Great food, fair enough prices for the value and staff is friendly and helpful. I've been here a couple of times and always end up ordering the Mattar Paneer, it's one of the best I've had amongst different places. Some people complain about the discretionary 12.5% tip that they automatically add to the bill. You can always aske them to remove it if you wish. Personally, I appreciate the good service they try to offer.

On Sunday 1st December, my wife, daughter, and I had the pleasure of dining at Dishoom in Birmingham, and it was an experience to remember! The food was absolutely delicious, with the Vegan Bombay breakfast quickly becoming a family favourite. The bottomless chai refills were the perfect accompaniment, warming us up on a chilly day. Every dish we tried was packed with flavour and beautifully presented. What truly elevated our visit was the outstanding service we received from our server, Megan. She was warm, friendly, and incredibly attentive throughout our meal, making us feel so well looked after. What really impressed us was her dedication: although we saw her heading off on her break, she noticed we were ready to settle our bill and delayed her break to assist us. Her professionalism and care were exemplary – amazing customer service! To top it all off, the team surprised us with a plate of scrumptious pancakes, complete with a candle, to celebrate my birthday. This thoughtful gesture truly made the day feel special. A huge thank you to Megan and the team at Dishoom Birmingham for creating such a memorable experience for our family. We can’t wait to return!

We were served by Robert this evening and he took amazing care of us all night. He made sure we were well looked after and gave us great suggestions when needed. The food and drinks were of such great quality as well. An overall great experience!

Came here for breakfast and it was certainly the best decision. We had a great Host Kim, he was very attentive and very polite. Knew the menu well and always had a smile on his face when he came over to us. Food was yummy, highly recommend the sausage naan roll and the bacon and Brie naan roll. Left feeling very full and content.

Came to Birmingham with my husband to celebrate an anniversary. Had been to the Manchester dishoom so had some idea. We really enjoyed the whole experience. The food was amazing and everyone was friendly and helpful. Would highly recommend and can't wait to visit again

Last time we went to Dishoom we had the best meal, which is why we went back. I have a garlic allergy and our first visit they were amazing. I had a delicious starter and curry followed by what is, without doubt, the most amazing chai ever. This time the waitress told me to scan the QR code for allergies. When I explained garlic wasn't on there she just kept repeating it was going to be difficult. I asked her if she could ask the chef what I could have (always the easiest way) and she reluctantly did...apparently... This time I could have a salad. Full stop. Apparently there isn't anything in the kitchen, not marinaded, including the paneer. Nothing. She went back and forward very reluctantly with a menu and red crayon, which she crossed out garlic naan, and every third word called me 'my love' in the most condescending way, like I was just being a nuisance. I have never been made to feel so inconvenient, which was such a shame as last time it was amazing. My daughters were with me and when I politely asked the waitress to stop saying 'my love' she then refused to speak to me, directing everything to them. My salad was nice, a shame that there are no fresh ingredients in the kitchen to cater for an allergy and no option to think outside the box for a customer. Also, the waitress, the worst experience I think I have ever had in regard to customer service.

Great breakfast as Dishoom, Birmingham. Having visited several of the branches, we found Birmingham to have the best service. Big shot out to our server Beth, who dispute being relatively new, was excellent. Big Bombay breakfast was super and very accommodating in our requested changes. Bottomless chai drinks. Food - great Service - great Would I come again - yes!

Thank you for accommodating our large party on 28th November. The service was amazing, friendly and they made us feel right at home. Unfortunately, I didn't catch the guys name who kept us all in order with our meals (as there were cancellations and changes to our pre order) but everything was done with a smile and he made us all feel very comfortable. The food was so tasty and so much to choose from, we will have to return to try some other dishes soon. Thank you again

Great time at brunch here ! Maximilian was a great host and was kind and attentive to our needs. He was very helpful with finding the vegan and allergy menus for my friend. Will definitely be visiting again soon!

The best breakfast in Birmingham. When we first walked in, we were greeted by Tiffany who gave superb customer service and made us feel so welcomed. The rest of the customer service was very good and the food was superb. I had the “wrestler’s naan” with masala beans, which tastes delicious and would thoroughly recommend. Dishoom gives some of the best customer service and food there is, in my opinion.

