Fantastic food and even better service. The fish and veg pakora were standouts, both super fresh. Every member of staff was so friendly, but none more so than the generous chef who made our babies 1st birthday extra special. Can't wait to return.

Meal was good, service poor, waiter was not very welcoming and when I said "Good night" he made a grumbling sound and didn't look up from the counter.

The Pashwari nan tastes good, while the spiced haddock and garlic chicken is bad tasted. The basmati rice costs £4.5 but was provided in a very small bowl, which definitely overpriced. Overall the service is good.

Food's good. Atmosphere is good. The service was atrocious. Went in today and the waitress gave us attitude from start to end. I genuinely do not know what her problem is. A lot of eye rolling, a lot of passive aggression throughout the meal. Towards the end, she also tried to clear our plates before we are done (there are so many empty table around so I don't think they have any reason to rush us out). When we said we need more time, she came back minutes later and started clearing the plates this time without checking with us first. We're still finishing our drink as she sprayed disinfectant around the table, rolling her eyes as she ordered us to remove our drinks. What a shame. My friends came to visit from out of country and I've told them how much I enjoy the food at Mother India as I've eaten here many times. I'm genuinely ashamed that this is the service they received after their journey.

Without doubt the best curry in Glasow.

The food is good. I enjoyed my meal. Dining was very tight and difficult to move about. Everyone seemed upset that we arrived without reservations. We did get a table, but not without a fuss from the hostess.

Takeaway - let's try focus on "fresh" again. Pakora, bread and dhal were all sub par.

Had a lovely £11 lunchtime special here today, absolutely lovely. Poppadom and onion. Curry of choice with rice and chapati. Hadn't been for a while, will be returning soon.

Hi well I cannot believe I`ve never been here before.....never tasted Indian food like it, delicious, so much to choose from and such large portions. Staff so helpful and friendly. Only small issue is you don`t has a small, even portable ramp for wheelchair, however staff did help me in. Cannot wait to come back, even their cafe next door looked amazing Thank you

Ordered a takeaway from here and received a dish what I can only describe as soup vegetables (peas, potatoes, broccoli, carrots) in a clove flavoured gravy, it was absolutely vile and unlike anything I’ve ever had before. We also ordered fish, vegetable and chicken pakora and there wasn’t any obvious way to tell any of these apart, the chicken pakora also had veg in it which was confusing. The only thing that was half decent about the meal we received was the fact that it was hot when it arrived.

Thank for a great order on Uber eats - for ifatr and came with a complimentary salad we ordered biryani and garlic naan very tasty 5 stars !

Every time we fly in to Glasgow - Mother India is always our first meal in Scotland! Incredibly consistently good food!!!

When choosing a restaurant, consistency is key, and the 'den' defines consistency. Food was amazing as always, great service and lovely atmosphere.

They never fail!!! The best pakora and great portions. Got it through just eat and arrived in 10 minutes. Outstanding quality and service. I’ll never order pakora from anywhere else

Just had a fabulous family lunchtime meal in the den. Which is the sister restaurant next door part to the amazing Mother india restaurant. Outstanding taste, service. Another level.

Tasty food, pleasant service, nice informal setting. Menu is a bit limited if you are a vegetarian. Kids loved the children dishes and it was a superb value.

Absolutely the best Indian food I have ever experienced,I have been going to Mother Indian for 20 years,it never disappoints as you can work your way through the selected menu and it just better and better,the staff including Jamie are outstanding never keep you waiting and your take away order is always on point!! I would advise anyone to experience this fantastic Indian,the quality is second to none and is completely addictive..I strongly advise to get down and treat yourself.

I love this place, the food is delicious. It's a small menu but everything is great. You can bring your own wine. They sell beer. West St Mungo is my favourite. There is good atmosphere. Go here, eat and be merry.

2days ago we went to mother India cafe and I gave 3 star over all. Today we den dining in. Every thing was good. Specially the chef named Binda. He made Dal makhni from scratch for us and gave us Missi roti complimentary. Excellent table service by man from Chennai. Sorry forgot to ask his name. Much better then mother I dia cafe. 👍👍

Truly one of the best Indian dining experiences we had in years! The food was exeptional. The small yet well rounded menu was divine and we wanted to order all the dishes. And many seafood dishes to choose from. An explosion of great authentic flavours. The service was outstanding. A must if you visit or live in Glasgow. This is an instution for a justified reason. Thank you for a lovely experience. We are still raving about the quality of the dishes and ingredients. We will be back over and over again.

Had an amazing meal with my girlfriend here. All the food was delicious - in particular she loved the peshwari nan and we both thought that the Dosa starter was incredible. Our waiter Joseph very helpful and accommodative, best service I've had in a restaurant in Glasgow so far.

Never sat in but ive gotten food to take home few times. They are amazing! Set meal for 2 is a steal and so delicious! Tarka dhal and the naan breads are so good!!

Some of the best food in Glasgow.

When it comes to Indian restaurants, I review based on a few different factors. Those being; price, taste and the lighting of the restaurant . The first two I could safely tick-off, the last well, I'll let you see for yourself. I don't know the windows but like marmite you'll either love them or you'll hate them. Thanks Mother India!!! Loved the saag!

Interesting menu, all personal service

This small place bang opposite Kelvingrove museum has amazing food. The dish that got us back to this place is the, “karahi tava chicken”. This is an absolute delight with chicken pieces which just melt in your mouth. The light flavours are fantastic and perfectly balanced. We also tried the dal makhani, rice, naan, South Indian chilli garlic prawns and not one of these disappointed. Dak makhani here can stand against any well made dal makhani in Delhi. The naans are fluffy and don’t get rubbery when cold. I’d recommend any fan of Indian cuisine to pay to visit here once when in GLASGOW. P.S. first time the missus and I finished everything we ordered at any restaurant.
