Incredibly noisy huge restaurant. If you like creamy curries with little discernable spice then this is the place for you. Then add 12.5% service charge.

Fantastic from start to finish. We had a booming but arrives early and was seated within seconds. Our server Alex was very attentive and explained the menu well. The food was ordered and our first dish arrived within 15 mins. The food was amazing and I am looking forward to my next trip to Dishoom! We also got a free dessert for my partner's birthday! We have no photos because we were too egar to try it all!

Our recent New Year's lunch at Dishoom with four other families had a positive start.the ambiance was warm and inviting, and the staff member who explained the menu was very helpful. However, we encountered several issues. Firstly, despite the menu stating service charges are optional, we were met with resistance when we attempted to exclude them from our bill. We felt this was justified as the service fell short of our expectations. The small plates provided for both starters and main courses were inadequate, leaving a less-than-ideal dining experience, especially considering the restaurant's emphasis on authentic Indian cuisine. Secondly, the limited gravy options (only four) severely restricted our choices. This forced us to order the same chicken ruby gravy repeatedly, which became monotonous. We believe this menu may cater more towards diners unfamiliar with the diverse flavors of Indian cuisine. Furthermore, while the waitstaff inquired about our dining experience, they were inattentive to basic service needs, such as clearing used plates, refilling water, and ensuring adequate table space. Finally, the portion sizes were disappointingly small, leaving us feeling unsatisfied despite the high overall cost. This left us feeling that Dishoom, despite its popularity, may not be the most value-for-money dining experience for families."

The restaurant is overpriced for the limited variety of main courses offered. The lack of options left us disappointed, and the quality didn’t justify the cost. Wouldn’t recommend for those seeking value for money.

Had a wonderful time at Dishoom Birmingham with my family. The food was excellent, loved the house daal, garlic naan, Vada pav. We were Served by Manjeet Singh, he was lovely and did great service to the family and especially my son

It was myself and my partners first visit to here and the entire team were nothing but attentive , professional and passionate about their work! As much as the entire team went the extra mile , to safe to say Matt (our host) made our entire experience the best from start to finish ! Safe to say we’ll be coming back !

Chicken Ruby = Heinz cream of tomato soup with very thin sliced chicken complete with skin and fat attached. As far away from a curry as you could possibly imagine.

Feel the pricing is over the top. Delicious lassi but in a tiny glass, tasteless fish dish, too much cardamon throughout so everything tastes same, and so on. Great service tho note the 12.5% service charge is auto applied. I almost paid a tip on top. Good location.

Had a wonderful time out for dinner with the family. Great restaurant, great atmosphere, great staff and great food.

Lovely food, found table quickly for us and helpful when choosing a gluten free meal. Visited with a friend has someone who has visited Mumbai very authentic in decor. However the resturant is very busy and noisy so difficult for conversation even with the waiter.

Great food, fair enough prices for the value and staff is friendly and helpful. I've been here a couple of times and always end up ordering the Mattar Paneer, it's one of the best I've had amongst different places. Some people complain about the discretionary 12.5% tip that they automatically add to the bill. You can always aske them to remove it if you wish. Personally, I appreciate the good service they try to offer.

On Sunday 1st December, my wife, daughter, and I had the pleasure of dining at Dishoom in Birmingham, and it was an experience to remember! The food was absolutely delicious, with the Vegan Bombay breakfast quickly becoming a family favourite. The bottomless chai refills were the perfect accompaniment, warming us up on a chilly day. Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. What truly elevated our visit was the outstanding service we received from our server, Megan. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout our meal, making us feel so well looked after. What really impressed us was her dedication: although we saw her heading off on her break, she noticed we were ready to settle our bill and delayed her break to assist us. Her professionalism and care were exemplary – amazing customer service! To top it all off, the team surprised us with a plate of scrumptious pancakes, complete with a candle, to celebrate my birthday. This thoughtful gesture truly made the day feel special. A huge thank you to Megan and the team at Dishoom Birmingham for creating such a memorable experience for our family. We can’t wait to return!

Great food served quickly in a lovely restaurant.

Came here for breakfast and it was certainly the best decision. We had a great Host Kim, he was very attentive and very polite. Knew the menu well and always had a smile on his face when he came over to us. Food was yummy, highly recommend the sausage naan roll and the bacon and Brie naan roll. Left feeling very full and content.