Loved it. Called for breakfast today, the sausage and egg naan was the best breakfast I've eaten, worldwide 🌐 Mrs loved her bacon and brie naan. Service from Ryan was 10/10, friendly and informative. My only negative is I don't like the environment darkened for later, personal preference, and we were sat in a cold area. We booked in for dinner on the strength of our earlier, positive experience. I visited here as a lone diner on Saturday night around 10pm. From the minute I walked in the door, staff were incredible, asking me how my day was while walking me to my table. The gentleman who took my order was polite and helpful. My food arrived within 15 minutes of ordering. Everything was fresh and piping hot. My server had to take his dinner break during my visit so he informed me and introduced the other server to me and explained my order to the new server too. This is definitely well above Dishoom level service. Absolutely incredible service that you don't find anymore. I was offered a complimentary masala tea at the end of my meal and when staff found out why I was having a celebratory meal, they offered to take the bill and paid for my meal. Despite me insisting on paying, Manjeet was very polite and respectful about the staff&company joining in with my celebration. Humanity above all else. I had Amritsar fish for starters, which was just perfect with the mint chutney, piping hot and a good 8 strips portion. For mains I had the chicken biryani it's definitely a one person portion, was so fragrant and well spiced with the right amount of heat for a Biryani. I also had the Dishoom salad which was the best dish for me - apple, kiwi, peach, cucumbers, red chilli, rocket, spring onion, tomatoes. It was a delicious concoction. Well done to the staff, absolutely outstanding service.

As always dishoom being busy place we had to wait for 45mins.. they were very kind and generous to give us chai while we were waiting outside in cold.. they gave us space on bar.. we had some beer.. and then wd got our table finally and the Food was awesome .. we has rara rogan josh, sheekh kebab it was just amazing. In dessert we had pistachio kulfi and coconut crumble (but they served us chocolate pudding by mistake and that was good too) but they rectified it and gave is our coconut crumble . And service was amazing and we were served by pedro..

The quality of chicken was awful. It had fat and weird pieces in our Butter chicken. Put me off of their food. The service and atmosphere was great but for food, it's not authentic Indian food. Someone who wants authentic Indian food, please avoid. Thank you.

Second visit to Dishoom Birmingham. Food was tasty. Ordered Rara gosht is must try and loved the lamb and masala. Ruby chicken was not great this time. Service was too slow and hand to wait 15 mins just for the bill. If you have enough time to wait then could try this.

Nice hip restaurant, delicious fresh Indian fusion food with frequently changing menus. Good friendly and efficient service. It's not super cheap though, at £30-35 a head for a main course with a nan bread and a beer (including service charge). A bit noisy too, so maybe not ideal for a couple date.

Friendly service & gorgeous food. The chocolate pudding with chilli ice cream is quite the best dessert ever!

THE VIBE, THE AMBIENCE, THE SERVICE. Everything was amazing. The food is scrumptious. Better than the Indian food I have had personally. Mr. Max was amazing with his service, very helpful, took us through the menu really well. This is one of the most genuine reviews I've ever written. I actually mean it, if you're not going here, your loss. PS : over all we enjaayed a lot saar (only telugu people can understand 😂)

To celebrate turning 62 years old we chose to start the celebration off with having a meal at Dishoom Birmingham. I booked a table for my wife and l on-line, the process in doing so was so was so painless. Our welcome from the staff on the front desk was superb, big smiles and laughter. The decor and the ambiance is a sensory delight and experience with the smell of burning incense filling the air. The menu is very interesting too. My wife chose Vegan sausage naan, with grilled mushrooms and l chose A Parsi three egg omelette, with grilled mushrooms and Marsala beans, plus a bowl of date and banana porridge. Needless to say we thoroughly enjoyed our breakfast. A special thank you to the member of the team that took our order. He was not only very welcoming and helpful, but he also assisted in finding my wallet that l had dropped on leaving the table. Such a relief. I would thoroughly recommend eating at Dishoom Birmingham.

Absolutely wonderful from start to finish! I work in the industry myself as management and it felt almost naughty to be off work and visiting a restaurant on a Saturday. The host was so relaxed (no matter what anyone says the host has the hardest job, juggling tables and greeting hungry guests than can sometimes be rude) and when I say it was busy… it was BUSY! All the team were calm and collected, no one was running around everyone seemed on top of their sections. It was so chilled and not chaotic at all. The food was to die for! Have been here a handful of times in the past but not in a long time and it was an absolute treat to eat such good food in the centre of Birmingham. Also for anyone that moans about optional service charge as I’ve seen in previous reveiws … it’s in the name “optional” the system adds it itself and not the waiters so calm down. Couldn’t fault our visit at all! Thank you dishoom

I visited Dishoom Birmingham with two friends who had not eaten at Dishoom before. It did not disappoint. The whole experience was exceptional. No long after being seated our service came over with water and menus. After a detailed explanation of the menu and some recommendations our order was taken. The food was promptly serviced and it was delicious. I wanted to introduce my friends to the house chai but we didn’t have time. On paying the bill I mentioned that it would be nice if they did take out. Our server overheard this and as we left he brought three cups of chai. It made our night. The little gestures go a long way.
