Dixy Chicken in Kirklees

Over 2 hours to deliver! Cold and soggy food!

Took well over an hour to come and was cold when it eventually got here (I live approximately a 4 minute drive away) first time ordering and won’t be doing again

Took an hour and a half to come

Wings good, pieces of chicken meh, chips rubbish. Need to ensure the chicken is crispier and that the chips are hot on delivery. 7/10 tonight Dixy

Always good tasting and generous portions, everything on the menu is always fresh and delicious. Highly recommend Huddersfield’s Dixys chicken, you would not be disappointed. 💯💯💯💯

the food was stone cold i had to warm all of it up wings chicken piece and chicken for salad and the chips absolutely terrible complete waste of money

Delivery was good, rice was nice, wings were fine but I have to be honest, I get half a chicken quite often from other places so I know what I should be getting. It’s like dixys have cut some of the chicken away from the breast piece, bit disappointing.

Was freezing cold didn’t even eat it… drivers fault

Been a customer of Dixy Chicken for some time. As a rule the food is good. Tonight's chicken was swimming in oil, to a point that I had to use kitchen roll to squeeze out the excess oil.

Can not knock Dixys! Great food but it is better getting it in store rather than delivery for some reason. Solid chicken stop regardless!

3hrs we waiting for our food and still no food delivered! Rang 3 times to which they said it was on its way each time! Still nothing! Having to now order from a different place! Absolutely ridiculous

Order was marked as delivered at 20:15 but the food didn’t show up until 20 minutes later. I called the restaurant twice before I could get a straight answer about the whereabouts of the order.

Best food in town, service is outstanding you can't go wrong and no doubt food is nice too. Owner of the shop is awesome

Waited for delivery for almost 2 hours

The order was delivered too late . When I first called they told they will deliver within 10 minutes after waiting for an hour then after 20minutes I called again and they took 15minutes more to deliver

Warm food and fresh. Apologised for being late even when he wasn’t. Wait time was long but in line with what was said before ordering. Will order again

One of the best takeaway in Huddersfield town centre, uncle is the best. he does everything to your standards.

Terrible food. Chips were cooked to the point they were basically crisps. The chicken was like leather. Must have been under the lights for hours. Don't bother unless you've drank so much your tastes buds are dead

Great fried chicken. Generous portions, tasty and cooked to perfection (none of those tiny unidentifiable, overcooked bits you get from some other fried chicken places) On time and a friendly delivery guy. A new family favourite.

Well where shall i begin what an experience never again shall i eat from this establishment, after a evening out i and my two friends ordered from here, while sat waiting for my wrap and fries i wittnessed another customer come back in and complain about the chicken been undercooked and was told it was just the colour of the bone and when the said customer carried on was told to vacate the premises in not such a polite manner ,foul language was used by a member of staff this should have been a red flag i was the called to receive my food and took it and sat down to wait for my friends i opened up my wrap to eat it n quickly checked inside only to witness what i can only describe as what was a slimey substance inside after closer inspection i realized it was flem like substance either from a sneeze or spit i gipped and just left my food on table and left with my friends who didnt bother to wait for their food, i chose not to say anything after the other customer, with my opinion, was well within their rights to complain….. disgusting food, disgusting hygiene and disgusting customer service!!!!

Avoid this place. I went in to order some chicken, and the service was the usual standard (no welcome, no smile, just dead eyes). While I sat down to eat, the men behind the counter were looking over at me and saying something in another language as if talking about me. I ended up getting food poisoning. The place should be shut down.

Not a very good place to go and eat. I believe I contracted a bug due to poor hygiene at this place. Its been 10 days still I am ill, have not got any better. Will not be going back there ever again and I will not recommend this place to anyone either. If you do go to eat here you go at your own peril.

Always love your food , chicken was a tiny bit dry this visit but that won't put us off coming back , your chicken is delicious

Disrespectful staff ordered food it came freezing rang to try sort it out they then sent things that was not what we asked for it then tried to ring back and speak to them but all they was bothered about was shouting and then out the phone down PLEASE BE CARFUL WHEN ORDERING FOOD SO RUDE!!!!

Me and my family ordered from here a while back i would avoid. Cold food. Hard chips. Made us ill. Kept trying to get me to go in store to sort it out. Offered a free meal. No as its clearly gone down hill. Still won't eat here. Just eat did nothing. Local food authorities was uninterested about the food poisoning me and my family got and no refund. Avoid

Waited 2 hours, wouldn't answer the phone for ages. Finally arrived 40 minutes after delivery time with one of the two items being completely wrong!

Drink was mentioned on burger meal but didn’t receive.

All good, but was sent normal mayo instead of the ordered garlic mayo....

missing food from order wont be using again

In all honesty. The chicken was super dry. The chips were cold and solid. The rice and cucumber were the best bits and the rice was cold 😂 Garlic mayo was nice. Needed a bucket load though to get it down. Sorry not great.

Cold chips inedible. 3 corn on the cobs missing THAT IV PAYED FOR! 20 mins late. Thirty quid on 3 burgers n 3 cans of pop. Nobody ate!. I don't want fresh food bringing i want my money back! If u couldn't get it right the first time i have no confidence that you can do it a second time.

The food was amazing as always didn't order chilli sauce but had a laugh when my toungue was on fire because of the spice of the sauce I love this place its better than kfc

Quarter peri chicken with half chips half rice, hits every time! Seasoned well, rice tastes like home made biryani, and the chips with their signature chilli sauce is a must. Always get this meal, I would definitely recommend!

The food was very disgusting unfortunately! I asked for spicy chicken wings and they were as bland as tasteless!! The chips were soggy and salsa looked as if it was there for days! The salad didn’t look fresh as it should. It stated on my just eat that my order had been delivered and I hadn’t received it. I rang the takeaway and the man on the phone was rude and useless saying ‘ ohh it’s not our problem’ - how disgusting and disrespectful! I will never order from this place again. There was no Q

As a whole, I was happy with my meal, tho it wasn't exactly what I'd ordered. A piece of chicken was missing, but there was what appeared to be a chicken burger in its place. There were also 2 chicken wings. So I suppose I came out on top, but it'd be nice to actually get the order I've made.

The delivery driver was really rude and aggressive and threw my receipt at me will never order again as a young women was very intimidated defiantly not approve of this!!

Food initially arrived on time, but on opening the bag my fries were missing. After contacting them it was close to an hour before they delivered the missing item.

Waited an hour and 20 mins for oily and bland food. So disappointed.
