. I got home to discover a half empty pack of fries. Tiny chicken strips and the normal chicken which was also tiny and looked like it had seen better days. All in all I was not impressed with the food or the distinct lack of service.

Excellent! Halal! And better if not comparable to KFC. Few things though: price is perhaps less than KFC but that reflects on the serving size as well. Burgers therefore are a bit smaller. Recently tried their Panini and honestly good serving size and really delicious. Overall highly recommend it and delicious food!

The normanton road dixy chicken is ok but the one in alvaston will deffo give you the squitz, it did me both times I went and I have a strong stomach so something's going on there

I placed an order for 2 party buckets at 1pm today 27th July for it to be ready at 5.30pm to collect. This order was for a child's birthday party, when I went to collect I was told the order has not been made and will take another 45mins. This clearly is not acceptable especially when the order was placed hours before. The shop staff did not even apologise for the error on their part and were not willing to accommodate for us
